Potassium bismuth titanate nanosized powders were prepared by the hydrothermal method using Ti(C_4H_9O)_4 and Bi(NO_3)_3·5H_2O as raw materials in alkaline solution.The phase composition,particle size and morphology of the powders were studied by XRD and TEM analysis.The results showed that the powders were well crystallized and dispersed.The crystal phase of the powders was K_(0.5)Bi_(0.5)TiO_3 with the grain size of about 50 nm~100 nm.Hydrothermal temperature and alkaline concentrations had great effects on the phase composition and morphology of the resultant powders.Pure K_(0.5)Bi_(0.5)TiO_3 powders could be synthesized at 170℃~180℃with KOH concentration of 8 mol/L~12 mol/L. 展开更多

The magneto-caloric effect of Gd5 Si2Ge2 compounds produced by various techniques is investigated in terms of their magnetization behaviors in the magnetic field from 0 to 2.0 T.The studied materials include arc-melted, annealed and sintered alloys.The results demonstrate that the Gd5Si2Ge2 alloys obtained under different processing conditions possess distinct magneto-caloric effect due to their various microstructures.Proper annealing treatment can enhance the magneto-caloric effect of the alloy remarkably.While the sintered alloy bears relatively lower value of magnetic entropy change ( △ SM) than arc-melted one.The magnetic entropy change of the annealed Gd5 Si2Ge2 alloy arrives the arrives the maximum value of - △SM = 15.29 J· kg-1· K-1 for magnetic field change under 2.0 T in the present work. 展开更多

The experimental results show that number of tangles of interlaced yarn changes little with air pressure from 0.2 MPa to 0.5 MPa, and the number of tangles has a maximum value with yarn speed changing. For two yarn directions of entering and leaving yarn guide of interalcer, the yarn speed for the maximum number of tangles is 400 m/rain and 600 m/rain, respectively. The microstructure and corrosion resistance of Mg-0.5 Zn-0.2 Ca-0.2 Ce alloy with different processing conditions were investigated.The composition was detected by X-ray fluorescence(XRF),and the microstructure was analyzed by optical microscopy(OM)and scanning electron microscope(SEM)equipped with energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).The corrosion behavior was investigated by hydrogen evolution tests,weight loss tests and electrochemical measurements.The Mg-0.5 Zn-0.2 Ca-0.2 Ce alloy has much better corrosion resistance compared with the commercial AZ31 sheet,which can be attributed to its dispersive second phases and protective corrosion products film on the alloy surface.Moreover,the as-rolled Mg-0.5 Zn-0.2 Ca-0.2 Ce alloy shows much better corrosion resistance compared with the as-extruded Mg-0.5 Zn-0.2 Ca-0.2 Ce alloy.This can be due to three aspects:The as-rolled alloy has smaller grain size;the as-rolled alloy has lower(1010)/(1120)texture intensity;the residual stress of the as-rolled alloy is eliminated during the annealing process,but large residual stress exists in the asextruded alloy produced by the extrusion process. 展开更多

[Objectives]To explore the extraction conditions of essential oil from eucalyptus leaves.[Methods]The essential oil of eucalyptus leaves was extracted by steam distillation,and the yields of essential oil from eucalyptus leaves under different extraction times,soaking times and different solid-liquid ratios were analyzed through orthogonal test with three factors and three variables.[Results]The effects of various factors on extraction results were:distillation time>solid-liquid ratio>soaking time.When the extraction time and soaking time were 1.5 and 2 h,and the solid-liquid ratio of eucalyptus leaves to distilled water was 1:10,the yield of essential oil was the highest(0.8%).The yield of essential oil increased with the increase of extraction and soaking time,but when reaching the optimal value,the yield decreased with the extension of time.Increasing the solid-liquid ratio can improve the yield of essential oil,but beyond a certain value the yield increased gradually while the cost performance decreased.[Conclusions]The results will provide some reference for the recovery and utilization of eucalyptus leaves. 展开更多

The porous A1-Cu alloy was prepared by the gelcasting process. And the effects of gelcasting conditions, such as monomer, the volume ratio of cross-linker and monomer, dispersant and redox initiating system on the height, gelling time and the quality of green body were investigated. (It was found that the dispersant and monomer played significant roles in the height and quality of green bodies, respectively.) The optimal conditions were 10% monomer, 2% cross-linker, 0.2% initiator (volume fraction), and 1.2 g dispersant, in which the green body exhibited the best quality. The mechanisms of process conditions in eliminating the cracks and forming the pores of in the five stages were proposed. Mercury porosimetry provided a description of pore diameter ranging from 10 to 10000 nm and open porosity of 38.78 %. 展开更多

A two-dimensional (2D) fluid model is presented to study the behavior of silicon plasma mixed with SiH4 , N2 , and NH3 in a radio-frequency capacitively coupled plasma (CCP) reactor. The plasma–wall interaction (including the deposition) is modeled by using surface reaction coefficients. In the present paper we try to identify, by numerical simulations, the effect of variations of the process parameters on the plasma properties. It is found from our simulations that by increasing the gas pressure and the discharge gap, the electron density profile shape changes continuously from an edge-high to a center-high, thus the thin films become more uniform. Moreover, as the N2 /NH3 ratio increases from 6/13 to 10/9, the hydrogen content can be significantly decreased, without decreasing the electron density significantly. 展开更多

The exergy losses and thermodynamic efficiency of MSF plant with brine recirculation are discussed bymeans of temperature difference functions proposed by the auther.In a MSF plant,the irreversible losses are found mainly in irreversible heat-transfer and flash evaporationprocesses.However,the basic variables are the temperature drop from stage to stage and the temperaturedifferences between flashed vapor and cooling water.In this paper,the flash temperature difference func-tion,the heat transfer temperature difference function and the total temperature difference function are sug-gested.The proposed temperature difference functions of MSF plant provide a convenient tool to analyse theirreversible behavior and evaluate the exergetic efficiency of this system,because without such improvement thecalculation of the exergetic efficiency of a MSF plant according to the classical formula will be not onlyinconvenient but also insignificant.As a result of present analysis,the reasonable parameters based on theenergy consumption are easily chosen.The above-mentioned principles are confirmed by commercial plants and a pilot plant in Tianjin. 展开更多

Nickel is widely used as a bleaching element in white gold alloys, but it is a potential allergen. In this paper, a popular 18 KW gold alloy, often called "safe nickel," was chosen as the experimental material; its nickel release rates under six different processing conditions were evaluated according to the EN1811 standard. The results reveal that both the surface processing method and heat treatment technology significantly affect the nickel release rate. A coarse surface releases more nickel ions than a smooth surface. The sample normalized at 700 ~C in the single region has a lower nickel release rate than the one treated at 550 ~C in the two-phase phase region, while high temperature normalizing at 800 ~C will accelerate it. All the measured nickel release rates of the experimental material under various processing conditions exceed the permitted threshold value in the Nickel Directive, which indicates that there exists the potential risk of nickel- induced allergy when it is used to make jewelries, espe- cially for piercing types. 展开更多

Preparation of a High-Performance Si_3N_4 Ceramic Using Self-Reinforcing Technology

Under the optimum processing conditions, this material has the flexural strength of 960~1050MPa and the fracture toughness of 11.17~12.74MPa·m^(1/2) at room-temperature, and 720~780MPa and 22~24MPa·m^(1/2) at 1350℃. The effects of heat ing rate, sintering temperature, and holding time on the microstructures and mechanical properties are investigated. The experimental results show that an appropriate β-Si_3N_4 grain size and homogeneous microstructure can be obtained under the conditions of a heating rate of 10℃/min, sintering temperature of 1800℃, and holding time of 1h, which are advantageous to enhancing the mechanical properties. Crack deflection in large rodlike β-Si_3N_4 grains is a principle source of toughening. 展开更多

Ground condition and construction (excavation and support) time and costs are the key factors in decision-making during planning and design phases of a tunnel project. An innovative methodology for probabilistic estimation of ground condition and construction time and costs is proposed, which is an integration of the ground prediction approach based on Markov process, and the time and cost variance analysis based on Monte-Carlo (MC) simulation. The former provides the probabilistic description of ground classification along tunnel alignment according to the geological information revealed from geological profile and boreholes. The latter provides the probabilistic description of the expected construction time and costs for each operation according to the survey feedbacks from experts. Then an engineering application to Hamro tunnel is presented to demonstrate how the ground condition and the construction time and costs are estimated in a probabilistic way. In most items, in order to estimate the data needed for this methodology, a number of questionnaires are distributed among the tunneling experts and finally the mean values of the respondents are applied. These facilitate both the owners and the contractors to be aware of the risk that they should carry before construction, and are useful for both tendering and bidding. 展开更多

Isothermal hot compression tests of as-cast high-Cr ultra-super-critical(USC) rotor steel with columnar grains perpendicular to the compression direction were carried out in the temperature range from 950 to 1250°C at strain rates ranging from 0.001 to 1 s^(-1). The softening mechanism was dynamic recovery(DRV) at 950°C and the strain rate of 1 s^(-1), whereas it was dynamic recrystallization(DRX) under the other conditions. A modified constitutive equation based on the Arrhenius model with strain compensation reasonably predicted the flow stress under various deformation conditions, and the activation energy was calculated to be 643.92 kJ ×mol^(-1). The critical stresses of dynamic recrystallization under different conditions were determined from the work-hardening rate(θ)–flow stress(σ) and-θ/σ–σ curves. The optimum processing parameters via analysis of the processing map and the softening mechanism were determined to be a deformation temperature range from 1100 to 1200°C and a strain-rate range from 0.001 to 0.08 s^(-1), with a power dissipation efficiency η greater than 31%. 展开更多

In addition,using the extraction time,extraction temperature and solid-to-liquid ratio as factors,L9( 33) orthogonal experiment was carried out to determine the optimal process parameters for water extraction of polysaccharides from U. fissa E. Pritz.[Results] The optimal process parameters: hot water extraction time was 4 h,the extraction temperature was 90℃,and the mass ratio of water to leaves of U. fissa E. Pritz. was 1∶ 25. Under such extraction conditions,the yield rate of polysaccharides from U. fissa E. Pritz.was up to 11. 611%. Microwave technology is fit for the processing of berry products,but it may affect nutrition components of berry fruit.To improve the nutritional value of the berry products,the influences of microwave vacuum puffing conditions on the anthocyanin content of raspberry snack were investigated using central composite experiments.Results indicated that vacuum pressure had the most significant effect on the anthocyanins of berry snack,followed by the puffing time,microwave power,and initial moisture content.The interaction between microwave power and puffing time on the anthocyanins was extremely significant.Under microwave power of 2.68 kW and the puffing time of 81.00 s,the anthocyanin content of raspberry snack was retained at high level.The results can provide some technological basis for the berry fruit products processed with high quality. 展开更多

The gold deposits in the Jiaodong Peninsula constitute the largest gold mineralized province in China.The mineralization shows common characteristics in their tectonic setting,ore-forming fluid and metallogenic system... The gold deposits in the Jiaodong Peninsula constitute the largest gold mineralized province in China.The mineralization shows common characteristics in their tectonic setting,ore-forming fluid and metallogenic system.Sulfidation and fluid immiscibility are two important mechanisms controlling gold precipitation,both of which consume sulfur in the oreforming fluids.The escape of H2S from the main ore-forming fluids and the decrease of total sulfur concentration not only lead to the efficient precipitation of gold,but also result in the crystallization of reducing minerals such as pyrrhotite and oxidizing minerals such as magnetite.Quartz solubility shows strong dependence on temperature,pressure,and CO2 content.The dependence of quartz solubility on pressure is weak at low temperatures,and progressively stronger at higher temperatures.Similarly,the temperature dependence of quartz solubility is relatively low at low pressures,but becomes gradually stronger at high pressures.The results of solubility modeling can constrain the dissolution and reprecipitation behavior of quartz in the oreforming veins and the formation mechanism of different types of quartz veins.The multi-stage mineralization fluid activity resulted in the complex dissolution structure of quartz in the Jiaodong gold veins.Pyrite in the main metallogenic period in the Jiaodong gold deposits shows complex microstructure characteristics at single crystal scale.The trace elements(mainly the coupling of As-and Au-rich belt)and sulfur isotope composition also display a certain regularity.The As-rich fluids might have formed by the initial pulse of ore-forming fluids through As-rich metasedimentary strata,while the As-Au oscillation zone at the margin of pyrite grains is related to the pressure fluctuation caused by fault activity and the local phase separation of fluids.There is a temporal and spatial evolution of gold fineness in the Jiaodong gold deposits.Water/rock reaction(sulfidation)was the main ore-forming mechanism of early gold mineralization,forming relatively high fineness gold,while significant pressure drop in the shallow part accompanied by fluid phase separation promoted the late gold mineralization,forming low fineness gold.Under cratonic destruction setting,dehydration of the amphibolite and granulite facies metamorphic lower-crust resulted in the formation of Au-CO2-rich ore-forming fluids,which rose along the deep fault and secondary structure,and formed the largescale fault-controlled gold deposits in Jiaodong. 展开更多

To investigate the process optimizationof Cu-en/AP composite microspheres preparation via electrostatic spraying,and to reveal the effects of droplet properties and flow rate variations on the experimental results during the electrostatic spraying process,the prepared process parameters of Cu-en/AP composite microspheres by electrostatic spray method under the orthogonal experimental design simulated by ANSYS(Fluent).The influence of flow rate,solvent ratio,and solid mass on the experimental results is examined using a controlled variable method.The results indicate that under the conditions of a flow rate of 2.67×10^(-3)kg/s an acetone-to-deionized water ratio of 1.5∶1.0,and a solid mass of 200 mg,the theoretical particle size of the composite microspheres can reach e nanoscale.Droplet trajectories in the electric field remain stable without significant deviation.The simulation results show that particle diameter decreases with increasing flow rate,with the trend leveling off around a flow rate of 1×10^(-3)kg/s.As the solvent ratio increases(with higher acetone content),particle diameter initially decreases,reaching a minimum around a ratio of 1.5∶1.0 before gradually increasing.Increasing the solid mass also reduces the particle diameter,with a linear increase in diameter observed at around 220 mg.Cu-en/AP composite microspheres with nanoscale dimensions were confirmed under these conditions by the final SEM images. 展开更多

In order to reduce the development cycle of mechanical products and corresponding toolings, a large number of components are utilized in these structures. Accordingly, automatic location method for components is a key issue in the research on intelligent computer aided design (CAD) techniques. Integrated with the investigation into intelligent design techniques for aircraft manufacturing toolings, in-depth researches on this issue are conducted. Formalized automatic location principles, representative methods and implementation algorithms are proposed and established. First, several terms and their formalized representative methods including process condition, location base and location operator are defined. Second, computation modeling of components automatic location and methods of location transformation are proposed. Then, definition of base structure and some key algorithms for automatic location are introduced. These principles and algorithms are developed, applied and verified in research project "Jig Intelligent CAD (JiglCAD) System". 展开更多

According to the vulcanization kinetic equation of natural rubber (NR) established in the isothermal situation, the numerical computation expression of the degree of cure under non-isothermal condition is constructed by means of incremental method. The description of non-isothermal in-mold vulcanization process is carried out by the finite element method. The mold-opening time, the rubber and mold temperatures, the degree of rubber cure and its distribution characteristics are numerically analyzed, by changing the key formulas and parameters in the process including the temperature of curing medium, the concentration of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, the heat transfer manner of mold side, and the convective heat transfer coefficient of heating boundary. The quantitative results will help engineers to design proper formulas and optimize processing conditions. 展开更多
