A new adaptive co-site broadband interference cancellation method with auxiliary channel

With the boom of the communication systems on some independent platforms(such as satellites,space stations,airplanes,and vessels),co-site interference is becoming prominent.The adaptive interference cancellation method has been adopted to solve the co-site interference problem.But the broadband interference cancellation performance of traditional Adaptive Co-site Interference Cancellation System(ACICS)with large delay mismatching and antenna sway is relatively poor.This study put forward an Adaptive Co-site Broadband Interference Cancellation System With Two Auxiliary Channels(ACBICS-2A).The system model was established,and the steady state weights and Interference Cancellation Ratio(ICR)were deduced by solving a time-varying differential equation.The relationship of ICR,system gain,modulation factor,interference signal bandwidth and delay mismatching degree was acquired through an in-depth analysis.Compared with traditional adaptive interference cancellation system,the proposed ACBICS-2A can improve broadband interference cancellation ability remarkably with large delay mismatching and antenna sway for the effect of auxiliary channel.The maximum improved ICR is more than 25 dB.Finally,the theoretical and simulation results were verified by experiments. 展开更多

Millimeter wave(mmWave)massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)plays an important role in the fifth-generation(5G)mobile communications and beyond wireless communication systems owing to its potential of high capacity.However,channel estimation has become very challenging due to the use of massive MIMO antenna array.Fortunately,the mmWave channel has strong sparsity in the spatial angle domain,and the compressed sensing technology can be used to convert the original channel matrix into the sparse matrix of discrete angle grid.Thus the high-dimensional channel matrix estimation is transformed into a sparse recovery problem with greatly reduced computational complexity.However,the path angle in the actual scene appears randomly and is unlikely to be completely located on the quantization angle grid,thus leading to the problem of power leakage.Moreover,multiple paths with the random distribution of angles will bring about serious interpath interference and further deteriorate the performance of channel estimation.To address these off-grid issues,we propose a parallel interference cancellation assisted multi-grid matching pursuit(PIC-MGMP)algorithm in this paper.The proposed algorithm consists of three stages,including coarse estimation,refined estimation,and inter-path cyclic iterative inter-ference cancellation.More specifically,the angular resolution can be improved by locally refining the grid to reduce power leakage,while the inter-path interference is eliminated by parallel interference cancellation(PIC),and the two together improve the estimation accuracy.Simulation results show that compared with the traditional orthogonal matching pursuit(OMP)algorithm,the normalized mean square error(NMSE)of the proposed algorithm decreases by over 14dB in the case of 2 paths. 展开更多

The chloride channel 7 gene(CLC 7)of the Hong Kong oyster Crassostrea hongkongensis was cloned and named ChCLC 7.The cDNA was 2572 bp in length,with a 5′non-coding region containing 25 bp,a 3′non-coding region containing 327 bp,and an open reading frame of 2298 bp.ChCLC 7 has 96.8%and 92.1%homology with CLC 7 of Crassostrea gigas and Crassostrea virginica,respectively,and it was clustered with CLC 7 of C.gigas and C.virginica.QRT-PCR showed that ChCLC 7 was expressed in all eight tissues,with the highest in adductor muscle and second in gill.The ChCLC 7 expression pattern in gill was altered significantly under high salinity stress with an overall upward and then downward trend.After RNA interference,the expression of ChCLC 7 and survival rate of oyster under high salinity stress was reduced significantly,and so did the concentration of hemolymph chloride ion in 48-96 h after RNA interference.We believed that ChCLC 7 could play an important role in osmoregulation of C.hongkongensis by regulating Cl^(-)transport.This study provided data for the analysis of molecular mechanism against oyster salinity stress. 展开更多

To improve the anti-jamming and interference mitigation ability of the UAV-aided communication systems, this paper investigates the channel selection optimization problem in face of both internal mutual interference and external malicious jamming. A cooperative anti-jamming and interference mitigation method based on local altruistic is proposed to optimize UAVs’ channel selection. Specifically, a Stackelberg game is modeled to formulate the confrontation relationship between UAVs and the jammer. A local altruistic game is modeled with each UAV considering the utilities of both itself and other UAVs. A distributed cooperative anti-jamming and interference mitigation algorithm is proposed to obtain the Stackelberg equilibrium. Finally, the convergence of the proposed algorithm and the impact of the transmission power on the system loss value are analyzed, and the anti-jamming performance of the proposed algorithm can be improved by around 64% compared with the existing algorithms. 展开更多

A method based on the maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) criterion is proposed to estimate the channel frequency response (CFR) matrix and interference- plus-noise spatial covariance matrix (SCM) for multiple input and multiple output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) systems. An iterative solution is proposed to solve the MAP-based problem and an interference rejection combining (IRC) receiver is derived to suppress co-channel interference (CCI) based on the estimated CFR and SCM. Furthermore, considering the property of SCM, i. e., Hermitian and semi-definite, two schemes are proposed to improve the accuracy of SCM estimation. The first scheme is proposed to parameterize the SCM via a sum of a series of matrices in the time domain. The second scheme measures the SCM on each subcarrier as a low-rank model while the model order can be chosen through the penalized-likelihood approach. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

This paper explores the multi-frequency independent channel interference alignment(MFC-IA) system of 3 channels and4 users,and single data stream transmit,i.e.(3×3,1)~4 system.We derive the analytic solution for(3×3,1)~4 MFC-IA system.Based on the analytic solution,an optimization problem is proposed aim at the optimal IA solution.Then based on such a math model,we propose a simulated annealing(SA) algorithm to search optimal IA solution.The simulation results show that the simulated annealing IA algorithm has a better sum rate performance than iterative maximize signal to interference plus noise ratio(Max-SINR) algorithm.This result can be extended to single data stream multi-antenna IA system with 3 antennas and4 users. 展开更多

Co-frequency and co-time full duplex(CCFD) is a promising technique for improving spectral efficiency in next generation wireless communication systems. However, for the applications of CCFD in a cellular network, severe co-channel interference is an essential problem. Specifically, there are two significant interferences, i.e., inter-terminal interference(ITI) and inter-cell interference(ICI), which lead to an obvious performance degradation. In this paper, two techniques are proposed for suppressing the ITI and ICI in a CCFD cellular system, respectively. The first technique is obtained by modeling the three-node CCFD system as the Z-channel. After deriving the sum-capacity of the Z-channel, a sum-capacity-achieving scheme based on successive interference cancellation(SIC) is proposed. The second technique is designed by combining the fractional frequency reuse scheme with CCFD. The performance gains of the proposed two techniques in terms of signalto-interference plus noise ratio(SINR) and sumcapacity are analyzed. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can achieve significant interference suppression performance and higher system capacity, especially for cell edge users. 展开更多

Achieving reliable underwater communication in shallow water acoustic channels is a difficult task because of the random time varying nature of multipath propagation, severe amplitude fluctuation, and spatial variability of the channel conditions. This paper describes a new signal processing technique frequency coding and decoding by means of real time measurement of signal width, jamming and suppressing multipath interference and using redundant coder. The application of the technique to the model ZTY 1 status monitor for underwater system of seabed is introduced in this paper. The main principle, the technique specifications and the key techniques of the system are discussed here. Theoretical estimations and experimental results proved that the performance of the system is excellent. The method can be used for some other related low data rate data transmission detecting in shallow water acoustic channel. 展开更多

This paper mainly focuses on the "amplify-and-forward" (AF) relaying strategy for relay, and derives upper bound and lower bound on achievable sum rate accordingly. Next, the application of the above model in cognitive radio (CR) networks is considered. The schemes that can ensure the coexistence of the secondary user with the primary user are proposed, in the sense that there is no rate degradation for the primary user due to sharing of the channel. Improving capacity and reducing delay are the most challenging topics in wireless ad hoc networks. Nodes that equip multiple radios working on different channels simultaneously permit ef-fective utility of frequency spectrum and can also reduce interference. In this paper, after analyzing several current protocols in Multi-Radio Multi-Channel (MR-MC) ad hoc networks, a new multi-channel routing metric called Integrative Route Metric (IRM) is designed. It takes channel load, inter-flow, and intra-flow interference into consideration. In addition, an MR-MC routing protocol based on Interference-Aware and Channel-Load (MR-IACL) is also presented. The MR-IACL can assign channels and routings for nodes according to channel load and interference degree of links, and optimize channel distribution dynamically to satisfy the features of topology changing and traffic frequent fluctuation during network running. The simulation results show that the new protocol outperforms others in terms of network throughput, end-to-end delay, routing overhead, and network lifetime. 展开更多

Low Earth Orbit(LEO)multibeam satellites will be widely used in the next generation of satellite communication systems,whose inter-beam interference will inevitably limit the performance of the whole system.Nonlinear precoding such as Tomlinson-Harashima precoding(THP)algorithm has been proved to be a promising technology to solve this problem,which has smaller noise amplification effect compared with linear precoding.However,the similarity of different user channels(defined as channel correlation)will degrade the performance of THP algorithm.In this paper,we qualitatively analyze the inter-beam interference in the whole process of LEO satellite over a specific coverage area,and the impact of channel correlation on Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR)of receivers when THP is applied.One user grouping algorithm is proposed based on the analysis of channel correlation,which could decrease the number of users with high channel correlation in each precoding group,thus improve the performance of THP.Furthermore,our algorithm is designed under the premise of co-frequency deployment and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM),which leads to more users under severe inter-beam interference compared to the existing research on geostationary orbit satellites broadcasting systems.Simulation results show that the proposed user grouping algorithm possesses higher channel capacity and better bit error rate(BER)performance in high SNR conditions relative to existing works. 展开更多

Channel assignment has emerged as an essential study subject in Cognitive Radio-basedWireless Mesh Networks(CR-WMN).In an era of alarming increase in Multi-Radio Multi-Channel(MRMC)network expansion interference is decreased and network throughput is significantly increased when non-overlapping or partially overlapping channels are correctly integrated.Because of its ad hoc behavior,dynamic channel assignment outperforms static channel assignment.Interference reduces network throughput in the CR-WMN.As a result,there is an extensive research gap for an algorithm that dynamically distributes channels while accounting for all types of interference.This work presents a method for dynamic channel allocations using unsupervisedMachine Learning(ML)that considers both coordinated and uncoordinated interference.Unsupervised machine learning uses coordinated and non-coordinated interference for dynamic channel allocation.To determine the applicability of the proposed strategy in reducing channel interference while increasingWMNthroughput,a comparison analysis was performed.When the simulation results of our proposed algorithm are compared to those of the Routing Channel Assignment(RCA)algorithm,the throughput of our proposed algorithm has increased by 34%compared to both coordinated and non-coordinated interferences. 展开更多

The internal interference is that simultaneous traffic activity by neighboring nodes in the same network, while the external interference is from wireless transmissions by other types of devices, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth nodes. In this paper, we present two channel hopping algorithms for multichannel, single-radio wireless sensor networks. The first algorithm achieves collision-free transmission environment while do not introduce extra control overhead. The second algorithm, in addition to reducing internal interference effects, reduces the external interference effects from Wi-Fi devices. Simulation results show that both of them significantly improve performance in wireless sensor network. 展开更多

The time difference of arrival(TDOA)estimation plays a crucial role in the accurate localization of the satellite interference source.In the dual-satellites interference source localization system,the target signal from the adjacent satellite is likely to be interfered by the normal communication signal with the same frequency.Therefore,the signal to noise ratio(SNR)of the target signal would become too low,and the TDOA estimation through cross-correlation processing would be unreliable or even unattainable.This paper proposes a technique based on blind separation to solve the co-channel interference problem,where separation of the mixed signal can be carried out by the particle filter(PF)algorithm.The experimental results show that the proposed method could achieve more accurate TDOA estimation.The measured data obtained by using the software radio platform at 915 MHz and 2 GHz respectively verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

User Selection Algorithms for Lowering Cross-Tier Interference in Heterogeneous Network

To lower the cross-tier intercell interference(ICI) between macrocell and microcell,three user selection algorithms for the heterogeneous network were proposed in this paper, assuming full knowledge of channelstate information at the transmitter. Algorithm 1 chooses microcell users whose interference channel matrix is parallel to that of a known user and targets at increasing user SINR. Algorithm 2 takes effect of chordal distance-channel norm balance on the system into account and predetermines the available user set from which it can choose service users. With comprehensive considerations to effect of interference signal and useful signal on system, Algorithm 3 set a weighting function as the objective function of user selection. Simulation results demonstrated that all three proposed algorithms could achieve user diversity gain while lowering cross-tier interference. 展开更多
