The success of teachers in professional environments has a desirable influence on their mental condition.Simply said,teachers’professional success plays a crucial role in improving their mental health.Due to the inva...The success of teachers in professional environments has a desirable influence on their mental condition.Simply said,teachers’professional success plays a crucial role in improving their mental health.Due to the invaluable role of professional success in teachers’mental health,personal and professional variables helping teachers succeed in their profession need to be uncovered.While the role of teachers’personal qualities has been well researched,the function of professional variables has remained unknown.To address the existing gap,the current investigation measured the role of two professional variables,namely job satisfaction and loving pedagogy,in Chinese EFL teachers’professional success.To do this,three validated scales were provided to 1591 Chinese EFL teachers.Participants’answers to the questionnaires were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test and structural equation modeling.The data analysis demonstrated a strong,positive link between the variables.Moreover,loving pedagogy was found to be the positive,strong predictor of Chinese EFL teachers’job satisfaction and professional success.The findings of the current inquiry may help educational administrators enhance their instructors’professional success,which in turn promotes their mental and psychological conditions at work.展开更多

However, the adoption of the eHealth solutions has not been smooth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) due to negative beliefs about the technology, lack of awareness and motivation and resistance to change. Thus, this study was developed to investigate the knowledge and perceptions of hospital care staff towards the Medical Internet of Things and to explore the role of awareness videos in changing negative perceptions. Methods: One group pre-test post-test quasi-experimental study design was incorporated, and 116 participants from Ministry of Health hospitals in Riyadh, KSA, were included. A series of four videos were developed to observe their influence on the knowledge and perceptions of mIoT. Results: The findings showed that participants had more knowledge about the individual components of mIoT (particularly wearable devices) compared to the processes or functions of mIoT. Similarly, just over half (56.0%) of the individuals think that the current systems in the hospital are enough to deliver mIoT. However, 90% think mIoT is the future of digital health. Similarly, PE, SI, BI, EE and CESE were considered facilitators and PTA and CC were considered grave barriers to mIoT adoption. The awareness videos positively influenced knowledge and perceptions of PE, EE, CESE and SI. Conclusion: The study concludes that hospital staff in Riyadh (excluding doctors) possess basic mIoT knowledge, consider various adoption factors as enablers, and awareness video can play a critical role in effectively introducing the technology to the hospital care staff.展开更多

The aims were to examine change in nutrition and physical activity knowledge, self efficacy and attitudes in a cohort of 23 teachers and 304 year 5 and 6 children after the “Healthy Active Kids” online program and t...The aims were to examine change in nutrition and physical activity knowledge, self efficacy and attitudes in a cohort of 23 teachers and 304 year 5 and 6 children after the “Healthy Active Kids” online program and to assess any behavioral change in children’s self reported nutrition and physical activity behaviors and investigate the predictors of nutrition knowledge gain in teachers and children. Results found significant (p < 0.0001) increases in teacher and student knowledge of the five food groups;key nutrients provided by each food group, The Australian Guide to Healthy Eating;food labelling laws, identification of common names for fats, sugars and salts on food labels, food proportions on the Healthy Food Plate and the level and percentage of water in the human body and human brain. Teacher attitudes towards the importance of nutrition and diet and self efficacy related to teaching nutrition in class improved (p < 0.01). The final regression model for predictors of the dependent variable, knowledge gain in students was R = 0.53, Adjusted R square = 0.28 (F = 4.76, p < 0.01) indicating that 28% of the variation in knowledge gain was predicted by the negative (low) Time 1 knowledge. Changes to eating habits reported by children were “drinking more water each day” (89.1%) and “eating foods from the five food groups each day” (76.2%);“sharing information about food labels with your family” (52.4%);“reading food labels when you go shopping” (50.0%);“changing what is on your dinner plate each night” (44.2%);“vegetables that you eat now that you didn’t eat before” (42.1%) and “fruits that you eat now” (39%). An empirical study is carried out to compare the teachers’ knowledge level of 91 normal students under three different educational probation modes: tutorial system, non-tutorial system, and routine system. Quantitative analysis shows that except English knowledge, the tutorial system is more conducive to promoting normal students’ mastery of educational theory knowledge, general curriculum knowledge, English curriculum knowledge, English teaching knowledge, and students’ knowledge, and the development of these kinds of knowledge is relatively balanced. This study is helpful for teacher educators to provide guidance and help for pre-service English teachers to maximize the benefits of educational probation.展开更多

文摘As an important aspect of the inner world of teachers,the study of professional identity is attracting more and more attention from researchers at home and abroad.Through a questionnaire survey based on CETPII(College English Teachers’Professional Identity Inventory),the paper analyzes the college EFL teacher professional identity.The findings show that college EFL teachers in China have high professional identity,but the four factors constituting professional identity are scored differently.Occupational behavior tendency ranks the highest.Also,there are significant differences among teachers of different ages and teaching years.
文摘Based on the framework of classroom teaching learning process analysis, this study explores the relationship between language proficiency and the acquisition of teaching knowledge in the sample of three English repetitive lessons in senior high school by two English student teachers. After quantitative and qualitative analysis, it was found that the higher the level of language, the greater the improvement of teaching knowledge;the student with high language level has made rapid progress in teaching design, slow progress in teaching management and student learning, while the progress of the student with low language level is slow in all aspects. This study has important reference value for pre-service foreign language teacher education.

文摘Based on the theoretical perspective of educational ecology,the basic situation of professional development of rural physical education teachers in Deqing County and the restricting factors in the process of professional development were investigated and analyzed by using the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistic analysis,aiming to find out the problems existing in the professional development of rural physical education teachers in Deqing County.The targeted optimization strategies were explored,so as to achieve the effects of enriching the research theory of professional development of rural physical education teachers,improving the quality of physical education in rural schools,inheriting excellent rural sports culture,driving the development of rural mass sports,promoting the construction of rural material and spiritual civilization,and improving the quality of rural human capital.According to the research,the gender structure of rural physical education teachers in Deqing County was unreasonable;the teachers were undertaken heavy teaching task;there was a shortage of highly educated people;some teachers lacked understanding and attention to the connotation of professional development;the teachers had insufficient knowledge of educational science;teachers’sense of responsibility needed to be strengthened;schools did not pay enough attention to teachers’continuing education and training,and teachers were less satisfied with training.

文摘In the new round of development, the government should not only focus on the development of large enterprises, but also on small enterprises that can grow explosively. According to the growth characteristics of unicorn enterprises, the "Guidelines for the Cultivation of High-Growth Enterprises" should be formulated at the provincial level. On the basis of the clear definition of highgrowth enterprises, the classification criteria are defined. A set of government support mechanisms for enterprise selection, approval and support should be established. In addition, a set of positive support policies should be adopted for different types of enterprises in land use, financing, taxation, technology, talent recruitment and other aspects.
