Ultraviolet-visible spectro...This study was to investigate the decoloration effects of activated clay, activated carbon, diatomite, Ca group bentonite, kaolin, activated aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide and attapulgite. Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopywas adopted to de- tect the absorbanees of the extracts of Schisandra chinensis fruit and rattan stems, the contents of total triterpenoids in S. chinensis fruit and rattan stems were deter- mined, and the decoloration rate and the retention rate of total triterpenoids of S. chi- nensis fruit and rattan stems were calculated. The results indicated that, attapulgite exhibited the best decoloration effect on the extract of S. chinensis fruit, with a de- coloration rate up to 60.47%, activated carbon exhibited a better decoloration effect on the extract of S. chinensis rattan stems, with a decoloration rate up to 69.24%, and they had relatively higher retention rates of total triterpenoids. In the eight de- colorants, attapulgite showed the best decoloration effect on the extract of S. chi- nensis fruit, and activated carbon exhibited the best decoloration effect on the ex- tract of S. chinensisrattan stems.展开更多
In order to improve the accuracy of used car price prediction,a machine learning prediction model based on the retention rate is proposed in this paper.Firstly,a random forest algorithm is used to filter the variables...In order to improve the accuracy of used car price prediction,a machine learning prediction model based on the retention rate is proposed in this paper.Firstly,a random forest algorithm is used to filter the variables in the data.Seven main characteristic variables that affect used car prices,such as new car price,service time,mileage and so on,are filtered out.Then,the linear regression classification method is introduced to classify the test data into high and low retention rate data.After that,the extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)regression model is built for the two datasets respectively.The prediction results show that the comprehensive evaluation index of the proposed model is 0.548,which is significantly improved compared to 0.488 of the original XGBoost model.Finally,compared with other representative machine learning algorithms,this model shows certain advantages in terms of mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),5%accuracy rate and comprehensive evaluation index.As a result,the retention rate-based machine learning model established in this paper has significant advantages in terms of the accuracy of used car price prediction.展开更多
The effects of age,body weight(BW),and backfat thickness(BF)of replacement gilts at first estrus and first mating on their subsequent reproductive performance and retention of their first 2 parities as sows was evalua...The effects of age,body weight(BW),and backfat thickness(BF)of replacement gilts at first estrus and first mating on their subsequent reproductive performance and retention of their first 2 parities as sows was evaluated.A total of 3,025 Danish replacement gilts were categorized by farm(allocated to 4 farms),cross combination,age,BW and BF at first estrus and first mating,estrous cycle number at first mating,and flush feeding before first mating.The result shows that all the factors mentioned above were significantly associated with reproductive performance and retention rates of the first 2 parities.Farm 3 had more piglets born alive per litter(BA)(P<0.05).Farms 3 and 4 had more healthy piglets per litter(HP)(P<0.05).Farm 4 had the most piglets weaned per litter(PW)(P<0.05).Landrace×Landrace×Yorkshire(L×L×Y)replacement gilts had the most total piglets born per litter(TB),BA,HP,PW and a higher retention rate of the 2 parities than Landrace×Yorkshire(L×Y)replacement gilts(P<0.05).In addition,flush feeding before first mating had the most TB,BA,HP,PW,and a higher retention rate of the 2 parities than no flush feeding(P<0.05).Because the effects of replacement gilts rearing parameters on reproductive performance traits differed,we used 100 replacement gilts as a unit and the total number of weaned piglets from the first 2 parities as a new index.Replacement gilts undergoing their first estrus between 180 and 210 d of age at 115 to 124.9 kg BW and 14 to 15 mm BF had significantly higher reproductive indexes for their first 2 parities per 100 replacement gilts.Replacement gilts that mated between 210 and 230 d of age at 140 to 149.9 kg BW and 15 to 16 mm BF had optimal reproductive indexes.These results provide a new insight into the complex relationships among these reproductive performance traits and may help guide successful management of replacement gilts as a pivotal starting point for future fertility and longevity of rearing herds.展开更多
Research on reservoir rock stress sensitivity has traditionally focused on unary granular structures,neglecting the binary nature of real reservoirs,especially tight reservoirs.Understanding the stresssensitive behavi...Research on reservoir rock stress sensitivity has traditionally focused on unary granular structures,neglecting the binary nature of real reservoirs,especially tight reservoirs.Understanding the stresssensitive behavior and mathematical characterization of binary granular media remains a challenging task.In this study,we conducted online-NMR experiments to investigate the permeability and porosity evolution as well as stress-sensitive control mechanisms in tight sandy conglomerate samples.The results revealed stress sensitivity coefficients between 0.042 and 0.098 and permeability damage rates ranging from 65.6%to 90.9%,with an average pore compression coefficient of 0.0168—0.0208 MPa 1.Pore-scale compression occurred in three stages:filling,compression,and compaction,with matrix pores playing a dominant role in pore compression.The stress sensitivity of binary granular media was found to be influenced by the support structure and particle properties.High stress sensitivity was associated with small fine particle size,high fines content,high uniformity coefficient of particle size,high plastic deformation,and low Young's modulus.Matrix-supported samples exhibited a high irreversible permeability damage rate(average=74.2%)and stress sensitivity coefficients(average=0.089),with pore spaces more slit-like.In contrast,grain-supported samples showed low stress sensitivity coefficients(average=0.021)at high stress stages.Based on the experiments,we developed a mathematical model for stress sensitivity in binary granular media,considering binary granular properties and nested interactions using Hertz contact deformation and Poiseuille theory.By describing the change in activity content of fines under stress,we characterized the non-stationary state of compressive deformation in the binary granular structure and classified the reservoir into three categories.The model was applied for production prediction using actual data from the Mahu reservoir in China,showing that the energy retention rates of support-dominated,fill-dominated,and matrix-controlled reservoirs should be higher than 70.1%,88%,and 90.2%,respectively.展开更多

In Sub-Sahara Africa and in Cameroon in particular health issues have been linked to the consummation of domestic tap water of high turbidity values both in the rural and urban areas. In order to remedy these problems, ceramic water pot filters have been elaborated in a pilot scale unit with aim of putting in place a unit production. The chemical composition, the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analyses of the raw materials (clay and rice husks) was determined. The crystal phases and scanning electron microscope of Wack clay was also determined. The ceramic pot filter membranes were fabricated from the formulations 70/20/10 of clay/porogen/chamotte respectively with the particle size of the raw material less than or equal to 500 μm. The formulated ceramic pot filters were then sintered at 900˚C in a furnace. These ceramic pot filters were characterized by determining their porosity, withdrawal percentages, water permeability, mechanical and chemical resistance. The study of the efficiency consisted in evaluating the retention rate and permeate flux with respect to time (days) with synthetic water suspensions of turbidity 100 NTU and particle size of 2 μm. The ceramic pot filters were made aiming at studying the efficiency after physical defouling of filters. Physical defouling consisted in brushing the inner surface of the ceramic pot filters with water and drying them at ambient temperature after being used for 11 days and reusing them under the same initial conditions. The produced ceramic pot filter had a volume of 4 L, an average porosity of 36.15%, shrinkage in mass or withdrawal percentage of 18.23%, a water permeability of 59.6 × 10<sup>3</sup> L∙h<sup>−2</sup>∙m<sup>−</sup><sup>2</sup>, mechanical resistance of 6.8 MPa and corrosion resistance of 1.6% in acidic medium and 0.8% in alkaline medium. The evaluation of the retention efficiency reveals that the retention rate of 99.9% was obtained from the 9<sup>th</sup> day of filtration reducing the turbidity value from 100 NTU to less than 0.1 NTU. From the filtration test carried out during the 11 consecutive days, the flow rate varied between 1.46 L∙h<sup>−1</sup> to 2.63 L∙h<sup>−1</sup>. Similar results of retention and flow rate were obtained after physical defouling of the ceramic pot filter membranes and re-using for 11 consecutive days, showing the efficiency of the ceramic pot filter membranes in eliminating suspended particles from drinking water. Cost evaluation for the production unit reveals a total cost of production for 50 ceramic pot filters of 1593.6 USD consisting of fixed assets and variable assets. An estimated selling price of 3.3 USD was obtained which is affordable for both the urban and rural population in Cameroon and in sub-Saharan Africa.展开更多

A multi-location investigation was carried out in 2008 and 2009 in 13 counties to determine if increased planting population density (PPD) would break the stagnant yield. The results showed that significant differences among the fields existed in theoretical yield, PPD, and bolls per square meter (BPM). The lowest yield of 1 641.1 kg ha-I was resulted from the lowest PPD of 1.7 plants m-2 and the lowest BPM of 71.8 bolls m-2, while the highest yield of 2 779.7 kg ha-~ was resulted from the highest PPD of 2.5 plants m-2, and the highest BPM of 129.4 bolls m-z. Plant mapping revealed that boll retention rate (BRR) was maintained over 30 or 40% for the first 17-18 fruiting branches (FBs) and decreased dramatically thereafter, rotten boll rate (RBR) decreased, but open boll rate (OBR) rose first and dropped later with rising FB from the bottom to the top. But BRR, RBR, and OBR were all dropped with the fruiting positions (FPs) extending outwards. The optimum range of plant density would be 2-3 plants m-2 and the proper individual plant structure would be 16-19 FBs with 5-7 FPs for cotton production in Hubei Province.展开更多
Release programs to enhance stocks of ark shell(Anadara broughtonii) have been undertaken in a number of Asian countries,but their effectiveness has rarely been investigated owing to a lack of marking methods.The qual...Release programs to enhance stocks of ark shell(Anadara broughtonii) have been undertaken in a number of Asian countries,but their effectiveness has rarely been investigated owing to a lack of marking methods.The quality and longevity of fluorescent markers,alizarin red S(ARS) and calcein(CAL)(200 and 300 mg/L),as well as clip tags,were tested on juvenile A.broughtonii.No significant differences in survival or shell growth were observed in juveniles stained with either of the two fluorochromes after a 160-day culture period,but the retention rate was 100%after 1 year.Fluorescent marks(>grade 3) were observable microscopically in juveniles stained with the two fluorochromes,and some fluorescent marks(>grade 4) were visible with the naked eye after 1 year.ARS-marked shells were brighter than those marked with CAL,and shells marked with 300 mg/L of the fluorochromes were easier to detect than those marked with 200 mg/L.Clip tags were incorporated into the shell as the bivalve grew,and the retention rate was64.25%after 160 days.Significant differences in survival(at 30 days),shell length(at 60,90,120,and 160days),and wet weight(at 90,120,and 160 days) were observed between the clip-tagged and control groups(all P<0.05),indicating that the tags may have passive effects on the ark shell.The results suggest that both ARS and CAL are suitable to mark A.broughtonii for large-scale restocking programs,and that optimal marking quality was achieved with 300 mg/L ARS.Lighter and smaller clip tags need to be developed to reduce injury and increase survival rate of clams.展开更多

La–Mg–Ni-based hydrogen storage alloys have excellent hydrogen storage properties.This work reports the hydrogen storage performance of a series of A_(2)B_(7)-type La_(0.96)Mg_(0.04)N_(i3.34)Al_(0.13)alloy and La_(0...La–Mg–Ni-based hydrogen storage alloys have excellent hydrogen storage properties.This work reports the hydrogen storage performance of a series of A_(2)B_(7)-type La_(0.96)Mg_(0.04)N_(i3.34)Al_(0.13)alloy and La_(0.96-x)Y_(x)Mg_(0.04)Ni_(3.47–0.6x)Al_(0.6x)(x=0,0.22,0.33,0.44)alloys,and explores the effect of Y and Al element combined substitution on the microstructure and hydrogen storage performance of A_(2)B_(7)-type La–Mg–Ni-based alloys.The alloys are composed of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase and LaNi_(5)phase.With the increase of x,the cell volume of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase decreases,while that of LaNi_(5)phase increases,indicating that Y atom mainly enters Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase and Al atom mainly enters LaNi_(5)phase.An appropriate amount of co-substitution increases the hydrogen storage capacity and reduces the hydrogen absorption/desorption plateau pressure hysteresis of the alloy.When x=0.44,the hydrogen storage capacity of the alloy is 1.449 wt%,and the hysteresis coefficient is 0.302.The cell volume of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase and LaNi_(5)phase expands to different degrees after 20 absorption/desorption cycles.With the increase of x,the volume expansion rate decreases,and the cycle capacity retention rate also gradually decreases.This is related to the amorphization of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase.When x=0.22,the capacity retention rate of the alloy is 91.4%.展开更多

This study retrospectively analyzed the medication prescriptions of children diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) in Ningbo Psychiatric Hospital and Ningbo Women and Children’s Hospital from ...This study retrospectively analyzed the medication prescriptions of children diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) in Ningbo Psychiatric Hospital and Ningbo Women and Children’s Hospital from March 2018 to September 2020 and compared the drug retention rate of methylphenidate hydrochloride and atomoxetine hydrochloride. The prescription automatic screening system was used to screen the prescriptions in children with ADHD. Kaplan-Meier regression analysis was used to compare prescription retention rates between the two regimens after adjusting for gender, age, body weight, and prescription cost. The mean age of the methylphenidate hydrochloride group was 8.75 ± 2.16 years, and the monthly prescription cost was 327.37 ± 146.64 RMB. The average age of the atomoxetine group was 8.33 ± 1.73 years, and the monthly prescription cost was 363.15 ± 154.90 ¥. There were some differences in the age of enrollment and the monthly prescription cost between the two regimens(all P < 0.01). Moreover, the retention rate of methylphenidate hydrochloride was higher compared with atomoxetine hydrochloride within 18 months. Kaplan-Meier regression analysis showed that this trend was significant(Tarone-ware, Chi-square value = 14.893, P < 0.001). Prescription costs might be a factor affecting drug retention. This study found that the retention rates were decreased month by month in children with ADHD, and after 5 months, the retention rates were 52.20% and 41.22%, respectively, far below the recommended levels of the guidelines.展开更多

The rational drug management system of Ningbo Women and Children’s hospital was used to screen the prescriptions of menopausal syndrome in 4 years. After the age, year included in the study, and prescription cost were adjusted, Kaplan-Meier regression analysis was performed to compare the prescription retention rates of the two drug regimens. The distribution of the two HRT regimens in the 4 years showed an increasing trend year by year, and the age groups of the two HRT regimens were mainly distributed between 41 and 60 years old, accounting for 97.1% and 87.06%, respectively. The cost distribution for the other two HRT regimens was approximately the same. Compared with the two HRT regimens, the drug retention rate of hormone continuous regimens was higher than that of hormone sequential regimens within 4 years. Kaplan-Meier regression analysis showed that the trend was significant(Tarone-Ware, Chi-square value = 3.857, P = 0.050). This study found that the median retention time of HRT therapy in menopausal women in our hospital was about half a year, which was significantly lower than that reported in previous studies of 1 year or longer. In addition, the present study found that compared with Femoston, the tibolone regimen significantly increased retention time in the treatment of menopausal syndrome.展开更多

Traditional AEDs, such as carbamazepine (CBZ) and valproate (VPA), have been proven to have good therapeutic effects. However, in recent years, a variety of new AEDs have increasingly been used as first-line treatments for partial epilepsy. As the studies regarding the effectiveness of new drugs and comparisons between new AEDs and traditional AEDs are few, it is determined that these are areas in need of further research. Accordingly, this study investigated the long-term effectiveness of six AEDs used as monotherapy in patients with partial epilepsy. Methods: This is a retrospective, long-term observational study. Patients with partial epilepsy who received monotherapy with one of six AEDs, namely, CBZ, VPA, topiramate (TPM), oxcarbazepine (OXC), lamotrigine (LTG), or levetiracetam (LEV), were identified and followed up from May 2007 to October 2014, and time to first seizure after treatment, 12-month remission rate, retention rate, reasons for treatment discontinuation, and adverse effects were evaluated. Results: A total of 789 patients were enrolled. The median time of follow-up was 56.95 months. CBZ exhibited the best time to first seizure, with a median time to first seizure of 36.06 months (95% confidential interval: 30.64~4.07). CBZ exhibited the highest 12-month remission rate (85.55%), which was significantly higher than those of TPM (69.38%, P = 0.006), LTG (70.79%, P= 0.001), LEV (72.54%, P = 0.005), and VPA (73.33%, P = 0.002). CBZ, OXC, and LEV had the best retention rate, followed by LTG, TPM, and VPA. Overall, adverse effects occurred in 45.87% of patients, and the most common adverse effects were memory problems (8.09%), rashes (7.76%), abnormal hepatic function (6.24%), and drowsiness (6.24%). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that CBZ, OXC, and LEV are relatively effective in managing tbcal epilepsy as measured by time to first seizure, 12-month remission rate, and retention rate.展开更多
Aviation spraying is one of the most important methods for the treatment of forestry pests and diseases,which has a high operation efficiency and effectiveness.The combination of aviation spray and biological pesticid...Aviation spraying is one of the most important methods for the treatment of forestry pests and diseases,which has a high operation efficiency and effectiveness.The combination of aviation spray and biological pesticides to reduce the impact of pesticide spray on environment has become an important development in the direction of agricultural aviation.In order to explore the effects of aviation spray parameters on particle size distribution and activity retention of biological pesticide droplets,a system of droplets size test and an activity retention rate test system of biological pesticides were constructed.The related experiments were conducted by changing the structural parameters of the rotary cage nozzle(the diameter of nozzle)and the technical parameters of the operation(rotary speed and flow rate).The results showed that the average relative width S of the droplets of the rotary cage nozzle was close to 1,and the droplet distribution was uniform.The influence factors on the particle size distribution of biological pesticide droplets were rotary speed,nozzle diameter,medium and flow rate in descending order.The rotary speed,nozzle diameter,and medium had a significant influence on droplet size distribution.The average activity retention rate of Bacillus thuringiensis was 88.83%,and the germination rate of Beauveria bassiana was 89.80%.The rotary speed had a significant effect on the activity retention rate of bacterial and fungal biological pesticides,and it was negatively correlated.The rotary speed was between 3000-5000 r/min,and the activity retention rate was higher.The research results can provide guidance for spraying biological pesticides in aerial plant protection operations with rotary cage nozzle.展开更多
The effects of the operating pressure,crossflow velocity,feed concentration,and temperature on the streaming and Zeta potential of the membranes were studied.The permeateflux and the retention rate under different nanofi...The effects of the operating pressure,crossflow velocity,feed concentration,and temperature on the streaming and Zeta potential of the membranes were studied.The permeateflux and the retention rate under different nanofiltration operating conditions were also investigated.The results show that the higher pressure,feed concentration,temperature,and lower crossflow velocity lead to the higher absolute value of streaming and Zeta potential.The permeateflux of the nanofiltration decreases with the feed concentration and increases with not only the pressure but also the crossflow velocity and temperature.The higher the pressure and the crossflow velocity,the higher the retention rate.The lower feed concentration and higher temperature leads to lower retention rate.The effects of the operating conditions on the permeateflux and the retention rate were explained by the variation of the membrane charge property.展开更多

文摘This study was to investigate the decoloration effects of activated clay, activated carbon, diatomite, Ca group bentonite, kaolin, activated aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide and attapulgite. Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopywas adopted to de- tect the absorbanees of the extracts of Schisandra chinensis fruit and rattan stems, the contents of total triterpenoids in S. chinensis fruit and rattan stems were deter- mined, and the decoloration rate and the retention rate of total triterpenoids of S. chi- nensis fruit and rattan stems were calculated. The results indicated that, attapulgite exhibited the best decoloration effect on the extract of S. chinensis fruit, with a de- coloration rate up to 60.47%, activated carbon exhibited a better decoloration effect on the extract of S. chinensis rattan stems, with a decoloration rate up to 69.24%, and they had relatively higher retention rates of total triterpenoids. In the eight de- colorants, attapulgite showed the best decoloration effect on the extract of S. chi- nensis fruit, and activated carbon exhibited the best decoloration effect on the ex- tract of S. chinensisrattan stems.

文摘In order to improve the accuracy of used car price prediction,a machine learning prediction model based on the retention rate is proposed in this paper.Firstly,a random forest algorithm is used to filter the variables in the data.Seven main characteristic variables that affect used car prices,such as new car price,service time,mileage and so on,are filtered out.Then,the linear regression classification method is introduced to classify the test data into high and low retention rate data.After that,the extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)regression model is built for the two datasets respectively.The prediction results show that the comprehensive evaluation index of the proposed model is 0.548,which is significantly improved compared to 0.488 of the original XGBoost model.Finally,compared with other representative machine learning algorithms,this model shows certain advantages in terms of mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),5%accuracy rate and comprehensive evaluation index.As a result,the retention rate-based machine learning model established in this paper has significant advantages in terms of the accuracy of used car price prediction.

文摘The effects of age,body weight(BW),and backfat thickness(BF)of replacement gilts at first estrus and first mating on their subsequent reproductive performance and retention of their first 2 parities as sows was evaluated.A total of 3,025 Danish replacement gilts were categorized by farm(allocated to 4 farms),cross combination,age,BW and BF at first estrus and first mating,estrous cycle number at first mating,and flush feeding before first mating.The result shows that all the factors mentioned above were significantly associated with reproductive performance and retention rates of the first 2 parities.Farm 3 had more piglets born alive per litter(BA)(P<0.05).Farms 3 and 4 had more healthy piglets per litter(HP)(P<0.05).Farm 4 had the most piglets weaned per litter(PW)(P<0.05).Landrace×Landrace×Yorkshire(L×L×Y)replacement gilts had the most total piglets born per litter(TB),BA,HP,PW and a higher retention rate of the 2 parities than Landrace×Yorkshire(L×Y)replacement gilts(P<0.05).In addition,flush feeding before first mating had the most TB,BA,HP,PW,and a higher retention rate of the 2 parities than no flush feeding(P<0.05).Because the effects of replacement gilts rearing parameters on reproductive performance traits differed,we used 100 replacement gilts as a unit and the total number of weaned piglets from the first 2 parities as a new index.Replacement gilts undergoing their first estrus between 180 and 210 d of age at 115 to 124.9 kg BW and 14 to 15 mm BF had significantly higher reproductive indexes for their first 2 parities per 100 replacement gilts.Replacement gilts that mated between 210 and 230 d of age at 140 to 149.9 kg BW and 15 to 16 mm BF had optimal reproductive indexes.These results provide a new insight into the complex relationships among these reproductive performance traits and may help guide successful management of replacement gilts as a pivotal starting point for future fertility and longevity of rearing herds.

文摘Research on reservoir rock stress sensitivity has traditionally focused on unary granular structures,neglecting the binary nature of real reservoirs,especially tight reservoirs.Understanding the stresssensitive behavior and mathematical characterization of binary granular media remains a challenging task.In this study,we conducted online-NMR experiments to investigate the permeability and porosity evolution as well as stress-sensitive control mechanisms in tight sandy conglomerate samples.The results revealed stress sensitivity coefficients between 0.042 and 0.098 and permeability damage rates ranging from 65.6%to 90.9%,with an average pore compression coefficient of 0.0168—0.0208 MPa 1.Pore-scale compression occurred in three stages:filling,compression,and compaction,with matrix pores playing a dominant role in pore compression.The stress sensitivity of binary granular media was found to be influenced by the support structure and particle properties.High stress sensitivity was associated with small fine particle size,high fines content,high uniformity coefficient of particle size,high plastic deformation,and low Young's modulus.Matrix-supported samples exhibited a high irreversible permeability damage rate(average=74.2%)and stress sensitivity coefficients(average=0.089),with pore spaces more slit-like.In contrast,grain-supported samples showed low stress sensitivity coefficients(average=0.021)at high stress stages.Based on the experiments,we developed a mathematical model for stress sensitivity in binary granular media,considering binary granular properties and nested interactions using Hertz contact deformation and Poiseuille theory.By describing the change in activity content of fines under stress,we characterized the non-stationary state of compressive deformation in the binary granular structure and classified the reservoir into three categories.The model was applied for production prediction using actual data from the Mahu reservoir in China,showing that the energy retention rates of support-dominated,fill-dominated,and matrix-controlled reservoirs should be higher than 70.1%,88%,and 90.2%,respectively.
文摘The objective of this work was to elaborate ceramic water filters from Kaolinite (Cameroon) clay for the elimination of suspended particles from domestic drinking water. In Sub-Sahara Africa and in Cameroon in particular health issues have been linked to the consummation of domestic tap water of high turbidity values both in the rural and urban areas. In order to remedy these problems, ceramic water pot filters have been elaborated in a pilot scale unit with aim of putting in place a unit production. The chemical composition, the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analyses of the raw materials (clay and rice husks) was determined. The crystal phases and scanning electron microscope of Wack clay was also determined. The ceramic pot filter membranes were fabricated from the formulations 70/20/10 of clay/porogen/chamotte respectively with the particle size of the raw material less than or equal to 500 μm. The formulated ceramic pot filters were then sintered at 900˚C in a furnace. These ceramic pot filters were characterized by determining their porosity, withdrawal percentages, water permeability, mechanical and chemical resistance. The study of the efficiency consisted in evaluating the retention rate and permeate flux with respect to time (days) with synthetic water suspensions of turbidity 100 NTU and particle size of 2 μm. The ceramic pot filters were made aiming at studying the efficiency after physical defouling of filters. Physical defouling consisted in brushing the inner surface of the ceramic pot filters with water and drying them at ambient temperature after being used for 11 days and reusing them under the same initial conditions. The produced ceramic pot filter had a volume of 4 L, an average porosity of 36.15%, shrinkage in mass or withdrawal percentage of 18.23%, a water permeability of 59.6 × 10<sup>3</sup> L∙h<sup>−2</sup>∙m<sup>−</sup><sup>2</sup>, mechanical resistance of 6.8 MPa and corrosion resistance of 1.6% in acidic medium and 0.8% in alkaline medium. The evaluation of the retention efficiency reveals that the retention rate of 99.9% was obtained from the 9<sup>th</sup> day of filtration reducing the turbidity value from 100 NTU to less than 0.1 NTU. From the filtration test carried out during the 11 consecutive days, the flow rate varied between 1.46 L∙h<sup>−1</sup> to 2.63 L∙h<sup>−1</sup>. Similar results of retention and flow rate were obtained after physical defouling of the ceramic pot filter membranes and re-using for 11 consecutive days, showing the efficiency of the ceramic pot filter membranes in eliminating suspended particles from drinking water. Cost evaluation for the production unit reveals a total cost of production for 50 ceramic pot filters of 1593.6 USD consisting of fixed assets and variable assets. An estimated selling price of 3.3 USD was obtained which is affordable for both the urban and rural population in Cameroon and in sub-Saharan Africa.

文摘Cotton yield per unit ground area has stagnated for a dozen years in Hubei Province, China, although a series of new high- yielding varieties have been commercialized. A multi-location investigation was carried out in 2008 and 2009 in 13 counties to determine if increased planting population density (PPD) would break the stagnant yield. The results showed that significant differences among the fields existed in theoretical yield, PPD, and bolls per square meter (BPM). The lowest yield of 1 641.1 kg ha-I was resulted from the lowest PPD of 1.7 plants m-2 and the lowest BPM of 71.8 bolls m-2, while the highest yield of 2 779.7 kg ha-~ was resulted from the highest PPD of 2.5 plants m-2, and the highest BPM of 129.4 bolls m-z. Plant mapping revealed that boll retention rate (BRR) was maintained over 30 or 40% for the first 17-18 fruiting branches (FBs) and decreased dramatically thereafter, rotten boll rate (RBR) decreased, but open boll rate (OBR) rose first and dropped later with rising FB from the bottom to the top. But BRR, RBR, and OBR were all dropped with the fruiting positions (FPs) extending outwards. The optimum range of plant density would be 2-3 plants m-2 and the proper individual plant structure would be 16-19 FBs with 5-7 FPs for cotton production in Hubei Province.

文摘Release programs to enhance stocks of ark shell(Anadara broughtonii) have been undertaken in a number of Asian countries,but their effectiveness has rarely been investigated owing to a lack of marking methods.The quality and longevity of fluorescent markers,alizarin red S(ARS) and calcein(CAL)(200 and 300 mg/L),as well as clip tags,were tested on juvenile A.broughtonii.No significant differences in survival or shell growth were observed in juveniles stained with either of the two fluorochromes after a 160-day culture period,but the retention rate was 100%after 1 year.Fluorescent marks(>grade 3) were observable microscopically in juveniles stained with the two fluorochromes,and some fluorescent marks(>grade 4) were visible with the naked eye after 1 year.ARS-marked shells were brighter than those marked with CAL,and shells marked with 300 mg/L of the fluorochromes were easier to detect than those marked with 200 mg/L.Clip tags were incorporated into the shell as the bivalve grew,and the retention rate was64.25%after 160 days.Significant differences in survival(at 30 days),shell length(at 60,90,120,and 160days),and wet weight(at 90,120,and 160 days) were observed between the clip-tagged and control groups(all P<0.05),indicating that the tags may have passive effects on the ark shell.The results suggest that both ARS and CAL are suitable to mark A.broughtonii for large-scale restocking programs,and that optimal marking quality was achieved with 300 mg/L ARS.Lighter and smaller clip tags need to be developed to reduce injury and increase survival rate of clams.

文摘The coastline,as the boundary between land and sea,is shaped by both natural factors and human activities.Based on concrete practice from coastline survey in Shandong Province,this study discusses the applicability of the local standard Specification for Coastline Survey(DB 37/T 3588-2019).The coastline classification system takes into account the coastline characteristics and marine management requirements in Shandong Province.To be specific,the coastline with natural beach morphology and ecological function is involved,and its delimitation method is innovated.The coastline delimitation of sandy beach,aquaculture pond and salt pan follows the trace line of the mean high water springs(MHWS),but the coastline location of sandy beach can also be at the base of cliffs or at the foot of seawalls and roads considering the dynamic changes of the beach in different seasons and the integrity of the beach topography.The delineation of estuarial coastline is to achieve the complete coastline,and should not be used for the statistics of natural coastline retention rate.At present,the review of survey results has been completed.With the promulgation of survey results next,the formulation of relevant mechanisms and policies should promptly be put on the agenda,including regular investigation and data updating,natural coastline assessment,natural coastline requisition-compensation,and coastline protection planning.

文摘La–Mg–Ni-based hydrogen storage alloys have excellent hydrogen storage properties.This work reports the hydrogen storage performance of a series of A_(2)B_(7)-type La_(0.96)Mg_(0.04)N_(i3.34)Al_(0.13)alloy and La_(0.96-x)Y_(x)Mg_(0.04)Ni_(3.47–0.6x)Al_(0.6x)(x=0,0.22,0.33,0.44)alloys,and explores the effect of Y and Al element combined substitution on the microstructure and hydrogen storage performance of A_(2)B_(7)-type La–Mg–Ni-based alloys.The alloys are composed of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase and LaNi_(5)phase.With the increase of x,the cell volume of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase decreases,while that of LaNi_(5)phase increases,indicating that Y atom mainly enters Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase and Al atom mainly enters LaNi_(5)phase.An appropriate amount of co-substitution increases the hydrogen storage capacity and reduces the hydrogen absorption/desorption plateau pressure hysteresis of the alloy.When x=0.44,the hydrogen storage capacity of the alloy is 1.449 wt%,and the hysteresis coefficient is 0.302.The cell volume of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase and LaNi_(5)phase expands to different degrees after 20 absorption/desorption cycles.With the increase of x,the volume expansion rate decreases,and the cycle capacity retention rate also gradually decreases.This is related to the amorphization of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase.When x=0.22,the capacity retention rate of the alloy is 91.4%.
文摘This study aims to explore career planning and management strategies for healthcare talent based on life cycle theory,in order to enhance retention rates and job satisfaction among healthcare professionals.Through qualitative research methods combined with a case study of Liannan County Hospital,the study analyzes the needs and challenges faced by healthcare talent at different career stages.The findings reveal major issues confronted by healthcare talent during career planning,including compensation and benefits,career development opportunities,work environment,and organizational support.The study proposes a series of targeted management strategies,such as individualized career development paths,continuous professional training,and support for work-life balance,to promote long-term retention and career growth of healthcare talent.The conclusion emphasizes that healthcare organizations should consider the life cycle needs of healthcare talent in career planning and management to achieve optimal talent allocation and sustainable hospital development.

文摘This study retrospectively analyzed the medication prescriptions of children diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) in Ningbo Psychiatric Hospital and Ningbo Women and Children’s Hospital from March 2018 to September 2020 and compared the drug retention rate of methylphenidate hydrochloride and atomoxetine hydrochloride. The prescription automatic screening system was used to screen the prescriptions in children with ADHD. Kaplan-Meier regression analysis was used to compare prescription retention rates between the two regimens after adjusting for gender, age, body weight, and prescription cost. The mean age of the methylphenidate hydrochloride group was 8.75 ± 2.16 years, and the monthly prescription cost was 327.37 ± 146.64 RMB. The average age of the atomoxetine group was 8.33 ± 1.73 years, and the monthly prescription cost was 363.15 ± 154.90 ¥. There were some differences in the age of enrollment and the monthly prescription cost between the two regimens(all P < 0.01). Moreover, the retention rate of methylphenidate hydrochloride was higher compared with atomoxetine hydrochloride within 18 months. Kaplan-Meier regression analysis showed that this trend was significant(Tarone-ware, Chi-square value = 14.893, P < 0.001). Prescription costs might be a factor affecting drug retention. This study found that the retention rates were decreased month by month in children with ADHD, and after 5 months, the retention rates were 52.20% and 41.22%, respectively, far below the recommended levels of the guidelines.

文摘In the present study, we aimed to retrospectively analyze the medication prescriptions of menopausal women diagnosed with menopausal syndrome in our hospital from 2015 to 2018, and compare the retention rate of estrogen and progesterone sequential therapy and hormone continuous therapy in menopausal women. The rational drug management system of Ningbo Women and Children’s hospital was used to screen the prescriptions of menopausal syndrome in 4 years. After the age, year included in the study, and prescription cost were adjusted, Kaplan-Meier regression analysis was performed to compare the prescription retention rates of the two drug regimens. The distribution of the two HRT regimens in the 4 years showed an increasing trend year by year, and the age groups of the two HRT regimens were mainly distributed between 41 and 60 years old, accounting for 97.1% and 87.06%, respectively. The cost distribution for the other two HRT regimens was approximately the same. Compared with the two HRT regimens, the drug retention rate of hormone continuous regimens was higher than that of hormone sequential regimens within 4 years. Kaplan-Meier regression analysis showed that the trend was significant(Tarone-Ware, Chi-square value = 3.857, P = 0.050). This study found that the median retention time of HRT therapy in menopausal women in our hospital was about half a year, which was significantly lower than that reported in previous studies of 1 year or longer. In addition, the present study found that compared with Femoston, the tibolone regimen significantly increased retention time in the treatment of menopausal syndrome.
文摘Background: It is important to choose an appropriate antiepileptic drug (AED) to manage partial epilepsy. Traditional AEDs, such as carbamazepine (CBZ) and valproate (VPA), have been proven to have good therapeutic effects. However, in recent years, a variety of new AEDs have increasingly been used as first-line treatments for partial epilepsy. As the studies regarding the effectiveness of new drugs and comparisons between new AEDs and traditional AEDs are few, it is determined that these are areas in need of further research. Accordingly, this study investigated the long-term effectiveness of six AEDs used as monotherapy in patients with partial epilepsy. Methods: This is a retrospective, long-term observational study. Patients with partial epilepsy who received monotherapy with one of six AEDs, namely, CBZ, VPA, topiramate (TPM), oxcarbazepine (OXC), lamotrigine (LTG), or levetiracetam (LEV), were identified and followed up from May 2007 to October 2014, and time to first seizure after treatment, 12-month remission rate, retention rate, reasons for treatment discontinuation, and adverse effects were evaluated. Results: A total of 789 patients were enrolled. The median time of follow-up was 56.95 months. CBZ exhibited the best time to first seizure, with a median time to first seizure of 36.06 months (95% confidential interval: 30.64~4.07). CBZ exhibited the highest 12-month remission rate (85.55%), which was significantly higher than those of TPM (69.38%, P = 0.006), LTG (70.79%, P= 0.001), LEV (72.54%, P = 0.005), and VPA (73.33%, P = 0.002). CBZ, OXC, and LEV had the best retention rate, followed by LTG, TPM, and VPA. Overall, adverse effects occurred in 45.87% of patients, and the most common adverse effects were memory problems (8.09%), rashes (7.76%), abnormal hepatic function (6.24%), and drowsiness (6.24%). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that CBZ, OXC, and LEV are relatively effective in managing tbcal epilepsy as measured by time to first seizure, 12-month remission rate, and retention rate.

文摘Aviation spraying is one of the most important methods for the treatment of forestry pests and diseases,which has a high operation efficiency and effectiveness.The combination of aviation spray and biological pesticides to reduce the impact of pesticide spray on environment has become an important development in the direction of agricultural aviation.In order to explore the effects of aviation spray parameters on particle size distribution and activity retention of biological pesticide droplets,a system of droplets size test and an activity retention rate test system of biological pesticides were constructed.The related experiments were conducted by changing the structural parameters of the rotary cage nozzle(the diameter of nozzle)and the technical parameters of the operation(rotary speed and flow rate).The results showed that the average relative width S of the droplets of the rotary cage nozzle was close to 1,and the droplet distribution was uniform.The influence factors on the particle size distribution of biological pesticide droplets were rotary speed,nozzle diameter,medium and flow rate in descending order.The rotary speed,nozzle diameter,and medium had a significant influence on droplet size distribution.The average activity retention rate of Bacillus thuringiensis was 88.83%,and the germination rate of Beauveria bassiana was 89.80%.The rotary speed had a significant effect on the activity retention rate of bacterial and fungal biological pesticides,and it was negatively correlated.The rotary speed was between 3000-5000 r/min,and the activity retention rate was higher.The research results can provide guidance for spraying biological pesticides in aerial plant protection operations with rotary cage nozzle.

文摘The effects of the operating pressure,crossflow velocity,feed concentration,and temperature on the streaming and Zeta potential of the membranes were studied.The permeateflux and the retention rate under different nanofiltration operating conditions were also investigated.The results show that the higher pressure,feed concentration,temperature,and lower crossflow velocity lead to the higher absolute value of streaming and Zeta potential.The permeateflux of the nanofiltration decreases with the feed concentration and increases with not only the pressure but also the crossflow velocity and temperature.The higher the pressure and the crossflow velocity,the higher the retention rate.The lower feed concentration and higher temperature leads to lower retention rate.The effects of the operating conditions on the permeateflux and the retention rate were explained by the variation of the membrane charge property.
