Factors that influence shaft stability were obtained. The numerical simulation program FLAC3D was used to simulate the destruction of the deep shaft insert. Two different support methods were analyzed by simulation. The simulations demonstrate that a single stiffness support is inappropriate for this shaft insert. The appropriate support method is an integrated coupling method of rigid and flexible supports. The flexible support is applied first and then the rigid support is second. Engineering practice in the Xing'an Coal Mine shows that this technology can effectively control deep-shaft insert deterioration. This support approach provides an important direction for future project design and construction, as well.展开更多

In the optimum design of semi-deep foundations, prediction of the shaft bearing capacity, rs, of foundations socketed in rocks is thus critically important. In this study, the unconfined compressive strength(UCS), qu, has been applied in order to investigate the shaft bearing capacity. For this, a database of 106 full-scale load tests is compiled with UCS values of surrounding rocks, in which 34 tests with rock quality designation(RQD), and 5 tests with rock mass rating(RMR). The bearing rocks for semi-deep foundations include limestone, mudstone, siltstone, shale, granite, tuff, granodiorite, claystone, sandstone, phyllite, schist, and greywacke. Using the database, the applicability and accuracy of the existing empirical methods are evaluated and new relations are derived between the shaft bearing capacity and UCS based on the types of rocks. Moreover, a general equation in case of unknown rock types is proposed and it is verified by another set of data. Since rock-socketed shafts are supported by rock mass(not intact rock), a reduction factor for the compressive strength is suggested and verified in which the effect of discontinuities is considered using the modified UCS, qu(modified), based upon RMR and RQD in order to take into account the effect of the rock mass properties.展开更多

The effects of the fluctuation of the cutting force, the mass eccentricity and the hydrodynamic forces of cutting fluid could be taken into consideration in the model of drilling shaft system. Based on the isoparametric finite element method, the variational form of Reynolds equation in hydrodynamic fluid was used to calculate nonlinear hydrodynamic forces and their Jacobian matrices simultaneously. In the stability analysis, a new shooting method for rapidly determining the periodic orbit of the nonlinear drilling shaft system and its period was presented by rebuilding the traditional shooting method and changing the time scale. Through the combination of theories with experiment, the correctness and effectiveness of the above methods are verified by using the Floquet theory. Groundwater with volume of 700 m3 was generally pumping a day to prevent the shafts from submerging in 2012 following the excavating. As a result of pumping the groundwater, the ground water level lowered to 60 m in the borehole with the distance of 200 m from the excavating shafts in 2012. Leveling network extending 2 km × 2 km around the shafts was established to detect the vertical deformation around the shafts in 2004, and precise leveling was done every year. An 18 mm ground subsidence was detected in the benchmark close to the shafts for 8 years in 2004-2012, and time series of subsidence at benchmark was consistent with the groundwater drawdown. The groundwater drawdown and ground subsidence were caused by the pumping ground water in excavating shafts.展开更多

The influences of design parameters on flow fields and the mixing effect are analyzed. Firstly, the prediction capability of the turbulence model adopted in simulations is evaluated. And then, the mesh independence is checked up. Finally, the flow fields in various dimensionless blade diameters and dimensionless shaft spans are numerically simulated respectively. The results have shown that the numerical simulation method based on CFD is a feasible assistance for the optimal designs of mixers. Moreover, the optimal design of the blade diameter should take into account both the flow field and the power consumption. The optimization of the shaft span is to achieve a relatively even distribution of the flow field without any rupture. With the consideration of an optimal design, the dimensionless blade diameter and dimensionless shaft span should be 0.45 and 0.57 respectively in the case.展开更多

In this study, the unconfined compressive strength(UCS) and rock mass cuttability index(RMCI) have been applied to investigating the shaft bearing capacity. For this purpose, a comprehensive database of 178 full-scale load tests is compiled by adding a data set(n = 72)collected by Arioglu et al.(2007) to the data set(n = 106) presented in Rezazadeh and Eslami(2017).Using the database, the applicability and accuracy of the existing empirical methods are evaluated and new relations are derived between the shaft bearing capacity and UCS/RMCI. Moreover, a general equation in case of unknown rock types is proposed and it is verified by another set of data(series 3 in Rezazadeh and Eslami(2017)). Since rock-socketed shafts are supported by rock mass(not intact rock),a reduction factor for the compressive strength is suggested and verified in which the effect of discontinuities is considered using the modified UCS, based upon RMR and RQD to consider the effect of the rock mass properties.展开更多

文摘An alluvium with a sandy aquifer at the bottom, but lacking an effective impermeable layer between the sandy aquifer and bedrock is referred to as a special alluvial stratum.Impacted by the drainage of the aquifer due to mining activities,a shaft wall in this special alluvial stratum will be subject to a downward load by an additional vertical force which must be taken into consideration in the design of the shaft wall. The complexity of interaction between shaft wall and the surrounding walls makes it extremely difficult to determine this additional vertical force. For a particular shaft wall in an extra-thick alluvium and assuming that the friction coefficient between shaft wall and stratum does not change with depth,an analysis of a numerical simulation of the stress within the shaft wall has been carried out.Growth and size of the additional vertical stress have been obtained, based on specific values of the friction coefficient, the modulus of elasticity of the drainage layer and the thickness of the drainage layer.Subsequently, the safety of shaft walls with different structural types was studied and a more suitable structural design, providing an important basis for the design of shaft walls,is promoted.

文摘<div style="text-align:justify;"> In most cases, copper ore deposits occur at great depths, so the optimization of excavation costs is of utmost importance to identify the most cost effective and productive mining methods, such as block caving or similar methods specifically developed for these deposits. To be able to apply such methods, it is necessary to have a detailed knowledge of the rock mass in terms of its geomechanical, engineering geological and hydrogeological characteristics. This research aims to reduce geological and geotechnical unknowns, analyze in detail the geological environment, and predict geotechnical conditions for the construction of the shaft. This paper uses the example of Borska Reka Copper Deposit, located in Serbia to illustrate the importance of geotechnical investigation to enable best practice in design and construction of shafts that are over 1000 m deep. </div>
文摘Two 500 m deep investigation shafts were excavating in the granite body in Mizunami, central Japan by JAEA (Japan Nuclear Cycle Development Institute) in 2004-2012. The groundwater drawdown and ground subsidence were caused by the pumping ground water in excavating shafts.
文摘Vertical shaft is main form of drivage in deep mineral depoist. They also serve as the entrance into and the exit from the underground mine. The main problems in shaft and tunnel engineering is to solve the contradiction between drivage and lining. The measurement of blasting vibration affecting concrete lining strength of vertical shaft is carried out in experiment and theory in this paper.
文摘The damage of the overburden is a complex nonliear mechanical problem. To immediately master the stress state of the vertical shaft in process of the damage of overburden, and protect the shaft, in this paper, a series of new type of rock mass stress and strain compatible sensors are used. The vertical shaft wall mechanical parameter and surrounding mechanical parameter are calculated by the result of the measurement. A set of the calculation method of the vertical shaft and surrounding rock parameter are defined.

文摘According to the characteristics of deep engineering surrounding rock main shaftof No.3 mining district in Jinchuan, electron microscope scanning and rock mechanics testwere adopted to analyze the damage features of rock. The software of FLAC^(3D) and Burgersbody (Kelvin-Maxwell model) were used to research on rheological theory, and rheologicalmodel was modified. The results indicate that the damage of rock mass is very serious, andthe rheological characteristics also outstanding; rheological behavior of deep surroundingrocks of the shaft can be taken as superposition of transient and stable rheology; and thereexist the most dangerous zone on 100 m higher than 1 063 m level, so it is necessity thatworks of monitor and corresponding reinforcement should strengthen.

文摘In the paper the three-dimensional flow fields are numerically simulated in the vertical-shaft mechanical mix tank of a water treatment plant by means of FLUENT software based on the method of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). With the consideration of an optimal design, the dimensionless blade diameter and dimensionless shaft span should be 0.45 and 0.57 respectively in the case.
文摘Semi-deep foundations socketed in rocks are considered to be a viable option for the foundations in the presence of heavy loads imposed by high-rise buildings and special structures, due to the low settlement and high bearing capacity. Since rock-socketed shafts are supported by rock mass(not intact rock),a reduction factor for the compressive strength is suggested and verified in which the effect of discontinuities is considered using the modified UCS, based upon RMR and RQD to consider the effect of the rock mass properties.
