This paper proposes a useful web-based system for the management and sharing of electron probe micro-analysis( EPMA)data in geology. A new web-based architecture that integrates the management and sharing functions is developed and implemented.Earth scientists can utilize this system to not only manage their data,but also easily communicate and share it with other researchers.Data query methods provide the core functionality of the proposed management and sharing modules. The modules in this system have been developed using cloud GIS technologies,which help achieve real-time spatial area retrieval on a map. The system has been tested by approximately 263 users at Jilin University and Beijing SHRIMP Center. A survey was conducted among these users to estimate the usability of the primary functions of the system,and the assessment result is summarized and presented. 展开更多

Brine-freeze-thaw Durability and Crack Density Model of Concrete in Salt Lake Region 被引量:5

The brine-freeze-thaw durability (defined as the durability under freeze-thaw cycles in Qinghai salt lake brine) of concrete (ordinary Portland cement concrete (OPC), high performance concrete (HPC-a), high performance concrete with steel fiber (HPC-b), and high performance concrete with high Young's modulus polyethylene fiber (HPC-c)) was systematically investigated by the relative dynamic elastic modulus, the relative mass, the appearance, the scanning electron microscopy, and the X-ray diffraction. In addition, the low-temperature physical and chemical corrosion mechanism and a crack density model after the modified relative dynamic elastic modulus being taken into consideration were proposed. The results show that the deterioration of OPC is the severest, followed by HPC-a, HPC-c and HPC-b. The admixture or the fiber is mixed into concrete, which can improve the brine-freeze-thaw durability of concrete. The critical mass growth of the failure of concrete is 3.7%. The cause of the deterioration of concrete under the brine-freeze-thaw cycles is physical and chemical corrosion, not freezing and thawing. The crack density model can effectively describe the deterioration evolution of concrete. 展开更多

Urbanization Response Macro-analysis of Underdeveloped Hilly Areas in Central China

By investigating urbanization process of a typical village in Xinyang City, Henan Province, urbanization response characteristics and driving mechanism of underdeveloped hilly area were explored from the perspectives of population, economy, landscape and society. The results showed that reform of government macro-policy is a fundamental driving force for the urbanization of underdeveloped hilly area in central China which then is co-promoted by economic development and social needs. During the urbanization, rural population is transferred locally or to the neighboring areas, traditional agriculture is gradually transferred to professional and characteristic agriculture. Non-agricultural economy has become a major income source of the locals, and also a major force for shaping rural economic spaces and natural landscapes, leading to the binary landscape layout of village. Weights of environment and traffic are improved in selecting relocation site for rural households, traditional affinity and neighborhood relationship is weakened, spatial differentiation of social and economic structures in the village is enhanced, which are all new tokens of the villagers' values and life concepts, and will lead to the further urbanization. 展开更多

Pt layers of 5 μm in thickness were electroplated before or after depositing NiCoCrAlY coating by arc ion plating(AIP) aiming for identifying the effect of Pt enriching position on microstructure and cyclic oxidation behavior of Pt modified NiCoCrAlY coatings. Al-rich zones formed at the same position of Ptrich zones for both modified coatings due to uphill diffusion of Al driven by Pt. Cyclic oxidation tests at 1000 and 1100?C indicated that oxidation resistance of NiCoCrAlY was improved by Pt modification via different mechanisms: at surface, Pt-rich zone promoted selective oxidation of Al to form α-Al_2O_3,whilst at coating/substrate interface Pt-rich zone acted as effective diffusion barrier for titanium. Roles of Pt played in enhancing the oxidation performance of various Pt-modified NiCoCrAlY coating were investigated. 展开更多
