基于望诊的耳部形貌特征与中医体质相关性的探索性分析

目的:通过分析耳部形貌特征及中医九种体质之间的相关性,探索耳部形貌特征在体质辨识中的价值。方法:本研究采用横断面调查的方法。受试者的耳部形貌特征通过《耳部形貌望诊信息表》进行判定,体质通过《中医体质量表》进行辨识。采用单... 目的:通过分析耳部形貌特征及中医九种体质之间的相关性,探索耳部形貌特征在体质辨识中的价值。方法:本研究采用横断面调查的方法。受试者的耳部形貌特征通过《耳部形貌望诊信息表》进行判定,体质通过《中医体质量表》进行辨识。采用单因素Logistic回归及多因素Logistic回归的进行统计分析。结果:共招募到符合纳入和排除标准的受试者888名,其中平和质的有270名(30.41%),其余618名(69.59%)受试者为不同的偏颇体质。结果显示,对平和质而言,厚耳郭(P<0.05)及适中大小的耳垂(P=0.01)为保护性因素,圆形耳垂(P<0.05)为危险性因素。对气虚质而言,耳郭紧贴(P<0.05)是保护性因素,无耳垂褶皱(P<0.05)及圆形耳垂(P<0.05)为危险性因素。对痰湿质而言,耳轮结构清晰(P<0.05)且半耳可见(P=0.024),无耳垂褶皱(P<0.05)是保护性因素,耳郭紧贴(P<0.05)及右耳尖三角形(P=0.029)为危险性因素。对气郁质而言,无耳垂褶皱(P<0.05)及耳屏高低适中(P<0.05)为危险性因素,三角形耳尖(P<0.05),左耳紧贴(P=0.002),耳郭位置高低适中(P<0.05)是保护性因素。结论:耳部形貌特征与中医体质之间可能存在潜在相关性。耳部形貌特征在体质辨识中可能具有参考价值。 展开更多

This is a story about a Chinese herbalist Ing“Doc”Hay who combated the 1918–1919 influenza pandemic in the America West.As an immigrant,he came to the States as a laborer,but he had knowledge of Chinese herbal medicine due to his family heritage.This made it possible for him to start practicing in the Chinese community in John Day,Oregon,until 1948 when he retired.During the time of the pandemic running wild in the 1910s,he prescribed formulas aimed at flu and boiled herbal decoction,personally delivering it to a working site for those Chinese laborers as well as non‑Chinese patients.None of the laborer patients treated by him died during this deadly pandemic.Due to his success and fame,his practice was booming even after the Chinese community disappeared in John Day in later years.Doc Hay is always remembered in the history of earlier development in eastern Oregon,so that the site of his practicing,Kam Wah Chung and Co.Building,is now a national historic landmark.And more importantly,he has also been remembered by Chinese herbal medicine practitioners in the United States. 展开更多

Correlations between five-pattern personality scores from traditional Chinese medicine and autonomic nervous response indicators in healthy female college students

Objective:To explore the correlations between five-pattern personality scores and autonomic nervous response indicators in Chinese female college students,to provide a foundation for further exploration of the modern physiological basis of these personality types.Methods:Subjects were asked to fill in 'The Five-Pattern Personality Inventory' (revised edition 2008).Taiyang,Shaoyang,yin-yang balance,Taiyin,and Shaoyin personalities were scored.The galvanic skin response and heart rate,and the low frequency (LF),high frequency (HF),and LF/HF ratio of heart rate variability were collected using a 16-channel physiological recorder (BIOPAC MP150).Relationship between the five-pattern personality scores and autonomic nervous response indicators was analyzed using bivariate correlation.Results:The five-pattern personality scores of the subjects were compared with national averages.The Taiyang and Shaoyang personality scores of the subjects were significantly lower than the overall national average,the national female average,and the national female average in the 18-29-year-old age group (all P <.05).The Taiyang personality score was negatively correlated with both the LF and the HF (P =.009 and P =.001,respectively),and the yin-yang balance personality score was significantly negatively correlated with the galvanic skin response (P =.026).Conclusion:There is a relationship between five-pattern personality scores and autonomic nervous response indicators in Chinese female college students.The higher the Taiyang personality score,the lower the sympathetic and vagus nerve excitability;the higher the yinyang balance personality score,the lower the sympathetic nerve excitability. 展开更多

Internal contamination of actinides has led to significant health hazards to the public and workers in the context of nuclear power plant accidents,uranium ore mining,and reprocessing of the used fuel.An effective sequestering agent that is able to remove accidentally incorporated actinides in vivo with low toxicity is always in urgent need.The molecular decorporation ligands have been the most widely researched agents for the past few decades,while preliminary studies of functionalized nanoparticles have shown their clear advantages in metal binding selectivity,toxicity,and oxidative stress alleviation.Herein,the state-of-the-art of those two types of decorporation agents is presented with special attention being paid on the correlation between the solution and solid-state chemistry of those agents with actinides and the corresponding decorporation efficacies. 展开更多
