According to the fact that the multiple scattering component of radiance is less sensitive to the error of phase function than the single scattering component is,we calculate the multiple scattering component by using delta-Eddington approximation and the single scattering component by solving radiative transfer equation. On the ground, when multiple sattering component is small, for example, when the total optical depth T is small, the accurate radiance can be obtained with this method. For the need of the space remote sensing, the upward radiance at the top of the atmosphere is mainly studied, and an approximate expression is presented to correct the multiple scattering component. Compared with the more precise Gauss-Seidel method.the results from this method show an accuracy of better than 10% when zenith angle 0 < 50 掳 and T < 1. The computational speed of this method is, however, much faster than that of Gauss-Seidel method.展开更多

For this reason, we put forward the concept of lime monotony and spatial monotony, and then derive several sufficient conditions for nionotonic solutions in lime dimension for 3-D passive heal conduction equations with a group of finite difference schemes. For some special boundary conditions and regular element meshes, the lower and upper bounds for can be obtained from those conditions so that reasonable numerical solutions are guaranteed. Spatial monotony is also discussed. Finally, the lumped mass method is analyzed. We creatively give several new criteria for the finite element solutions of a class of parabolic equation represented by heal conduction equation.展开更多

Analytical methods have been widely applied in prediction of groundwa- ter inflow to tunnels due to their simplicity and practical base theory. Investigations show that the real amount of water infiltrating into jointed tunnels is much less than calculated amount using analytical methods and obtained results are very dependent on tunnel's geometry and environmental situations. In this study, using multiple regression analysis, a new empirical model for estimation of groundwater seepage into circular tunnels was introduced. Our data was acquired from field surveys and laboratory analysis of core samples. New regression variables were defined after perusing single and two variables relationship between groundwater seepage and other variables. Finally, an appropriate model for estima- tion of leakage was obtained using the stepwise algorithm. Statistics like R, R2, R2e and the histogram of residual values in the model represent a good reputation and fitness for this model to estimate the groundwater seepage into tunnels. The new experimental model was used for the test data and results were satisfactory. Therefore, multiple regression analysis is an effective and efficient way to estimate the groundwater seeoage into tunnels.展开更多

A method using X-ray pulsars to determine the initial orbit of a satellite is presented in this paper. This method suggests only one detector to be equipped on the satellite and assumes that the detector observes three pulsars in turn. To improve the performance, the use of incremental phase in one observation duration is proposed, and the incremental phase is combined with the time difference of arrival(TDOA). Then, a weighted least squares(WLS) algorithm is formulated to calculate the initial orbit. Numerical simulations are performed to assess the proposed orbit determination method.展开更多
