METHODS The neuroendocrine cells of the gastric mucosa of eight normal subjects, six patients with DU and five patients with ZES were quantitatively investi- gated with electro microscope and ultrastructure image analyzer. RESULTS The volume density of neuroendocrine cells in DU was 1.3% and 0.8% (vs 1.6% and 0.9%,P>0.05) in gastric antrum and corpus respectively. In antrum,G cells was of 65% (P< 0.05),D cells decreased in cell density (3% vs 9.5%) and in number of cell per unit area (P<0.01). In corpus, the cell density of ECL cells increased (49% vs 30%,P<0.05);D cells and EC cells decreasec (2% P<0.01 and 4% P<0.05,respectively),and the number of D cell per unit area markedly decreased. In ZES,D cells in corpus decreased in cell density (4% vs 22%,P<0.01) and P cells also decreased (11% vs 24%,P<0.05). The density of ECL cells increased (65% vs 30%,P<0.01). CONCLUSIONS In DU and ZES,both the number and type of NE cells present some changes. Incresed gastrin in DU and ZES patients may be caused by the decrease of D cells and somatostatin secretion.展开更多

In this study, potential plasticity of liver cells into pancreatic endocrine cells induced by PDX-1 was evaluated.METHODS: Human hepatoma cell line HepG2 was stably transfected with mammalian expression plasmid pcDNA3-PDX encoding human PDX-1 gene. Ectopic expression of PDX-1 and insulin were detected by RT-PCR,Western blot and/or immunostaining. PDX-1+ HepG2 cells were transplanted under renal capsule of STZ-induced diabetic nude mice (n = 16) to examine the inducing effect in vivo.RESULTS: Exogenous PDX-1 transgene was proved to express effectively in HepG2 cell at both mRNA and protein levels. The expression of endogenous insulin and some βcell-specific differentiation markers and transcription factors were not induced in PDX-1+ HepG2 cells. When transplanted under renal capsule of STZ-induced diabetic nude mice, PDX-1+ HepG2 cells did not generate insulinproducing cells. These data indicated that stable transfected PDX-1 could not convert hepatoma cell line HepG2 to pancreatic cells in vitro or in vivo. Mature hepatocytes might need much more complicated or rigorous conditions to be shifted to insulin-producing cells.CONCLUSION: The expression of exogenous PDX-1 is not sufficient to induce relatively mature hepatocytes differentiating into insulin-producing cells.展开更多

With the HDPA-Fe2 O3/Al2 O3 as the basic catalyst, a series of transition metals, such as Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Cr, Mo, V, and Ti, was respectively doped to the basic catalyst to modify the performance of the catalytic system, in expectation of influencing the mobility of the lattice oxygen species in the oxide catalysts. Under normally working conditions of the catalytic system, the nanoparticles of catalysts located themselves at the interface between the oil and water phases, constituting the Pickering emulsion. Both the doped iron oxide and its surface adsorbed hexadecylphosphate molecules were essential to the catalytic system for excellent performances with high toluene conversions as well as the exclusive selectivity to benzaldehyde. Under optimal conditions, ~83% of toluene conversion and >99% selectivity to benzaldehyde were obtained, using molecular oxygen as oxidant and HDPA-(Fe2 O3-Ni O)/Al2 O3 as the catalyst. This process is green and low cost to produce high quality benzaldehyde from O2 oxidation of toluene.展开更多

Effects of evaporation temperature, number of SPD steps in series and other distillation method on the octacosanol recovery and decomposition are studied. Although the experimental results indicate some decomposition when the mixture of higher primary aliphatic alcohols is distillated by SPD, SPD is still an effective method to purify octacosanol. It is concluded that evaporation temperature affects greatly on the purity and recovery of octacosanol.展开更多

Experimental results indicated that addition of butanol could improve the collecting performance of ND on quartz and enhance the floatability of quartz. Best flotation recovery of quartz was obtained when butanol was mixed with ND at a mass ratio of 1:1. Moreover, the molecular structure of alcohols had a significant effect on mineral recovery. Best separation efficiency could be obtained when tert-butanol was added as it had the largest cross-sectional area. Zeta potential measurements indicated that alcohols could strengthen electrostatic adsorption between quartz and collector. Molecular dynamic simulations revealed that co-adsorption of alcohols along with ND had taken place on the quartz surface, and ND/tert-butyl combinations were more easily absorbed on the quartz surface.展开更多

The results show that the selectivity of these collectors for these three calcareous minerals falls in the order: DDDAC 〉 DDBAC 〉 DTAC. A significantly different flotation response of scheelite compared to the other two calcareous minerals was observed over the pH range from 7 to 8 for DDDAC as the collector. A concentrate containing 41.40% W03 could be produced from a feed mixture containing 23.22% WO3 at the DDDAC concentration of 4.0× 10^-4 mol/L. The WO3 recovery was 92.92% under these conditions. The results of zeta potential measurements suggest that electrostatic interactions are the main forces between DDDAC and the minerals. When the concentration of DDDAC is from 2× 10^-4 to 4×10-3 mol/L large differences in adsorption density, and adsorption kinetics, of DDDAC onto scheelite, calcite, and fluorite provide desirable conditions for achieving high selectivity.展开更多

The results show that ABS/DBDPE/Sb2O3 has the similar flammability parameters and thermal composition curves to ABS/DBDPO/Sb2O3. It suggests that DBDPE/Sb2O3 has the similar flame retardant behavior to DBDPO/Sb2O3. The heat release rate (HRR) and the effect heat combustion (EHC) curves of polymers flame retarded by DBDPE/Sb2O3 all decrease, but the mass loss rate (MLR) curve slightly increase. It shows that the decrease of HRR is not due to the increase of char formation ratio but the generation of incombustible gases. The major flame retardant mechanism of DBDPE/Sb2O3 is gas phase flame retardant mechanism. Increasing content of Sb2O3 in DBDPE/Sb2O3 can improve the flame retardant property and thermal stability of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene. Sb2O3 has a good synergistic effect with DBDPE.展开更多
