In order to investigate the effects of main components o...As a kind of high-efficiency explosive with compound destructive capability, the energy output law of thermobaric explosives has been receiving great attention. In order to investigate the effects of main components on the explosive characteristics of thermobaric explosives, various high explosives and oxidants were selected to formulate five different types of thermobaric explosive. Then they were tested in both open space and closed space respectively. Pressure measurement system, high-speed camera,infrared thermal imager and multispectral temperature measurement system were used for pressure,temperature and fireball recording. The effects of different components on the explosive characteristics of thermobaric explosive were analyzed. The results showed that in open space, the overpressure is dominated by the high explosives content in the formulation. The addition of the oxidants will decrease the explosion overpressure but will increase the duration and overall brightness of the fireball. While in closed space, the quasi-static pressure formed after the explosion is positively correlated with the temperature and gas production. In addition, it was found that the differences in shell constraints can also alter the afterburning reaction of thermobaric explosives, thus affecting their energy output characteristics. PVC shell constraint obviously increases the overpressure and makes the fireball burn more violently.展开更多

Phototheranostics is an emerging field in synergistic antitumor therapy in which irradiation and sensitizers are combined to produce reactive oxygen species(ROS),bio-images,and high temperatures.All of these are arriv...Phototheranostics is an emerging field in synergistic antitumor therapy in which irradiation and sensitizers are combined to produce reactive oxygen species(ROS),bio-images,and high temperatures.All of these are arrived from the energy of sensitizers,which located in excited single state(S_(1)).Undeniably,the decentralization of the S_(1)population indirectly decreases the effect of each individual treatment.In this study,a strategy was proposed for enhancing the S_(1)population,and a sensitizer with mitochondrial targeting property,1,4-indolyl iodinated pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyrrole derivative(2I-TPIS),was assembled into adenosine triphosphate(ATP)-responsive nanoparticles(DPA-2I NPs)to achieve dual responses to irradiation and ultrasonication(US)for application to photo-sonodynamic therapy(PSDT).Compared with monotherapies,2I-TPIS generated more ROS in PSDT,inducing mitochondrial autophagy and apoptosis,which in turn triggered immunogenic cell death(ICD).Subsequently,DPA-2I NPs were constructed and self-assembled with the chemotherapeutic agents DPA-Cd and 2I-TPIS to achieve a triple synergistic strategy involving chemotherapy(CT)and PSDT.DPA-2I NPs exhibited absolute sensitization,intra-tumoral overexpression of ATP,and disassembly.Importantly,the biosafety and potent antitumor efficiency of the DPA-2I NP-based“PSDT+CT”therapy were revealed using a 4T1 tumor model.The study results provide insights into the design of sensitizers possessing a sufficient S_(1)population and a highly efficient tumor ablation capacity derived from molecular structural modulation,further enabling triple synergistic antitumor therapies,and expanding the clinical application of sensitizers.展开更多
Cough is a vital defensive reflex for expelling harmful substances from the airway.The sensory afferents for the cough reflex have been intensively studied.However,the brain mechanisms underlying the cough reflex rema...Cough is a vital defensive reflex for expelling harmful substances from the airway.The sensory afferents for the cough reflex have been intensively studied.However,the brain mechanisms underlying the cough reflex remain poorly understood.Here,we developed a paradigm to quantitatively measure cough-like reflexes in mice.Using this paradigm,we found that prodynorphin-expressing(Pdyn+)neurons in the nucleus of the solitary tract(NTS)are critical for capsaicin-induced cough-like reflexes.These neurons receive cough-related neural signals from Trpv1+vagal sensory neurons.The activation of Pdyn+NTS neurons triggered respiratory responses resembling cough-like reflexes.Among the divergent projections of Pdyn+NTS neurons,a glutamatergic pathway projecting to the caudal ventral respiratory group(cVRG),the canonical cough center,was necessary and sufficient for capsaicin-induced cough-like reflexes.These results reveal that Pdyn+NTS neurons,as a key neuronal population at the entry point of the vagus nerve to the brainstem,initiate cough-like reflexes in mice.展开更多

The results showed that the toxicity sequence of HHCB toxic to wheat seed germination and seedling growth was similar to that of AHTN, that is, germination rate 〉 shoot elongation 〉 root elongation, while the toxicity of Cd was in the sequence of root elongation 〉 shoot elongation 〉 germination rate, according to the LC50 and EC50 values. It is suggested that polycyclic musks and Cd had different toxicological mechanisms. Root and shoot elongation of wheat might be good bioindicators for the contamination of polycyclic musks and Cd in soil. The mixture of polycyclic musks and Cd had synergistic effects on T. aestivum according to the equi-toxic mixture approach when root elongation was selected as the toxicological endpoint. Thus, the joint toxicity of HHCB and Cd was significantly higher than the single toxicity of HHCB or Cd, which was also confirmed by the EC50mix value of the mixture (EC50mix = 0.530 TUrnix). The EC50mix value of the mixture of AHTN and Cd was 0.614 TUmix, which indicated that the mixture toxicity was strengthened when AHTN coexisted with Cd.展开更多
