Skilled talents are the main support for the strategic development of science and technology in China.The quality of talents is an important guarantee for the transformation and upgrading of national industries.By analyzing and studying Huang Yanpei’s thought on vocational education,this paper focuses on the cultivation of students’craftsmanship in vocational schools.First,we analyze the results of previous research and then elaborate on the connotations of Huang Yanpei’s education thought and craftsmanship spirit.Lastly,we propose five suggestions for the cultivation of craftsmanship.Our research work carries certain reference value to the study of craftsmanship cultivation in Huang Yanpei’s education thought. 展开更多

Kindergarten teachers' growth is the unity of continuity and discontinuity. "Crisis", "encounter", "awaking" and "exhortation" all can break off the continuity of professional growth of kindergarten teachers, put kindergarten teachers' growth into the stage of discontinuity, promote the kindergarten teachers to make a positive self adjustment in shocks, and open up a new stage for kindergarten teachers' growth. In order to promote kindergarten teachers' active self adjustment in shock, and impel kindergarten teachers to step out oftheir"comfort zone", preschool teachers should try their best to overcome the tendency of"comfort zone" and strengthen the spirit of reflection. Purpose:This study reviews China’s labor education theories and policies to reveal the main objectives,contents,and methods of the new era,as well as analyzes future development in labor education.Design/Approach/Methods:In addition to reviewing the relevant labor education theories,this study examines China’s labor education policies using historical documents and current policy texts.Marxist and traditional approaches to labor education,as well as the historical development of education in China,provide the macroscopic backdrop of this study’s analysis of the persistence and innovativeness of China’s labor education policies.Findings:China’s labor education policy has placed labor education on the same level as that in morality,intellect,sports,and aesthetics,thereby endowing labor education with new meaning.Labor education seeks to cultivate workers with all-round physical and mental development.Becoming more varied over time,labor education now involves the cultivation of skills,technological capacities,creative thinking,labor habits,and emotional development.Approaches and methods include formal programs and teaching,education in daily life at home and school,as well as practical activities outside of school.Originality/Value:This study identifies the meaning of labor education in different eras and analyzes the objectives,contents,and methods of China’s current policies on labor education,as well as its future developmental trends.In doing so,this study provides a useful reference for the implementation of labor education in elementary and middle schools. 展开更多

This paper discusses and explores the development of the LSE and its interaction with the society in mainly three historical periods. On ... Library Science Education(LSE) in China has undergone almost one hundred years. This paper discusses and explores the development of the LSE and its interaction with the society in mainly three historical periods. On one hand, this paper analyzes the influences of the social, economic, political, educational, cultural, and scientific and technological environments on LSE’s system, scale, thought, mode, and content from a theoretical perspective;on the other hand, it points out that the LSE promoted and supported the development of the society through cultivating talents and disseminating knowledge. LSE had cultivated a number of outstanding professionals during the period of Republic of China(1911-1949). However, due to the lack of a good interaction with the society, the development of LSE was constrained by the social environment in this period. From 1950 to 1977, the development of the LSE was still relatively slow in spite of the improved social environment in China. From 1978 to present, the LSE has made remarkable contributions to the Chinese society as a result of fundamental social changes in China. This paper proposes that, in order to establish a good interaction between the LSE and the society in China, it is necessary to ensure the unity of self-independence and social dependence, instrument rationality and value rationality, dynamism and stability of the LSE. 展开更多
