3.0T magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging is a commonly used method in the research of brain function in Alzheimer's disease.However,the role of 7.0T high-field magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging in brai... 3.0T magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging is a commonly used method in the research of brain function in Alzheimer's disease.However,the role of 7.0T high-field magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging in brain function of Alzheimer's disease remains unclear.In this study,7.0T magnetic resonance spectroscopy showed that in the hippocampus of Alzheimer's disease rats,the N-acetylaspartate wave crest was reduced,and the creatine and choline wave crest was elevated.This finding was further supported by hematoxylin-eosin staining,which showed a loss of hippocampal neurons and more glial cells.Moreover,electron microscopy showed neuronal shrinkage and mitochondrial rupture,and scanning electron microscopy revealed small size hippocampal synaptic vesicles,incomplete synaptic structure,and reduced number.Overall,the results revealed that 7.0T high-field nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy detected the lesions and functional changes in hippocampal neurons of Alzheimer's disease rats in vivo,allowing the possibility for assessing the success rate and grading of the amyloid beta(1–40) animal model of Alzheimer's disease. 展开更多

Aegiliops tauschii is classified into two subspecies: Ae. tauschii ssp. tauschii and Ae. tauschii ssp. strangulata. Novel genetic variations exist in Ae. tauschii ssp. tauschii that can be utilized in wheat improvement. We synthesized a hexaploid wheat genotype(SHW-L1) by crossing an Ae. tauschii ssp. tauschii accession(AS60) with a tetraploid wheat genotype(AS2255). A population consisting of 171 F8 recombinant inbred lines was developed from SHW-L1 and Chuanmai 32 to identify QTLs associated with agronomic traits. A new genetic map with high density was constructed and used to detect the QTLs for heading date, kernel width, spike length, spikelet number, and thousand kernel weight. A total of 30 putative QTLs were identified for five investigated traits. Thirteen QTLs were located on D genomes of SHW-L1, six of them showed positive effect on agronomic traits. Chromosome region flanked by wPt-6133–wPt-8134 on 2D carried five environment-independent QTLs. Each QTL accounted for more than 10% phenotypic variance. These QTLs were highly consistent across environments and should be used in wheat breeding. 展开更多

In this paper, a novel model is proposed to investigate the neutron transport in scattering and absorbing medium. This solution to the linear Boltzmann equation is expanded from the idea of lattice Boltzmann method(LBM) with the collision and streaming process. The theoretical derivation of lattice Boltzmann model for transient neutron transport problem is proposed for the first time.The fully implicit backward difference scheme is used to ensure the numerical stability, and relaxation time and equilibrium particle distribution function are obtained. To validate the new lattice Boltzmann model, the LBM formulation is tested for a homogenous media with different sources, and both transient and steady-state LBM results get a good agreement with the benchmark solutions. 展开更多

Chiral extractant plays a key role in chiral extraction,and considerable efforts have been undertaken for the development of new and efficient chiral extractants in recent years.This work demonstrated for the first time that chiral ferrocenyl diphosphine ligand(Mandyphos-Pd)had considerable ability to enantioseparate 3-Chlorophenylglycine enantiomers with separation factor(α)of 2.64.Mandyphos-Pd concentration and pH had significant influences on enantioselectivity,while operating temperature showed less influence.The extraction experiments can be performed at room temperature(20℃)which had the advantage of energy saving.After optimization,the highest performance factor(pf,0.08376)was obtained at the condition of pH 7.8 and Mandyphos-Pd concentration 1.2 mmol·L^(-1).According to the experimental results,the possible recognition mechanism was discussed. 展开更多

In this paper, the nonreciprocal properties of a novel kind of 1D magnetized plasma photonic crystals(MPPCs) with the Fibonacci sequence are investigated. The isolation of the proposed 1D MPPCs is also used to analyze the nonreciprocal properties. Compared to the conventional 1D MPPCs with periodic structure, the nonreciprocal performance can be significantly improved.The effects of several parameters of the proposed 1D MPPCs on the nonreciprocal properties are studied by the transfer matrix method, which includes the incident angle, order of the Fibonacci sequence, plasma frequency, plasma cyclotron frequency and plasma filling factor. The obtained results show that the nonreciprocal propagation properties can be improved by increasing the values of the plasma cyclotron frequency and incident angle, but they will worsen by blindly increasing the order of the Fibonacci sequence, plasma frequency and filling factor of plasma.The peaks of transmittance also are obviously reduced. In addition, the value of isolation will increase with increasing the incident angle, order of Fibonacci sequence, plasma frequency and plasma filling factor. However, when the plasma cyclotron frequency is increased, the value of isolation will be increased at lower frequencies, but is almost unchanged at higher frequencies. 展开更多

Five molecular related indexes: MOL, SIM, d2, H0and PIC of 15 turbot parent pairs were estimated by using 10 SSR loci, which were used in correlation analysis with growth traits, DIL and DIW, of family filial from those 15 parent pairs.DIL and DIW were regressed on the MOL, SIM, d2, H0and PIC. Results showed MOL of five SSR loci(12, 17, 24, 81 and 85) and SIM of five loci(17, 21, 24, 81and 85) all shared significant positive correlation with DIL(r=0.482, P=0.035 and r=0.479, P=0.035, respectively); H0of six SSR loci(11, 17, 21, 24, 26 and 85) had significant positive correlation with DIW(r=0.551, P=0.017); PIC of two SSR loci(9and 26) had significant positive(r=0.519, P=0.024) correlation with DIL, while that and of four loci(17, 24, 27 and 85) had significant negative correlation(r=-0.519,P=0.024), with DIL. This present study suggested that filial growth expression could be predicted by using molecular related indexes in turbot breeding practice, and the accuracy of prediction depends on more SSR loci, especially associated with QTL. 展开更多

In order to get better results from the Canny edge detection algorithm, the image needs to be processed in advance. The histogram equalization method is proposed to enhance the contrast of the image. Since a thermal image contains multiple parallel rail tracks, an algorithm has been developed to locate and separate the tracks that we are interested in. This is accomplished by applying the least squares linear fitting technique to represent the surface of a track. The performance of the application is evaluated by using a number of images provided by a specialised company and the results are essentially favourable. 展开更多

Do alternative stable states exist in large shallow Taihu Lake,China?

Regime shifts from submersed macrophyte dominance to phytoplankton dominance have been widely reported in small-to medium-sized shallow lakes.However,alternative stable states in large shallow lakes(surface area>500 km^(2))remain unconfirmed.To understand the alternative stable states and the main influencing factors of submersed macrophytes in large lakes,the ecosystem states from monitoring data from 1959 to 2019 in large shallow Taihu Lake(2338 km^(2)in average depth of 2.12 m)in China were examined.Changes in submersed macrophyte coverage(C_(Mac))and phytoplankton chlorophyll a(Chl a)in the time series and their relationships with environmental factors were analyzed.During the field investigation from August 2018 to May 2019,nutrients and Chl a showed obvious heterogeneity across the lake,being generally higher in the western and northern areas and lower in the southeast area,while C_(Mac)was only observed in the eastern areas,e.g.,East Taihu Lake,Xukou Bay,and Gonghu Bay.During the long-term monitoring from 1959 to 2019 in the Central Region,Meiliang Bay,and East Taihu Lake,Chl a increased significantly in the time series.C_(Mac)varied slightly among different subareas,always at low levels(<10%)in the Central Region and Meiliang Bay but at relatively high levels in East Taihu Lake(10%–90%).Frequency distributions of response variables had no multimodality except for C_(Mac)in East Taihu Lake,with two peaks between 15%and 20%and between 55%and 60%.A dual relationship was found between Chl a and total phosphorus(TP)in the areas with and without macrophytes,while C_(Mac)showed no relationship with TP,and submersed macrophytes did not flourish in the Central Region and Meiliang Bay even when TP was at very low levels(≈10 mg/m3).Taihu Lake had similar algal turbidity(TurbAlg)as small-to mediumsized lakes but generally presented with higher values of nonalgal turbidity(TurbNonAlg),as did their contribution to total turbidity as a percentage.This study suggested that large shallow Taihu Lake may have no alternative stable states,but more evidence is needed for East Taihu Lake,which was dominated by macrophytes,as it remains unknown whether hysteresis occurs between the processes of eutrophication and oligotrophication.Unfavorable conditions caused by wind might be the main reason due to the absence of submersed macrophytes in Taihu Lake.These results demonstrate that stricter nutrient control is needed to maintain a healthy state or to recover from a decayed state for large lakes. 展开更多

Traffic scene captioning technology automatically generates one or more sentences to describe the content of traffic scenes by analyzing the content of the input traffic scene images,ensuring road safety while providing an important decision-making function for sustainable transportation.In order to provide a comprehensive and reasonable description of complex traffic scenes,a traffic scene semantic captioningmodel withmulti-stage feature enhancement is proposed in this paper.In general,the model follows an encoder-decoder structure.First,multilevel granularity visual features are used for feature enhancement during the encoding process,which enables the model to learn more detailed content in the traffic scene image.Second,the scene knowledge graph is applied to the decoding process,and the semantic features provided by the scene knowledge graph are used to enhance the features learned by the decoder again,so that themodel can learn the attributes of objects in the traffic scene and the relationships between objects to generate more reasonable captions.This paper reports extensive experiments on the challenging MS-COCO dataset,evaluated by five standard automatic evaluation metrics,and the results show that the proposed model has improved significantly in all metrics compared with the state-of-the-art methods,especially achieving a score of 129.0 on the CIDEr-D evaluation metric,which also indicates that the proposed model can effectively provide a more reasonable and comprehensive description of the traffic scene. 展开更多

The numerous health benefits of olive oil are widely known,however,it also provides anti-allergic properties that have not yet been fully defined.In this study,the anti-allergic activity of olive oil was evaluated by analyzing the clinical symptoms and immune-related factors in BALB/c mice that had ingested600 mg/(kg·day)olive oil for two weeks prior to the evaluation.An allergy model was subsequently constructed for analysis,the results of which showed that the olive oil reduced the scores of allergic symptoms in the mice,and up-regulated the hypothermia and the decline in the immune organ index.Moreover,fewer allergy-related cytokines and reduced intestinal inflammation was discovered in the olive oil-treated group.In addition,analysis of intestinal mucosal immune-related factors revealed that the olive oil promoted the expression of intestinal tight junction proteins(Claudin-1,Occludin,and ZO-1)and IL-22,and helped maintain the integrity of the intestinal epithelial physical barrier.Increased levels of mucin 2 andβ-defensin were also found in the intestinal mucus of the olive oil-treated mice.These findings suggest that the oral administration of olive oil effectively attenuated the ovalbumin-induced allergic immune response in the mice,and had a positive effect on intestinal epithelial mucosal immunity. 展开更多

We present optical frequency combs with a spectral emission of 48 cm-1and an output power of 420 m W based on a single-core quantum cascade laser at λ ~ 8.7μm. A flat top spectrum sustains up to 130 comb modes delivering ~ 3.2 m W of optical power per mode, making it a valuable tool for dual comb spectroscopy. The homogeneous gain medium, relying on a slightly diagonal bound-to-continuum structure, promises to provide a broad and stable gain for comb operating. Remarkably, the dispersion of this device is measured within 300 fs2/mm to ensure stable comb operation over 90% of the total current range. The comb is observed with a narrow beatnote linewidth around 2 k Hz and has weak dependence on the applied current for stable comb operation. 展开更多

以叠鞘石斛(Dendrobium aurantiacum)为研究对象,样品采用乙腈提取,经Cleanert TPH专用净化柱净化。用GC-MS/MS测定样品,根据色谱相对保留时间和质荷比信息对样品进行定性分析,以乐果二级离子扫描峰(125.0/79.0)面积为参照峰,建立以乐... 以叠鞘石斛(Dendrobium aurantiacum)为研究对象,样品采用乙腈提取,经Cleanert TPH专用净化柱净化。用GC-MS/MS测定样品,根据色谱相对保留时间和质荷比信息对样品进行定性分析,以乐果二级离子扫描峰(125.0/79.0)面积为参照峰,建立以乐果为对照品,测定叠鞘石斛中乐果等三种农药残留量的GC-MS/MS方法。结果表明,乐果、敌敌畏、毒死蜱进样量在0.1~1.0 ng与它们的色谱峰面积有较好的线性关系,最低检出限(以进样量计)分别为1.399×10^(-2)、2.279×10^(-4)、1.757×10^(-4) ng;平均回收率分别为95.4%、95.0%、94.7%。该一测多评方法简单快速,定量准确,适用于叠鞘石斛中乐果、敌敌畏、毒死蜱农药残留的同时测定。 展开更多
