A large number of experiments have shown that polymer solutions have viscoelasticity, and disregarding the elasticity will cause certain errors in the analysis of polymer solution seepage law. Based on the percolation theory, this paper describes the polymer flooding mechanism from the two aspects of viscous effect and elastic effect, the mathematical model of oil water two-phase three components unsteady flow in viscoelastic polymer flooding was established, and solved by finite difference method, and the well-test curve was drawn to analyze the rule of well test curve in polymer flooding. The results show that, the degree of upward warping in the radial flow section of the pressure recovery curve when considering polymer elasticity is greater than the curve which not considering polymer elasticity. The relaxation time, power-law index, polymer injection concentration mainly affect the radial flow stage of the well testing curve. The relaxation time, power-law index, polymer injection concentration and other polymer flooding parameters mainly affect the radial flow stage of the well testing curve. The larger the polymer flooding parameters, the greater the degree of upwarping of the radial flow derivative curve. This model has important reference significance for well-testing research in polymer flooding oilfields.展开更多

A prediction method for the natural gas hydrate formation region during the deep-water gas well testing is proposed, which combines the wellbore temperature field equations, the phase equilibrium conditions of the natural gas hydrate formation and the calculation methods for the pressure field. Through the sensitivity analysis of the parameters that affect the hydrate formation region, it can be concluded that during the deep-water gas well testing, with the reduction of the gas production rate and the decrease of the geothermal gradient, along with the increase of the depth of water, the hydrate formation region in the wellbore enlarges, the hydrate formation regions differ with different component contents of natural gases, as compared with the pure methane gas, with the increase of ethane and propane, the hydrate formation region expands, the admixture of inhibitors, the type and the concentrations of which can be optimized through the method proposed in the paper, will reduce the hydrate formation region, the throttling effect will lead to the abrupt changes of temperature and pressure, which results in a variation of the hydrate formation region, if the throttling occurs in the shallow part of the wellbore, the temperature will drop too much, which enlarges the hydrate formation region, otherwise, if the throttling occurs in the deep part of the wellbore, the hydrate formation region will be reduced due to the decrease of the pressure.展开更多

In this paper, based on the data transformed by logarithm function and the loss function of mean square error(MSE), the optimal CNN is obtained by reducing the loss function to optimize the network with "dropout" method to avoid over fitting. The trained optimal network can be directly used to interpret the buildup or drawdown pressure data of the well in the radial composite reservoir, that is, the log-log plot of the given measured pressure variation and its derivative data are input into the network, the outputs are corresponding reservoir parameters(mobility ratio, storativity ratio, dimensionless composite radius, and dimensionless group characterizing well storage and skin effects), which realizes the automatic initial fitting of well test interpretation parameters. The method is verified with field measured data of Daqing Oilfield. The research shows that the method has high interpretation accuracy, and it is superior to the analytical method and the least square method.展开更多

Transient pressure measurements from PDG are characterized by long term and high volume data. These data are recorded under unconstrained circumstances, so effects due to noise, rate fluctuation and interference from other wells cannot be avoided. These effects make the measured pressure trends decline or rise and then obscure or distort the actual flow behavior, which makes subsequent analysis difficult. In this paper, the problems encountered in analysis of PDG transient pressure are investigated. A newly developed workflow for processing and analyzing PDG transient pressure data is proposed. Numerical well testing synthetic studies are performed to demonstrate these procedures. The results prove that this new technique works well and the potential for practical application looks very promising.展开更多

This approach is based on exponential and constant bottom-hole pressure solution. Based on this method, when In (flow rate) is plotted versus time, two straight lines are ob- tained which can be used for estimating different parameters of a naturally fractured reservoir. Parameters such as storage capacity ratio (co), reservoir drainage area (A), reservoir shape factor (CA), fracture per- meability (ky), interporosity flow parameter (,~) and the other parameters can be determined by this ap- proach. The equations are based on a model originally presented by Warren and Root and extended by Da Prat et al. and Mavor and Cinco-Ley. The proposed method has been developed to be used for naturally fractured reservoirs with different geometries. This method does not involve the use of any chart and by us- ing the pseudo steady state flow regime, the influence of wellbore storage on the value of the parameters ob- tained from this technique is negligible. In this technique, all the parameters can be obtained directly while in conventional approaches like type curve matching method, parameters such as co and g should be ob- tained by other methods like build-up test analysis and this is one of the most important advantages of this method that could save time during reservoir analyses. Different simulated and field examples were used for testing the proposed technique. Comparison between the obtained results by this approach and the results of type curve matching method shows a high performance of decline curves in well testing.展开更多

Although reservoirs are assumed to be homogenous for simplicity of analysis, most reservoirs are heterogeneous in nature. Some common forms of hetergeneity are the presence of layers and the presence of different zones of fluids and/or rock in the formation. A modified semi-permeable model for multi-layered gas reservoirs with pseudo-steady state interlayer crossflow was developed. The model accounted for the effect of skin and wellbore storage, considers all layers open to a single well, which flows at constant total rate. This new numerical solution was proved to be computationally very efficient, and it has been validated by comparing the results with those of some simple, well known models in the well testing literature. The effects of the reservoir parameters such as permeability, vertical permeability, skin, wellbore storage on the wellbore response, pressure and layer production rate were investigated. Numerical solutions of the problem for the modified semi-permeable model were used to find the structure of crossflow in typical cases.展开更多

文摘Well testing is recognized as an effective means of accurately obtaining the formation parameters of low-permeability reservoirs and effectively analyzing the deliverability.Well test models must comply with the particular characteristics of flow in low-permeability reservoirs in order to obtain reasonable well test interpretation. At present,non-Darcy flow in low-permeability reservoirs is attracting much attention. In this study, displacement tests were conducted on typical cores taken from low-permeability reservoirs. Two dimensionless variables were introduced to analyze the collected experimental data. The results of the dimensionless analysis show whether non-Darcy flow happens or not depends on the properties of fluid and porous media and the pressure differential. The combination of the above three parameters was named as dimensionless criteria coefficient(DCC).When the value of the DCC was lower than a critical Reynolds number(CRN),the flow could not be well described by Darcy's law(so-called non-Darcy flow),when the DCC was higher than CRN,the flow obeyed Darcy's law. Finally, this paper establishes a transient mathematical model considering Darcy flow and non-Darcy flow in low-permeability reservoirs, and proposes a methodology to solve the model. The solution technique, which is based on the Boltzmann transformation,is well suited for solving the flow model of low-permeability reservoirs.Based on the typical curves analysis,it was found that the pressure and its derivative curves were determined by such parameters as non-Darcy flow index and the flow characteristics. The results can be used for well test analysis of low-permeability reservoirs.

文摘With permanent down-hole gauges (PDGs) widely installed in oilfields around the world in recent years, a continuous stream of transient pressure data in real time is now available, which motivates a new round of research interests in further developing pressure transient processing and analysis techniques. The results prove that this new technique works well and the potential for practical application looks very promising.
文摘In recent years, many trials have been made to use the Rate Transient Analysis(RTA)techniques as a method to describe the gas condensate reservoirs. The problem with using these techniques is the multi-phase behavior of the gas condensate reservoirs. Therefore, the Pressure Transient Analysis(PTA)is commonly used in this case to analyze the reservoir parameters. In this paper,we are going to compare the results of both PTA and RTA of three wells in gas condensate reservoirs. The comparison showed a great match between the results of the two mentioned techniques for the first time using a reference GOR of 75,000 SCF/STB.Therefore,we concluded that we could depend on RTA instead of PTA to spare the cost associated with the PTA in the gas condensate reservoirs.
文摘The data of modified isochronal testing of gas well is just used to calculate gas well deliverability. Fully utilizing well test data make it possible to obtain formation parameters, such as gas well deliverability, effective permeability and skin factor at the same time. Based on transient flow theory, the pressure drawdown equation of gas unsteady seepage can be deducted. One simulated case is used to illustrate the applicability of the proposed method. The result of analyzed case shows that the proposed method can provide accurate estimate of formation permeability and skin factor compared with the method of Homer curves.
文摘Gas condensate is one of the most different fluids in reservoir simulation due to retrograde condensation in case of pressure reduction. In this kind of fluids, two phenomena named negative inertia and positive coupling, become significant in the high velocity zone around the wellbore. In this study,a modified black oil simulator is developed that take into account the velocity dependent relative permeability.Against the industrial simulator that assumes linear variation of transmissibilities by pressure, modified black oil nonlinear equations are solved directly without linearization. The developed code is validated by ECLIPSE simulator. The behavior of two real gas condensate fluids,a lean and a rich one,are compared with each other. For each fluid, simulations of PVT experiments are carried out to calculate black oil property applying Coats approach for gas condensate fluids. For both fluids, the proposed models for gas condensate velocity dependent relative permeability show different influence of velocity on relative permeability in the same conditions. Moreover,it is observed that higher flow rate of gas production leads to more condensate production during constant rate well testing.
文摘Transient rate decline curve analysis for constant pressure production is presented in this pa- per for a naturally fractured reservoir. Comparison between the obtained results by this approach and the results of type curve matching method shows a high performance of decline curves in well testing.
文摘Reservoir deposition occurs over geologic periods of time. Numerical solutions of the problem for the modified semi-permeable model were used to find the structure of crossflow in typical cases.
