对于引入多条城市轨道交通的规划铁路枢纽站而言,研究综合换乘功能最优的线站位方案是两者衔接的前提和关键。分析城市轨道交通线路与铁路枢纽站间常见的2种线站位关系和5种衔接方式,以引入4条城市轨道交通的规划重庆东站为案例,基于其... 对于引入多条城市轨道交通的规划铁路枢纽站而言,研究综合换乘功能最优的线站位方案是两者衔接的前提和关键。分析城市轨道交通线路与铁路枢纽站间常见的2种线站位关系和5种衔接方式,以引入4条城市轨道交通的规划重庆东站为案例,基于其枢纽定位、周边规划及现状、线网规划及换乘需求,研究多条城市轨道交通与规划铁路枢纽站衔接的线站位方案。结果表明,两者的衔接应首先考虑换乘便捷,流线组织简单;其次考虑尽量减少对周边建筑物的影响。多条城市轨道交通同时引入时,考虑将与国铁换乘需求较大的线路车站置于国铁站房下方,以缩减与国铁换乘走行距离,同时尽量避免国铁站房下方只设置一条城市轨道交通,以更快疏散国铁突发客流,便于客流组织。然后将其余线路车站置于广场下方,以解决周边城市客流需求。 展开更多

In order to improve crash occurrence models to account for the influence of various contributing factors, a conditional autoregressive negative binomial (CAR-NB) model is employed to allow for overdispersion (tackled by the NB component), unobserved heterogeneity and spatial autocorrelation (captured by the CAR process), using Markov chain Monte Carlo methods and the Gibbs sampler. Statistical tests suggest that the CAR-NB model is preferred over the CAR-Poisson, NB, zero-inflated Poisson, zero-inflated NB models, due to its lower prediction errors and more robust parameter inference. The study results show that crash frequency and fatalities are positively associated with the number of lanes, curve length, annual average daily traffic (AADT) per lane, as well as rainfall. Speed limit and the distances to the nearest hospitals have negative associations with segment-based crash counts but positive associations with fatality counts, presumably as a result of worsened collision impacts at higher speed and time loss during transporting crash victims. 展开更多

In order to develop optimal multi-regime traffic stream models, a new method that integrates cluster analysis and B-spline regression is presented. First, for identifying the proper number of regimes, the K-means and the fuzzy c-means methods are applied in cluster analysis to actual traffic data, which suggests that dividing the traffic flow into two or three clusters can best reflect intrinsic patterns of traffic flows. Such information is then taken as guidance in spline regression, thus significantly reducing the computational burden of estimating spline models. Spline regression is used to estimate the locations of knots and the coefficients of the model so that the global error can be minimized. Model analysis results demonstrate that the proposed spline models have better fitting and generalization capability than the conventional models. In addition, the new method is more flexible in terms of data fitting and can provide smoother traffic stream models. 展开更多

This paper concerns the impact of an operating metro train on the structure of a shield tunnel lining and its soft foundation. An elastoplastic 3D dynamic finite difference model was established by using the FLAC3D numerical soft- ware. By fully considering the joints, the A-B-K segments and the soft stratum, the dynamic response of the shield tunnel buried in thick, soft soil under the vibrating load induced by a metro train was numerically simulated. The simulation result, for which the joint was considered, was compared with the result when the joint was not considered. The results show that an operating metro train induces a significant dynamic response in the structure of the lining of the shield tunnel and its soft foundation. The severe dynamic response zones of the lining structure are largely distributed in the range of the lower half of the segment-ring and the nearer to the bottom of the segment-ring, the more severe the response. Of two horizontally symmetric, corresponding places on the segment lining, the one near the joint is more severe in its dynamic response than that of the one far from the joint; the nearer the zone of the foundation soil to the lower half of the seg- ment-ring, the more severe the dynamic response. The maximum shear strain of the foundation soil takes place near the joint between two normal segments at the bottom. The dynamic response influenced by joints is more severe than the response not influenced by joints, showing that the non-joint assumption is somewhat impractical. 展开更多

Different traffic noise spectra were registered and reproduced, simulating the outdoor traffic conditions through different windows. Spectrum adaptation terms for the recorded spectra were different from the ones obtained from the Standards, showing that Normative gives a safe evaluation of the Weighted Sound Insulation Index. In field measurements, the level abatements calculated from the Facade Acoustic Insulation Index corrected with the adaptation terms shows that the ones from the Standard do not give a good approximation, while if the level abatements is calculated using the adaptation terms from the registered spectra, a more reliable approximation is achieved. Furthermore, comparing the level abatements for two windows having both Rw equal to 41 dB, very different values were obtained at different frequencies; therefore to characterize acoustic performances of windows, sound insulation curves are also needed. The correlation between the mean difference between adaptation terms calculated from the standard and the one between abatements obtained with pink noise and the ones obtained with the registered spectra is good, but different for road traffic and trains. In both, the difference diminishes when the difference between the abatements increases. 展开更多

At the same time, the technique is appliedto an engineering case, the longest highway tunnel in Gansu province. Data of geological survey of outside tunnels,sound wave detection, and geologic sketch for both tunnel face and sidewalls within the tunnel are analyzed. Traffic congestion has caused many detrimental effects including higher fuel consumption, more vehicle emissions, increased accidents, as well as greater tension due to uncertain travel time. In addition to delay, the variability and reliability of travel time has been of concern to motorists on their daily travel, especially during peak periods. The objective of this study is to examine freeway travel time variability and reliability under different traffic and weather conditions with the use of TRANSMIT data collected by roadside readers deployed on a 40-mile segment of the Interstate Highway 1-287 in New Jersey. Travel time variability and reliability measures including mean travel time, the 95th percentile travel time, travel time index, buffer index, and planning time index under recurring and non-recurring congestion (adverse weather) are investigated. It was found that the standard deviation of travel time increased, due to the weather condition varying from dry to rain and to snow, while the buffer index increased from 29% to 45% and to 94%. 展开更多

China, parameters and the effect of accidents caused by horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, cross section and intersection are studied systematically The disciplinary analysis of these effects are presented in this paper. The viewpoint is acknowledged that high sub grade and steep slopes are against traffic safety, which is common and ignored in high-usage highways in China. The CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymers/plastics) composites made of carbon fibers as reinforcement and epoxy resins as matrix were prepared by drum winding process. Various parameters such as molding temperature, molding pressure and pressing time were selected as the pre-pregs were laminated to be the CFRP. The effects of fabricating parameters which affected the mechanical properties of CFRPs were analyzed by Taguchi method in this study. The results showed that molding temperature was the main factor to influence the mechanical properties of composites. 展开更多
