Additionally, efficient removal of quinoline in enhanced MBBR occurred at the influent p H of 7.0–8.0, hydraulic retention time(HRT) of 24–28 h and influent quinoline concentration of 100–700 mg·L^(-1). High-throughput sequencing analysis indicated that bioaugmentation could increase microbial diversity and shape the microbial community structure. Although the inoculant LV1 did not remain its dominance in stage Ⅲ, bioaugmentation indeed induced the formation of effective microbial community, and the indigenous microbes including Flavobacterium, Pseudoxanthomonas,Pseudomonas, Vermamoeba, Dyadobacter and Sphingomonas might play the key role in quinoline removal.According to the PICRUSt, the enhanced genes encoding aromatic ring-cleavage enzyme, especially for Nheterocyclic ring-cleavage enzymes, could lead to the improved removal performance of quinoline in bioaugmentation stage. Moreover, the enhanced MBBR treated well actual coking wastewater, as indicated by high removal performance of quinoline, phenol and COD.展开更多

In comparison, the aerobic degradation rate was much higher than that of anaerobic degradation. The optimal pH values for 4-t-OP degradation in granular sludge were 9 and 7 under aerobic and anaerobic conditions, respectively. And the degradation rate decreased with an increase in the initial 4-t-OP concentration. Addition of yeast extract or homologous compounds such as phenol also enhanced the 4-t-OP degradation, especially under the aerobic condition. To investigate the bacterial community in this study, the denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) method was applied, based on the primers, for the 16S rDNA V3 region of bacteria, γ-proteobacteria and bacillus were identified as the major species of sludge.展开更多

The substrate utilization profiles revealed that IR08 could grow on all three monochlorobiphenyls (CBs), 2,4’- and 4,4’-dichlorobiphenyl as well as 2-chlorobenzoate (2-CBA), 3-CBA, 4-CBA, and 2,3-dichlorobenzoate. After cultivation by simulating aerobic biological reactor for 30 days, the biofilm system that could degrade the oleaginous materials of absorption solution spraying lampblack waste gas was successfully obtained. From different influent concentration and temperature experiments,it was shown that the degradation efficiency of the oleaginous materials was the most, when the influent concentration and the temperature of the biological contact oxidation reactor were 300 mg/L and35 ℃,especially the effluent concentration and the degradation efficiency of the oleaginous materials was 51 mg/L and 83%. The modified Michaelis-Menten equation was used to analyze the data, and the kinetics parameters were obtained: K_m=( 164. 867 ± 0. 001) mg/L; vmax=( 0. 595 ±0. 001) mg/( L·min).展开更多

Four static piles were prepared inside a greenhouse: two containing whole waste and two consisting of shredded waste. All the piles were compared with a test pile containing whole waste and placed outside the greenhouse. In two cases, ventilation ducts were installed to improve aeration. Each greenhouse was 2.0 m wide, 3.5 m long and 1.16 m high. The air temperature and relative humidity were monitored both inside and outside the greenhouse. Mass, humidity, organic matter and total nitrogen in the waste were measured. Piles inside the greenhouse showed decreases of 80% and 75% in weight and volume, respectively, during the first 16 days. The data obtained in this work suggest that biodrying could improve the handling and transport of horticultural waste while also minimizing the impact of pollutants.展开更多
