An environmentally friendly and resource-conserving route to the clean production of electrolytic manganese was developed,in which the electrolytic manganese residue(EMR)was initially calcined for cement buffering;then the generated SO2-containing flue gas was managed using manganese oxide ore and anolyte(MOOA)desulfurization;at last,the desulfurized slurry was introduced to the electrolytic manganese production(EMP).Results showed that 4.0 wt%coke addition reduced the sulfur of calcined EMR to 0.9%,thereby satisfying the cement-buffer requirement.Pilot-scale desulfurization showed that about 7.5 vol%of high SO2 containing flue gas can be cleaned to less than 0.1 vol%through a five-stage countercurrent MOOA desulfurization.The desulfurized slurry had 42.44 g·L-Mn2+and 1.92 g·L-1 S2 O62-,which was suitable for electrowinning after purification,and the purity of manganese product was 99.93%,satisfy the National Standard of China YB/T051-2015.This new integrated technology fulfilled 99.7%of sulfur reutilization from the EMR and 94.1%was effectively used to the EMP.The MOOA desulfurization linked the EMP a closed cycle without any pollutant discharge,which promoted the cleaner production of EMP industry. 展开更多

Manganese leaching during high concentration flue gas desulfurization process with semi-oxidized manganese ore was studied in this paper.It was found that there were different reaction pathways among which MnO2,Mn2O3 and MnCO3 in semi-oxidized manganese ore during flue gas desulphurization and manganese leaching.High SO2 concentration facilitated redox reaction between MnO2 and SO2,and high concentration of H2SO4 accelerated MnCO3/Mn2O3 leaching from semi-oxidized ore.Kinetics study showed that manganese leaching in flue gas desulfurization process with semi-oxidized ore was controlled by a mixed-control model,that is the surface chemical reaction and mass diffusion dominated both the oxidation of SO2 and manganese leaching process.The apparent activation energy was 13.05 k J·mol-1 and the reaction orders with respect to SO2 and H2SO4 concentration were 1.38 and 0.10,respectively.Finally,a semi-empirical rate equation based on shrinking core model was derived to describe the process. 展开更多

To study the emission characteristics of typical construction machinery in Chengdu,12 construction machinery (excavators,bulldozers,loaders,and forklifts) under idling mode,moving mode,and working mode,were tested using a portable emission measurement system(PEMS).Under three operating modes,the typical construction machinery in the working mode was higher in the fuel-based average emission factors of PM_(2.5)and NOx,while the fuel-based average emission factors of HC and CO were higher in idling mode.Integrated the results of investigation on ownership and activity levels of construction machinery,an exhaust emission inventory of typical construction machinery of Chengdu in 2018 was established according to the recommendation method.The annual emission of PM_(2.5),NOx,HC,and CO were 1.67×106,1.61×108,3.83×106,and 1.26×107kg,respectively,and the excavator contributed the maximum emissions,accounting for an average proportion of 43.95%.The emission of construction machinery in Chengdu exhibited a clear monthly trend,with the highest from April to October and the lowest from November to March.In addition,the exhaust emissions presented an obvious spot-like characteristics,and the high-value areas were mainly concentrated in the surrounding suburban counties such as Shuangliu Wenjiang etc.To reduce pollution from construction machinery and improve the quality of the atmospheric environment,more effective measures on housing construction and municipal construction should be taken in those districts in Chengdu. 展开更多

Mixed matrix membranes(MMMs)could combine the advantages of both polymeric membranes and porousfillers,making them an effective alternative to conventional polymer membranes.However,interfacial incompatibility issues,such as the presence of interfacial voids,hardening of polymer chains,and blockage of micropores by polymers between common MMMsfillers and the polymer matrix,currently limit the gas sep-aration performance of MMMs.Ternary phase MMMs(consisting of afiller,an additive,and a matrix)made by adding a third compound,usually functionalized additives,can overcome the structural problems of binary phase MMMs and positively impact membrane separation performance.This review introduces the structure and fabrication processes for ternary MMMs,categorizes various nanofillers and the third component,and summarizes and analyzes in detail the CO_(2) separation performance of newly developed ternary MMMs based on both rubbery and glassy polymers.Based on this separation data,the challenges of ternary MMMs are also discussed.Finally,future directions for ternary MMMs are proposed. 展开更多

Effects of relative humidity and PM2.5 chemical compositions on visibility impairment in Chengdu, China 被引量:21

To better understand the potential causes of visibility impairment in autumn and winter in Chengdu,relative humidity(RH),visibility,the concentrations of PM2.5 and its chemical components were on-line measured continuously in Chengdu from Nov.2016 to Jan.2017.Six obvious haze episodes occurred in Chengdu,with the total time of haze episodes accounted for more than 90%of the total observation period,and higher NO2 concentrations and RH were related to the high particle concentrations in haze episodes.The visibility decreased in a non-linear tendency under different RH conditions with the increase of PM2.5 concentrations,which was more sensitive to RH under lower PM2.5 concentrations.The threshold concentration of PM2.5 got more smaller with the increase of RH.During the entire observation period,organic matter(OM)was the largest contributor(31.12%to extinction coefficient(bext)),followed by NH4NO3 and(NH4)2SO4 with 28.03%and 23.01%,respectively.However,with the visibility impairment from Type I(visibility>10 km)to Type IV(visibility≤2 km),the contribution of OM to bextdecreased from 38.12%to 26.77%,while the contribution of NH4NO3 and(NH4)2SO4 to bextincreased from 19.09%and 20.20%to 34.29%and 24.35%,respectively,and NH4NO3 became the largest contributor to bextat Type IV.The results showed that OM and NH4NO3 were the key components of PM2.5 for visibility impairment in Chengdu,indicating that the control of precursors emissions of carbonaceous species and NH4NO3 could effectively improve the visibility in Chengdu. 展开更多

The selective catalytic reduction(SCR)of NO_(x) by NH3 is one of the most mature technologies for NO_(x) treatment.Catalysts are the main factors affecting denitrification efficiency.Zeolites as low-tempe rature NH3-SCR catalysts have been extensively studied in the past few years.In this work,the mechanism of zeolites for NH3-SCR reaction was reviewed and the denitrification performances of zeolite catalysts prepared by different methods were compared.The effects of sulfur and water poisoning on zeolite catalysts in NH3-SCR reaction were also analyzed.Several ways to address the problems in lowtemperature NH3-SCR reaction were discussed.Hopefully,this review could provide a fundamental understanding of SCR reaction on zeolite catalysts and pave the way toward similar studies to realize its commercial applications. 展开更多

The acidic gases such as SO2,NOx,H2 S and CO2 are typical harmful pollutants and greenhouse gases in the atmosphere,which are also the main sources of PM2.5.The most widely used method of treating these gas molecules is to capture them with different adsorption materials,i.e.,metal and nonmetallic materials such as MnO2,MoS2 and carbon-based materials.And doping transition metal atoms in adsorption materials are beneficial to the gas adsorption process.The first-principles calculation is a powerful tool for studying the adsorption properties of contaminant molecules on different materials at the molecular and atomic levels to understand surface adsorption reactions,adsorption reactivity,and structureactivity relationships which can provide theoretical guidance for laboratory researches and industrial applications.This review introduces the adsorption models and surface properties of these gas molecules on metal and nonmetallic surfaces by first-principles calculation in recent years.The purpose of this review is to provide the theoretical guidance for experimental research and industrial application,and to inspire scientists to benefit from first-principles calculation for applying similar methods in future work. 展开更多
