The material constants of hot deformation have been solved by multivariate regression directly. Influence of metallurgy factors on the constants was analyzed. The results show that at some strain, the relationship of sheets’ flow stress with deformation temperature and strain rate can be expressed more suitably with Arrhenius equation modified by hyperbolic sine function. Structure factor A1, stress-level coefficient α, strain rate sensibility exponent m and deformation activation energy Q all increase with increment of strain, while stress exponent n decreases gradually. The bigger α value or the smaller n value is, the more obvious the dynamic softening is, but the α value will increase for the metallurgy defects existing in the sheets. Influence of melt-treatment on Q depends upon the synthesis effect of all kinds of metallurgy defects. The Q and n values of the sheet prepared by high-efficient melt-treatment are the least, while the m value is the biggest, and the sheet can deform easily and evenly.展开更多

Recent theoretical and experimental studies have demonstrated that twodimensional(2D) honeycomb lattice systems with inversion symmetry breaking, such as transition-metal dichalcogenides(TMDs), are ideal candidates for realizing valley polarization. In addition to the optical field, lifting the valley degeneracy of TMDs by introducing magnetism is an efficient way to manipulate the valley degree of freedom. In this paper, we first review the recent progress on valley polarization in various TMD-based systems, including magnetically doped TMDs,intrinsic TMDs with both inversion and time-reversal symmetry broken, and magnetic TMD heterostructures. When topologically nontrivial bands are empowered into valley-polarized systems, valley-polarized topological states, namely valleypolarized quantum anomalous Hall effect can be realized. Therefore, we have also reviewed the theoretical proposals for realizing valley-polarized topological states in 2D honeycomb lattices. Our paper can help readers quickly grasp the latest research developments in this field.展开更多

文摘The application of Mg-based electrochemical energy storage materials in high performance supercapacitors is an essential step to promote the exploitation and utilization of magnesium resources in the field of energy storage.Unfortunately, the inherent chemical properties of magnesium lead to poor cycling stability and electrochemical reactivity, which seriously limit the application of Mg-based materials in supercapacitors.Herein,in this review, more than 70 research papers published in recent 10 years were collected and analyzed. Some representative research works were selected, and the results of various regulative strategies to improve the electrochemical performance of Mg-based materials were discussed. The effects of various regulative strategies(such as constructing nanostructures, synthesizing composites, defect engineering, and binder-free synthesis, etc.)on the electrochemical performance and their mechanism are demonstrated using spinelstructured MgX_(2)O_(4) and layered structured Mg-X-LDHs as examples. In addition, the application of magnesium oxide and magnesium hydroxide in electrode materials,MXene's solid spacers and hard templates are introduced. Finally, the challenges and outlooks of Mg-based electrochemical energy storage materials in high performance supercapacitors are also discussed.

文摘The development of nanoelectronics and nanotechnologies has been boosted significantly by the emergence of 2D materials because of their atomic thickness and peculiar properties, and developing a universal, precise patterning technology for single-layer 2D materials is critical for assembling nanodevices.Demonstrated here is a nanomachining technique using electrical breakdown by an AFM tip to fabricate nanopores, nanostrips, and other nanostructures on demand. This can be achieved by voltage scanning or applying a constant voltage while moving the tip.By measuring the electrical current, the formation process on single-layer materials was shown quantitatively. The present results provide evidence of successful pattern fabrication on single-layer MoS2,boron nitride, and graphene, although further confirmation is still needed. The proposed method holds promise as a general nanomachining technology for the future.

文摘Taking three typical soft samples prepared respectively by loose packings of 77-,95-,and 109-μm copper grains as examples,we perform an experiment to investigate the energy-dependent laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS)of soft materials. We discovered a reversal phenomenon in the trend of energy dependence of plasma emission intensity:increasing initially and then decreasing separated by a well-defined critical energy. The trend reversal is attributed to the laser-induced recoil pressure at the critical energy just matching the sample's yield strength. As a result,a one-to-one correspondence can be well established between the samples'yield stress and the critical energy that is easily obtainable from LIBS measurements. This allows us to propose an innovative method for estimating the yield stress of soft materials via LIBS with attractive advantages including in-situ remote detection,real-time data collection, and minimal destructive to sample.

文摘The self-charging concept has drawn considerable attention due to its excellent ability to achieve environmental energy harvesting, conversion and storage without an external power supply. However, most self-charging designs assembled by multiple energy harvesting, conversion and storage materials increase the energy transfer loss;the environmental energy supply is generally limited by climate and meteorological conditions, hindering the potential application of these selfpowered devices to be available at all times.Based on aerobic autoxidation of catechol, which is similar to the electrochemical oxidation of the catechol groups on the carbon materials under an electrical charge,we proposed an air-breathing chemical self-charge concept based on the aerobic autoxidation of catechol groups on oxygen-enriched carbon materials to ortho-quinone groups.Energy harvesting, conversion and storage functions could be integrated on a single carbon material to avoid the energy transfer loss among the different materials. Moreover, the assembled Cu/oxygen-enriched carbon battery confirmed the feasibility of the air-oxidation self-charging/electrical discharging mechanism for potential applications. This air-breathing chemical self-charge concept could facilitate the exploration of high-efficiency sustainable air self-charging devices.

文摘Valleytronics, using valley degree of freedom to encode, process, and store information, may find practical applications in low-power-consumption devices. Our paper can help readers quickly grasp the latest research developments in this field.

文摘This paper presents a micromechanics-based Cosserat continuum model for microstructured granular materials.By utilizing this model, the macroscopic constitutive parameters of granular materials with different microstructures are expressed as sums of microstructural information. The microstructures under consideration can be classified into three categories:a medium-dense microstructure,a dense microstructure consisting of one-sized particles, and a dense microstructure consisting of two-sized particles.Subsequently, the Cosserat elastoplastic model, along with its finite element formulation,is derived using the extended Drucker-Prager yield criteria. To investigate failure behaviors, numerical simulations of granular materials with different microstructures are conducted using the ABAQUS User Element(UEL)interface. It demonstrates the capacity of the proposed model to simulate the phenomena of strain-softening and strain localization. The study investigates the influence of microscopic parameters, including contact stiffness parameters and characteristic length,on the failure behaviors of granularmaterials withmicrostructures.Additionally, the study examines themesh independence of the presented model and establishes its relationship with the characteristic length.A comparison is made between finite element simulations and discrete element simulations for a medium-dense microstructure, revealing a good agreement in results during the elastic stage.Somemacroscopic parameters describing plasticity are shown to be partially related to microscopic factors such as confining pressure and size of the representative volume element.

文摘The anomalous valley Hall effect(AVHE)can be used to explore and utilize valley degrees of freedom in materials, which has potential applications in fields such as information storage, quantum computing and optoelectronics.AVHE exists in two-dimensional(2D)materials possessing valley polarization(VP),and such 2D materials usually belong to the hexagonal honeycomb lattice. Therefore,it is necessary to achieve valleytronic materials with VP that are more readily to be synthesized and applicated experimentally. In this topical review,we introduce recent developments on realizing VP as well as AVHE through different methods,i.e.,doping transition metal atoms, building ferrovalley heterostructures and searching for ferrovalley materials.Moreover,2D ferrovalley systems under external modulation are also discussed.2D valleytronic materials with AVHE demonstrate excellent performance and potential applications, which offer the possibility of realizing novel low-energy-consuming devices, facilitating further development of device technology, realizing miniaturization and enhancing functionality of them.

文摘Relative rotation between the emitter and receiver could effectively modulate the near-field radiative heat transfer(NFRHT)in anisotropic media.Due to the strong in-plane anisotropy, natural hyperbolic materials can be used to construct near-field radiative modulators with excellent modulation effects. However,in practical applications, natural hyperbolic materials need to be deposited on the substrate, and the influence of substrate on modulation effect has not been studied yet.In this work,we investigate the influence of substrate effect on near-field radiative modulator based onα-MoO_(3).The results show that compared to the situation without a substrate, the presence of both lossless and lossy substrate will reduce the modulation contrast(MC)for different film thicknesses. When the real or imaginary component of the substrate permittivity increases, the mismatch of hyperbolic phonon polaritons(HPPs)weakens, resulting in a reduction in MC.By reducing the real and imaginary components of substrate permittivity, the MC can be significantly improved, reaching 4.64 forε_(s)=3 at t=10 nm.This work indicates that choosing a substrate with a smaller permittivity helps to achieve a better modulation effect, and provides guidance for the application of natural hyperbolic materials in the near-field radiative modulator.
