Shear force and bar force of steel plate, before and after adoption of negative offset structure, are analyzed,as well as horizontal force component of mechanism that influences pure rolling shear and back-wall push force that keeps blade clearance. The discovery is that back-wall push force could be kept large enough at rolling start-up (i.e. the time that the maximum rolling shear produces),meanwhile,back-wall push force is the most approximate to side forces with adoption of 60 mm-100 mm offset. Theoretical results and on-site shear quality both indicate that new structural features such as negative offset plays an important role in ensuring pure rolling shear and keeping blade clearance constant, which provide an effective means to improve quality of steel plate.展开更多

After tumor growth was confirmed, PTX (20 mg/kg;i.v.) + BEV (5 mg/kg;i.p.) treatment was started (Day 1). Each agent was administered once a week for 5 weeks and tumor regression was observed for at least the first 3 weeks. For 2nd-line treatment, we selected mice in which the tumor volume had increased from day 29 to day 36 and was within 130 - 250 mm3 on day 36. After randomization of mice selected on day 36, CPA (10 mg/kg;p.o.) and CAPE (539 mg/kg;p.o.) were administered daily for 14 days (days 36 - 49), followed by cessation of the drugs for 1 week. The tumor growth on day 57 was significantly suppressed in the CPA, CAPE and CAPE + CPA groups as compared with the control group (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the antitumor activity on day 57 of CAPE + CPA was significantly stronger than that of CPA or CAPE alone (p < 0.05). The thymidine phosphorylase (TP) level in tumor tissue was evaluated by immunohistochemistry on day 50, and was significantly higher in the CPA group than those in the control group (p < 0.05). Upregulation of TP in tumor tissues by CPA treatment would increase the 5-FU level in tumor tissues treated with CAPE. This would explain the possible mechanism that made CAPE + CPA superior to CAPE alone in the 2nd-line treatment. Our preclinical results suggest that the CAPE + CPA combination therapy may be effective as 2nd-line therapy after disease progression in PTX + BEV 1st-line treatment for TNBC patients.展开更多

The model employs both positive and negative charges and positive and negative masses. The internal attributes of the electron structure were calculated for both ring and spherical shapes. Further examination of the model reveals an instability for the ring shape. The spherical shape appears to be stable, but relies on tensile or compressive forces of the electron material for stability. The model is modified in this document to eliminate the dependency on material forces. Uniform stability is provided solely by balancing electrical and centrifugal forces. This stability is achieved by slightly elongating the sphere along the spin axis to create a prolate ellipsoid. The semi-major axis of the ellipsoid is the spin axis of the electron, and is calculated to be 1.20% longer than the semi-minor axis, which is the radius of the equator. Although the shape deviates slightly from a perfect sphere, the electric dipole moment is zero. In the author’s previously published document, the attributes of the internal components of the electron, such as charge and mass, were calculated and expressed as ratios to the classically measured values for the composite electron. It is interesting to note that all of these ratios are nearly the same as the inverse of the Fine Structure Constant, with differences of less than 15%. The electron model assumed that the outer surface charge was fixed and uniform. By allowing the charge to be mobile and the shape to have a particular ellipticity, it is shown that the calculated charge and mass ratios for the model can be exactly equal to the Fine Structure Constant and the Constant plus one. The electron radius predicted by the model is 15% greater than the Classical Electron Radius.展开更多

According to the Winterberg hypothesis, space, i.e., the vacuum, consists of both positive and negative physical massive particles, which he called planckions, interacting through strong superfluid forces. In our composite model for the Higgs boson, there is an intrinsic length scale associated with the vacuum, different from the one introduced by Winterberg, where, when the vacuum is in a perfectly balanced state, the number density of positive Planck particles equals the number density of negative Planck particles. Due to the mass compensating effect, the vacuum thus appears massless, chargeless, without pressure, energy density, or entropy. However, a situation can arise where there is an effective mass density imbalance due to the two species of Planck particle not matching in terms of populations, within their respective excited energy states. This does not require the physical addition or removal of either positive or negative Planck particles, within a given region of space, as originally thought. Ordinary matter, dark matter, and dark energy can thus be given a new interpretation as residual vacuum energies within the context of a greater vacuum, where the populations of the positive and negative energy states exactly balance. In the present epoch, it is estimated that the dark energy number density imbalance amounts to, , per cubic meter, when cosmic distance scales in excess of, 100 Mpc, are considered. Compared to a strictly balanced vacuum, where we estimate that the positive, and the negative Planck number density, is of the order, 7.85E54 particles per cubic meter, the above is a very small perturbation. This slight imbalance, we argue, would dramatically alleviate, if not altogether eliminate, the long standing cosmological constant problem.展开更多

These material particles interact indirectly, and have very strong restoring forces keeping them a finite distance apart from each other within their respective species. Because of their mass compensating effect, the vacuum appears massless, charge-less, without pressure, net energy density or entropy. In addition, we consider two varying G models, where G, is Newton’s constant, and G-1, increases with an increase in cosmological time. We argue that there are at least two competing models for the quantum vacuum within such a framework. The first follows a strict extension of Winterberg’s model. This leads to nonsensible results, if G increases, going back in cosmological time, as the length scale inherent in such a model will not scale properly. The second model introduces a different length scale, which does scale properly, but keeps the mass of the Planck particle as, ± the Planck mass. Moreover we establish a connection between ordinary matter, dark matter, and dark energy, where all three mass densities within the Friedman equation must be interpreted as residual vacuum energies, which only surface, once aggregate matter has formed, at relatively low CMB temperatures. The symmetry of the vacuum will be shown to be broken, because of the different scaling laws, beginning with the formation of elementary particles. Much like waves on an ocean where positive and negative planckion mass densities effectively cancel each other out and form a zero vacuum energy density/zero vacuum pressure surface, these positive mass densities are very small perturbations (anomalies) about the mean. This greatly alleviates, i.e., minimizes the cosmological constant problem, a long standing problem associated with the vacuum.展开更多

Assume that the main claim sizes and the inter-arrival times form a sequence of identically distributed random pairs, with each pair obeying a dependence structure, and so do the by-claim sizes and the delay times. Supposing that the main claim sizes with by-claim sizes form a sequence of dependent random variables with dominatedly varying tails, asymptotic estimates for the ruin probability of the surplus process are investigated, by establishing a weakly asymptotic formula, as the initial surplus tends to infinity.展开更多

It is indicated that the volume strain under pure shear is a power function of stress ratio and the normalized stress-strain curve is a standard hyperbola. According to the model, the coefficient of pore pressure induced by shear stress and the critical stress ratio which governs the influence of the negative dilatancy are suggested. It is shown by some triaxial tests that the proposed model can be used to study the negative dilatancy and to describe the stress-strain-pore pressure adequately for soft clays.展开更多

文摘A three-dimensional fluid model is developed to investigate the radio-frequency inductively coupled H2 plasma in a reactor with a rectangular expansion chamber and a cylindrical driver chamber, for neutral beam injection system in CFETR.In this model, the electron effective collision frequency and the ion mobility at high E-fields are employed, for accurate simulation of discharges at low pressures(0.3 Pa-2 Pa)and high powers(40 kW-100 kW).The results indicate that when the high E-field ion mobility is taken into account, the electron density is about four times higher than the value in the low E-field case.In addition, the influences of the magnetic field, pressure and power on the electron density and electron temperature are demonstrated. It is found that the electron density and electron temperature in the xz-plane along permanent magnet side become much more asymmetric when magnetic field enhances. However, the plasma parameters in the yz-plane without permanent magnet side are symmetric no matter the magnetic field is applied or not.Besides, the maximum of the electron density first increases and then decreases with magnetic field, while the electron temperature at the bottom of the expansion region first decreases and then almost keeps constant. As the pressure increases from 0.3 Pa to 2 Pa,the electron density becomes higher, with the maximum moving upwards to the driver region, and the symmetry of the electron temperature in the xz-plane becomes much better. As power increases, the electron density rises, whereas the spatial distribution is similar. It can be summarized that the magnetic field and gas pressure have great influence on the symmetry of the plasma parameters, while the power only has little effect.
文摘We examined the antitumor efficacy of the capecitabine (CAPE) plus cyclophosphamide (CPA) combination as a 2nd-line therapy after paclitaxel (PTX) plus bevacizumab (BEV) treatment in a xenograft model of human triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) cell line, MX-1. Our preclinical results suggest that the CAPE + CPA combination therapy may be effective as 2nd-line therapy after disease progression in PTX + BEV 1st-line treatment for TNBC patients.

文摘The systematic discrepancies in both tsunami arrival time and leading negative phase(LNP)were identified for the recent transoceanic tsunami on 16 September 2015 in Illapel,Chile by examining the wave characteristics from the tsunami records at 21 Deep-ocean Assessment and Reporting of Tsunami(DART)sites and 29 coastal tide gauge stations. The results revealed systematic travel time delay of as much as 22 min(approximately 1.7%of the total travel time)relative to the simulated long waves from the 2015 Chilean tsunami. The delay discrepancy was found to increase with travel time.It was difficult to identify the LNP from the near-shore observation system due to the strong background noise, but the initial negative phase feature became more obvious as the tsunami propagated away from the source area in the deep ocean. We determined that the LNP for the Chilean tsunami had an average duration of 33 min, which was close to the dominant period of the tsunami source. Most of the amplitude ratios to the first elevation phase were approximately 40%,with the largest equivalent to the first positive phase amplitude. We performed numerical analyses by applying the corrected long wave model, which accounted for the effects of seawater density stratification due to compressibility,self-attraction and loading(SAL)of the earth, and wave dispersion compared with observed tsunami waveforms. We attempted to accurately calculate the arrival time and LNP,and to understand how much of a role the physical mechanism played in the discrepancies for the moderate transoceanic tsunami event. The mainly focus of the study is to quantitatively evaluate the contribution of each secondary physical effect to the systematic discrepancies using the corrected shallow water model.Taking all of these effects into consideration, our results demonstrated good agreement between the observed and simulated waveforms. We can conclude that the corrected shallow water model can reduce the tsunami propagation speed and reproduce the LNP,which is observed for tsunamis that have propagated over long distances frequently. The travel time delay between the observed and corrected simulated waveforms is reduced to<8 min and the amplitude discrepancy between them was also markedly diminished. The incorporated effects amounted to approximately 78%of the travel time delay correction, with seawater density stratification,SAL,and Boussinesq dispersion contributing approximately 39%,21%,and 18%,respectively.The simulated results showed that the elastic loading and Boussinesq dispersion not only affected travel time but also changed the simulated waveforms for this event. In contrast, the seawater stratification only reduced the tsunami speed, whereas the earth’s elasticity loading was responsible for LNP due to the depression of the seafloor surrounding additional tsunami loading at far-field stations. This study revealed that the traditional shallow water model has inherent defects in estimating tsunami arrival, and the leading negative phase of a tsunami is a typical recognizable feature of a moderately strong transoceanic tsunami. These results also support previous theory and can help to explain the observed discrepancies.
文摘Negative worded(NW)items used in psychological instruments have been studied with the bifactor model to investigate whether the NW items form a secondary factor due to negative wording orthogonal to the measured latent construct,a validation procedure which checks whether NW items form a source of construct irrelevant variance(CIV)and hence constitute a validity threat. In the context of educational testing, however,no such validation attempts have been made.In this study,we studied the psychometric impact of NW items in an English proficiency reading comprehension test using a modeling approach similar to the bifactor model, namely the three-parameter logistic cross-classified testlet response theory(3PL CCTRT)model,to account for both guessing and possible local item dependence due to passage effect in the data set.The findings indicate that modeling the NW items with a separate factor leads to noticeable improvement in model fit,and the factor variance is marginal but nonzero. However, item and ability parameter estimates are highly similar between the 3PL CCTRT model and other models that do not model the NW items. It is concluded that the NW items introduce CIV into the data, but its magnitude is too small to change item and person ability parameter estimates to an extent of practical significance.

文摘BACKGROUND Stroke has become one of the most serious life-threatening diseases due to its high morbidity, disability, recurrence and mortality rates.AIM To explore the intervention effect of multi-disciplinary treatment(MDT)extended nursing model on negative emotions and quality of life of young patients with post-stroke.METHODS A total of 60 young stroke patients who were hospitalized in the neurology department of our hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group used the conventional care model and the experimental group used the MDT extended nursing model. After the inhospital and 3-mo post-discharge interventions, the differences in negative emotions and quality of life scores between the two groups were evaluated and analyzed at the time of admission,at the time of discharge and after discharge, respectively.RESULTS There are no statistically significant differences in the negative emotions scores between the two groups at admission, while there are statistically significant differences in the negative emotions scores within each group at admission and discharge,at discharge and post-discharge,and at discharge and post-discharge.In addition, the negative emotions scores were all statistically significant at discharge and after discharge when compared between the two groups. There was no statistically significant difference in quality of life scores at the time of admission between the two groups, and the difference between quality of life scores at the time of admission and discharge,at the time of discharge and post-discharge,and at the time of admission and post-discharge for each group of patients was statistically significant.CONCLUSION The MDT extended nursing mode can improve the negative emotion of patients and improve their quality of life. Therefore,it can be applied in future clinical practice and is worthy of promotion.
文摘A model for the internal structure of the electron using classical physics equations has been previously published by the author. The electron radius predicted by the model is 15% greater than the Classical Electron Radius.

文摘Objective:In this research,we tried to explore how short-term mindfulness(STM)intervention affects adoles-cents’anxiety,depression,and negative and positive emotion during the COVID-19 pandemic.Design:10 classes were divided into experiment groups(5 classes;n=238)and control(5 classes;n=244)randomly.Hospital Anxi-ety and Depression Scale(HADS)and Positive and Negative Affect Schedule(PANAS)were used to measure par-ticipants’dependent variables. In the experiment group,we conducted STM practice interventions every morning in theirfirst class from March to November 2020.No interventions were conducted in the control group.Methods:Paired-sample t-tests were used to identify if a significant difference exists between every time point of the experimental and control groups.Repeated ANOVA and Growth Mixture Model(GMM)were used to analyze the tendency of positive and negative emotions, anxiety, and depression in the experimental group. Results and Conclusions:(1)With the intervention of STM,there was a significant decrease in negative emotions and an increase in positive emotions in the experimental group, whereas there were non-significant differences in the control group.(2)To explore the heterogeneity trajectories of dependent variables,we built a GMM and found there were two latent growth classes in the trajectories.(3)The results of the models showed their trajec-tories were downward, which meant that the levels of anxiety, depression, and negative emotions of participants decreased during the STM training period.Nonetheless, the score of positive affect showed upward in three loops of intervention, which indicated that the level of the participants’positive affect increased through the STM inter-vention.(4)This research indicated that STM should be given increasing consideration to enhance mental health during the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19.
文摘We present a new interpretation of the Higgs field as a composite particle made up of a positive, with, a negative mass Planck particle. This slight imbalance, we argue, would dramatically alleviate, if not altogether eliminate, the long standing cosmological constant problem.
文摘We work within a Winterberg framework where space, i.e., the vacuum, consists of a two component superfluid/super-solid made up of a vast assembly (sea) of positive and negative mass Planck particles, called planckions. This greatly alleviates, i.e., minimizes the cosmological constant problem, a long standing problem associated with the vacuum.

文摘Consider a continuous-time renewal risk model, in which every main claim induces a delayed by-claim. Assume that the main claim sizes and the inter-arrival times form a sequence of identically distributed random pairs, with each pair obeying a dependence structure, and so do the by-claim sizes and the delay times. Supposing that the main claim sizes with by-claim sizes form a sequence of dependent random variables with dominatedly varying tails, asymptotic estimates for the ruin probability of the surplus process are investigated, by establishing a weakly asymptotic formula, as the initial surplus tends to infinity.

文摘In the design of negative hydrogen ion sources,a magnetic filter field of tens of Gauss at the expansion region is essential to reduce the electron temperature, which usually results in a magnetic field of around 10 Gauss in the driver region, destabilizing the discharge. The magnetic shield technique is proposed in this work to reduce the magnetic field in the driver region and improve the discharge characteristics. In this paper,a three-dimensional fluid model is developed within COMSOL to study the influence of the magnetic shield on the generation and transport of plasmas in the negative hydrogen ion source. It is found that when the magnetic shield material is applied at the interface of the expansion region and the driver region, the electron density can be effectively increased. For instance, the maximum of the electron density is 6.7×10^(17)m^(-3)in the case without the magnetic shield, and the value increases to 9.4×10^(17)m^(-3)when the magnetic shield is introduced.

文摘-A nonlinear model for the stress-strain behaviour of normally consolidated clays is presented based on the experimental results. It is shown by some triaxial tests that the proposed model can be used to study the negative dilatancy and to describe the stress-strain-pore pressure adequately for soft clays.

文摘A new three-dimensional(3D)cellular model based on hinging open-cell Kelvin structure is proposed for its negative compressibility property. It is shown that this model has adjustable compressibility and does exhibit negative compressibility for some certain conformations. And further study shows that the images of compressibility are symmetrical about the certain lines, which indicates that the mechanical properties of the model in the three axial directions are interchangeable and the model itself has a certain geometric symmetry.A comparison of the Kelvin model with its anisotropic form with the dodecahedron model shows that the Kelvin model has stronger negative compressibility property in all three directions. Therefore,a new and potential method to improve negative compressibility property can be derived by selecting the system type with lower symmetry and increasing the number of geometric parameters.
