Background:In order to clarify the inmpat ofγirradiation on the chemical composition of traditional Chinese medicine,this paper carefully choosed Chuanxiong Rhizoma to carry on a demonstration study.Methods:Through a meticulous assessment,a comprehensive comparison was made between the irradiated and unirradiated Chuanxiong Rhizoma samples.The property characteristics were investigated by colorimeter and electronic nose.The changes in chemical structures and contents was analyzed by fourier infrared spectroscopy,high performance liquid chromatography and fingerprinting.In a quest to uncover the presence of any new radiolysis products,cutting-edge techniques like ultra performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time of flight-mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry were employed.Moreover,the difference of antioxidant activity were investigated.Results:The irradiation doses within 12 kGy had no significant effects on the content of the main chemical components,characteristics and in vitro antioxidant activity of Chuanxiong Rhizoma,while changes in some functional groups and degradation of some volatile oil components containing olefins need further study.Conclusion:This study indicates that^(60)Co-γirradiation is a stable method for sterilization of Chuanxiong Rhizoma.It’s also provide a reference for the establishment of irradiation standards for Chuanxiong Rhizoma and other aromatic medicinal plants. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Early gastric cancer(EGC)is typically treated with endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD).However,recurrence may occur after ESD,requiring surveillance.AIM To examine the knowledge,attitude,and practice(KAP)of EGC survivors following ESD regarding gastric cancer recurrence.METHODS This cross-sectional study was conducted between June 1,2022 and October 1,2022 in Zhejiang,China.A total of 400 EGC survivors who underwent ESD at the Affiliated Jinhua Hospital,Zhejiang University School of Medicine participated in this study.A self-administered questionnaire was developed to assess KAP monitoring gastric cancer after ESD.RESULTS The average scores for KAP were 3.34,23.76,and 5.75 out of 5,30,and 11,respectively.Pearson correlation analysis revealed positive and significant correlations between knowledge and attitude,knowledge and practice,and attitude and practice(r=0.405,0.511,and 0.458,respectively;all P<0.001).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that knowledge,attitude,13-24 mo since the last ESD(vs≤12 mo since the last ESD),and≥25 mo since the last ESD(vs≤12 mo since the last ESD)were independent predictors of proactive practice(odds ratio=1.916,1.253,3.296,and 5.768,respectively,all P<0.0001).CONCLUSION EGC survivors showed inadequate knowledge,positive attitude,and poor practices in monitoring recurrences after ESD.Adequate knowledge,positive attitude,and a longer time since the last ESD were associated with practice. 展开更多

The effect of low voltage and low concentration contrast agent on image quality of coronary CT angiography,radiation dose and iodine intake was evaluated.A total of 121 patients with body mass index(BMI)<26 kg/m2 and heart rate(HR)<70 beats/min were randomly divided into four groups:group A(n=31,80 kVp,270 mgl/mL);group B(n=33,100 kVp,270 mgl/mL);group C(h=30,100 kVp,320 mgl/mL);group D(w=27,100 kVp,400 mgl/mL).The automatic current modulation system and the iterative algorithm for reconstruction were adopted in each group.The CT values and SD values of the aortic root(AR),subcutaneous fat,left coronary artery opening(LCA),and right coronary artery opening(RCA)were measured in all groups,the signalto-noise ratio(SNR)and contrast noise ratio(CNR)were calculated,and effective radiation dose and iodine intake were recorded.The subjective assessment for image quality was performed by two physicians using a 4-point scale.The results were compared using the one-way ANOVA and rank sum tests.The image quality of the four groups met the clinical diagnostic requirements.The CT values of AR in groups A,B,C,and D were 537.6±71.4,447.2±81.9,445.2±64.9 and 518.5±94.9 Hu,respectively,with no significant difference between group A and group D,or between group B and group C,while CT values in groups B and C were significantly lower than those in groups A and D(P<0.05).In groups A,B,C,and D,the LCA SNR values were 22.7±9.1,23.3±9.1,23.3±7.7 and 26.6±8.9,and the RCA CNR values were 26.9±9.&28.5±11.4,27.7土&8 and 32」±10.6,respectively.The AR visual scores in groups A,B,C and D were 3.8±0.2,3.9±0.3,3.9±0.3 and 4.0±0.3,respectively.There were no significant differences in SNR,CNR and visual score among the four groups(P>0.05).The radiation doses in groups A,B,C and D were 2.6±1.4,3.6±1.&4.9±3.5 and 4.9±2.8 mSv,respectively.The radiation dose in group A was significantly less than that in the rest three groups(P<0.05).The iodine intakes in groups A,B,C and D were 14.9±1.5,15.0±1.5,17.7±2.0 and 18.1±2.5 g,respectively.There was no significant difference in the intake of iodine between groups C and D,or between groups A and B,while iodine intake in groups A and B were significantly reduced as compared with that in groups C and D(P<0.05).It was concluded that for patients with low BMI and controlled HR,compared to 100 kVp tube voltage combined with multiple concentration contrast agents,80 kVp combined with 270 mgl/mL contrast agent is enough to ensure the quality of the images,and can reduce the radiation dose significantly,while reducing the amount of iodine intake notably,thus reducing the incidence of adverse reaction. 展开更多

The features and treatment of 98 Chinese patients with immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related disease (IgG4-RD) referred to a single tertiary referring centre were reviewed. Patientsdiagnosed with IgG4-RD according to the comprehensive diagnostic criteria (CDC) were includedin the retrospective study from May 2012 to March 2019. We collcted data on clinical, laboratory,imaging, histological features and treatment. Totally, 98 patients with IgG4-RD were enrolled.The common clinical manifestations included abdominal pain, salivary gland swelling andlymphadenopathy. 51% of the patients had multiple organs involvement. Lymph nodes, pancreasand salivary glands were most commonly involved. Four rare sites including ulna, cerebellum,scalp, and mammary gland were found. The serum IgG4 level was increased by 85.7%. The serumIgG4 level was positively correlated with the number of involved organs, IgG and IgG4/IgG. LowC3 and C4 levels were observed in 37.5% and 12.2% patients respectively, and all patients withkidney involvement had hypocomplementemia. A total of 54 patients underwent tissue biopsies,and 55.6%, 31.5% and 11.1% cases were diagnosed as definite, probable and possible IgG4-RD,respectively. Eighty-eight patients received glucocorticoids (GCs) therapy. Five patients underwentradical surgery to remove the lesion. 73% of them presented a complete or partial remission. IgG4-RD is a systemic fibroinflammatory disease with involvement of multiple organs throughout thebody including some rare sites. Most IgG4-RD patients had increased serum IgG4 levels andpatients with kidney involvement showed bypocomplementermia. GCs therapy is effective. Moreresearch is needed to provide a more reliable basis for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Autosomal dominant tubulointerstitial kidney disease(ADTKD)is a progressive chronic disease that is inherited in an autosomal dominant fashion.Symptoms include hyperuricemia,gout,interstitial nephritis,renal cysts,and progressive renal damage that can lead to end-stage renal disease.Mutations in the uromodulin gene(UMOD)characterize the ADTKD-UMOD clinical subtype of this disease.To date,>100 UMOD mutations have been identified.Early diagnosis of ADTKD-UMOD is important to treat the disease,slow down disease progression,and facilitate the identification of potentially affected family members.CASE SUMMARY We report a 40-year-old man harboring a novel heterozygous missense mutation in UMOD(c.554G>T;p.Arg185Leu).The patient had hyperuricemia,gout,and chronic kidney disease.The same mutation was detected in his daughter,aunt and cousin.CONCLUSION A single nucleotide substitution in exon 3 of UMOD was responsible for the heterozygous missense mutation(c.554G>T,p.Arg185Leu). 展开更多

Objective:To explore the common mechanism of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction in treating coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes by network pharmacology.Methods:All chemical components and targets of the four drugs in Huanglian Jiedu Decoction were retrieved through TCMSP,and the genes were standardized through Uniprot database.Acquire disease targets related to coronary heart disease and diabetes in OMIM and GeneCards databases.The network diagram of"drug-component-target-disease"is constructed by using the software of cytopscape 3.7.2,the PPI network diagram of protein interaction is constructed by using STRING database,and the network diagram of"drug-disease"core target is constructed by using the software of cytopscape 3.7.2.DAVID's online database platform was used to analyze GO biological process and KEGG pathway enrichment of common targets of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction in treating coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes.Results:103 active ingredients of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction were retrieved,including 140 acting targets,5342 coronary heart disease targets,114 diabetes targets,and 14 common intersection targets of drugs and diseases,involving AR,PPARG,TNF,IL6,CCL2,VEGFA,PON1,etc.The GO biological process analysis results in 98 biological processes,10 cell components and 10 molecular functions.Among them are positive regulation of gene expression,positive regulation of nitric oxide biosynthesis process,Extracellular space,cytokine activity,steroid hormone receptor activity and other biological processes;The enrichment analysis of KEGG pathway yielded 20 signal pathways(P≤0.05).It mainly involves Malaria,cancer in cancer,HIF-1 signaling pathway,TNF signaling pathway,NOD-like receptor signaling pathway,PI3K-Akt signaling pathway,etc.Conclusion:Huanglian Jiedu Decoction"treats different diseases at the same time"coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes have the characteristics of multiple components,multiple targets and multiple pathways,which provide theoretical basis for Huanglian Jiedu Decoction to treat coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes in clinic,but the key targets and pathways of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction to treat diseases still need further experimental verification. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Anti-glomerular basement membrane(GBM)disease is a rare autoimmune disease manifesting as acute progressive nephritis syndrome with or without varying degrees of pulmonary hemorrhage.Anti-GBM disease coexisting with Immunoglobulin A(IgA)nephropathy is rarer and has different clinical manifestations and prognoses than simple anti-GBM disease.We describe a case of coexistence of these two diseases.CASE SUMMARY A 49-year-old man with hematuria and proteinuria accompanied by a slight elevation of serum creatinine was admitted to our hospital.The pathological results of renal biopsy and the elevated serum anti-GBM antibody titer supported a diagnosis of anti-GBM disease combined with IgA nephropathy.After treatment with corticosteroids and cyclophosphamide,the patient's serum creatinine was relatively stable,and the hematuria and proteinuria moderately improved in the subsequent six months.CONCLUSION Anti-GBM disease coexisting with IgA nephropathy is rare.The clinical manifestations and prognosis are better than those of simple anti-GBM disease.In this case,the patient's condition was improved and his renal function remained relatively stable with corticosteroid and cyclophosphamide treatment.New detection methods to identify whether the crescents in this case were derived from anti-GBM disease or IgA nephropathy are worthy of further exploration. 展开更多

Significance of detection of serum HIF-1 α and β-catenin in rat model of vascular calcification in chronic kidney disease

Objective:To investigate the association between serum HIF-1α,β-catenin levels and the vascular calcification in the rat model of chronic kidney disease(CKD)vascular calcification.Methods:30 SD male rats were randomly divided into normal control group(CON group,n=10)and CKD vascular calcification group(CKD group,n=20).Rats in calcification group were fed with adenine combined with high phosphorus diet.At the end of the 6th week,the blood and urine of the two groups were collected to detect renal function,calcium,phosphorus and 24-hour urinary protein,the renal tissue was stained with HE,the aorta of rats was stained with Von Kossa and calcium content was determined,and the levels of HIF-1α and β-catenin in serum were detected by ElISA method.Results:compared with CON group,24-hour urinary protein,blood BUN,Scr,P,Ca×P,aortic calcium content,serum HIF-1α and β-catenin levels were significantly increased and serum calcium decreased in CKD group(P<0.05);Glomerular atrophy,renal tubule dilatation and interstitial fibrosis were seen in CKD group,Von Kossa staining of calcified nodules in aorta showed more black substance deposition.The levels of serum HIF-1α,β-catenin and serum P,Ca×P were positively correlated with the content of calcium in rat aorta.Conclusion:the levels of serum HIF-1α and β-catenin are significantly increased in patients with vascular calcification in CKD,and they are significantly related to the degree of aortic calcification. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the potential mechanism of drug pair "Honeysuckle-Astragalus" on 2019-nCoV using network pharmacology.Methods:The active compounds of Honeysuckle-Astragalus were searched by TCMSP database platform and BATMAN-TCM platform, and the targets related to the active compounds were searched and screened out through the database. The targets related to 2019-nCoV were screened out through OMIM and GeneCards databases. The network diagram of "drug-component-disease-target" was constructed by using the Cytoscape software, and the PPI network diagram of target protein interaction was constructed by using the STRING database. DAVID database was used for gene ontology(GO) analysis and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG)pathway enrichment analysis.Results:23 active components of Honeysuckle, 20 active components of Astragalus and 10 targets of intersection of active components and 2019-nCoV were screened, mainly including NOS3, DPP4, TN, FIL6, etc. Using DAVID database analysis and taking P<0.05 as the screening criteria, 85 biological processes were obtained, of which the first 20 were related to processes such as response to antibiotic, lipopolysaccharide-mediated signaling pathway, negative regulation of cell proliferation, etc. Twenty-six signal pathways were screened, among which the first 20 were related to Malaria, Herpes simplex infection, TNF signaling pathway, etc. Conclusion: Honeysuckle-Astragalus may have the characteristic of multiple components, multiple targets and multiple pathways in the treatment of 2019-nCoV,and its mechanism of action may be to treat 2019-nCoV through antiviral infection and repair of lung injury, which provides a theoretical basis for the treatment of 2019-nCoV with honeysuckle-Astragalus in clinic. 展开更多

Lignocellulosic biomass offers the most abundant renewable resource in replacing traditional fossil resources. However, it is still a major challenge to directly convert the lignin component into value-added materials. The availability of plentiful hydroxyl groups in lignin macromolecules and its unique three-dimensional structure make it an ideal precursor for mesoporous biosorbents. In this work, we reported an environmentally friendly and economically feasible method for the fabrication of mesoporous lignin-based biosorbent(MLBB) from lignocellulosic biomass through a SO_3micro-thermal-explosion process, as a byproduct of microcrystalline cellulose. BET analysis reveal the average pore-size distribution of 5.50 nm, the average pore value of 0.35 cm^3/g, and the specific surface area of 186 m^2/g. The physicochemical properties of MLBB were studied by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), attenuated-total-reflection fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), and element analysis. These results showed that there are large amounts of sulfonic functional groups existing on the surface of this biosorbent. Pb(II) was used as a model heavy-metal-ion to demonstrate the technical feasibility for heavy-metal-ion removal. Considering that lignocellulosic biomass is a naturally abundant and renewable resource and SO_3micro-thermal-explosion is a proven technique, this biosorbent can be easily produced at large scale and become a sustainable and reliable resource for wastewater treatment. 展开更多

Hyper-crosslinked polymers(HCPs) are promising materials for gas capture and storage because of their low cost and easy preparation. In this work, we report the massive preparation of coumarone-indene resin-based hyper-crosslinked polymers via one-step Friedel-Crafts alkylation. Low-cost coumarone-indene resin serves as the new building block and chloroform is employed as both solvent and external crosslinker. A maximum surface area of 966 m^2·g^(-1) is achieved, which is comparable with that of previously-reported coal tar-based porous organic polymers. Most importantly, a large number of heteroatoms including inherent oxygen atoms and introduced chlorine atoms in obtianed HCPs further enhance the interaction between specific sorbate molecule and adsorbent. Therefore, optimal structural and chemical property endow the new coumarone-indene resin-based HCPs with decent gas storage capacity(14.60 wt% at273 K and 0.1 MPa for CO_2; 1.18 wt% at 77.3 K and 0.1 MPa for H_2). These results demonstrate that new HCPs are potential candidates for applications in CO_2 and H_2 capture. 展开更多

The self-reduction experiment of manganese-rich slag briquette containing carbon was carried out in a hightemperature carbon tube furnace.The main factors affecting the reduction rate were analyzed,and the kinetic model of reduction was established.The results show that the increase of basicity of briquette has an obvious effect on improving reduction rate.When the carbon ratio of briquettes is 1.2and its basicity is 1.0,the reduction rate can reach90%.It can accelerate reduction process and decrease reduction time when the appropriate flux CaF2 is added to the briquette.The apparent activation energy of chemical reaction is 24.07kJ/mol,and the apparent activation energy of internal diffusion is 107.55kJ/mol by calculation.Therefore,the reduction rate of briquette is determined by the mass transfer of CO in the product layer. 展开更多

A porphyrin modified by glycine has been synthesized and developed as a near-infrared(NIR)fluorescence probe to detect tumor.Porphyrins' longwavelength emission at ~650 nm can efficiently avoid the spectral crosstalk with Spontaneous fluorescence in the visible light region.A disulfide-based cyclic RGD peptide named iRGD c(CRGDKGPDC),a tumor homing peptide,harbors a cryptic C-end Rule(CendR) motif that is responsible for neuropilin-1(NRP-1) binding and for triggering extravasation and tumor penetration of the peptide to improve the imaging sensitivity and therapeutic efficacy.We used N hydroxy succinimide as an activator to introduce the glycine methyl ester to detect tumor.We got a porphyrin modified by glycine.The affinity between probe and tumor cell entered GLC-82 cells(human glandular lung cancer cell line) can be observed by Confocal Microscope.The toxicity of probe has been identified by MTT Assay.The summary has been gotten that the porphyrins were nontoxic to GLC-82 cells and glycine modified porphyrin has a good affinity with GLC-82 cells under the iRGD function by our experiment. 展开更多
