This paper aims to design an optimized blade for Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine(HWAT).Since airfoil is a basic component of blade design,an optimized airfoil(referred as SJX)was proposed based on the line theory through...This paper aims to design an optimized blade for Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine(HWAT).Since airfoil is a basic component of blade design,an optimized airfoil(referred as SJX)was proposed based on the line theory through the weight analogy to pressure distribution of air flow.Its lift,drag,lift⁃to⁃drag ratio were compared with those NACA2409⁃34,NACA2410,and RK40 airfoils by using Profili software at fixed wind velocity and under different angles of attack.The NACA2409⁃34 airfoil was found to be greatly similar with the SJX airfoil.Based on the Wilson method,blades using SJX and NACA2490⁃34 airfoils were developed and different performance parameters such as velocity distribution,pressure distribution,and power were compared under variable wind velocities and different angles of attack ranging from-4°to 6°at different radius from the center of rotor using computational fluid dynamics(CFD)in ANSYS FLUENT.Results of the study suggested that the performance of the SJX based airfoil and blade was much more optimized.展开更多

The magnetic diffusion partial differential equation (PDE) models the dynamics of the poloidal magnetic flux profile, which is used in this work to formulate a PDE-constrained op- timization problem under a quasi-static assumption. The minimum surface theory and constrained numeric optimization are then applied to achieve suboptimal solutions. Since the transient dy- namics is pre-given by the minimum surface theory, then this method can dramatically accelerate the solution process. In order to be robust under external uncertainties in real implementations, PID (proportional-integral-derivative) controllers are used to force the actuators to follow the computational input trajectories. It has the potential to implement in real-time for long time discharges by combining this method with the magnetic equilibrium update.展开更多
Atomic radiative data such as excitation energies, transition wavelengths, radiative rates, and level lifetimes with high precision are the essential parameters for the abundance analysis, simulation, and diagnostics ...Atomic radiative data such as excitation energies, transition wavelengths, radiative rates, and level lifetimes with high precision are the essential parameters for the abundance analysis, simulation, and diagnostics in fusion and astrophysical plasmas. In this work, we mainly focus on reviewing our two projects performed in the past decade. One is about the ions with Z■30 that are generally of astrophysical interest, and the other one is about the highly charged krypton(Z = 36)and tungsten(Z = 74) ions that are relevant in research of magnetic confinement fusion. Two different and independent methods, namely, multiconfiguration Dirac–Hartree–Fock(MCDHF) and the relativistic many-body perturbation theory(RMBPT) are usually used in our studies. As a complement/extension to our previous works for highly charged tungsten ions with open M-shell and open N-shell, we also mainly focus on presenting and discussing our complete RMBPT and MCDHF calculations for the excitation energies, wavelengths, electric dipole(E1), magnetic dipole(M1), electric quadrupole(E2), and magnetic quadrupole(M2) transition properties, and level lifetimes for the lowest 148 levels belonging to the 3l3configurations in Al-like W61+. We also summarize the uncertainties of our systematical theoretical calculations, by cross-checking/validating our datasets from our RMBPT and MCDHF calculations, and by detailed comparisons with available accurate observations and other theoretical calculations. However, the existing mach...The current research of processing large size fabrication holes on complex spatial curved surface mainly focuses on the CNC flame cutting machines design for ship hull of ship manufacturing. However, the existing machines cannot meet the continuous cutting requirements with variable pass conditions through their fixed configuration, and cannot realize high-precision processing as the accuracy theory is not studied adequately. This paper deals with structure design and accuracy prediction technology of novel machine tools for solving the problem of continuous and high-precision cutting. The needed variable trajectory and variable pose kinematic characteristics of non-contact cutting tool are figured out and a metamorphic CNC flame cutting machine designed through metamorphic principle is presented. To analyze kinematic accuracy of the machine, models of joint clearances, manufacturing tolerances and errors in the input variables and error models considering the combined effects are derived based on screw theory after establishing ideal kinematic models. Numerical simulations, processing experiment and trajectory tracking experiment are conducted relative to an eccentric hole with bevels on cylindrical surface respectively. The results of cutting pass contour and kinematic error interval which the position error is from –0.975 mm to +0.628 mm and orientation error is from –0.01 rad to +0.01 rad indicate that the developed machine can complete cutting process continuously and effectively, and the established kinematic error models are effective although the interval is within a ‘large' range. It also shows the matching property between metamorphic principle and variable working tasks, and the mapping correlation between original designing parameters and kinematic errors of machines. This research develops a metamorphic CNC flame cutting machine and establishes kinematic error models for accuracy analysis of machine tools.展开更多

The bias results in low-accuracy atmospheric temperature and humidity profiles simulated by Back Propagation artificial neural network models. This paper evaluated a retrieving atmospheric temperature and humidity profiles method by adopting an input data adjustment-based Back Propagation artificial neural networks model. First, the sounding data acquired at a Nanjing meteorological site in June 2014 were inputted into the Mono RTM Radiative transfer model to simulate atmospheric downwelling radiance at the 22 spectral channels from 22.234 GHz to 58.8 GHz, and we performed a comparison and analysis of the real observed data; an adjustment model for the measured microwave radiometer sounding data was built. Second, we simulated the sounding data of the 22 channels using the sounding data acquired at the site from 2011 to 2013. Based on the simulated rightness temperature data and the sounding data, BP neural network-based models were trained for the retrieval of atmospheric temperature, water vapor density and relative humidity profiles. Finally, we applied the adjustment model to the microwave radiometer sounding data collected in July 2014, generating the corrected data. After that, we inputted the corrected data into the BP neural network regression model to predict the atmospheric temperature, vapor density and relative humidity profile at 58 high levels from 0 to 10 km. We evaluated our model's effect by comparing its output with the real measured data and the microwave radiometer's own second-level product. The experiments showed that the inversion model improves atmospheric temperature and humidity profile retrieval accuracy; the atmospheric temperature RMS error is between 1 K and 2.0 K; the water vapor density's RMS error is between 0.2 g/m^3 and 1.93 g/m3; and the relative humidity's RMS error is between 2.5% and 18.6%.展开更多

In order to analyze the contact stiffness and linear errors or angle errors of BLGFU,in this paper,the contact stress and deformation mechanics between the ball and rail is analyzed. Based on Hertz theory of contact and theory of the multi-body system,a model of the contact stiffness considering the changes in contact angle is established. With the increasing of the external load,the varying trend of the contact deformation can be obtained. Therefore, the motion accuracy degradation of the BLGFU can be analyzed. By using a special experimental device and test system of the rolling linear guide worktable,the horizontal contact stiffness and the vertical linear stiffness are obtained,respectively. By comparing the contact stiffness of the experiment dates and the simulation results,the variation tendency of two curves is consisted and the difference between the measured values and the theoretical values is less than 18%. It is obvious that the model of the contact stiffness considering changes of contact angle has accuracy and feasibility. Thus,while external force point locating at different positions; the contact stiffness and the accuracy analysis of the BLGFU are proved validity by simulations.展开更多

However, some design variables are inherently interval parameters due to uncertainties in geometric structures, material properties, and so on. This paper presents Chebyshev inclusion function(CIF) for approximating the dynamic responses function of parametrically excited systems. Motion accuracy reliability(MAR) of space manipulators was evaluated based on mechanism reliability analysis methods and interval uncertainty model. To illustrate the accuracy of the proposed method, a two-link manipulator with interval parameters was demonstrated. The results showed that the proposed method required much fewer samples to obtain more accurate reliability compared with the traditional Monte Carlo simulation(MCS). Finally, the sensitivity analysis was performed to facilitate the optimization design by using global sensitivity analysis.展开更多

In order to provide wind profiles for the microscale numerical simulation of wind farm with complex terrain,using the 100 m tower atmospheric turbulence observation experiment data in 2010 in Hebei Province offered by...In order to provide wind profiles for the microscale numerical simulation of wind farm with complex terrain,using the 100 m tower atmospheric turbulence observation experiment data in 2010 in Hebei Province offered by National Climate Center, the variation characteristics of wind profile under the different atmospheric stability conditions are analyzed, and the wind profile expression based on the local similarity theory is established. The results show that:(1) In spring, the occurrence probability of unstable stratification in the Hebei coastal area is as high as 28%, and the probability of stable stratification is more than 43% while, in summer, the probability of occurrence of unstable stratification is as high as 80% with a lower probability for stable stratification; and(2) for stable stratification, the characteristics of atmosphere change is dramatic in terms of the vertical direction, which need to be treated layer by layer.According to the atmospheric turbulence observation experiment data above, under stable stratification, the relationship between the dimensionless velocity gradient and the stability ζ can be expressed as 1 +βmζ, with βm changing with the height: βm takes 4.1-4.3 under 30 m, βm takes 4.6-4.7 between 30-50 m, and βm takes 6.3-6.7 over 50 m.展开更多

Using the Creep theory of Cater and V-J theory, adhesive area and micro-slip area in the contact area are analyzed. It is considered that micro-adhesion wear of micro convex body in the slip area is the main reason for accuracy degradation of a linear ball guide pair. And, the characteristics of the contact area between ball and raceway of slider are characterized using the fractal function. Fractal parameters are obtained using the least squares fitting double logarithmic graph structure function. Considering the lubrication condition between the ball and rail of slider, stress analysis is carried out on the adhesive area. A fractal-creep model of contact surfaces is established in the micro-slip region. The fractal parameters of a certain guide rail are measured, and the wear degradation process of linear rolling guide is simulated. Finally, the relationship between wear and relative tangential velocity, normal load and running mileage of linear ball guide is obtained.展开更多

It is shown that the enrichment of beads near surfaces is happened at high densities due to the bulk packing effect, on the contrary, the depletion is revealed at low densities owing to the configurational entropic contribution. Comparisons with those calculated by density functional theory presented by Cai et al. indicate that the agreement between simulations and predictions is good. Compressibility factors of bulk HSCFs calculated using volume fractions at surfaces were also used to test the reliability of various equations of state of HSCFs by different authors.展开更多

Finally, we applied the adjustment model to the microwave radiometer sounding data collected in July 2014, generating the corrected data. After that, we inputted the corrected data into the BP neural network regression model to predict the atmospheric temperature, vapor density and relative humidity profile at 58 high levels from 0 to 10 km. We evaluated our model's effect by comparing its output with the real measured data and the microwave radiometer's own second-level product. The experiments showed that the inversion model improves atmospheric temperature and humidity profile retrieval accuracy; the atmospheric temperature RMS error is between 1 K and 2.0 K; the water vapor density's RMS error is between 0.2 g/m^3 and 1.93 g/m3; and the relative humidity's RMS error is between 2.5% and 18.6%.

文摘The contact stiffness and the error analysis have an important effect on the manufacture and the optimization of Ball Linear Guide Feed Unit( BLGFU). In order to analyze the contact stiffness and linear errors or angle errors of BLGFU,in this paper,the contact stress and deformation mechanics between the ball and rail is analyzed. Based on Hertz theory of contact and theory of the multi-body system,a model of the contact stiffness considering the changes in contact angle is established. With the increasing of the external load,the varying trend of the contact deformation can be obtained. Therefore, the motion accuracy degradation of the BLGFU can be analyzed. By using a special experimental device and test system of the rolling linear guide worktable,the horizontal contact stiffness and the vertical linear stiffness are obtained,respectively. By comparing the contact stiffness of the experiment dates and the simulation results,the variation tendency of two curves is consisted and the difference between the measured values and the theoretical values is less than 18%. It is obvious that the model of the contact stiffness considering changes of contact angle has accuracy and feasibility. Thus,while external force point locating at different positions; the contact stiffness and the accuracy analysis of the BLGFU are proved validity by simulations.

文摘Motion accuracy of space manipulators has direct effects on the ability of the systems to perform specified tasks. However, some design variables are inherently interval parameters due to uncertainties in geometric structures, material properties, and so on. This paper presents Chebyshev inclusion function(CIF) for approximating the dynamic responses function of parametrically excited systems. Motion accuracy reliability(MAR) of space manipulators was evaluated based on mechanism reliability analysis methods and interval uncertainty model. To illustrate the accuracy of the proposed method, a two-link manipulator with interval parameters was demonstrated. The results showed that the proposed method required much fewer samples to obtain more accurate reliability compared with the traditional Monte Carlo simulation(MCS). Finally, the sensitivity analysis was performed to facilitate the optimization design by using global sensitivity analysis.

文摘An active design method of tooth profiles for cycloid gears based on their meshing efficiency is proposed.This method takes the meshing efficiency as one of the design variables to determine the tooth profiles.The calculation method for the meshing efficiency of planetary transmission is analyzed and the equation of the meshing efficiency is deduced.Relationships between the meshing efficiency,the radius of the pin wheel and the eccentric distance are revealed.The design constraint quations and the strength constraint quations are deduced.On the basis of this,a design procedure is laid out.Some examples using different input parameters are conducted to demonstrate the feasibility of the approach.A dynamic simulation of the rigid flexible coupling of cycloid gears is also presented.The results show that the proposed design method is more flexible to control the tooth profiles by changing the input values of the transmission efficiency.

文摘In order to provide wind profiles for the microscale numerical simulation of wind farm with complex terrain,using the 100 m tower atmospheric turbulence observation experiment data in 2010 in Hebei Province offered by National Climate Center, the variation characteristics of wind profile under the different atmospheric stability conditions are analyzed, and the wind profile expression based on the local similarity theory is established. The results show that:(1) In spring, the occurrence probability of unstable stratification in the Hebei coastal area is as high as 28%, and the probability of stable stratification is more than 43% while, in summer, the probability of occurrence of unstable stratification is as high as 80% with a lower probability for stable stratification; and(2) for stable stratification, the characteristics of atmosphere change is dramatic in terms of the vertical direction, which need to be treated layer by layer.According to the atmospheric turbulence observation experiment data above, under stable stratification, the relationship between the dimensionless velocity gradient and the stability ζ can be expressed as 1 +βmζ, with βm changing with the height: βm takes 4.1-4.3 under 30 m, βm takes 4.6-4.7 between 30-50 m, and βm takes 6.3-6.7 over 50 m.

文摘Based on Hertz contact theory, contact area parameters between ball and raceway are calculated. Using the Creep theory of Cater and V-J theory, adhesive area and micro-slip area in the contact area are analyzed. It is considered that micro-adhesion wear of micro convex body in the slip area is the main reason for accuracy degradation of a linear ball guide pair. And, the characteristics of the contact area between ball and raceway of slider are characterized using the fractal function. Fractal parameters are obtained using the least squares fitting double logarithmic graph structure function. Considering the lubrication condition between the ball and rail of slider, stress analysis is carried out on the adhesive area. A fractal-creep model of contact surfaces is established in the micro-slip region. The fractal parameters of a certain guide rail are measured, and the wear degradation process of linear rolling guide is simulated. Finally, the relationship between wear and relative tangential velocity, normal load and running mileage of linear ball guide is obtained.

文摘Covering a wide range of bulk densities, density profiles for hard-sphere chain fluids (HSCFs) with chain length of 3,4,8,20,32 and 64 confined between two surfaces were obtained by Monte Carlo simulations using extended continuum configurational-bias (ECCB) method. It is shown that the enrichment of beads near surfaces is happened at high densities due to the bulk packing effect, on the contrary, the depletion is revealed at low densities owing to the configurational entropic contribution. Comparisons with those calculated by density functional theory presented by Cai et al. indicate that the agreement between simulations and predictions is good. Compressibility factors of bulk HSCFs calculated using volume fractions at surfaces were also used to test the reliability of various equations of state of HSCFs by different authors.
