In order to make full use of the superiority of decoupling combustion technology, the household stoves should be specially designed and optimized to adapt to fuel types and combustion characteristics. Using numerical simulation and experimental validation, this study quantitatively clarified that the reducibility of devolatilization char plays an important role in the suppression of NO emission in the decoupling combustion of coal, while the reducibility of pyrolysis gases has a dominant effect on the reduction of NO in the decoupling combustion of biomass. An optimal parameter combination of throat height and grate angle was obtained for the simultaneous suppression of NO and CO emissions in the household decoupling stove burning coal briquettes. Two types of decoupling stoves were developed to enable the clean combustion of biomass pellets. The A-type biomass stove with a multi-pass smoke tunnel shows a better comprehensive NO and CO reduction effectiveness than the B-type biomass stove consisting of a two-stage grate structure and an S-shaped pyrolysis chamber. The optimal structural parameters provided references for the design and manufacture of commercial decoupling coal and biomass stoves.展开更多

The combustion characteristics with different mixing ratios were also investigated. The physical and chemical properties of the four samples were investigated in depth using particle size analysis, Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence analysis, and Raman spectroscopy. The results show that the conversion rate of the three kinds of pulverized coals is far greater than that of the BD. The comprehensive combustion characteristics of the three types of pulverized coals rank in the order SH > PL > YQ. With the addition of BD, the characteristic parameters of the combustion reaction of the blend showed an increasing trend. The Coats–Redfern model used in this study fit well with the experimental results. As the BD addition increased from 5 wt% to 10 wt%, the activation energy of combustion reactions decreased from 68.50 to 66.74 k J/mol for SH, 118.34 to 110.75 kJ/mol for PL, and 146.80 to 122.80 kJ/mol for YQ. These results also provide theoretical support for the practical application of blast furnace dust for blast furnace injection.展开更多

The reaction kinetics mechanisms between UPC and CO2 in an isothermal experiment in the temperature range 1000–1100°C were investigated. The combustion performance of unburned pulverized coal made from bituminous coal (BUPC) was better than that of unburned pulverized coal made from anthracite (AUPC). The combustion characteristic indexes (S) of BUPC and AUPC are 0.47 × 10^-6 and 0.34 × 10^-6 %2·min^-2·°C^-3, respectively, and the combustion reaction apparent activation energies are 91.94 and 102.63 kJ·mol^-1, respectively. In this study, the combustion behaviors of different mixing ratio of Shenhua coal with 20 μm and 74 μm particle size in the O2/CO2 atmosphere and air atmosphere were studied by using a thermal-gravimetric analyzer. The combustion characteristics such as ignition and burnout behavior were investigated in the temperature from 20℃ to 850℃. The influence of mixing ratio on combustion characteristics was conduced. The results obtained showed that the ignition temperature of the two kinds of particle size in O2/CO2 atmosphere is higher than in the air, while the activation energy in O2/CO2 atmosphere is lower. With the increasing ratio of 20 μm superfine pulverized coals, the ignition temperature and the activation energy decreased, while the DTG peak value increased, the maximum burning rate position advanced. There were three trends for the ignition temperature curve with the increasing of superfine coal ratio: the ignition of the mixed coal decreased rapidly, then changed less, at last reduced quickly.展开更多

Results show that the YQ combustion characteristics are not significantly affected by an increase in chlorine content. Data acquired for combustion conversion are then further processed for kinetic analysis. Average apparent activation energies determined using the model-free method(specifically the KAS method) are 103.025, 110.250, 99.906, and 110.641 k J/mol, respectively, and the optimal kinetic model for describing the combustion process of chlorine-containing YQ is the nucleation kinetic model, as determined by the z(α) master plot method. The mechanism function of the nucleation kinetic model is then employed to estimate the pre-exponential factor, by making use of the compensation effect. The kinetic models to describe chlorine-containing YQ combustion are thus obtained through advanced determination of the optimal mechanism function, average apparent activation energy, and the pre-exponential factor.展开更多

For further interpreting the devolatilization and the char combustion processes of RDF quantitatively, an unsteady combustion model for single RDF pellet, involving reaction rates, heat transfer and oxygen diffusion in the RDF pellet, was developed. Comparisons of simulation results with experimental data for mass loss of the RDF samples made from municipal solid waste, wood chips and poly propylene when they were heated at 10K/min or put into the furnace under 1?073?K show the verifiability of the model. Using this model, the distributions of the temperature and the reaction ratio along the radius of RDF pellet during the devolatilization process and the char combustion process were presented, and discussion about the inference of heating rate on the combustion characteristics were performed.展开更多

These results also provide theoretical support for the practical application of blast furnace dust for blast furnace injection.

文摘The combustion characteristics of two kinds of unburned pulverized coal (UPC) made from bituminous coal and anthracite were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis under air. The reaction mechanism of BUPC with CO2 is random nucleation and growth, and the apparent activation energy is 96.24 kJ·mol^-1. By contrast, the reaction mechanism of AUPC with CO2 follows the shrinkage spherical function model and the apparent activation energy is 133.55 kJ·mol^-1.
文摘The decomposition and combustion characteristics of ammonium dinitramide (ADN) based non-toxic aerospace propellant are analytically studied to determine the effects of catalytic bed structure (slenderness ratio) and operation parameters (mass fraction ratio of ADN/CH3OH) on the general performance within the ADN-based thruster. In the present research, the non-equilibrium temperature model is utilized to describe the heat transfer characteristics between the fluid phase and solid phase in the fixed bed. We determined the fluid resistance characteristics in the catalytic bed by experiments involving the method of pressure-mass. We have done the simulation study based on the available results in the literature and found the complex physical and chemical processes within the ADN thruster. Furthermore, an optimized catalytic bed slenderness ratio was observed w让h a value of 1.75 and the mass fraction ratio of 5.73 significantly influenced the propellant performance. These results could serve as a reference to explore the combustion characteristics within the thruster and the preparation of future propellants.
文摘The pulverized coal combustion in O2/CO2 atmosphere is one of the promising new technologies which can reduce the emission of carbon dioxide and NOx. There were three trends for the ignition temperature curve with the increasing of superfine coal ratio: the ignition of the mixed coal decreased rapidly, then changed less, at last reduced quickly.

文摘The combustion process of Yangquan anthracite(YQ) with the addition of 0.045wt%, 0.211wt%, 1.026wt%, and 2.982wt% chlorine was investigated using a thermogravimetric method from an ambient temperature to 1173 K in an air atmosphere. The kinetic models to describe chlorine-containing YQ combustion are thus obtained through advanced determination of the optimal mechanism function, average apparent activation energy, and the pre-exponential factor.

文摘Thermo-gravimetric-analysis(TGA) was used to analyze the combustion characteristics of an oil shale and semi-cokes prepared from it.The effect of prior pyrolysis and TGA heating rate on the combustion process was studied.Prior pyrolysis affects the initial temperature of mass loss and the ignition temperature. The ignition temperature increases as the volatile content of the sample decreases.TG/DTG curves obtained at different heating rates show that heating rate has little effect on ignition temperature. But the peak of combustion shifts to higher temperatures as the heating rate is increased. The Coats-Redfern integration method was employed to find the combustion-reaction kinetic parameters for the burning of oil shale and oil shale semi-coke.

文摘An experimental investigation was conducted on combustion characteristics of a single cylinder spark ignition engine fueled with coal-mine methane (CMM).The CMM was simulated by the compressed nature gas (CNG)/nitrogen blend fuels. The cylinder pressure was measured. The maximum heat release ratio, the flame development duration and the main combustion duration were analyzed with the nitrogen volume fraction in the blends changing from 0% to 35%.The results indicate that the maximum cylinder pressure, the maximum rate of pressure, the flame development duration and the main combustion duration increase and the maximum rate of heat release decreases with increasing nitrogen fraction. When the level of nitrogen volume fraction in coalmine methane is lower than 20%,the combustion process of engine is stable. But with the level of nitrogen volume fraction over 30%,the cycle to cycle combustion variation is large, especially under low load condition.

文摘Various semicokes were obtained from medium-low temperature pyrolysis of Dongrong long flame coal. The proximate analysis, calorific value and Hardgrove grindability index(HGI) of semicokes were determined, and the ignition temperature, burnout temperature, ignition index, burnout index, burnout ratio, combustion characteristic index of semicokes were measured and analyzed using thermogravimetry analysis(TGA).The effects of pyrolysis temperature, heating rate, and pyrolysis time on yield, composition and calorific value of long flame coal derived semicokes were investigated, especially the influence of pyrolysis temperature on combustion characteristics and grindability of the semicokes was studied combined with X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis of semicokes. The results show that the volatile content, ash content and calorific value of semicokes pyrolyzed at all process parameters studied meet the technical specifications of the pulverized coal-fired furnaces(PCFF) referring to China Standards GB/T 7562-1998.The pyrolysis temperature is the most influential factor among pyrolysis process parameters. As pyrolysis temperature increases, the yield, ignition index, combustion reactivity and burnout index of semicokes show a decreasing tend, but the ash content increases. In the range of 400 and 450 °C,the grindability of semicokes is rational, especially the grindability of semicokes pyrolyzed at 450 °C is suitable.Except for the decrease of volatile content and increase of ash content, the decrease of combustion performance of semicokes pyrolyzed at higher temperature should be attributed to the improvement of the degree of structural ordering and the increase of aromaticity and average crystallite size of char.It is concluded that the semicokes pyrolyzed at the temperature of 450 °C is the proper fuel for PCFF.

文摘Pyrolysis and combustion characteristics of three different oil cakes such as Pongamia(Pongamia Pinnata),Madhuca(Madhuca Indica),and Jatropha(Jatropha curcas) were investigated in this study. The cellulose and lignin contents of oil cakes play very important role in pyrolysis and combustion processes.A kinetic investigation of three oil cakes was carried out and major part of the samples decomposed between 210℃ and 500℃.Pyrolysis and combustion were carried out with the mixtures of cellulose and lignin chemicals in different ratios and compared with the oil cakes. The biomass with higher cellulose content showed faster rate of pyrolysis than the biomass with higher lignin content. However at higher temperatures(>600℃) all the oil cakes exhibited similar conversion at low heating rate in N2 atmosphere.Apparent activation energies increased for Madhuca and Pongamia oil cakes indicating the presence of more cellulose whereas, low activation energy of Jatropha confirms more lignin content.
文摘Fundamental studies of the combustion characteristics and the de HCl behavior of a single refuse derived fuel(RDF) pellet were carried out to explain the de HCl phenomena of RDF during fluidized bed combustion and to provide data for the development of high efficiency power generation technology using RDF previously. Using this model, the distributions of the temperature and the reaction ratio along the radius of RDF pellet during the devolatilization process and the char combustion process were presented, and discussion about the inference of heating rate on the combustion characteristics were performed.
