Numerous studies have shown that cell replacement therapy can replenish lost cells and rebuild neural circuitry in animal models of Parkinson’s disease.Transplantation of midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cells is a p...Numerous studies have shown that cell replacement therapy can replenish lost cells and rebuild neural circuitry in animal models of Parkinson’s disease.Transplantation of midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cells is a promising treatment for Parkinson’s disease.However,transplanted cells can be injured by mechanical damage during handling and by changes in the transplantation niche.Here,we developed a one-step biomanufacturing platform that uses small-aperture gelatin microcarriers to produce beads carrying midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cells.These beads allow midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cell differentiation and cryopreservation without digestion,effectively maintaining axonal integrity in vitro.Importantly,midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cell bead grafts showed increased survival and only mild immunoreactivity in vivo compared with suspended midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cell grafts.Overall,our findings show that these midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cell beads enhance the effectiveness of neuronal cell transplantation.展开更多
Leopard coral groupers(Plectropomus leopardus),commercially bred in South China,are a significant economical fish species.In this study,by means of quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR)technology,we assessed the stabili...Leopard coral groupers(Plectropomus leopardus),commercially bred in South China,are a significant economical fish species.In this study,by means of quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR)technology,we assessed the stability of six common reference genes expression and selected the appropriate reference genes in leopard coral groupers with or without Vibrio harveyi stimulation at different time points.These data produced by qRT-PCR was handled via the geNorm,NormFinder,and BestKeeper software.The results revealed all the examined reference genes had manifest tissue-specific expression in different tissues.Prior to V.harveyi stimulation,RPL13 gene was the appropriate reference gene among eleven tissue types(blood,spleen,hepatopancreas,kidney,stomach,gill,heart,skin,muscle,intestine,brain)in leopard coral groupers.Under V.harveyi stimulation,the most reliable reference genes varied from tissue to tissue and were closely hinged upon different time points.At 6-h post-bacterial injection,the appropriate reference genes in hepatopancreas,spleen,kidney,and gill were Actin,B2M,UBCE,and Actin,respectively.At 9-and 12-h post-bacterial injection,the appropriate reference genes in hepatopancreas,spleen,kidney,and gill were RPL13,Actin,Actin,and Actin,respectively.If one reference gene was preferable,RPL13,Actin,Actin,and Actin could be selected as the reference gene in hepatopancreas,spleen,kidney,and gill of leopard coral groupers after V.harveyi infection,respectively.Expression profiles of two target genes(IL-6 and NK-lysin)were used to further validate reliability of these selected appropriate candidates.This study will lay a solid foundation for the future research on qRTPCR analysis of gene expression in leopard coral groupers.展开更多
BACKGROUND Klebsiella variicola(K.variicola)is a member of the Klebsiella genus and is often misidentied as Klebsiella pneumoniae.In this report,we present a rare case of invasive liver abscess caused by K.variicola.C...BACKGROUND Klebsiella variicola(K.variicola)is a member of the Klebsiella genus and is often misidentied as Klebsiella pneumoniae.In this report,we present a rare case of invasive liver abscess caused by K.variicola.CASE SUMMARY We report a rare case of liver abscess due to K.variicola.A 57-year-old female patient presented with back pain for a month.She developed a high-grade fever associated with chills,and went into a coma and developed shock.The clinical examinations and tests after admission confirmed a diagnosis of primary liver abscess caused by K.variicola complicated by intracranial infection and septic shock.The patient successfully recovered following early percutaneous drainage of the abscess,prompt appropriate antibiotic administration,and timely open surgical drainage.CONCLUSION This is a case of successful treatment of invasive liver abscess syndrome caused by K.variicola,which has rarely been reported.The findings of this report point to the need for further study of this disease.展开更多

Incorporation of Ag into CZTSSe thin films can adjust the bandgap and thus reduce the VOC-deficit and improve the quality of crystallization. However, the distribution of Ag is difficult to control due to the quick diffusion of Ag under the high temperature. In this study, we achieve the front Ag-gradient in kesterite structured compound films by prealloying followed by selenization process at 550 °C. AgZn3,Ag3Sn, and Sn–Ag–Cu alloy phases were formed during prealloying stage at 250 °C. After prealloying process, Ag tends to distribute at the front surface of the ACZTSe thin films. Combining the results of experiment and SCAPS simulation, the significantly VOCimprovement of devices is ascribed to the formation of the front Ag-gradient bandgap structure in the absorber layer. This facile prealloying selenization process affords a feasible method to design the graded bandgap structure absorber layers, which will promote the fabrication of high efficient graded bandgap structure solar cells.展开更多

The phenylalanine ammonia-lyase(PAL)gene family in tea plants(Camellia sinensis L.)encodes the enzyme that catalyzes the first reaction of the phenylpropane metabolic pathway.The present study aimed to characterize th...The phenylalanine ammonia-lyase(PAL)gene family in tea plants(Camellia sinensis L.)encodes the enzyme that catalyzes the first reaction of the phenylpropane metabolic pathway.The present study aimed to characterize the PAL genes in tea plants,and get better insights on the CsPALs in anthocyanins accumulation.Seven CsPAL genes were identified and characterized in tea plants by bioinformatics analysis.Systematic analysis of CsPALs was conducted for its phylogenetic relationship,gene structure,chromosomal location,and protein conserved motifs based on tea plant genome.The cis-elements of CsPALs were responsive to light,abiotic stress,hormone,and MYB-binding site.Furthermore,tissuespecific expression analysis showed that CsPAL4 was expressed preferentially in young leaves and buds.Correlation analysis was performed in purple-leaf tea with anthocyanin components,and it was suggested that CsPAL4 was closely related with different anthocyanin accumulated,especially with cyanidin 3-O-galactoside,cyanidin 3-O-glucoside,and delphinidin 3-O-glucoside.Additionally,the putative upstream regulation factors CsMYBs(CsMYB59,CsARR1,CsSRM1,CsMYB101,and CsMYB52)and CsbHLHs(CsbHLH104,CsbHLH3,CsbIM1,CsTCP14,and CsPIF4)could bind to the promoter of CsPALs,thereby activating its transcription.This study provides a theoretical basis for further research to elucidate the functions of the CsPAL genes.展开更多
Tea plants(Camellia sinensis)are commercially cultivated in>60 countries,and their fresh leaves are processed into tea,which is the most widely consumed beverage in the world.Although several chromosome-level tea p...Tea plants(Camellia sinensis)are commercially cultivated in>60 countries,and their fresh leaves are processed into tea,which is the most widely consumed beverage in the world.Although several chromosome-level tea plant genomes have been published,they collapsed the two haplotypes and ignored a large number of allelic variations that may underlie important biological functions in this species.Here,we present a phased chromosome-scale assembly for an elite oolong tea cultivar,"Huangdan",that is well known for its high levels of aroma.Based on the two sets of haplotype genome data,we identi fi ed numerous genetic variations and a substantial proportion of allelic imbalance related to important traits,including aroma-and stress-related alleles.Comparative genomics revealed extensive structural variations as well as expansion of some gene families,such as terpene synthases(TPSs),that likely contribute to the high-aroma characteristics of the backbone parent,underlying the molecular basis for the biosynthesis of aroma-related chemicals in oolong tea.Our results uncovered the genetic basis of special features of this oolong tea cultivar,providing fundamental genomic resources to study evolution and domestication for the economically important tea crop.展开更多

The properties of the FGM media are varied through the thickness based on a simple power law. The governing equations are numerically solved by a shooting method. The results of the critical buckling temperature, post-buckling equilibrium paths, and configurations for the in-plane elastically restrained plates are presented. In this study, the band alignment of the Zn(O,S)/Cu_2 ZnSnSe_4 p–n junction solar cell and the effect of In_2 S_3/Zn(O,S) double buffer layer are studied by numerically simulation with wxAMPS software.By optimizing the band gap structure between Zn(O,S) buffer layer and Cu_2 ZnSnSe_4 absorber layer and enhancing the carrier concentration of Zn(O,S) layer, the device efficiency can be improved greatly. The value of CBO is in a range of 0 eV–0.4 eV for S/(S + O)= 0.6–0.8 in Zn(O,S). The In_2 S_3 is mainly used to increase the carrier concentration when it is used as a buffer layer together with Zn(O,S).展开更多

To obtain the VSe_2 film, we first prepare a vanadium film by electron beam evaporation and we then perform selenization in a vacuum chamber. This method has the advantages of low temperature, is less time-consuming, has a large area, and has a stable performance. At 400?C selenization temperature, we successfully prepare VSe_2 films on both glass and Mo substrates. The prepared VSe_2 has the characteristic of preferential growth along the c-axis, with low transmittance.It is found that the contact between Al and VSe_2/Mo is ohmic contact. Compared to Mo substrate, lower square resistance and higher carrier concentration of the VSe_2/Mo sample reveal that the VSe_2 film may be a potential material for thin film solar cells or other semiconductor devices. The new synthetic strategy that is developed here paves a sustainable way to the application of VSe_2 in photovoltaic devices.展开更多

Hyperlipidemia acute pancreatitis(HLAP)is a significant cause of AP,characterized by recurrent attacks,more complications and high incidence and mortality.HLAP is often accompanied by single or multiple organ damage.N...Hyperlipidemia acute pancreatitis(HLAP)is a significant cause of AP,characterized by recurrent attacks,more complications and high incidence and mortality.HLAP is often accompanied by single or multiple organ damage.Negative regulation of interferon-regulatory factor 9(IRF9)on sirtuin-1(SIRT1)contributes to a range of diseases.However,the function of IRF9 and SIRT1,and the relationship of the two in HLAP with heart injury remain to be illustrated so far.Animal models of HLAP were set up by feeding with high-fat chow and subsequently injecting 20%L-arginine intraperitoneally.The degree of pancreas and heart tissue injury was evaluated.Heart cell apoptosis was assayed by the TUNEL technique.IRF9,SIRT1,p53 and acetylated p53(Ac-p53)expression levels were measured by qRT-PCR and western blot.The correlation between SIRT1 and IRF9 expression levels was analyzed.Results showed that the damage degree in rat pancreas and heart tissues of AP and HLAP group was more distinctly and heart cell apoptosis was elevated.Pancreas,heart injury and cell apoptosis of the HLAP group were more remarkable than that of the AP group.Apparent increases of IRF9 and Ac-p53/p53 expression and a marked drop of SIRT1 expression were observed in the AP and HLAP group rather than NC and HLNC group.IRF9 and Ac-p53/p53 expression levels of the HLAP group were markedly raised compared with the AP group.SIRT1 expression of the HLAP group was obviously lower than that of the AP group.There was an inverse correlation between the decrease of SIRT1 and the increase of IRF9 in AP and HLAP groups.Based on the above findings,we drew a conclusion that in pancreatitis with heart injury,upregulated IRF9 inhibited SIRT1 expression,elevated the acetylation of p53,and increased myocardial cell apoptosis.Hyperlipidemia further exacerbated pancreas and heart injury and accelerated myocardial cell apoptosis.These results would furnish an experimental and theoretical basis to diagnose and therapy diseases.展开更多
BACKGROUND Shock is among the most common conditions that clinicians face in intensive care unit(ICU),of which hypovolemic shock is encountered most frequently;some patients instead suffer from neurogenic,cardiogenic,...BACKGROUND Shock is among the most common conditions that clinicians face in intensive care unit(ICU),of which hypovolemic shock is encountered most frequently;some patients instead suffer from neurogenic,cardiogenic,or infectious forms of shock.However,there are additional types of shock from unusual causes that are often undiagnosed.Here,we report the case of a patient who was initially misdiagnosed with hypovolemic shock,but exhibited persistent hypotension because of continuous fluid replacement and vasoactive drug administration,and was eventually diagnosed with hypopituitarism with crisis.CASE SUMMARY A 73-year-old Chinese man was admitted to the neurosurgery department following injury caused by a heavy object with symptoms of anemia and high fever.He was transferred to the ICU on the fourth day after hospitalization because of hypotension and unconsciousness.Blood analysis indicated that the patient was suffering from anemia and thrombocytopenia.Ultrasonography showed that there was no apparent abnormality in the cardiac structure but there was mild tricuspid regurgitation.Computed tomography revealed that there were signs of hemorrhage at the right basal ganglia;accordingly,hypovolemic shock,possibly septic shock,was initially considered.Even after routine treatment for shock,the hypotension remained severe.The patient was again thoroughly examined to investigate the underlying cause.The antishock therapy was supplemented with corticosteroids to counter potential hypopituitarism.The patient made a full recovery,and the blood pressure returned to normal.CONCLUSION A case of pituitary adenoma with multiple injuries was identified.Because of hypopituitarism,functionality of the corresponding endocrine system was restricted,with the most pronounced manifestation being unstable blood circulation requiring hormone replacement therapy.Such cases are relatively rare but may occur if multiple injuries are sustained.The present case represents a reference for the clinical treatment of patients with multiple injuries.展开更多

Compared with the VCSELs with Al_(0.05)Ga_(0.95)As/Al_(0.3)Ga_(0.7)As quantum wells, the VCSEL with strained In_(0.13)Ga_(0.75)Al_(0.12)As/Al_(0.3)Ga_(0.7)As quantum wells is demonstrated to possess higher power conversion efficiency(PCE) and better temperature stability. The maximum PCE of 43.8% for 10-μm VCSEL is achieved at an ambient temperature of 30°C. The size-dependent thermal characteristics are also analyzed by characterizing the spectral power and output power. It demonstrates that small oxide-aperture VCSELs are advantageous for temperature-stable performance.展开更多

AgZn3,Ag3Sn, and Sn–Ag–Cu alloy phases were formed during prealloying stage at 250 °C. After prealloying process, Ag tends to distribute at the front surface of the ACZTSe thin films. Combining the results of experiment and SCAPS simulation, the significantly VOCimprovement of devices is ascribed to the formation of the front Ag-gradient bandgap structure in the absorber layer. This facile prealloying selenization process affords a feasible method to design the graded bandgap structure absorber layers, which will promote the fabrication of high efficient graded bandgap structure solar cells.

文摘Two new cucurbitacins,jinfushanencins A(1)and B(2),seven new cucurbitane glycosides,jinfushanosides E-K(3-9),along with nine known analogues,were obtained from the tubers of Hemsleya penxianensis.Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic and chemical methods.Selected isolates were tested their anti-HIV-1 activities,and compound 5 showed weak anti-HIV-1 in C8166 cell(EC50=5.9μg/mL)with a selectivity index of 13.5.

文摘The phenylalanine ammonia-lyase(PAL)gene family in tea plants(Camellia sinensis L.)encodes the enzyme that catalyzes the first reaction of the phenylpropane metabolic pathway.The present study aimed to characterize the PAL genes in tea plants,and get better insights on the CsPALs in anthocyanins accumulation.Seven CsPAL genes were identified and characterized in tea plants by bioinformatics analysis.Systematic analysis of CsPALs was conducted for its phylogenetic relationship,gene structure,chromosomal location,and protein conserved motifs based on tea plant genome.The cis-elements of CsPALs were responsive to light,abiotic stress,hormone,and MYB-binding site.Furthermore,tissuespecific expression analysis showed that CsPAL4 was expressed preferentially in young leaves and buds.Correlation analysis was performed in purple-leaf tea with anthocyanin components,and it was suggested that CsPAL4 was closely related with different anthocyanin accumulated,especially with cyanidin 3-O-galactoside,cyanidin 3-O-glucoside,and delphinidin 3-O-glucoside.Additionally,the putative upstream regulation factors CsMYBs(CsMYB59,CsARR1,CsSRM1,CsMYB101,and CsMYB52)and CsbHLHs(CsbHLH104,CsbHLH3,CsbIM1,CsTCP14,and CsPIF4)could bind to the promoter of CsPALs,thereby activating its transcription.This study provides a theoretical basis for further research to elucidate the functions of the CsPAL genes.

文摘Tea plants(Camellia sinensis)are commercially cultivated in>60 countries,and their fresh leaves are processed into tea,which is the most widely consumed beverage in the world.Although several chromosome-level tea plant genomes have been published,they collapsed the two haplotypes and ignored a large number of allelic variations that may underlie important biological functions in this species.Here,we present a phased chromosome-scale assembly for an elite oolong tea cultivar,"Huangdan",that is well known for its high levels of aroma.Based on the two sets of haplotype genome data,we identi fi ed numerous genetic variations and a substantial proportion of allelic imbalance related to important traits,including aroma-and stress-related alleles.Comparative genomics revealed extensive structural variations as well as expansion of some gene families,such as terpene synthases(TPSs),that likely contribute to the high-aroma characteristics of the backbone parent,underlying the molecular basis for the biosynthesis of aroma-related chemicals in oolong tea.Our results uncovered the genetic basis of special features of this oolong tea cultivar,providing fundamental genomic resources to study evolution and domestication for the economically important tea crop.

文摘Humpback grouper Cromileptes altivelis is one commercial fish with considerable economic value.To determine the expression stabilities of six commonly used internal reference genes in C.altivelis challenged by Vibrio harveyi and viral nervous necrosis virus(VNNV)through quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR),the expression levels of selected genes in five immune organs stimulated with pathogenic infection were carefully evaluated using algorithms of geNorm,NormFinder,and BestKeeper.The results show that the expre ssion stabilities of the six candidate inte rnal reference genes were diffe re nt.Under no rmal physiological conditions,RPL13 were identified as the most stably expressed genes among five different immune organs(liver,spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill).After V.harveyi stimulation,RPL13,RPL13,EF1 A,RPL13,and EF1 A were identified by geNorm,NormFinder,and BestKeeper as the most stable genes in liver,spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.Combining these three algorithms suggested that under stimulation of VNNV,RPL13,EF1 A,Actin,RPL13,and Actin were as the most stable genes in liver,spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.These results suggest that specific experiment conditions and tissue types shall be considered when selecting the reference genes in qRT-PCR analysis.This study provided a solid foundation for future studies on gene expression of C.altivelis under different conditions.

文摘Four new triterpenoid alkaloid derivatives,buxrugulines A-D(1-4),together with four known ones(5-8),were isolated from the leaves and stems of Buxus rugulosa.The structures of compounds 1-4 were elucidated by NMR and MS spectroscopic analysis.All compounds were assayed for their cytotoxicities against HL-60,SMMC-7721,A549,MCF-7,and SW480 cells lines.

文摘Based on von Karman's plate theory, the axisymmetric thermal buckling and post-buckling of the functionally graded material(FGM) circular plates with inplane elastic restraints under transversely non-uniform temperature rise are studied. The properties of the FGM media are varied through the thickness based on a simple power law. The governing equations are numerically solved by a shooting method. The results of the critical buckling temperature, post-buckling equilibrium paths, and configurations for the in-plane elastically restrained plates are presented. The effects of the in-plane elastic restraints, material property gradient, and temperature variation on the responses of thermal buckling and post-buckling are examined in detail.

文摘Cd-free kesterite structured solar cells are currently attracting attention because they are environmentally friendly. It is reported that Zn(O,S) can be used as a buffer layer in these solar cells. However, the band alignment is not clear and the carrier concentration of Zn(O,S) layer is low. In this study, the band alignment of the Zn(O,S)/Cu_2 ZnSnSe_4 p–n junction solar cell and the effect of In_2 S_3/Zn(O,S) double buffer layer are studied by numerically simulation with wxAMPS software.By optimizing the band gap structure between Zn(O,S) buffer layer and Cu_2 ZnSnSe_4 absorber layer and enhancing the carrier concentration of Zn(O,S) layer, the device efficiency can be improved greatly. The value of CBO is in a range of 0 eV–0.4 eV for S/(S + O)= 0.6–0.8 in Zn(O,S). The In_2 S_3 is mainly used to increase the carrier concentration when it is used as a buffer layer together with Zn(O,S).

文摘We put forward a two-step route to synthesize vanadium diselenide(VSe_2), a typical transition metal dichalcogenide(TMD). To obtain the VSe_2 film, we first prepare a vanadium film by electron beam evaporation and we then perform selenization in a vacuum chamber. This method has the advantages of low temperature, is less time-consuming, has a large area, and has a stable performance. At 400?C selenization temperature, we successfully prepare VSe_2 films on both glass and Mo substrates. The prepared VSe_2 has the characteristic of preferential growth along the c-axis, with low transmittance.It is found that the contact between Al and VSe_2/Mo is ohmic contact. Compared to Mo substrate, lower square resistance and higher carrier concentration of the VSe_2/Mo sample reveal that the VSe_2 film may be a potential material for thin film solar cells or other semiconductor devices. The new synthetic strategy that is developed here paves a sustainable way to the application of VSe_2 in photovoltaic devices.

文摘The Knudsen effusion cell is often used to grow high-quality Cu(In,Ga)Se_(2)(CIGS)thin film in coevaporation processes.However,the traditional single-heating Knudsen effusion cell cannot deliver complete metal selenides during the whole deposition process,particularly for a low-temperature deposition process,which is probably due to the condensation and droplet ejection at the nozzle of the crucible.In this study,thermodynamics analysis is conducted to decipher the reason for this phenomenon.Furthermore,a new single-heating Knudsen effusion is proposed to solve this difficult problem,which leads to an improvement in the quality of CIGS film and a relative increase in conversion efficiency of 29%at a growth rate of about 230 nmmin1,compared with the traditional efficiency in a lowtemperature rapid-deposition process.

文摘Hyperlipidemia acute pancreatitis(HLAP)is a significant cause of AP,characterized by recurrent attacks,more complications and high incidence and mortality.HLAP is often accompanied by single or multiple organ damage.Negative regulation of interferon-regulatory factor 9(IRF9)on sirtuin-1(SIRT1)contributes to a range of diseases.However,the function of IRF9 and SIRT1,and the relationship of the two in HLAP with heart injury remain to be illustrated so far.Animal models of HLAP were set up by feeding with high-fat chow and subsequently injecting 20%L-arginine intraperitoneally.The degree of pancreas and heart tissue injury was evaluated.Heart cell apoptosis was assayed by the TUNEL technique.IRF9,SIRT1,p53 and acetylated p53(Ac-p53)expression levels were measured by qRT-PCR and western blot.The correlation between SIRT1 and IRF9 expression levels was analyzed.Results showed that the damage degree in rat pancreas and heart tissues of AP and HLAP group was more distinctly and heart cell apoptosis was elevated.Pancreas,heart injury and cell apoptosis of the HLAP group were more remarkable than that of the AP group.Apparent increases of IRF9 and Ac-p53/p53 expression and a marked drop of SIRT1 expression were observed in the AP and HLAP group rather than NC and HLNC group.IRF9 and Ac-p53/p53 expression levels of the HLAP group were markedly raised compared with the AP group.SIRT1 expression of the HLAP group was obviously lower than that of the AP group.There was an inverse correlation between the decrease of SIRT1 and the increase of IRF9 in AP and HLAP groups.Based on the above findings,we drew a conclusion that in pancreatitis with heart injury,upregulated IRF9 inhibited SIRT1 expression,elevated the acetylation of p53,and increased myocardial cell apoptosis.Hyperlipidemia further exacerbated pancreas and heart injury and accelerated myocardial cell apoptosis.These results would furnish an experimental and theoretical basis to diagnose and therapy diseases.

文摘BACKGROUND Shock is among the most common conditions that clinicians face in intensive care unit(ICU),of which hypovolemic shock is encountered most frequently;some patients instead suffer from neurogenic,cardiogenic,or infectious forms of shock.However,there are additional types of shock from unusual causes that are often undiagnosed.Here,we report the case of a patient who was initially misdiagnosed with hypovolemic shock,but exhibited persistent hypotension because of continuous fluid replacement and vasoactive drug administration,and was eventually diagnosed with hypopituitarism with crisis.CASE SUMMARY A 73-year-old Chinese man was admitted to the neurosurgery department following injury caused by a heavy object with symptoms of anemia and high fever.He was transferred to the ICU on the fourth day after hospitalization because of hypotension and unconsciousness.Blood analysis indicated that the patient was suffering from anemia and thrombocytopenia.Ultrasonography showed that there was no apparent abnormality in the cardiac structure but there was mild tricuspid regurgitation.Computed tomography revealed that there were signs of hemorrhage at the right basal ganglia;accordingly,hypovolemic shock,possibly septic shock,was initially considered.Even after routine treatment for shock,the hypotension remained severe.The patient was again thoroughly examined to investigate the underlying cause.The antishock therapy was supplemented with corticosteroids to counter potential hypopituitarism.The patient made a full recovery,and the blood pressure returned to normal.CONCLUSION A case of pituitary adenoma with multiple injuries was identified.Because of hypopituitarism,functionality of the corresponding endocrine system was restricted,with the most pronounced manifestation being unstable blood circulation requiring hormone replacement therapy.Such cases are relatively rare but may occur if multiple injuries are sustained.The present case represents a reference for the clinical treatment of patients with multiple injuries.

文摘The 808-nm vertical cavity surface emitting laser(VCSEL) with strained In_(0.13)Ga_(0.75)Al_(0.12)As/Al_(0.3)Ga_(0.7)As quantum wells is designed and fabricated. Compared with the VCSELs with Al_(0.05)Ga_(0.95)As/Al_(0.3)Ga_(0.7)As quantum wells, the VCSEL with strained In_(0.13)Ga_(0.75)Al_(0.12)As/Al_(0.3)Ga_(0.7)As quantum wells is demonstrated to possess higher power conversion efficiency(PCE) and better temperature stability. The maximum PCE of 43.8% for 10-μm VCSEL is achieved at an ambient temperature of 30°C. The size-dependent thermal characteristics are also analyzed by characterizing the spectral power and output power. It demonstrates that small oxide-aperture VCSELs are advantageous for temperature-stable performance.

文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),which is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2,poses a significant threat to public health worldwide,and diabetes is considered a risk factor for the rapid progression and poor prognosis of COVID-19.Limited immune function is a clinical feature of COVID-19 patients,and diabetes patients have defects in innate and adaptive immune functions,which may be an important reason for the rapid progression and poor prognosis of COVID-19 in patients with diabetes.We review the possible multiple effects of immune impairment in diabetic patients on the immune responses to COVID-19 to provide guidance for the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic patients with COVID-19.
