A Stable Open-Shell Conjugated Diradical Polymer with Ultra-High Photothermal Conversion Efficiency for NIR-Ⅱ Photo-Immunotherapy of Metastatic Tumor

Massive efforts have been concentrated on the advance of eminent near-infrared(NIR) photothermal materials(PTMs) in the NIR-Ⅱ window(1000–1700 nm), especially organic PTMs because of their intrinsic biological safety compared with inorganic PTMs. However, so far, only a few NIR-Ⅱresponsive organic PTMs was explored, and their photothermal conversion efficiencies(PCEs) still remain relatively low. Herein, donor–acceptor conjugated diradical polymers with open-shell characteristics are explored for synergistically photothermal immunotherapy of metastatic tumors in the NIR-Ⅱ window. By employing side-chain regulation, the conjugated diradical polymer TTB-2 with obvious NIR-Ⅱ absorption was developed, and its nanoparticles realize a record-breaking PCE of 87.7% upon NIR-Ⅱ light illustration. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that TTB-2 nanoparticles show good tumor photoablation with navigation of photoacoustic imaging in the NIR-Ⅱ window, without any side-effect. Moreover, by combining with PD-1 antibody,the pulmonary metastasis of breast cancer is high-effectively prevented by the efficient photo-immunity effect. Thus, this study explores superior PTMs for cancer metastasis theranostics in the NIR-Ⅱ window, offering a new horizon in developing radical-characteristic NIR-Ⅱ photothermal materials. 展开更多

In this study, yak bone collagen hydrolysate(YBCH)was produced by mixed proteases and provided to standard-diet mice at a different dose(low dose(LD), medium dose(MD), and high dose(HD))to investigate its effects on the composition of gut microbiota and short-chain fatty acids(SCFA)production. It was found that YBCH was mainly composed of small molecular peptides whose molecular weight below 2 000 Da. Notably, supplementation with different doses of YBCH could significantly downregulate the ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes in the fecal microbiota. At the family level, the Lachnospiraceae abundance was significantly reduced in the YBCH gavage groups(mean reduction ratio 41.7 %, 35.2%, and 36.4% for LD, MD, and HD group, respectively). The predicted functions of gut microbes in the MD group were significantly increased at “lipid metabolism” and “glycan biosynthesis and metabolism”. Moreover, the SCFA production in the YBCH groups was elevated. Especially, the concentration of acetic acid, propionic acid, and butyric acid in the MD group was separately increased 79.7%, 89.2%, and 78.8% than that in the NC group. These results indicated that YBCH might be applied in the development of functional food for intestinal microecological regulation. 展开更多

Multiple Impact Phenomenon in Impact Hammer Testing:Theoretical Analysis and Numerical Simulation

As conducting an impact hammer testing during experimental modal analysis,the multiple impact phenomenon must be avoided.It is generally recognized that the multiple impact phenomenon is induced by the tester’s improper operation and can be avoided through more careful operation.This study theoretically and numerically investigates the whole process of the dynamical interaction between the hammer tip and the impacted structure and discovers the intrinsically physical mechanism of the multiple impact phenomenon.The determination of the interacting process comes down to solve two sets of governing differential equations alternately,and the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis is validated by numerical simulations.Four dimensionless parameters governing the interacting process are recognized in the theoretical framework.The critical stiffness ratio for a given impacted location and the critical impacted location for a given stiffness ratio are analytically determined.These results can guide impact hammer testing to avoid the occurrence of multiple impact by suggesting the hammer tip and impacted locations. 展开更多

The rapid serial visual presentation(RSVP)paradigm has garnered considerable attention in brain–computer interface(BCI)systems.Studies have focused on using cross-subject electroencephalogram data to train cross-subject RSVP detection models.In this study,we performed a comparative analysis of the top 5 deep learning algorithms used by various teams in the event-related potential competition of the BCI Controlled Robot Contest in World Robot Contest 2022.We evaluated these algorithms on the final data set and compared their performance in cross-subject RSVP detection.The results revealed that deep learning models can achieve excellent results with appropriate training methods when applied to cross-subject detection tasks.We discussed the limitations of existing deep learning algorithms in cross-subject RSVP detection and highlighted potential research directions. 展开更多
