Methods: A prospec...Objective: To investigate the influence of integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment on the quality of life and laboratory indicators of patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19). Methods: A prospective, self-controlled study was conducted to analyze the changes in corresponding laboratory indicators and quality of life in 75 confirmed COVID-19 patients treated with integrated Chinese and Western medicine in our hospital during the early stage, middle stage, recovery period, and two weeks after discharge. The effectiveness and safety of the treatment regimen were evaluated in conjunction with the time for 2019-nCoV nucleic acid conversion, disease progression, and adverse reactions. Results: The PLT levels in the initial stage were significantly lower than those in the recovery period in 75 patients. The CRP levels in the initial stage were significantly lower than those after discharge for 2 weeks. The TBIL, IBTL, and DHIL levels in the initial stage were significantly lower than those in the middle stage. The K+ levels in the initial stage were significantly lower than those in the recovery period and after discharge for 2 weeks. The LYMGH levels in the initial stage were significantly lower than those in the recovery period and after discharge for 2 weeks. The TP and ALB levels in the initial stage were higher than those in the middle stage and the recovery period. The LDH levels, scores of daily activity limitation, scores of respiratory distress symptoms, scores of psychological emotions, CT imaging scores, and positive rate of nucleic acid were significantly lower than those in the recovery period and after discharge for 2 weeks. The AG, CK, CK-MB, and α-HBDH levels in the initial stage were significantly higher than those in the recovery period. BACKGROUND Rheumatic heart disease(RHD)is an autoimmune disease that leads to irreversible valve damage and heart failure.Surgery is an effective treatment;however,it is invasive and carries risks,restricting its broa...BACKGROUND Rheumatic heart disease(RHD)is an autoimmune disease that leads to irreversible valve damage and heart failure.Surgery is an effective treatment;however,it is invasive and carries risks,restricting its broad application.Therefore,it is essential to find alternative nonsurgical treatments for RHD.CASE SUMMARY A 57-year-old woman was assessed with cardiac color Doppler ultrasound,left heart function tests,and tissue Doppler imaging evaluation at Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University.The results showed mild mitral valve stenosis with mild to moderate mitral and aortic regurgitation,confirming a diagnosis of rheumatic valve disease.After her symptoms became severe,with frequent ventricular tachycardia and supraventricular tachycardia>200 beats per minute,her physicians recommended surgery.During a 10-day preoperative waiting period,the patient asked to be treated with traditional Chinese medicine.After 1 week of this treatment,her symptoms improved significantly,including resolution of the ventricular tachycardia,and the surgery was postponed pending further follow-up.At 3-month follow-up,color Doppler ultrasound showed mild mitral valve stenosis with mild mitral and aortic regurgitation.Therefore,it was determined that no surgical treatment was required.CONCLUSION Traditional Chinese medicine treatment effectively relieves symptoms of RHD,particularly mitral valve stenosis and mitral and aortic regurgitation.展开更多

Objective:Guided by the theory of syndrome differentiation of yin and yang in traditional Chinese medicine surgery,through visual observation of internal medicine thoracoscope,comprehensive observation of pleural cavi...Objective:Guided by the theory of syndrome differentiation of yin and yang in traditional Chinese medicine surgery,through visual observation of internal medicine thoracoscope,comprehensive observation of pleural cavity and immunohistochemistry of biopsy tissue,to classify malignant pleural effusion according to syndrome differentiation,and to explore the scientific nature of its theory.Methods:From March 1,2014 to February 28,2015,40 cases of malignant pleural effusion were treated in Beijing Chaoyang Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University.According to the proposed TCM diagnostic criteria for yin and yang syndrome differentiation,and collect age,gender,course of disease,clinical symptoms,tumor primary focus,histomorphological manifestations and immunohistochemical results and other related information,and carry out statistical data processing.Results:The positive syndrome was mainly metastatic lung adenocarcinoma,which accounted for the majority of all MPE cases,up to 75%.The immunohistochemical results of biopsy tissues were mainly CEA and TTF-1 positive;While pleural effusion caused by pleural mesothelioma was the main type of yin syndrome,and the results of immunohistochemistry combined with biopsy were mainly positive for D2-40,Calretinin,WT-1 and CK5/6.Conclusion:TCM syndrome differentiation of MPE based on internal thoracoscopy combined with biopsy immunohistochemical results has sufficient theoretical basis and certain scientific nature,and further clinical research is needed to verify its effectiveness and practicability in the future.展开更多

文摘In order to fully understand the research progress of Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of perimenopausal abnormal uterine bleeding,this paper reviews all kinds of research by referring to related literature reports at home and abroad.The results showed that western medicine mainly used hormone drugs,supplemented by surgery,but the clinical adverse reactions were more and the recurrence rate was higher;traditional Chinese medicine often obtained satisfactory results through the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,syndrome differentiation,stage treatment,acupuncture and other treatment methods,with fewer adverse reactions and low recurrence rate,but the effect of sudden collapse and hemostasis was slower;the combination of Chinese and Western medicine can learn from each other and become The research focus in recent years is worthy of further discussion.

文摘Background:The incidence of obesity is increasing each year,and is often accompanied by multi-system metabolic disorders,typically chronic diseases and multi-disease superposition disease states.Metabolic surgery is an important treatment option for patients with extreme obesity;however,surgical difficulties and perioperative complications are more serious in these patients.Therefore,there is an urgent need for a new comprehensive diagnosis and treatment model to reduce the weight of patients prior to surgery,subsequently reducing the risks of surgery.Case summary:This model combines traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),external TCM treatment,and health management with western technique of metabolic surgery.Obesity is recognized and treated by multidisciplinary,multi-channel,and multi-means,constituting an innovative diagnosis and treatment model of obesity in integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.The application of this model in the treatment of a patient with extreme obesity having multiple systemic diseases is described herein.Conclusion:The integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine obesity diagnosis and treatment model can be used for precise syndrome differentiation,individualized treatment,and follow-up management of patients with extreme obesity,with strong scalability and significant clinical efficacy.

文摘In recent years,the frequency of clinical occurrence of abnormal uterine bleeding in adolescence has gradually increased.In order to fully understand the research progress in the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding in adolescence,various studies and clinical experience have been reviewed by consulting related literature reports.The results found that currently Western medicine mainly uses hormone drugs in clinical treatment,but there are risks such as more clinical adverse reactions and higher recurrence rate;traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)treatment has achieved satisfactory results,but the advantages of sudden collapse and hemostasis are not obvious.Combined TCM and Western medicine treatment,it can learn from each other and has become a research hotspot in recent years,which is worthy of an in-depth discussion.
文摘Objective:Guided by the theory of syndrome differentiation of yin and yang in traditional Chinese medicine surgery,through visual observation of internal medicine thoracoscope,comprehensive observation of pleural cavity and immunohistochemistry of biopsy tissue,to classify malignant pleural effusion according to syndrome differentiation,and to explore the scientific nature of its theory.Methods:From March 1,2014 to February 28,2015,40 cases of malignant pleural effusion were treated in Beijing Chaoyang Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University.According to the proposed TCM diagnostic criteria for yin and yang syndrome differentiation,and collect age,gender,course of disease,clinical symptoms,tumor primary focus,histomorphological manifestations and immunohistochemical results and other related information,and carry out statistical data processing.Results:The positive syndrome was mainly metastatic lung adenocarcinoma,which accounted for the majority of all MPE cases,up to 75%.The immunohistochemical results of biopsy tissues were mainly CEA and TTF-1 positive;While pleural effusion caused by pleural mesothelioma was the main type of yin syndrome,and the results of immunohistochemistry combined with biopsy were mainly positive for D2-40,Calretinin,WT-1 and CK5/6.Conclusion:TCM syndrome differentiation of MPE based on internal thoracoscopy combined with biopsy immunohistochemical results has sufficient theoretical basis and certain scientific nature,and further clinical research is needed to verify its effectiveness and practicability in the future.

文摘Due to the special perianal location,anorectal diseases are prone to form chronic refractory wounds after surgery,with Qi(气)deficiency and blood stasis as the main cause.As a classical theory in TCM medicine,"simmering pus and forming flesh"attaches great importance to harmonizing Qi and blood in the wound healing period,which gradually achieves significant efficacy in clinical application after anorectal disease surgery.Literatures in recent years on"simmering pus and forming flesh"method being applied to postoperative wound healing in all kinds of anorectal diseases(such as anal fistula,perianal abscess,anal fissure,mixed hemorrhoid,etc.)were reviewed,and advantages and characteristics of its clinical efficacy in anorectal diseases were summarized,so as to provide reference for postoperative wound healing and repair treatment in anorectal diseases.
文摘Radiotherapy is a common treatment for abdominal and pelvic malignancies with bone metastases.However,some patients develop radiation enteritis(RE)during the treatment or 2 months or more after the treatment,which seriously affects their quality of life.At present,the curative effect of western medicine is poor.Professor Renting Li believes that radiation kills tumor cells but at the same time,it damages the healthy Qi of the human body.Radiation causes heat and poison to accumulate in the intestinal tract,consumes and hurts Yin fluid,bums the vein,leads to deficiency of healthy Qi and poor detoxification,as well as cause blood stasis after a period of time.All these result in the combination of heat,blood stasis,and poison,manifesting as abdominal pain,diarrhea,mucus in stools,purulent and bloody stools,etc.Therefore,Professor Renting Li proposed the use of traditional Chinese medicine retention enema combined with oral traditional Chinese medicine to reduce symptoms,remove toxins,and improve the quality of life of patients.
