Through historical changes, yin and yang have gradually been regarded as a concept or theory, thus making it difficult for people to understand the connotation of Yin-Yang and make new discoveries and progress. Nowadays, many scholars in China and the West are interested in studying the treasures of ancient Chinese civilization. We illustrate the actual function of Yin and Yang by explaining the essential state of matter, the law of physical movement, the transformation of energy, and then illustrate the practical application in life and science. In conclusion, yin-yang is a key to unlocking the treasures of traditional Chinese civilization, which can help to bring into play its original values, and continue to provide new insights and directions for the development of modern science and the advancement of humanities.展开更多

Gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA)and glutamate are two important amino acid neurotransmitters widely present in the nervous systems of mammals,insects,round worm,and platyhelminths,while their receptors are quite diversif...Gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA)and glutamate are two important amino acid neurotransmitters widely present in the nervous systems of mammals,insects,round worm,and platyhelminths,while their receptors are quite diversified across different animal phyla.However,the evolutionary mechanisms between the two conserved neurotransmitters and their diversified receptors remain elusive,and antagonistic interactions between GABA and glutamate signal transduction systems,in particular,have begun to attract significant attention.In this review,we summarize the extant results on the origin and evolution of GABA and glutamate,as well as their receptors,and analyze possible evolutionary processes and phylogenetic relationships of various GABAs and glutamate receptors.We further discuss the evolutionary history of Excitatory/Neutral Amino Acid Transporter(EAAT),a transport protein,which plays an important role in the GABA-glutamate“yin and yang”balanced regulation.Finally,based on current advances,we propose several potential directions of future research.展开更多
[Objectives]To explore the moxibustion effect and mechanism of"Complementary Acupoints"on rheumatoid arthritis(RA).[Methods]A total of 32 Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 group:normal control(K),mode...[Objectives]To explore the moxibustion effect and mechanism of"Complementary Acupoints"on rheumatoid arthritis(RA).[Methods]A total of 32 Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 group:normal control(K),model group(M group),"the Complementary Acupoints"Yanglingquan and Yinlingquan group(AB group),Shenshu and Zusanli group(CD group),with 8 rats in each group.Moxibustion was performed using refined moxa floss(2 mg/pc)on acupoints in both sides every other day,5 pieces for each acupoint,and implemented for 10 times.Before and after the modeling and after the intervention,the left foot sole thermal pain threshold of each group was measured.After the intervention,the rats'left paws were examined by X-ray to detect the number of mast cells(MCs)and degranulation in the affected area of the foot.[Results]The thermal pain threshold of the model group was lower than that of the K group(P<0.05).The number of MC in the affected area and the degranulation were increased.After the moxibustion intervention,the thermal pain threshold of the AB and CD groups was higher than that of the M group(P<0.05);the number of MCs and degranulation were decreased compared with M group,and the degree of reduction was better than that of CD group.The data of foot and claw showed that the foot and paw soft tissue swelling,bone and joint deformity and bone destruction were better in AB and CD groups were more relieved than that in M group.[Conclusions]The moxibustion of Complementary Acupoints can effectively intervene with RA of rats,and its mechanism may be closely related to the MC degranulation.展开更多

Objective:To discuss the clinical application of the"seven,five and three"odd-numbered law theory and analyze the effect on serum sex hormone level.Methods:A total of 100 patients with early threatened abort...Objective:To discuss the clinical application of the"seven,five and three"odd-numbered law theory and analyze the effect on serum sex hormone level.Methods:A total of 100 patients with early threatened abortion admitted from January 2021 to October 2021 were randomly divided into study group and control group,with 50 patients in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with dydrogesterone tablets,while patients in the study group were treated with Bushen JianpiGutai Decoction combined with dydrogesterone tablets.Clinical efficacy and progesterone level before and after treatment were observed and compared between the two groups,as well as clinical symptom relief time of the two groups,including hemostasis time,abdominal pain relief time and lumbar acid relief time,and sex hormone level of the two groups were observed and compared.Results:The clinical efficacy was significantly better than control patients(P<0.05),no significant difference in progesterone level comparison before treatment(P>0.05),significantly better than control patients(P<0.05),hemostasis,abdominal pain remission and waist acid remission were significantly shorter than control patients(P<0.05),and both significantly better sex hormone levels after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine has certain advantages in the treatment of threatened abortion,odd-numbered law theoryguidesthe regulation of Yin and Yang in the female menstrual cycle and reproductive function is mainly the regular change of Yin and Yang.Under the guidance of"seven,five,three"odd-numbered law theoryof Traditional Chinese medicine master Xia Guicheng,master the key date and the best time of its transformation,regulate Yin and Yang in the female body,to prevent the occurrence and development of menstrual diseases and adverse childbirth.Bushen Jianpi Gutai decoction can effectively treat threatened abortion,significantly improve the clinical symptoms,improve the level of serum sex hormone,worthy of clinical promotion.展开更多
