However, one patient out of four presented with right upper abdominal pain, nausea, and fatty food intolerance. The condition is frequently mistaken with an excluded or sclero-atrophic gallbladder, regardless of the imaging modality used. Consequently, AG often leads to unnecessary and potentially dangerous laparoscopic surgery as described in a few case reports over the last 10 years. The aim of this study is to clarify the diagnostic and therapeutic approach of this unusual pathology. Two cases seen in our institutions were retrospectively reviewed, together with a review of the American and European literature. During laparoscopy, the absence of normal anatomical structures and the impossibility of pulling on the gallbladder to expose and dissect the triangle of Callot increases the risk of iatrogenic injury to biliary or portal structures. Depending on the experiment of the surgeon in laparoscopic procedure, this has to be taken into account to decide a conversion to laparotomy. A high index of suspicion is necessary when interpreting the radiological images. In case of doubt, a MRI-cholangiography is mandatory. Because of possible inherited transmission, relatives with a history of biliary symptoms should be investigated.展开更多

Methods The leftknee joints of eighteen rabbits were fixed in extending position with plaster cylinder for four weeks, but their hip joints were flexed. The right side served as control. Roentgenogram was made in all animals. The changes of the x-ray films and the pathological findings between left and right hips were compared. Results Appearance of hip dysplasia was obvious at four weeks after plaster fixation. There were pathological changes, including shallow ace-tabulum and flat femoral head, increased acetabular index and decreased acetabular head index on the x-ray films. Conclusion The hip dysplasia is the result of prolonged extending position of the knee joint. Abnormal knee posture seems to be one of the important factors of hip dysplasia. This kind of deformation may be worsened with time.展开更多

The physical mechanism of educational inequality is manifested in the poor health of migrant workers' children and their devalued behavior. Targeting these physical and psychological mechanisms, we have designed two simple but effective intervention strategies to raise the children's academic achievement: passing on the incremental theory of intelligence and establishing a multiple assessment system. These intervention strategies effectively improved the children's academic performance, increased their identification with learning, and lowered the stereotype threat. It is hoped that these strategies can be applied to the new generation of migrant workers entering the labor market.展开更多
