In the traditional strength reduction method,the cohesion and the friction angle adopt the same reduction parameter,resulting in equivalent proportional reduction.This method does not consider the different effects of...In the traditional strength reduction method,the cohesion and the friction angle adopt the same reduction parameter,resulting in equivalent proportional reduction.This method does not consider the different effects of the cohesion and friction angle on the stability of the same slope and is defective to some extent.Regarding this defect,a strength reduction method based on double reduction parameters,which adopts different reduction parameters,is proposed.The core of the double-parameter reduction method is the matching reduction principle of the slope with different angles.This principle is represented by the ratio of the reduction parameter of the cohesion to that of the friction angle,described as η.With the increase in the slopeangle,ηincreases; in particular,when the slope angle is 45°,tηis 1.0.Through the matching reduction principle,different safety margin factors can be calculated for the cohesion and friction angle.In combination with these two safety margin factors,a formula for calculating the overall safety factor of the slope is proposed,reflecting the different contributions of the cohesion and friction angle to the slope stability.Finally,it is shown that the strength reduction method based on double reduction parameters acquires a larger safety factor than the classic limit equilibrium method,but the calculation results are very close to those obtained by the limit equilibrium method.展开更多

A new double reduction method, including a ...The core of strength reduction method(SRM) involves finding a critical strength curve that happens to make the slope globally fail and a definition of factor of safety(FOS). A new double reduction method, including a detailed calculation procedure and a definition of FOS for slope stability was developed based on the understanding of SRM. When constructing the new definition of FOS, efforts were made to make sure that it has concise physical meanings and fully reflects the shear strength of the slope. Two examples, slopes A and B with the slope angles of 63° and 34° respectively, were given to verify the method presented. It is found that, for these two slopes, the FOSs from original strength reduction method are respectively 1.5% and 38% higher than those from double reduction method. It is also found that the double reduction method predicts a deeper potential slide line and a larger slide mass. These results show that on one hand, the double reduction method is comparative to the traditional methods and is reasonable, and on the other hand, the original strength reduction method may overestimate the safety of a slope. The method presented is advised to be considered as an additional option in the practical slope stability evaluations although more useful experience is required.展开更多
The calculation of the factor of safety(FOS)is an important means of slope evaluation.This paper proposed an improved double strength reductionmethod(DRM)to analyze the safety of layered slopes.The physical properties...The calculation of the factor of safety(FOS)is an important means of slope evaluation.This paper proposed an improved double strength reductionmethod(DRM)to analyze the safety of layered slopes.The physical properties of different soil layers of the slopes are different,so the single coefficient strength reduction method(SRM)is not enough to reflect the actual critical state of the slopes.Considering that the water content of the soil in the natural state is the main factor for the strength of the soil,the attenuation law of shear strength of clayey soil changing with water content is fitted.This paper also establishes the functional relationship between different reduction coefficients.Then,a USDFLD subroutine is programmed using the secondary development function of finite element software.Controlling the relationship between field variables and calculation time realizes double strength reduction applicable to the layered slope.Finally,by comparing the calculation results of different examples,it is proved that the stress and displacement distribution of the critical slope state obtained by the improved method is more realistic,and the calculated safety factor is more reliable.The newly proposedmethod considers the difference of intensity attenuation between different soil layers under natural conditions and avoids the disadvantage of the strength reduction method with uniform parameters,which provides a new idea and method for stability analysis of layered and complex slopes.展开更多

Promoting the online flow of high-quality teacher resources has emerged as an important way to pursue coordinated progress in burden reduction and quality improvement under the"double reduction"policy.Based ...Promoting the online flow of high-quality teacher resources has emerged as an important way to pursue coordinated progress in burden reduction and quality improvement under the"double reduction"policy.Based on the Open Online Tutoring Program of Secondary School Teachers(hereinafter referred to as"the open tutoring program")in City A,China,this study examined the factors influencing teachers'continuance intention to participate in the open tutoring program and their structural relationships,using a structural equation modeling analysis based on 1,159 sample data.The results show that:Firstly,teachers'reputation enhancement,perceived playfulness,perceived usefulness,and perceived ease of use have a positive effect on teachers'continuance intention to participate in online after-school teaching services.Secondly,online teaching efficacy has no direct effect on teachers'continuance intention,but rather impacts their reputation enhancement and beliefs about the value of the open tutoring program.Thirdly,social influence has a positive effect on teachers'reputation.Fourthly,perceived ease of use has a positive effect on teachers'perception of the value of the open tutoring program.In light of the above,relevant suggestions are proposed to encourage teachers to continue participating in online after-school teaching services.展开更多

With the benefit fierce competition in the steel industry market in recent years,double cold reduction products have been developed towards strength improvement and thickness reduction.The traditional cold-rolling lub...With the benefit fierce competition in the steel industry market in recent years,double cold reduction products have been developed towards strength improvement and thickness reduction.The traditional cold-rolling lubrication process with a fixed flow rate and concentration cannot solve the problems,which are uncontrollable plate shape and the excessive consumption of lubricating oil.Moreover,based on the analysis of the traditional direct aplication lubrication system of double cold reduction mill,a set of design scheme suitable for the emulsion pipeline direct mixing lubrication system of double cold reduction mill unit was proposed.The design completed the selection of key components,which included the static mixer and atomization nozzle selection,pump and oil pump design selection,pipeline design selection,flow type selection,pressure gauge selection,electronic control cabinet design selection and other eight aspects.Equipment of the emulsion pipeline direct mixing lubrication system of double cold reduction has been developed.Comparing with characteristics of the traditional direct aplication lubrication system,the emulsion pipeline direct mixing lubrication system was better applied to the production practice of a 1220 double cold reduction mill.The consumption of ton of steel was reduced by 9.6%.The rolling energy consumption and fuel consumption comprehensive costs decreased by 10.7%,and the strip steel section thickness difference was reduced by 19.3%.In addition,the plate shape quality defect rate decreased by 25.6%,otherwise creating a large economic benefit for the unit and promoting the application value.展开更多
Does enrolling children aged 0-3 in early childhood education(ECE)classes continuously empower their learning and development after entering kindergarten?Based on the tracking survey data of 664 children aged 3-6 in 2...Does enrolling children aged 0-3 in early childhood education(ECE)classes continuously empower their learning and development after entering kindergarten?Based on the tracking survey data of 664 children aged 3-6 in 2017 and 367 children aged 3-6 in 2018,this study uses Propensity Score Matching to analyze this issue.The findings reveal that children’s family socioeconomic status is a key factor influencing their participation in ECE classes.The baseline data show that participation in ECE classes does not significantly improve children’s learning and development.However,the follow-up data show that participation in ECE classes plays a significant negative role in motor development for children moving to their second year of kindergarten,but subsequently plays a positive role in language development,health,and safety for those entering their third year of kindergarten.Overall,participation in ECE classes plays no continuous positive role in children’s learning and development after they enter kindergarten.Based on these findings,it is suggested that parents should respect the natural laws of child development instead of blindly following the trend of attending ECE classes,and high-quality parental companionship is crucial.The Chinese government is supposed to implement policies such as“double reduction”to regulate ECE institutions that fail to operate in good faith.展开更多
This study analyzed the effect of primary and secondary school students'on-campus out-of-school-hours(OSH)tutoring participation on private tutoring participation using the two-level Bernoulli model based on the C...This study analyzed the effect of primary and secondary school students'on-campus out-of-school-hours(OSH)tutoring participation on private tutoring participation using the two-level Bernoulli model based on the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)data in 2018.The results revealed that students'on-campus OSH tutoring participation did not decrease the likelihood of their private tutoring participation,while low-achieving students or students from disadvantaged family socioeconomic status(SES)were more likely to continue to participate in private tutoring after receiving OSH tutoring.This may be due to the following:Firstly,on-campus OSH tutoring was less targeted and personalized before the implementation of the"double reduction"policy;secondly,private tutoring institutions conducted misleading marketing and offered private tutoring in the time for on-campus OSH tutoring;and thirdly,students with disadvantaged family SES had fewer opportunities to receive high-quality OSH tutoring.Therefore,it is suggested that concerted efforts be made to provide more targeted and personalized on-campus OSH tutoring and prohibit academic private tutoring institutions from entering campuses.Additionally,it is necessary to enrich the supply of OsH service resources for interest and quality development,optimize the allocation of on-campus OsH tutoring resources,and facilitate the balanced,quality-oriented development of OSH tutoring among different schoolsandregions.展开更多

文摘The calculation of the factor of safety(FOS)is an important means of slope evaluation.This paper proposed an improved double strength reductionmethod(DRM)to analyze the safety of layered slopes.The physical properties of different soil layers of the slopes are different,so the single coefficient strength reduction method(SRM)is not enough to reflect the actual critical state of the slopes.Considering that the water content of the soil in the natural state is the main factor for the strength of the soil,the attenuation law of shear strength of clayey soil changing with water content is fitted.This paper also establishes the functional relationship between different reduction coefficients.Then,a USDFLD subroutine is programmed using the secondary development function of finite element software.Controlling the relationship between field variables and calculation time realizes double strength reduction applicable to the layered slope.Finally,by comparing the calculation results of different examples,it is proved that the stress and displacement distribution of the critical slope state obtained by the improved method is more realistic,and the calculated safety factor is more reliable.The newly proposedmethod considers the difference of intensity attenuation between different soil layers under natural conditions and avoids the disadvantage of the strength reduction method with uniform parameters,which provides a new idea and method for stability analysis of layered and complex slopes.

文摘The conservation laws for the (1+2)-dimensional Zakharov-Kuznetsov modified equal width (ZK-MEW) equation with power law nonlinearity are constructed by using Noether's approach through an interesting method of increasing the order of this equation. With the aid of an obtained conservation law, the generalized double reduction theorem is applied to this equation. It can be shown that the reduced equation is a second order nonlinear ODE. FinaJ1y, some exact solutions for a particular case of this equation are obtained after solving the reduced equation.

文摘It is essential to ensure that teachers allocate adequate attention to homework evaluation and effectively carry it out in order to successfully implement the"double reduction"policy.From the perspective of teachers'attention allocation,this study employed the NVivo 12 software to conduct text analysis on 39 cases of homework evaluation reform practices in primary and secondary schools in City N,China,from 2017 to 2021.The findings indicate that homework evaluation reform in these schools is a practical problem-oriented behavioral decision,and implementing the"double reduction"policy enhances teachers'attention allocation on homework evaluation.The attention allocation of teachers encompasses multiple aspects,such as determining the purpose of evaluation,setting evaluation content,and selecting evaluation subjects and methods.Following the implementation of the"double reduction"policy,teachers allocate more attention to reducing the homework burden on students.However,certain issues persist in the practices of homework evaluation reform,including inadequate consideration of constraints,an unbalanced content structure,and a lack of process coordination.Therefore,under the"double reduction"policy,it is imperative to improve school incentive systems,enhance teachers'evaluation capabilities,and alleviate their workload.These measures can guide teachers to allocate more attention to homework evaluation,thereby enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of attention allocation and fully realizing the educational function of homework evaluation.

文摘Promoting the online flow of high-quality teacher resources has emerged as an important way to pursue coordinated progress in burden reduction and quality improvement under the"double reduction"policy.Based on the Open Online Tutoring Program of Secondary School Teachers(hereinafter referred to as"the open tutoring program")in City A,China,this study examined the factors influencing teachers'continuance intention to participate in the open tutoring program and their structural relationships,using a structural equation modeling analysis based on 1,159 sample data.The results show that:Firstly,teachers'reputation enhancement,perceived playfulness,perceived usefulness,and perceived ease of use have a positive effect on teachers'continuance intention to participate in online after-school teaching services.Secondly,online teaching efficacy has no direct effect on teachers'continuance intention,but rather impacts their reputation enhancement and beliefs about the value of the open tutoring program.Thirdly,social influence has a positive effect on teachers'reputation.Fourthly,perceived ease of use has a positive effect on teachers'perception of the value of the open tutoring program.In light of the above,relevant suggestions are proposed to encourage teachers to continue participating in online after-school teaching services.
文摘Starting with the governing equations in terms of displacements of 3D elastic media, the solutions to displacement components and their first derivatives are obtained by the application of a double Fourier transform and an order reduction method based on the Cayley-Hamilton theorem. Combining the solutions and the constitutive equations which connect the displacements and stresses, the transfer matrix of a single soil layer is acquired. Then, the state space solution to multilayered elastic soils is further obtained by introducing the boundary conditions and continuity conditions between adjacent soil layers. The numerical analysis based on the present theory is carried out, and the vertical displacements of multilayered foundation with a weak and a hard underlying stratums are compared and discussed.

文摘With the benefit fierce competition in the steel industry market in recent years,double cold reduction products have been developed towards strength improvement and thickness reduction.The traditional cold-rolling lubrication process with a fixed flow rate and concentration cannot solve the problems,which are uncontrollable plate shape and the excessive consumption of lubricating oil.Moreover,based on the analysis of the traditional direct aplication lubrication system of double cold reduction mill,a set of design scheme suitable for the emulsion pipeline direct mixing lubrication system of double cold reduction mill unit was proposed.The design completed the selection of key components,which included the static mixer and atomization nozzle selection,pump and oil pump design selection,pipeline design selection,flow type selection,pressure gauge selection,electronic control cabinet design selection and other eight aspects.Equipment of the emulsion pipeline direct mixing lubrication system of double cold reduction has been developed.Comparing with characteristics of the traditional direct aplication lubrication system,the emulsion pipeline direct mixing lubrication system was better applied to the production practice of a 1220 double cold reduction mill.The consumption of ton of steel was reduced by 9.6%.The rolling energy consumption and fuel consumption comprehensive costs decreased by 10.7%,and the strip steel section thickness difference was reduced by 19.3%.In addition,the plate shape quality defect rate decreased by 25.6%,otherwise creating a large economic benefit for the unit and promoting the application value.

文摘Does enrolling children aged 0-3 in early childhood education(ECE)classes continuously empower their learning and development after entering kindergarten?Based on the tracking survey data of 664 children aged 3-6 in 2017 and 367 children aged 3-6 in 2018,this study uses Propensity Score Matching to analyze this issue.The findings reveal that children’s family socioeconomic status is a key factor influencing their participation in ECE classes.The baseline data show that participation in ECE classes does not significantly improve children’s learning and development.However,the follow-up data show that participation in ECE classes plays a significant negative role in motor development for children moving to their second year of kindergarten,but subsequently plays a positive role in language development,health,and safety for those entering their third year of kindergarten.Overall,participation in ECE classes plays no continuous positive role in children’s learning and development after they enter kindergarten.Based on these findings,it is suggested that parents should respect the natural laws of child development instead of blindly following the trend of attending ECE classes,and high-quality parental companionship is crucial.The Chinese government is supposed to implement policies such as“double reduction”to regulate ECE institutions that fail to operate in good faith.

文摘This study analyzed the effect of primary and secondary school students'on-campus out-of-school-hours(OSH)tutoring participation on private tutoring participation using the two-level Bernoulli model based on the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)data in 2018.The results revealed that students'on-campus OSH tutoring participation did not decrease the likelihood of their private tutoring participation,while low-achieving students or students from disadvantaged family socioeconomic status(SES)were more likely to continue to participate in private tutoring after receiving OSH tutoring.This may be due to the following:Firstly,on-campus OSH tutoring was less targeted and personalized before the implementation of the"double reduction"policy;secondly,private tutoring institutions conducted misleading marketing and offered private tutoring in the time for on-campus OSH tutoring;and thirdly,students with disadvantaged family SES had fewer opportunities to receive high-quality OSH tutoring.Therefore,it is suggested that concerted efforts be made to provide more targeted and personalized on-campus OSH tutoring and prohibit academic private tutoring institutions from entering campuses.Additionally,it is necessary to enrich the supply of OsH service resources for interest and quality development,optimize the allocation of on-campus OsH tutoring resources,and facilitate the balanced,quality-oriented development of OSH tutoring among different schoolsandregions.

文摘The"double reduction"policy has shown initial success over the past three years.However,parents and off-campus training institutions continue to influence the policy implementation significantly.Aiming to investigate the correlation between private tutoring and academic performance,as well as identify key moderating variables,this study conducted a meta-analysis on 21 primary studies,encompassing 54 independent samples,79 effect sizes,and 242,601 participants.The findings revealed a low correlation between private tutoring and the academic performance of students.The impact of private tutoring on academic performance was insignificant after the application of the trim-and-fill method.Among the nine moderating variables analyzed,student gender,educational stage,family socioeconomic status(SES),region,tutoring subject,tutoring duration,and type of tutoring class did not significantly influence the effectiveness of private tutoring.The conclusions clarify the common one-sided perceptions people have about the role of private tutoring,offering new insights for education policymakers,researchers,teachers,parents,and students.
