Self-rooted apple stock is widely used for apple production.However,the shallowness of the adventitious roots in self-rooted apple stock leads to poor performance in the barren orchards of China.This is because of the...Self-rooted apple stock is widely used for apple production.However,the shallowness of the adventitious roots in self-rooted apple stock leads to poor performance in the barren orchards of China.This is because of the considerable difference in the development of a gravitropic set-point angle(GSA)between self-rooted apple stock and seedling rootstock.Therefore,it is crucial to study the molecular mechanism of adventitious root GSA in self-rooted apple stock for breeding self-rooted and deep-rooted apple rootstock cultivars.An apple auxin response factor MdARF19 functioned to establish the adventitious root GSA of self-rooted apple stock in response to gravity and auxin signals.MdARF19 bound directly to the MdPIN7 promoter,activating its transcriptional expression and thus regulating the formation of the adventitious root GSA in 12-2 self-rooted apple stock.However,MdARF19 influenced the expression of auxin efflux carriers(MdPIN3 and MdPIN10)and the establishment of adventitious root GSA of self-rooted apple stock in response to gravity signals by direct activation of MdFLP.Our findings provide new information on the transcriptional regulation of MdPIN7 by auxin response factor MdARF19 in the regulation of the adventitious root GSA of self-rooted apple stock in response to gravity and auxin signals.展开更多
Laser interferometry is an important technique for ultrasensitive detection of motion and displacement.We push the limit of laser interferometry through noise optimization and device engineering.The contribution of no...Laser interferometry is an important technique for ultrasensitive detection of motion and displacement.We push the limit of laser interferometry through noise optimization and device engineering.The contribution of noises other than shot noise is reduced from 92.6%to 62.4%,demonstrating the possibility towards shotnoise-limited measurement.Using noise thermometry,we quantify the laser heating effect and determine the range of laser power values for room-temperature measurements.With detailed analysis and optimization of signal transduction,we achieve 1.2 fm/Hz^(1/2)displacement measurement sensitivity at room temperature in twodimensional(2D)Ca Nb_(2)O_(6)nanomechanical resonators,the best value reported to date among all resonators based on 2D materials.Our work demonstrates a possible pathway towards quantum-noise-limited measurement at room temperature.展开更多

This technology can solve some existing probl...A novel suspension-floating-circulating fluidized combustion technology is proposed for burning coal slurry fuel in traditional circulating ftuidized bed boilers (CFBB). This technology can solve some existing problems in large- capacity CFBB burning coal slurry. The principles of the suspension-floating-circulating fluidized combustion technology were introduced in detail in this paper. A 130 t/h CFBB was retrofitted based on the technology, and the retrofitted system mainly includes a long-distance transport sub-system, a bed-material conveying sub-system with a wind-seal device invented by the authors, a superheater thermoregulation device using a novel temperature regulator, a return loop flu- idization facility, and a pneumatic ash conveying sub-system with sealed pump. The achieved performance of the retro- fitted CFBB shows that the thermal efficiency is 89.83 %, the combustion efficiency is 96.24 %, and the blending proportion of slurry is 94 %.展开更多
The high-purity distillation column system is strongly nonlinear and coupled,which makes it difficult to control.Active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)has been widely used in distillation systems,but it has limita...The high-purity distillation column system is strongly nonlinear and coupled,which makes it difficult to control.Active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)has been widely used in distillation systems,but it has limitations in controlling distillation systems with large time delays since ADRC employs ESO and feedback control law to estimate the total disturbance of the system without considering the large time delays.This paper designs a proportion integral-type active disturbance rejection generalized predictive control(PI-ADRGPC)algorithm to control the distillation column system with large time delay.It replaces the PD controller in ADRC with a proportion integral-type generalized predictive control(PI-GPC),thereby improving the performance of control systems with large time delays.Since the proposed controller has many parameters and is difficult to tune,this paper proposes to use the grey wolf optimization(GWO)to tune these parameters,whose structure can also be used by other intelligent optimization algorithms.The performance of GWO tuned PI-ADRGPC is compared with the control performance of GWO tuned ADRC method,multi-verse optimizer(MVO)tuned PI-ADRGPC and MVO tuned ADRC.The simulation results show that the proposed strategy can track reference well and has a good disturbance rejection performance.展开更多

The basic instruments used are personal computers, a Visual C++ compiler and MATLAB including the GUI Design Environment, Simulink, real-time workshop, xPC target, and some relevant hardware. For the first method, MATLAB functions are used to build a control system debugging and testing environment. This method is flexible and only one RS-232 serial cable is used. Limited programming is used for the second method and ready-made blocks in MATLAB/Simulink are used to build the simulation environment and communication channel. In both methods, the parameters of the emulation system can be modified online, important graphs can be drawn in real time and relevant data can be easily saved for the later analysis. As can be seen from the presented examples, both techniques are easily realized.展开更多

Two-dimensional(2D)non-layered materials,along with their unique surface properties,offer intriguing prospects for sensing applications.Introducing mechanical degrees of freedom is expected to enrich the sensing perfo...Two-dimensional(2D)non-layered materials,along with their unique surface properties,offer intriguing prospects for sensing applications.Introducing mechanical degrees of freedom is expected to enrich the sensing performances of 2D non-layered devices,such as high frequency,high tunability,and large dynamic range,which could lead to new types of high performance nanosensors.Here,we demonstrate 2D non-layered nanomechanical resonant sensors based onβ-In_(2)S_(3),where the devices exhibit robust nanomechanical vibrations up to the very high frequency(VHF)band.We show that such device can operate as pressure sensor with broad range(from 103 Torr to atmospheric pressure),high linearity(with a nonlinearity factor as low as 0.0071),and fast response(with an intrinsic response time less than 1μs).We further unveil the frequency scaling law in theseβ-In_(2)S_(3) nanomechanical sensors and successfully extract both the Young's modulus and pretension for the crystal.Our work paves the way towards future wafer-scale design and integrated sensors based on 2D non-layered materials.展开更多

Diterpene ginkgolides meglumine injection(DGMI),a kind of Ginkgo biloba special extract injection,is now used for the treatment of ischemic stroke in convalescence.In the present study,we aimed to confirm whether DGMI...Diterpene ginkgolides meglumine injection(DGMI),a kind of Ginkgo biloba special extract injection,is now used for the treatment of ischemic stroke in convalescence.In the present study,we aimed to confirm whether DGMI could suppress inflammatory responses and apoptosis and explore the potential mechanisms underlying these effects.Cell viability and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)release were measured by MTS and LDH assays after the cells were exposed to oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation(OGD/R).The extent of anti-apoptotic effect of DGMI was detected by flow cytometry using Annexin V-FITC/PI double staining assay kit.Pro-inflammatory cytokines,including TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-10,were quantified by a specific Bio-Plex ProTM Reagent Kit.Additionally,activities of TLR2/4,NF-κB p65,MAPK pathway and apoptosis-related proteins as well as cellular localization of NF-κB p65 were determined by Western blotting analysis and immunofluorescence staining,respectively.DGMI at 50μg/mL significantly increased the cell viability and decreased the secretion of IL-1β,IL-6,IL-10 and TNF-αin OGD/R-induced BV2 microglia cells.These effects were also confirmed by LDH assay and Annexin V-FITC/PI staining.Meanwhile,DGMI not only inhibited the protein expressions of TLR2,TLR4,MyD88,p-TAK1,p-IkBα,p-IKKβand Bak,but also decreased the cleaved caspase-3/caspase-3,Bax/Bcl-2 and cleaved PARP-1/PARP-1 ratio in OGD/R-induced BV2 microglia cells.Furthermore,OGD/R-enhanced p-JNK1/2 and p-p38 MAPK expressions and nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65 were also partially inhibited by DGMI.The present study showed that inflammatory responses were triggered in BV2 microglia cells activated by OGD/R,leading to the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and apoptosis.DGMI suppressed the inflammatory response and apoptosis by regulating the TLR/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathways and down-regulation of p-JNK1/2 and p-p38 MAPK activation.展开更多
The Yellow River Estuary(YRE)alternatively experienced channel aggradation and degradation during the period 1990-2016.To study the variation in flood discharge capacity during the process of river bed evolution,bankf...The Yellow River Estuary(YRE)alternatively experienced channel aggradation and degradation during the period 1990-2016.To study the variation in flood discharge capacity during the process of river bed evolution,bankfull characteristic parameters were investigated on the basis of measured hydrological data and surveyed cross-sectional profiles,which was crucial for comprehending the processes and the key factors to cause these rapid changes.A reach-averaged method was presented in this study in order to calculate the characteristic bankfull parameters in the YRE,and this method integrated the geometric mean using the logarithmic transformation with a weighted mean based on the distance between the two successive sections.The reach-averaged bankfull parameters in the tail reach of the Yellow River Estuary(the Lijin-Xihekou reach)during the period 1990-2016 were then calculated.Calculated results indicated that the adoption of a concept of reach-averaged bankfull discharge was much more representative than the cross-sectional bankfull discharge,and the results also indicated that bankfull discharges decreased during the process of channel aggradation,and increased during the process of channel degradation.Finally,an empirical formula and a delayed response function were established between the reach-averaged bankfull discharge and the previous 4-year average fluvial erosion intensity during flood seasons,and both of them were adopted to reproduce the reach-averaged bankfull discharges,and calculated results showed high correlations(R^(2)>0.8)of these two methods.展开更多
Embraced within the framework of crime opportunities integrated with Social Disorganization theory and Broken Windows theory,this paper intends to explore the patterns of four types of acquisitive crimes,using social ...Embraced within the framework of crime opportunities integrated with Social Disorganization theory and Broken Windows theory,this paper intends to explore the patterns of four types of acquisitive crimes,using social media data,i.e.,Twitter,Foursquare and cross-sectional data acquired through text analysis technique.With Greater London as the study area,models like negative binominal regression(NBR)and geographically weighted regression(GWR)are performed to illustrate the aggregated relationships between acquisitive crimes and crime opportunities at London-wide and sub-regional MSOAs levels respectively.The results work towards to hypotheses that:the tweets sentiment could reflect property-related crime rates positively in light of Broken Windows Theory;more tweets with negative sentiment may incur increases in acquisitive crimes.It contributed to existing studies in(1)providing empirical evidence for integrating these three theories;(2)complementing current research on local discrepancies of acquisitive crimes by utilising both GWR and NBR models;(3)challenging the traditional stereotypes about racial disparities with the finding that ethnic heterogeneity and instrumental crimes have counterintuitive association,especially taking education factor into consideration;(4)implicating some localised acquisitive crime prevention strategies to policy makers in light of the reality that the relationship between local variations and different crime types may vary by place.展开更多

文摘Diterpene ginkgolides meglumine injection(DGMI),a kind of Ginkgo biloba special extract injection,is now used for the treatment of ischemic stroke in convalescence.In the present study,we aimed to confirm whether DGMI could suppress inflammatory responses and apoptosis and explore the potential mechanisms underlying these effects.Cell viability and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)release were measured by MTS and LDH assays after the cells were exposed to oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation(OGD/R).The extent of anti-apoptotic effect of DGMI was detected by flow cytometry using Annexin V-FITC/PI double staining assay kit.Pro-inflammatory cytokines,including TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-10,were quantified by a specific Bio-Plex ProTM Reagent Kit.Additionally,activities of TLR2/4,NF-κB p65,MAPK pathway and apoptosis-related proteins as well as cellular localization of NF-κB p65 were determined by Western blotting analysis and immunofluorescence staining,respectively.DGMI at 50μg/mL significantly increased the cell viability and decreased the secretion of IL-1β,IL-6,IL-10 and TNF-αin OGD/R-induced BV2 microglia cells.These effects were also confirmed by LDH assay and Annexin V-FITC/PI staining.Meanwhile,DGMI not only inhibited the protein expressions of TLR2,TLR4,MyD88,p-TAK1,p-IkBα,p-IKKβand Bak,but also decreased the cleaved caspase-3/caspase-3,Bax/Bcl-2 and cleaved PARP-1/PARP-1 ratio in OGD/R-induced BV2 microglia cells.Furthermore,OGD/R-enhanced p-JNK1/2 and p-p38 MAPK expressions and nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65 were also partially inhibited by DGMI.The present study showed that inflammatory responses were triggered in BV2 microglia cells activated by OGD/R,leading to the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and apoptosis.DGMI suppressed the inflammatory response and apoptosis by regulating the TLR/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathways and down-regulation of p-JNK1/2 and p-p38 MAPK activation.

文摘The Yellow River Estuary(YRE)alternatively experienced channel aggradation and degradation during the period 1990-2016.To study the variation in flood discharge capacity during the process of river bed evolution,bankfull characteristic parameters were investigated on the basis of measured hydrological data and surveyed cross-sectional profiles,which was crucial for comprehending the processes and the key factors to cause these rapid changes.A reach-averaged method was presented in this study in order to calculate the characteristic bankfull parameters in the YRE,and this method integrated the geometric mean using the logarithmic transformation with a weighted mean based on the distance between the two successive sections.The reach-averaged bankfull parameters in the tail reach of the Yellow River Estuary(the Lijin-Xihekou reach)during the period 1990-2016 were then calculated.Calculated results indicated that the adoption of a concept of reach-averaged bankfull discharge was much more representative than the cross-sectional bankfull discharge,and the results also indicated that bankfull discharges decreased during the process of channel aggradation,and increased during the process of channel degradation.Finally,an empirical formula and a delayed response function were established between the reach-averaged bankfull discharge and the previous 4-year average fluvial erosion intensity during flood seasons,and both of them were adopted to reproduce the reach-averaged bankfull discharges,and calculated results showed high correlations(R^(2)>0.8)of these two methods.
文摘Embraced within the framework of crime opportunities integrated with Social Disorganization theory and Broken Windows theory,this paper intends to explore the patterns of four types of acquisitive crimes,using social media data,i.e.,Twitter,Foursquare and cross-sectional data acquired through text analysis technique.With Greater London as the study area,models like negative binominal regression(NBR)and geographically weighted regression(GWR)are performed to illustrate the aggregated relationships between acquisitive crimes and crime opportunities at London-wide and sub-regional MSOAs levels respectively.The results work towards to hypotheses that:the tweets sentiment could reflect property-related crime rates positively in light of Broken Windows Theory;more tweets with negative sentiment may incur increases in acquisitive crimes.It contributed to existing studies in(1)providing empirical evidence for integrating these three theories;(2)complementing current research on local discrepancies of acquisitive crimes by utilising both GWR and NBR models;(3)challenging the traditional stereotypes about racial disparities with the finding that ethnic heterogeneity and instrumental crimes have counterintuitive association,especially taking education factor into consideration;(4)implicating some localised acquisitive crime prevention strategies to policy makers in light of the reality that the relationship between local variations and different crime types may vary by place.
