Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is a malignant tumor triggered by the accumulation of multiple gene mutations in oral epithelial cells.Different OSCC-related biomarkers have been reported in circulation in the perip...Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is a malignant tumor triggered by the accumulation of multiple gene mutations in oral epithelial cells.Different OSCC-related biomarkers have been reported in circulation in the peripheral blood that support the occurrence and development of OSCC.Recent advances in high-throughput and highly sensitive detection methods have overcome the limitation of the low concentration of most peripheral blood biomarkers.Hence,blood biomarker detection has become an efficient screening tool for the early diagnosis of OSCC.The growing data available in public cancer and gene databases have provided new foundations for OSCC research.In particular,the identification of OSCC biomarkers using bioinformatic tools has shed new light on the underlying mechanisms as well as on the genetic landscape of OSCC.More recently,mRNA targeting therapies have emerged as valuable anticancer treatment strategies,as they allow for the regulation of the expression of certain functional proteins to reverse genetic abnormalities or induce tissue repair.Thus,mRNA-targeting therapies can be used to regulate the expression of antigens,antibodies,or cellular receptors by immune cells.Particularly,anti-cancer cellular immunotherapy carrying specific mRNAs has attracted significant attention in OSCC treatment.Here,we review the present knowledge on the role of peripheral blood mRNAs in the diagnosis,treatment,development,and prognosis of OSCC.Moreover,we address future research prospects of mRNAs in the peripheral blood in OSCC and the opportunities and challenges that may arise in future clinical therapeutic applications.展开更多
BACKGROUND Neurofibromatosis type 1(NF1)is an inherited autosomal dominant disorder affecting many parts of the body with caféau lait spots,skeletal deformity,and scoliosis.A familial case of NF1 with scoliosis a...BACKGROUND Neurofibromatosis type 1(NF1)is an inherited autosomal dominant disorder affecting many parts of the body with caféau lait spots,skeletal deformity,and scoliosis.A familial case of NF1 with scoliosis and a painless mass had not yet been reported.CASE SUMMARY We describe the case of a 15-year-old male patient with a painless lump on the left side of his neck for 10 years and scoliosis.His right shoulder was about 5 cm lower than the left,the left side of his face was deformed,and the left submandibular skin was relaxed.The folding and drooping were obvious and movement was poor.Computed tomography revealed the involvement of the neck,upper chest wall,and surrounding left shoulder,accompanied by bone changes and scoliosis.Histological evaluation showed subepidermal pale blue mucoid degeneration,fibrous fusiform cells in the dermis in a fascicular,woven arrangement.His mother had the same medical history.The diagnosis was neurofibromatosis of the left neck.Various parts of the tumor tissue were serially resected during several visits.Eight months after surgery,there was a slight tendency to regrow.CONCLUSION This case of slow-progressing NF1 highlights the importance of early diagnosis and treatment to reduce its impact on the patient’s growth and development.展开更多

Deepening the integration of industry and education is an effective way to cultivate high-quality applied talents.However,integration of industry and education is still at a relatively low level,and the mode is relati...Deepening the integration of industry and education is an effective way to cultivate high-quality applied talents.However,integration of industry and education is still at a relatively low level,and the mode is relatively single,without realizing the deep integration of collaborative education and industry.This paper takes the course"Performance Management"of Human Resource Management as an example to build an industry-education integration system with curriculum construction as a carrier.We introduce enterprise tutors and enterprise scenarios from the aspects of teaching syllabus,teaching content,teaching design,teaching process,teaching resources,and teaching evaluation to study the construction of professional courses under the background of industry-education integration.Through the Performance Management course study,we summarize the methods and modes of industry-education integration in human resource management(HRM)courses and extend and apply the research results to other courses of HRM majors to complete the construction of courses aiming at industry-education integration in HRM majors.展开更多
