And it is important that contains all of the information what the system could be gotten. Today military display design can be valued by consideration of human’s cognition model. A few information, which operators of military display could easily miss, could bring critical loss. So the military display needs the ability to help operator decide the military decision with sufficient consideration of battlefield information in a short time. The information is considerably complicated because it has many military entities and many attributes for each entities. For this reason this research contains the methodology of information organization especially for visual information. When the operator use military display, the required information should be recognized at a glance and located where the operator can place his eye easily. Therefore, the display screen should efficiently organize and effectively transfer the information. This paper specifically proposes design methodology to effectively organize and visualize the information in the display screen. The theory of information visualization in a variety of fields already exist, but it has no established theory for the origin of the display screen design. In this paper, we propose a new visualization system called TextInsight with two of our contributions. Firstly, a textual entropy theory is introduced to encode the semantic importance distribution in the corpus. Based on the proposed multidimensional joint probability histogram in vector fields, the improved algorithm provides a novel way to position valuable information in massive short texts accurately. Secondly, a map-like metaphor is generated to visualize the textual topics and their relationships. For the problem of over-segmentation in the layout and clustering procedure, we propose an optimization algorithm combining Affinity Propagation(AP) and MultiDimensional Scaling(MDS), and the improved geographical representation is more comprehensible and aesthetically appealing. Our experimental results and initial user feedback suggest that this system is effective in aiding text analysis.展开更多

We propose a method for the optimization of radar situation interface from error-cognition through the mapping of information characteristics. A mapping method of matrix description is adopted to analyze the association properties between error-cognition sets and design information sets. The behavior patterns of crowds are well rendered by existing crowd dynamics models. However, most related studies ignore the information perception of pedestrians. To overcome this issue, we develop a visual information based social force model to simulate the interpretable evacuation process from the perspective of visual perception. Numerical experiments indicate that the evacuation efficiency and decision-making ability promote rapidly within a small range with the increase in unbalanced prior knowledge. The propagation of acceleration behavior caused by emergencies is asymmetric due to the anisotropy of visual information. Therefore, this model effectively characterizes the effect of visual information on crowd evacuation and provides new insights into the information perception of individuals in complex scenarios.展开更多

文摘Mixed reality offers a larger visualization space and more intuitive means of interaction for data exploration, and many works have been dedicated to combining 2D visualizations on screen with mixe reality. However, for each combination,we need to customize the implementation of the corresponding mixed reality 3D visualization. It is a challenge to simplify this development process and enable agile building of mixed reality 3D visualizations for 2D visualizations. In addition, many existing 2D visualizations do not provide interfaces oriented to immersive analytics,so how to extend the mixed reality 3D space from existing 2D visualizations is another challenge. This work presents an agile and flexible approach to interactively transfer visualizations from 2D screens to mixed reality 3D spaces. We designed an interactive process for spatial generation of mixed-reality 3D visualizations, defined a unified data transfer framework, integrated data deconstruction techniques for 2D visualizations, implemented interfaces to immersive visualization building tool-kits,and encapsulated these techniques into a tool named X-Space.We validated that the approach is feasible and effective through 2D visualization cases including scatter plots, stacked bar charts, and adjacency matrix. Finally,we conducted expert interviews to discuss the usability and value of the method.

文摘While there have been a dozen of authoring systems and programming toolkits for visual design and development, users who do not have programming skills, such as data analysts or interface designers, still may feel cumbersome to efficiently implement a web-based visualization. In this paper,we present ECharts,an open-sourced,web-based,cross-platform framework that supports the rapid construction of interactive visualization. The motivation is driven by three goals:easy-touse,rich built-in interactions, and high performance. The kernel of ECharts is a suite of declarative visual design language that customizes built-in chart types. The underlying streaming architecture, together with a high-performance graphics renderer based on HTML5 canvas, enables the high expandability and performance of ECharts. We report the design, implementation, and applications of ECharts with a diverse variety of examples. We compare the utility and performance of ECharts with C3.js,HighCharts,and Chart.js.Results of the experiments demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of our framework.Since the first release in June 2013,ECharts has iterated 63 versions, and attracted over 22,000 star counts and over 1700 related projects in the GitHub.ECharts is regarded as a leading visualization development tool in the world, and ranks the third in the GitHub visualization tab.

文摘In recent years, the technology and applications of visualizations on large high-resolution displays(LHDs)have received widespread attention because of its perceptual benefits and improved productivity. However, existing work on LHD visualization lacks both comprehensive guidance for design requirements and tools developed for its specific usage scenarios. In this paper,we present the scenarios, design, and implementation of DataV,a Software-as-a-Service(SaaS)visual deployment tool that enables rapid construction and cross-platform publishing of interactive visualization on LHDs.Our framework can support rich components for the high-performance rendering of multisource heterogeneous data.DataV provides a full-fledged toolchain to help the user efficiently specify layout and interactions. We present its accessibility and impressive visual effects with examples and comparison with Tableau,Power BI,VisComposer, and iVisDesigner. We also report the performance of using DataV for 3D map rendering by comparing it with deck.gl.
文摘Deep learning algorithms increasingly support automated systems in areas such as human activity recognition and purchase recommendation. We identify a current trend in which data is transformed first into abstract visualizations and then processed by a computer vision deep learning pipeline. We call this VisuaLization As Intermediate Representation(VLAIR)and believe that it can be instrumental to support accurate recognition in a number of fields while also enhancing humans’ability to interpret deep learning models for debugging purposes or for personal use.In this paper we describe the potential advantages of this approach and explore various visualization mappings and deep learning architectures. We evaluate several VLAIR alternatives for a specific problem(human activity recognition in an apartment)and show that VLAIR attains classification accuracy above classical machine learning algorithms and several other non-image-based deep learning algorithms with several data representations.

文摘With the increase in large-scale incidents in real life, crowd evacuation plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of human crowds during emergency situations. Therefore, this model effectively characterizes the effect of visual information on crowd evacuation and provides new insights into the information perception of individuals in complex scenarios.
