Herein, we report a metal-free C(sp^(2))–H bond functionalization of 1,3-azoles with trifluoroacetylsilanes. The reaction features mild conditions, broad substrate scope and wide functional group tolerance. The mechanistic study supports that the success of the reaction is probably attributed to the dual roles of trifluoroacetylsilanes under the photocatalyzed conditions: generating carbenes which undergo cyclopropanation and generating biradicals which promote ring-opening aromatization of the in situ generated fused cyclopropanes.展开更多
The nitridation reaction of calcium carbide and N_(2) at high temperatures is the key step in the production of lime-nitrogen.However,the challenges faced by this process,such as high energy consumption and poor produ...The nitridation reaction of calcium carbide and N_(2) at high temperatures is the key step in the production of lime-nitrogen.However,the challenges faced by this process,such as high energy consumption and poor product quality,are mainly attributed to the lack of profound understanding of the reaction.This study aimed to improve this process by investigating the non-isothermal kinetics and reaction characteristics of calcium carbide nitridation reaction at different heating rates(10,15,20,and 30℃·min^(-1))using thermogravimetric analysis.The kinetic equation for the nitridation reaction of additive-free calcium carbide sample was obtained by combining model-free methods and model-fitting method.The effect of different calcium-based additives(CaCl_(2) and CaF_(2))on the reaction was also investigated.The results showed that the calcium-based additives significantly reduced reaction temperature and activation energy E_(a) by about 40% with CaF_(2) and by 55%-60% with CaCl_(2).The reaction model f(α)was also changed from contracting volume(R3)to 3-D diffusion models with D3 for CaCl_(2) and D4 for CaF_(2).This study provides valuable information on the mechanism and kinetics of calcium carbide nitridation reaction and new insights into the improvement of the lime-nitrogen process using calcium-based additives.展开更多
A 4×112 Gb/s hybrid-integrated optical receiver is demonstrated based on the silicon-photonic vertical p-i-n photodetector and silicon–germanium transimpedance amplifier.We propose a photonic-electronic co-desig...A 4×112 Gb/s hybrid-integrated optical receiver is demonstrated based on the silicon-photonic vertical p-i-n photodetector and silicon–germanium transimpedance amplifier.We propose a photonic-electronic co-design technique to optimize both the device-level and system-level performance,based on the end-to-end equivalent circuit model of the receiver.Continuous-time linear equalization and shunt peaking are employed to enhance the frequency response.Experimental results reveal that the optical-to-electrical 3-dB bandwidth of the receiver is 48 GHz.Clear open NRZ eye diagrams at56 Gb/s and PAM-4 eye diagrams at 112 Gb/s are achieved without an equalizer in the oscilloscope.The measured bit error rates for 56 Gb/s in NRZ and 112 Gb/s in PAM-4 reach 1×10^(-12)and 2.4×10^(-4)(KP4-FEC:forward error correction)thresholds under-4 dBm input power,respectively.Furthermore,the proposed receiver boasts a power consumption of approximately2.2 pJ/bit,indicating an energy efficient solution for data center traffic growth.展开更多

A novel model was proposed to describe the global and l...In this study, the global and local tensile properties of friction stir welded AA2024 joints were measured with the aid of digital image correlation(DIC) method. A novel model was proposed to describe the global and local constitutive behavior of the joints based on DIC data. Different from conventional division of the zones across the joints, a new reasonable division was proposed, i.e. four zones including central low hardness zone(CLHZ), first heat affected zone(HAZ-I) close to TMAZ, second heat affected zone(HAZ-II)close to base metal(BM) and BM in term of the characteristic distribution of hardness. Results reveal that local true stress-true strain curves are different in each zone of interest. Plastic deformation of the joints is concentrated in CLHZ, where the lowest yield stress and the largest strain appear. Therefore, strain localization and necking occur here in a sequence. In addition, the global true stress-true strain curves and yield stresses at various ratios of the width of CLHZ zone to the gauge length are accurately predicted using the proposed constitutive model of the joints.展开更多
