The extraction of effective components and an antioxidant activity study of Tulipa edulis

Plant extracts from natural sources are an excellent choice for food additives and natural antioxidants.In this study,the active components of Tulipa edulis were extracted and analysed,and their antioxidant capacity was measured.Then,the crude extract mixture was separated and purified using a Sephadex LH-20 gel,and the antioxidant activity of the purified products was determined.Human umbilical vein endothelial human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC)cells were treated with 35 mmol/L glucose to construct a model of oxidative stress.Then,the cells were treated with the active component to observe whether the products of T.edulis could have a good protective effect on HUVEC cells induced by glucose.Transcriptome analysis was also performed on HUVEC cells after same treatment to explore the possible mechanism of the component F2 protecting HUVEC cells from oxidative stress induced by high glucose.The results showed that component F2 obtained from T.edulis has strong antioxidant activity.Moreover,F2 can play a strong antioxidant protective role in HUVEC cells.Meanwhile,the gene expression of heme oxygenase 1(HO-1),γ-glutamyl cysteine ligase catalytic subunit(GCLC)and NAD(P)H quinone oxidoreductase-1(NQO1)in HUVEC cells was up-regulated after treated with F2.This study provides reference value for the further development and application of T.edulis and the d evelopment of functional food. 展开更多

To reveal some dynamic properties of the deploying process for the solar power satellite via an arbitrarily large phased array (SPS-ALPHA) solar receiver, the symplectic Runge-Kutta method is used to simulate the simplified model with the consideration of the Rayleigh damping effect. The system containing the Rayleigh damping can be separated and transformed into the equivalent nondamping system formally to insure the application condition of the symplectic Runge-Kutta method. First, the Lagrange equation with the Rayleigh damping governing the motion of the system is derived via the variational principle. Then, with some reasonable assumptions on the relations among the damping, mass, and stiffness matrices, the Rayleigh damping system is equivalently converted into the nondamping system formally, so that the symplectic Runge-Kutta method can be used to simulate the deploying process for the solar receiver. Finally, some numerical results of the symplectic Runge-Kutta method for the dynamic properties of the solar receiver are reported. The numerical results show that the proposed simplified model is valid for the deploying process for the SPS-ALPHA solar receiver, and the symplectic Runge-Kutta method can preserve the displacement constraints of the system well with excellent long-time numerical stability. 展开更多

Plasmonic nanostructures can greatly enhance the quantum yield of noble metals through the localized surface plasmon. In this work,we briefly review recent progress on the phenomenon, mechanism, and application of one-photon PL from plasmonic nanostructures. Particularly, our recent efforts in the study of the PL peak position, partial depolarization, and mode selection from plasmonic nanostructures can bring about a relatively complete and deep understanding of the physical mechanism of one-photon PL from plasmonic nanostructures, paving the way for future applications in plasmonic imaging,plasmonic nanolasing, and surface enhanced fluorescence spectra. 展开更多

以微通道换热器作为柜式空调蒸发器,设计并加工了微通道蒸发器(MCE,扁管和翅片均为铝材),搭建实验测试系统。研究了三种入口形式(Z-Inlet,Y-Inlet,U-Inlet)、五种制冷剂充注量(800~1600 g)下微通道蒸发器的表面温度分布、制冷量(Q)、输... 以微通道换热器作为柜式空调蒸发器,设计并加工了微通道蒸发器(MCE,扁管和翅片均为铝材),搭建实验测试系统。研究了三种入口形式(Z-Inlet,Y-Inlet,U-Inlet)、五种制冷剂充注量(800~1600 g)下微通道蒸发器的表面温度分布、制冷量(Q)、输入功率(P_(in))和能效比(EER),并与管翅式换热器(FTE,铜管-铝翅片)进行对比分析。结果表明,Z-Inlet形式MCE内部制冷剂行程基本相同,流量分配较均匀,其表面温度分布比较均匀,换热效果最佳;Z-Inlet形式MCE的制冷量和EER最高,与另外两种形式相比,制冷量和EER最高分别提高了8.8%和5.7%;MCE的制冷量和EER比FTE大,制冷量平均超出了11%,最高达13.3%(约600 W),EER平均提升了9.36%,最大约为12.4%;此外MCE的EER达到峰值对应的制冷剂充注量与FTE相比减少了200 g。 展开更多

Background:Tuberculosis(TB)is a major global health threat and the leading infectious disease cause of death worldwide.Access to and retention in TB care remains a challenge for patients,particularly those living in rural and remote settings.This qualitative study explored barriers and facilitators to accessing and maintaining contact with TB care services in communities in Xigaze(Shigatse)prefecture,Xizang Autonomous Region(Tibet Autonomous Region),China from the perspective of persons impacted by TB.Methods:We conduced in-depth interviews with 23 participants impacted by TB in four rural districts in Xigaze prefecture,Xizang Autonomous Region,China between April 2019 and November 2020.Interviews were conducted in Tibetan and Mandarin,transcribed in Mandarin and translated into English.Transcripts were checked against recordings by native Tibetan and Mandarin speakers.QSR NVivo12 software was used for framework analysis guided by an access to care conceptual framework by Levesque et al.Results:Overall patients reported low awareness of and an indiferent attitude towards TB,although all reported understanding the need to adhere to treatment.Participants reported complex pathways to care,often requiring visits to multiple healthcare facilities.Some participants reported visiting traditional Tibetan medicine(TTM)providers.Participants reported various barriers to accessing care including challenges physically reaching care,out-of-pocket payments for tests,diagnostics and transport.Barriers to maintaining care included medication side efects and worry about treatment efectiveness.Enablers to accessing care identifed included knowledge or past experience with TB,integrated models of TTM and western care,supportive village doctors who conducted home visits,free TB treatment and other subsidies,as well as having family support with care and social support as barriers and facilitators to maintaining treatment.Conclusions:We identifed barriers and facilitators to accessing services in rural communities in Xigaze from the perspective of persons impacted by TB.Challenges include complex pathways to care,travel distances,wait times and low awareness.Tuberculosis care in the region could be strengthened by ongoing culturally tailored educational campaigns to increase awareness,partnerships with TTM providers,providing comprehensive treatment subsidies and strengthening the role of family members in comprehensive TB care. 展开更多

Considerable attention has been paid recently to coherent control of plasmon resonances in metadevices for potential applications in all-optical light-with-light signal modulation and image processing.Previous reports based on out-ofplane coherent control of plasmon resonances were established by modulating the position of a metadevice in standing waves.Here we show that destructive and constructive absorption can be realized in metallic nano-antennas through in-plane coherent control of plasmon resonances,which is determined by the distribution rule of electricalfield components of nano-antennas.We provide proof-of-principle demonstrations of plasmonic switching effects in a gold nanodisk monomer and dimer,and propose a plasmonic encoding strategy in a gold nanodisk chain.In-plane coherent control of plasmon resonances may open a new avenue toward promising applications in optical spectral enhancement,imaging,nanolasing,and optical communication in nanocircuits. 展开更多
