We present a theoretical scheme for broadband multi-channel quantum noise suppression and phase-sensitive modulation of continuous variables in a coupled resonant system with quantum entanglement properties.The effects of different coupling strengths,pumping power in suppressing quantum noise and controlling the width of quantum interference channels are analyzed carefully.Furthermore,quantum noise suppression at quadrature amplitude is obtained with phase-sensitive modulation.It shows that the entanglement strength of the output field and the quantum noise suppression effect can be enhanced significantly by a strong pumping filed due to interaction of pumping light with the nonlinear crystal.The full width at half maxima(FWHM)of the noise curve at the resonant peak(△=0 MHz)is broadened up to 2.17 times compared to the single cavity.In the strong coupling resonant system,the FWHM at △=0 MHz(△=±3.1 MHz)is also broadened up to 1.27(3.53)times compared to the weak coupling resonant system case.The multi-channel quantum interference creates an electromagnetically induced transparent-like line shape,which can be used to improve the transmission efficiency and stability of wave packets in quantum information processing and quantum memory. 展开更多

Specialized pro-resolving lipid mediators including maresin 1 mediate resolution but the levels of these are reduced in Alzheimer's disease brain, suggesting that they constitute a novel target for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease to prevent/stop inflammation and combat disease pathology. Therefore, it is important to clarify whether they counteract the expression of genes and proteins induced by amyloid-β. With this objective, we analyzed the relevance of human monocyte–derived microglia for in vitro modeling of neuroinflammation and its resolution in the context of Alzheimer's disease and investigated the pro-resolving bioactivity of maresin 1 on amyloid-β42–induced Alzheimer's disease–like inflammation. Analysis of RNA-sequencing data and secreted proteins in supernatants from the monocyte-derived microglia showed that the monocyte-derived microglia resembled Alzheimer's disease–like neuroinflammation in human brain microglia after incubation with amyloid-β42. Maresin 1 restored homeostasis by down-regulating inflammatory pathway related gene expression induced by amyloid-β42 in monocyte-derived microglia, protection of maresin 1 against the effects of amyloid-β42 is mediated by a re-balancing of inflammatory transcriptional networks in which modulation of gene transcription in the nuclear factor-kappa B pathway plays a major part. We pinpointed molecular targets that are associated with both neuroinflammation in Alzheimer's disease and therapeutic targets by maresin 1. In conclusion, monocyte-derived microglia represent a relevant in vitro microglial model for studies on Alzheimer's disease-like inflammation and drug response for individual patients. Maresin 1 ameliorates amyloid-β42–induced changes in several genes of importance in Alzheimer's disease, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target for Alzheimer's disease. 展开更多

The microstructures and lap-shear behaviors of friction stir lap linear welded as-extruded 6061 Al alloy to as-cast Mg–3.0Nd–0.2Zn–0.7Zr(wt.%)(NZ30K)alloy joints were examined.Various tool rotation and travel speeds were adopted to prepare the joints.The analysis of temperature field indicates that the peak temperature for each sample can reach 450℃,which exceeds the eutectic reaction temperatures of 437℃ and 450℃ according to the binary phase diagram of Al–Mg system.The fierce intermixing can be found at the interface between Al and Mg alloys,forming the intermetallic of Al_(3)Mg_(2).Welds with the rotation speed of 900 rpm and travel speed of 120 mm/min display the highest tensile shear failure load of about 2.24 kN.The value was increased by 13%after the sample was heat treated at 400℃ for 0.5 h. 展开更多

Several problems, such as the relations of the cycle times to the depth and tip radius of the notch, loading frequency, loading range and the parameters of fracture design for medium carbon steel on condition of extra-low axial fatigue loading were discussed based on the experiments. Experimental results indicated that the tension-pressure fatigue loading mode was suitable for extra-low cyclic fatigue fracture design of medium carbon steel and it resulted in low energy consumption, fracture surface with high quality, low cycle times, and high efficiency. The appropriate parameters were as follows: loading frequency 3-5 Hz, notch tip radius r = (0.2-0.3) mm, opening angle α = 60°, and notch depth t = (0.14-0.17)D. 展开更多

Objective:Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),apart from its predominant roles in angiogenesis,can enhance cancer cell proliferation,but its mechanisms remain elusive.The purpose of the present study was therefore to identify how VEGF regulates cancer cell proliferation.Methods:VEGF effects on cancer cell proliferation were investigated with the VEGF receptor 2 inhibitor,Ki8751,and the breast cancer cell lines,MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231,using flow cytometry,mass spectrometry,immunoblotting,and confocal microscopy.Data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance followed by Tukey’s multiple comparison test.Results:VEGF blockade by Ki8751 significantly reduced cancer cell proliferation,and enhanced breast cancer cell apoptosis.Mass spectrometric analyses revealed that Ki8751 treatment significantly upregulated the expression of mitochondrial proteins,suggesting the involvement of mitochondrial biogenesis.Confocal microscopy and flow cytometric analyses showed that Ki8751 treatment robustly increased the mitochondrial masses of both cancer cells,induced endomitosis,and arrested cancer cells in the high aneuploid phase.VEGFR2 knockdown by sh RNAs showed similar effects to those of Ki8751,confirming the specificity of Ki8751 treatment.Enhanced mitochondrial biogenesis increased mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation and stimulated reactive oxygen species(ROS)production,which induced cancer cell apoptosis.Furthermore,Ki8751 treatment downregulated the phosphorylation of Akt and PGC1α,and translocated PGC1αinto the nucleus.The PGC1αalterations increased mitochondrial transcription factor A(TFAM)expression and subsequently increased mitochondrial biogenesis.Conclusions:VEGF enhances cancer cell proliferation by decreasing Akt-PGC1α-TFAM signaling-mediated mitochondrial biogenesis,ROS production,and cell apoptosis.These findings suggested the anticancer potential of Ki8751 via increased mitochondrial biogenesis and ROS production. 展开更多

Traditional data driven fault detection methods assume that the process operates in a single mode so that they cannot perform well in processes with multiple operating modes. To monitor multimode processes effectively,this paper proposes a novel process monitoring scheme based on orthogonal nonnegative matrix factorization(ONMF) and hidden Markov model(HMM). The new clustering technique ONMF is employed to separate data from different process modes. The multiple HMMs for various operating modes lead to higher modeling accuracy.The proposed approach does not presume the distribution of data in each mode because the process uncertainty and dynamics can be well interpreted through the hidden Markov estimation. The HMM-based monitoring indication named negative log likelihood probability is utilized for fault detection. In order to assess the proposed monitoring strategy, a numerical example and the Tennessee Eastman process are used. The results demonstrate that this method provides efficient fault detection performance. 展开更多

Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)affects 1-2%of all children and poses a great social and economic challenge for the globe.As a highly heterogeneous neurodevelopmental disorder,the development of its treatment is extremely challenging.Multiple pathways have been linked to the pathogenesis of ASD,including signaling involved in synaptic function,oxytocinergic activities,immune homeostasis,chromatin modifications,and mitochondrial functions.Here,we identify secretagogin(SCGN),a regulator of synaptic transmission,as a new risk gene for ASD.Two heterozygous loss-of-function mutations in SCGN are presented in ASD probands.Deletion of Scgn in zebrafish or mice leads to autism-like behaviors and impairs brain development.Mechanistically,Scgn deficiency disrupts the oxytocin signaling and abnormally activates inflammation in both animal models.Both ASD probands carrying Scgn mutations also show reduced oxytocin levels.Importantly,we demonstrate that the administration of oxytocin and anti-inflammatory drugs can attenuate ASD-associated defects caused by SCGN deficiency.Altogether,we identify a convergence between a potential autism genetic risk factor SCGN,and the pathological deregulation in oxytocinergic signaling and immune responses,providing potential treatment for ASD patients suffering from SCGN deficiency.Our study also indicates that it is critical to identify and stratify ASD patient populations based on their disease mechanisms,which could greatly enhance therapeutic success. 展开更多

Smart materials,such as stimuli-responsive luminescence,have attracted much attentions due to their potential application in semiconductor filed.In this context,platinum complexes of(dfppy-DC)Pt(acac) and(dfppy-O-DC)Pt(acac) were prepared and characterized,in which(2-(4',6'-difluorophenyl)pyridinato-N,C2')(2,4-pentanedionato-0,0)Pt(Ⅱ) was used as the planar emission core and 9-(4-(phenylsulfonyl)phenyl)-9 H-carbazole(DC) was regard as the bent pendent.Both platinum complexes showed bright emission in solution and solid state,concomitant with charming external-stimuli-responsive emission under mechanical grinding,organic solvent vapors and pressure.The change emission color spanned from yellow to near-infrared region.Using the platinum complexes as the dopant,solution processable organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs) were fabricated and a maximum external quantum efficiency of ~18% was achieved,which is the highest value among the reported solution-processable OLEDs based on externalstimuli-responsive luminescence.This research demonstrated that platinum complex can show promising stimuli responsive emission via ingenious molecular design,indicating a novel way for developing the smart materials in semiconductor filed. 展开更多
