The flotation separation of smithsonite from calcite and quartz using a alkyl diamine ether(GE-609)as the collector was investigated through micro-flotation experiments and the real ore flotation experiments.The resul...The flotation separation of smithsonite from calcite and quartz using a alkyl diamine ether(GE-609)as the collector was investigated through micro-flotation experiments and the real ore flotation experiments.The results show that GE-609exhibits good collecting capability to three minerals without selectivity.The presence of sodium sulfide enhances the flotation of smithsonite and calcite while inhibits quartz.Moreover,both sodium silicate and sodium hexametaphosphate exhibit good selective inhibition to calcite.The real ore test results show that a zinc concentrate containing23.51%Zn with the recovery of71.02%is obtained in the closed-circuit test.To understand the adsorption of GE-609on smithsonite surface,zeta potential measurement and FTIR analysis were carried out,and the results indicate that the collector GE-609can adsorb on smithsonite surface through both electrostatic adsorption and chemical adsorption,and the presence of sodium sulfide enhances the adsorption of GE-609.展开更多
Shaped binderless ZSM-11 zeolite catalysts were synthesized via a dry-gel conversion technique from 70ZSM-11/30 SiO;mix extrudates. 1,6-hexanediamine combined with tetrabutylammonium bromide was proved to be the best ...Shaped binderless ZSM-11 zeolite catalysts were synthesized via a dry-gel conversion technique from 70ZSM-11/30 SiO;mix extrudates. 1,6-hexanediamine combined with tetrabutylammonium bromide was proved to be the best structure directing agent for the synthesis of the binderless ZSM-11 catalyst, without adding other alkaline materials. The 70HZSM-11/30 SiO;mix serials materials crystallized for different times were detected by X-ray diffraction(XRD), nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), scanning transmission electron microscopy–energy dispersive spectroscopy(STEM–EDS) techniques, and so on. In order to investigate the possible crystallization mechanism, the textural and structural properties of 70HZSM-11/30 SiO;mix serials samples were further characterized by N;adsorption–desorption. Acid properties were determined by temperature-programed desorption of NH;(NH;-TPD) and pyridine adsorption-infrared(Py-IR) measurements. In the alkylation of benzene with dimethyl ether, the serials catalysts exhibited different benzene conversions. 70HZSM-11/30 SiO;mix showed the lowest benzene conversion while sample 70HZSM-11/30 SiO;mix-6.5h synthesized only for 6.5h displayed a higher benzene conversion, even higher than the value over 70HZSM-11/30Al;O;mix. Extending the crystallization time, the obtained samples displayed the increased benzene conversion in general under the same reaction conditions. In the end, the relation of physicochemical properties with the reaction performance was investigated.展开更多

For comparison, compound 32 with a benzyl group at the same position was also prepared. The cytotoxicities of the synthetic compounds have been screened for six human tumor cell lines such as KB, BEL-7404, A549, Hela, PC-3 and CNE. The results showed that two of them exhibited significant cytotoxicities with their IC50 values on selected cell lines at μmol/L scale.展开更多

The results show that all...The influence of different poly(ethylene glycol) alkyl ethers(CnH2n+1O(C2H4O)mH, CnEm) on flotation of carbonaceous copper shale mixed with quartz as a gangue mineral was investigated. The results show that all of the ethers C4E1, C4E2, C4E3, C2E2, C6E2 investigated can be used for the flotation of carbonaceous copper shale. The best selectivity of separation in the flotation of the carbonaceous copper shale and quartz mixture is obtained with the C4E2 and C2E2 ethers. The obtained data can be used for developing separation of organic carbon present in carbonaceous shale at a rougher flotation stage on an industrial scale.展开更多

The study of the interaction of three glycol ethers, i.e. 2-methoxyethanol (ME), 2-ethoxyethanol (EE) and 2-butoxyethanol (BE) administered subcutaneously for 4 weeks and ethanol simultaneously given as 10% w/v soluti...The study of the interaction of three glycol ethers, i.e. 2-methoxyethanol (ME), 2-ethoxyethanol (EE) and 2-butoxyethanol (BE) administered subcutaneously for 4 weeks and ethanol simultaneously given as 10% w/v solution for drinking in male rats, was carried out from a toxicodynamic point of view. Administered alone, ME (2.5 and 5.0 mM/kg), EE (2.5 and 5.0 mM/kg) or BE (0.75 and 1.25 mM/kg) resulted in a decrease of red blood cells (RBC), packed cell volumes (PCV), and hemoglobin concentration (HGB), as well as an increase in mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and reticulocyte count (Ret). In the rats co-ex- posed to ethanol and EGAEs, a significantly less pronounced hematological changes in comparison with animal exposed to these ethers alone were seen. The rats simultaneously exposed to ethanol and both ME and EE at the lower dose demonstrated mainly protection from the alterations in leukocyte system. In contrast, in the rats which consumed ethanol and were simultaneously treated with the higher dose of ME or EE (5.0 mM/kg) the amelioration of same hematological parameters were displayed. The intake of ethanol along with BE treatment at both doses resulted in markedly ameliorated hematological parameters, compared to those which were changed by BE alone. In conclusion, the decrease of the hemolytic effects of EGAEs is ethanol dependent. Ethanol is a substrate of alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH), and affinity of this enzyme to ethanol is greater than that to glycol ethers. It is possible that ethanol results in the change in EGAEs metabolism.展开更多
