As a novel paradigm,semantic communication provides an effective solution for breaking through the future development dilemma of classical communication systems.However,it remains an unsolved problem of how to measure...As a novel paradigm,semantic communication provides an effective solution for breaking through the future development dilemma of classical communication systems.However,it remains an unsolved problem of how to measure the information transmission capability for a given semantic communication method and subsequently compare it with the classical communication method.In this paper,we first present a review of the semantic communication system,including its system model and the two typical coding and transmission methods for its implementations.To address the unsolved issue of the information transmission capability measure for semantic communication methods,we propose a new universal performance measure called Information Conductivity.We provide the definition and the physical significance to state its effectiveness in representing the information transmission capabilities of the semantic communication systems and present elaborations including its measure methods,degrees of freedom,and progressive analysis.Experimental results in image transmission scenarios validate its practical applicability.展开更多
In the era of the rapid development of information technology,it is of great significance to study the combination of intelligent tourism industry and information industry and evaluate the intelligent tourism informat...In the era of the rapid development of information technology,it is of great significance to study the combination of intelligent tourism industry and information industry and evaluate the intelligent tourism information service capabilities(ITISC).The purpose of this study is to explore a methodological approach of assessing ITISC,and offer insights into the theoretical investigation and practical development of ITISC.First,factor analysis is used to determine the object of intelligent tourism information service and the key evaluation items of ITISC.Next,analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is applied to the ITISC evaluation of Hanzhong City,a popular tourist attraction in China,as an example to verify the authenticity and operability of the index system.Then,importance-performance analysis is conducted to diagnose the strengths and weaknesses of Hanzhong City’s ITISC construction and some corresponding measures are put forward.The findings suggest that only through the improvement of tourism public database,the establishment of big data analysis system and the application of various forms of mobile intelligent terminal can achieve the generalization of tourism information,seamless,instant,precise and interactive,which will be the development goal of intelligent tourism information service.展开更多

The resource...Conflicting results from previous research relating information technology (IT) investments and firm performance suggest that there is no direct relationship between IT investments and firm performance. The resource-based view (RBV) of the firm is introduced as a research tool to examine how IT resources and capabilities affect firm performance. A theoretical rationale model is then used to investigate the relationship between IT investment and firm performance. The IT capability is assumed to be an important moderator variable rather than a mediator variable linking IT investments to firm performance, while the time period, the firm size, and the industry type, all recognized as factors influencing performance, are treated as control variables. The model and hypotheses are verified by sample data from leading IT firms in China. The data confirms the moderating effect of the IT capability.展开更多
