Deformation of the flexspline is the basis of analyzing tooth trajectory and designing tooth profile.Considering the tooth influence on the position of equivalent neutral layer,a piecewise method for calculating the deformation of flexspline assembled with a cam wave generator is presented in this paper.Firstly,a mechanic model of a ring of uniform thickness in contact with a rigid cam is established.The displacements of the ring inside and outside an unknown wrapping angle are determined by the geometric constraints of the cam profile and the equilibrium rela-tionship,respectively.Meanwhile,the wrapping angle is solved according to the boundary conditions.The assembly forces are derived to investigate the circumferential elongation and strain.Then,considering the tooth effects on the neutral layer of flexspline,the tooth is positioned on the equivalent neutral layer,which is the non-elongation layer within one gear pitch but offset from the geometric mid-layer.The equivalent neutral layer is positioned by the empirical formula of the offset ratio,which is summarized by the orthogonal simulation on finite element models of racks.Finally,finite element models of a ring-shaped and a cup-shaped flexspline assembled with elliptical cam are established to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the piecewise method.The results show that,compared with the geometric method,the tooth positioning deviation calculated by the piecewise method can be reduced by about 70%with a more accurate deformation description from the geometric condition and mechanic condition inside and outside the wrapping angle. 展开更多

The force analysis of overconstrained PMs is relatively complex and difficult, for which the methods have always been a research hotspot. However, few literatures analyze the characteristics and application scopes of the various methods, which is not convenient for researchers and engineers to master and adopt them properly. A review of the methods for force analysis of both passive and active overconstrained PMs is presented. The existing force analysis methods for these two kinds of overconstrained PMs are classified according to their main ideas. Each category is briefly demonstrated and evaluated from such aspects as the calculation amount, the comprehensiveness of considering limbs' deformation, and the existence of explicit expressions of the solutions, which provides an important reference for researchers and engineers to quickly find a suitable method. The similarities and differences between the statically indeterminate problem of passive overconstrained PMs and that of active overconstrained PMs are discussed, and a universal method for these two kinds of overconstrained PMs is pointed out.The existing deficiencies and development directions of the force analysis methods for overconstrained systems are indicated based on the overview. 展开更多

Previously research works are focused on the laying pipe wear-resisting. Laying pipe curve design method based on wire rod kinematics and dynamics analyses are not reported before. In order to design and manufacture the laying pipe, the motion and force process of the wire rod in the laying pipe should be studied. In this paper, a novel approach is proposed to investigate the force modeling for hot-rolled wire rod in laying pipe. An idea of limited element method is used to analysis and calculates the forces between laying pipe inner surface and wire rod. The design requirements of laying pipe curve for manufacturing are discussed. The kinematics and dynamics modeling for numerical calculation are built. A laying pipe curve equation is proposed by discussing design boundary conditions. Numerical results with di erent laying pipe curves design parameters are plotted and compared. The proposed approach performs good result which can be applied for laying pipe curve design and analysis for engineering application. 展开更多

The axial magnetic force is designed to provide an axial stiffness and govern the natural frequency of the dynamic performance. The driving force of water resource stress change based on the STIRPAT model:take Zhangye City as a case study 被引量:1

A prominent contradiction between supply and demand of water resources has restricted local development in social and economic aspects of Zhangye City,located in a typical arid region of China.Our study quantified the Water Resource Stress Index(WRSI)from 2003 to 2017 and examined the factors of population,urbanization level,GDP per capita,Engel coefficient,and water consumption per unit of GDP by using the extended stochastic impact by regression on population,affluence and technology(STIRPAT)model to find the key factors that impact WRSI of Zhangye City to relieve the pressure on water resources.The ridge regression method is applied to improve this model to eliminate multicollinearity problems.The WRSI system was developed from the following three aspects:water resources utilization(WR),regional economic development water use(WU),and water environment stress(WE).Results show that the WRSI index has fallen from 0.81(2003)to 0.17(2017),with an average annual decreased rate of 9.8%.Moreover,the absolute values of normalized coefficients demonstrate that the Engel coefficient has the largest positive contribution to increase WRSI with an elastic coefficient of 0.2709,followed by water consumption per unit of GDP and population with elastic coefficients of 0.0971 and 0.0387,respectively.In contrast,the urbanization level and GDP per capita can decrease WRSI by−0.2449 and−0.089,respectively.The decline of WRSI was attributed to water-saving society construction which included the improvement of water saving technology and the adjustment of agricultural planting structures.Furthermore,this study demonstrated the feasibility of evaluating the driving forces affecting WRSI by using the STIRPAT model and ridge regression analysis. 展开更多

To evaluate the rationality of the excavation and support structure design in tunnel engineering, numerical simulation and structural deformation stability analysis in excavation and support in a traffic tunnel are carried out in combination with the practical geological conditions study. The computation results demonstrate that following excavation, the surrounding rock deforms minimally and has a large self-bearing capacity. The shotcrete-bolt structure in the initial support has small deformation and stress, ensuring that it meets the safety and stability requirements. The stress of the secondary lining structure is calculated, which can also meet the structural strength requirements. The traffic tunnel’s supporting system is a practical and cost-effective manner. The proposed study will provide a specific reference for the design and research of the support structures in traffic tunnels. 展开更多

A bimorph piezoelectric beam with periodically variable cross-sections is used for the vibration energy harvesting.The effects of two geometrical parameters on the first band gap of this periodic beam are investigated by the generalized differential quadrature rule(GDQR) method.The GDQR method is also used to calculate the forced vibration response of the beam and voltage of each piezoelectric layer when the beam is subject to a sinusoidal base excitation.Results obtained from the analytical method are compared with those obtained from the finite element simulation with ANSYS,and good agreement is found.The voltage output of this periodic beam over its first band gap is calculated and compared with the voltage output of the uniform piezoelectric beam.It is concluded that this periodic beam has three advantages over the uniform piezoelectric beam,i.e.,generating more voltage outputs over a wide frequency range,absorbing vibration,and being less weight. 展开更多

Choosing viaducts or half-bridges on high-steep slopes is not only conducive to the protection of the surrounding environment, but also conducive to the stability of the slope. Bridges usually choose the form of pile </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">foundation-high pier bridge. This paper uses numerical simulation to study and analyze the bridge pile foundation of the slope section. Relying on actual</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> engineering, use the finite element software ABAQUS6.14 to establish a three-dimensional finite element model to study the bearing mechanism and mechanical characteristics of the pile foundation under vertical load, horizontal load and inclined load, discuss the influence of the nature of the soil around the pile and the stiffness of the pile body on the deformation and internal force of the bridge pile foundation in the slope section. The analysis results show that the horizontal load has a great influence on the horizontal displacement of the pile, but has a small influence on the vertical displacement, and the vertical load is just the opposite. Inclined load has obvious “p-Δ” effect. The increase in soil elastic modulus and pile stiffness will reduce the displacement of the pile foundation, but after reaching a certain range, the displacement of the pile foundation will tend to be stable. Therefore, in actual engineering, if the displacement of the pile foundation fails to meet the requirements, the hardness of the soil and the stiffness of the pile can be appropriately increased, but not blindly. 展开更多

A 16-pole superconducting multipole wiggler with a large gap of 68 mm was designed and fabricated to serve as a multipole wiggler for HEPS-TF.The wiggler consists of 16 pairs of NbTi superconducting coils with a period length of 170 mm,and its maximum peak field is 2.6 Tesla.In magnet design,magnet poles were optimized.Furthermore,the Lorentz force on the coils and electromagnetic force between the upper and lower halves were computed and analyzed along with the stored energy and inductance at different currents.To enhance the critical current of the magnet coil,all the pole coils selected for the magnet exhibited excellent performance,and appropriate prestress derived from the coil force analysis was applied to the pole coils during magnet assembly.The entire magnet structure was immersed in 4.2-K liquid helium in the cryostat cooled solely by four two-stage cryocoolers,and the performance test of the superconducting wiggler was appropriately completed.Based on the measured results,the first and second field integrals on the axis of the superconducting wiggler were significantly improved at different field levels after the compensation of the corrector coils.Subsequently,the wiggler was successfully installed in the storage ring of BEPCII operation with beams. 展开更多

Ion and electron motions in the outer electron diffusion region of collisionless magnetic reconnection

Two-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations are performed to study the coupling between ion and electron motions in collisionless magnetic reconnection.The electron diffusion region(EDR),where the electron motions are demagnetized,is found to have a two-layer structure:an inner EDR near the reconnection site and an outer EDR that is elongated to nearly 10 ion inertial lengths in the outflow direction.In the inner EDR,the speed of the electron outflow increases when the electrons move away from the X line.In the outer EDR,the speed of the electron outflow first increases and then decreases until the electrons reach the boundary of the outer EDR.In the boundary of the outer EDR,the magnetic field piles up and forms a depolarization front.From the perspective of the fluid,a force analysis on the formation of electron and ion outflows has also been investigated.Around the X line,the electrons are accelerated by the reconnection electric field in the out-of-plane direction.When the electrons move away from the X line,we find that the Lorentz force converts the direction of the accelerated electrons to the x direction,forming an electron outflow.Both electric field forces and electron gradient forces tend to drag the electron outflow.Ion acceleration along the x direction is caused by the Lorentz force,whereas the pressure gradient force tends to decelerate the ion outflow.Although these two terms are important,their effects on ions are almost offset.The Hall electric field force does positive work on ions and is not negligible.The ions are continuously accelerated,and the ion and electron outflow velocities are almost the same near the depolarization front. 展开更多

The distribution and dynamic changes of regional or national population data with long time series are very important for regional planning,resource allocation,government decision-making,disaster assessment,ecological protection,and other sustainability research.However,the existing population datasets such as LandScan and WorldPop all provide data from 2000 with limited time series,while GHS-POP only utilizes land use data with limited accuracy.In view of the limited remote sensing images of long time series,it is necessary to combine existing multi-source remote sensing data for population spatialization research.In this research,we developed a nighttime light desaturation index(NTLDI).Through the cross-sensor calibration model based on an autoencoder convolutional neural network,the NTLDl was calibrated with the same period Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite Day/Night Band(VIRS-DNB)data.Then,the geographically weighted regression method is used to determine the population density of China from 1990 to 2020 based on the long time series NTL.Furthermore,the change characteristics and the driving factors of China's population spatial distribution are analyzed.The large-scale,long-term population spatialization results obtained in this study are of great significance in government planning and decision-making,disaster assessment,resource allocation,and other aspects. 展开更多

Flow regimes of two immiscible liquids at the cross junction within a rectangular microchannel are experimentally investigated.Characteristics of the flow regimes including critical conditions and interfacial deformations are presented.It is found that the occurrence of the tubing regime is favored by increased viscosity of the dispersed phase or reduced cross-sectional aspect ratio,leading to the shrinkage of the flow rate range that could produce droplets.In order to reveal the physical mechanism,the force analysis is carried out based on the tunnel structure formed between the interface and channel side walls within the rectangular cross-section.The reshaping stage and pinch-off stage are mainly driven by the interfacial tension,leading to far larger neck thinning rate compared to the superficial velocity of either phase.The filling stage and squeezing stage are dominated by the pressure drop across the dispersed tip while the role of the shear force becomes more important with increasing tunnel width.The filling period is estimated as t2≈kHwn02/Qd with k=1.34 and the squeezing period is expressed as t3/Tc=0.3Cac−1.According to the force analysis,the critical tip velocity under dripping scales with three key parameters,which can be expressed as(utip/U)*~QcLtip/wtunnel3. 展开更多

This paper aims to provide an efficient and straightforward structural form-finding method for designers to extrapolate component forms during the conceptual stage.The core idea is to optimize the classical method of structural form-finding based on principal stress lines by using parametric tools.The traditional operating process of this method relies excessively on the designer’s engineering experience and lacks precision.Meanwhile,the current optimization work for this method is overly complicated for architects,and limitations in component type and final result exist.Therefore,to facilitate an architect’s conceptual work,the optimization metrics of the method in this paper are set as simplicity,practicality,freedom,and rapid feedback.For that reason,this paper optimizes the method from three aspects:modeling strategy for continuum structures,classification processing of data by using the k-nearest neighbor algorithm,and topological form-finding process based on stress lines.Eventually,it allows architects to create structural texture with formal aesthetics and modify it in real time on the basis of structural analysis results.This paper also explores a comprehensive application strategy with internal force analysis diagramming to form-finding.The finite element analysis tool Karamba3D verifies the structural performance of the form-finding method.The performance is compared with that of the conventional form,and the comparison results show the practicality and potential of the strategy in this paper. 展开更多

The model established by this method has good ability to predict such compounds. For CoMFA model, the cross-validated q2 and non-cross-validated r2 values are 0.665 and 0.872, respectively. The best q2 value for CoMSIA model is 0.632 and r2 value is 0.923. Using this information and the three-dimensional equipotential map for molecular design can theoretically obtain some new antibacterial drugs with higher activity. There are two newly designed molecules with activity values of 7.921 and 7.872, which are higher than that of the template molecule No. 12 with an activity value of 7.850, and the QSAR research results can provide a theoretical reference for the synthesis of new drugs. 展开更多
