This algorithm takes into account that the status transformation of available network will affect the quality of service(Qo S) of vehicle terminal's communication service. Firstly, Markov process is used to predict the transformation of wireless network's status after the decision via transition probability. Then the weights of evaluating parameters will be determined by fuzzy logic method. Finally, by comparing the total incomes of each wireless network, including handoff decision incomes, handoff execution incomes and communication service incomes after handoff, the optimal network to handoff will be selected. Simulation results show that: the algorithm proposed, compared to the existing algorithm, is able to receive a higher level of load balancing and effectively improves the average blocking rate, packet loss rate and ping-pang effect.展开更多
In order to reduce the maintenance cost of structured Peer-to-Peer (P2P),Clone Node Protocol (CNP) based on user behavior is proposed.CNP considers the regularity of user behavior and uses the method of clone node.A B...In order to reduce the maintenance cost of structured Peer-to-Peer (P2P),Clone Node Protocol (CNP) based on user behavior is proposed.CNP considers the regularity of user behavior and uses the method of clone node.A Bidirectional Clone Node Chord model (BCNChord) based on CNP protocol is designed and realized.In BCNChord,Anticlockwise Searching Algorithm,Difference Push Synchronize Algorithm and Optimal Maintenance Algorithm are put forward to increase the performances.In experiments,according to the frequency of nodes,the maintenance cost of BCNChord can be 3.5%~32.5% lower than that of Chord.In the network of 212 nodes,the logic path hop is steady at 6,which is much more prior to 12 of Chord and 10 of CNChord.Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that BCNChord can effectively reduce the maintenance cost of its structure and simultaneously improve the query efficiency up to (1/4)O(logN).BCNChord is more suitable for highly dynamic environment and higher real-time system.展开更多
To improve the level of active traffic management,a short-term traffic flow prediction model is proposed by combining phase space reconstruction(PSR)and extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)algorithms.Firstly,the traditi...To improve the level of active traffic management,a short-term traffic flow prediction model is proposed by combining phase space reconstruction(PSR)and extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)algorithms.Firstly,the traditional data preprocessing method is improved.The new method uses hierarchical clustering to determine the traffic flow state and fills in missing and abnormal data according to different traffic flow states.Secondly,one-dimensional data are mapped into a multidimensional data matrix through PSR,and the time series complex network is used to verify the data reconstruction effect.Finally,the multidimensional data matrix is inputted into the XGBoost model to predict future traffic flow parameters.The experimental results show that the mean square error,average absolute error,and average absolute percentage error of the prediction results of the PSR-XGBoost model are 5.399%,1.632%,and 6.278%,respectively,and the required running time is 17.35 s.Compared with mathematical-statistical models and other machine learning models,the PSR-XGBoost model has clear advantages in multiple predictive indicators,proving its feasibility and superiority in short-term traffic flow prediction.展开更多

The two-tier HetNet is built up with a macro base station (MBS) and several small cell SBSs, where the MBS is assumed to be equipped with large-scale antenna arrays but the SBSs only have single-antenna capa- bility and they rely on the wireless link to the MBS for backhaul. The sum of logarithmic user rate, which is established according to the result of multi-user Multiple Input Mul- tiple Output (MIMO) downlink employing Zero-Force Beamforming (ZFBF), is chosen as the network utility for the objective func- tion. And a distributed optimization algorithm based on primal and dual decomposition is used to jointly optimize the user association variable xj,z and the wireless backhaul band- width factor α. Simulation results reveal that the distributed optimization algorithm jointly optimizing two variables outperforms the con- ventional SINR-based user association strate- gies.展开更多
Mobile Ad hoc Networks(MANETs) play an important role in emergency communications where network needs to be constructed temporarily and quickly.Since the nodes move randomly,routing protocols must be highly effective ...Mobile Ad hoc Networks(MANETs) play an important role in emergency communications where network needs to be constructed temporarily and quickly.Since the nodes move randomly,routing protocols must be highly effective and reliable to guarantee successful packet delivery.Based on the data delivery structure,most of the existing multicast routing protocols can be classified into two folders:tree-based and mesh-based.We observe that tree-based ones have high forwarding efficiency and low consumptions of bandwidth,and they may have poor robustness because only one link exists between two nodes.As a treebased multicast routing protocol,MAODV(Multicast Ad hoc On-demand Vector) shows an excellent performance in lightweight ad hoc networks.As the load of network increases,QoS(Quality of Service) is degraded obviously.In this paper,we analyze the impact of network load on MAODV protocol,and propose an optimized protocol MAODV-BB(Multicast Ad hoc On-demand Vector with Backup Branches),which improves robustness of the MAODV protocol by combining advantages of the tree structure and the mesh structure.It not only can update shorter tree branches but also construct a multicast tree with backup branches.Mathematical analysis and simulation results both demonstrate that the MAODV-BB protocol improves the network performance over conventional MAODV in heavy load ad hoc networks.展开更多

The objective of the proposed joint resource allocation schemes is to maximize the total utility of users as well as satisfy the required quality of service(QoS) such as the end-to-end response latency experienced by each user. We formulate the problem of joint resource allocation as a combinatorial optimization problem. Three evolutionary approaches are considered to solve the problem: genetic algorithm(GA), ant colony optimization with genetic algorithm(ACO-GA), and quantum genetic algorithm(QGA). To decrease the time complexity, we propose a mapping process between the resource allocation matrix and the chromosome of GA, ACO-GA, and QGA, search the available radio and cloud resource pairs based on the resource availability matrixes for ACOGA, and encode the difference value between the allocated resources and the minimum resource requirement for QGA. Extensive simulation results show that our proposed methods greatly outperform the existing algorithms in terms of running time, the accuracy of final results, the total utility, resource utilization and the end-to-end response latency guaranteeing.展开更多

The constraints of power and re-source block allocation in the physical layer, delay and target data rate in the medium ac-cess control layer, urgent queue length in the network layer, and packet error rate in the transport layer, have been considered. The original problem is non-deterministic polyno-mial time hard, which cannot be solved practi-cally. After the restrictions of upper layers are translated into constraints with physical layer parameters, and the integer restrictions are relaxed, the original problem can be decom- posed into convex optimization subproblems. The optimal solutions of resource block allo-cation and power allocation can be obtained by using the Lagrangian optimization. Simula-tion results show that the proposed scheme is better than both the round robin algorithm and the max-rain one in terms of energy efficiency, throughput and service fairness. The round robin algorithm and the max-min one only focus on the user fairness rather than quality of service fairness. Compared to the round robin scheme (the max-min one), the proposed scheme improves the energy efficiency 58.85% (62.41%), the throughput 19.09% (25.25%), the service fairness 57.69% (35.48%).展开更多

Secondly, the rough set theory (RST) and the genetic algorithm (GA) were used to work out the reduction of attributes and the acquisition of principle of optimality and to confirm key variable and restriction condition in the synthesis optimization design. Finally, the regression analysis (RA) and GA were used to establish the synthesis optimization design model and carry on the optimization design. The optimization process searches for the minimum strain energy configuration and this leads to red...This paper presents a node shift method to find the optimal distribution of nodes in single-layer reticulated shells. The optimization process searches for the minimum strain energy configuration and this leads to reduced sensitivity in initial imper- fections. Strain energy sensitivity numbers are derived for free shift and restricted shift where nodes can move freely in the 3D space or have to move within a predefmed surface respectively. Numerical examples demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach. It was found that optimized structures achieve higher ultimate load and are less sensitive to imperfections than the initial structure. The configuration of the final structure is closely related to factors like the initial structural configuration, spatial conditions, etc. Based on different initial conditions, architects can be provided with diverse reasonable structures. Furthermore, by amending the defined shapes and nodal distributions, it is possible to improve the mechanical behavior of the structures.展开更多
As an essential lifeline engineering system,water distribution network should provide enough water to maintain people's life after earthquake in addition to working under daily operation.However,the design of wate...As an essential lifeline engineering system,water distribution network should provide enough water to maintain people's life after earthquake in addition to working under daily operation.However,the design of water distribution network usually ignores the influence of earthquake,resulting in water stoppage in large area during many recent strong earthquakes.This study introduced a seismic design approach of water distribution network,i.e.,topology optimization design.With network topology as the optimization goal and seismic reliability as the constraint,a topology optimization model for designing water distribution network under earthquake is established.Meanwhile,two element investment importance indexes,a pipeline investment importance index and a diameter investment importance index,are introduced to evaluate the importance of pipelines in water distribution network.Then,four combinational optimization algorithms,a genetic algorithm,a simulated annealing genetic algorithm,an ant colony algorithm and a particle swarm algorithm,are introduced to solve this optimization model.Moreover,these optimization algorithms are used to optimize a network with 19 nodes and 27 pipelines.The optimization results of these algorithms are compared with each other.展开更多

Finally, the regression analysis (RA) and GA were used to establish the synthesis optimization design model and carry on the optimization design. A corresponding prototype system was also developed and the synthesis optimization design of a thermal actuated micro-pump was carded out as a demonstration in this paper.
文摘In this paper, we report in-depth analysis and research on the optimizing computer network structure based on genetic algorithm and modified convex optimization theory. Machine learning method has been widely used in the background and one of its core problems is to solve the optimization problem. Unlike traditional batch algorithm, stochastic gradient descent algorithm in each iteration calculation, the optimization of a single sample point only losses could greatly reduce the memory overhead. The experiment illustrates the feasibility of our proposed approach.

文摘This paper presents a node shift method to find the optimal distribution of nodes in single-layer reticulated shells. The optimization process searches for the minimum strain energy configuration and this leads to reduced sensitivity in initial imper- fections. Strain energy sensitivity numbers are derived for free shift and restricted shift where nodes can move freely in the 3D space or have to move within a predefmed surface respectively. Numerical examples demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach. It was found that optimized structures achieve higher ultimate load and are less sensitive to imperfections than the initial structure. The configuration of the final structure is closely related to factors like the initial structural configuration, spatial conditions, etc. Based on different initial conditions, architects can be provided with diverse reasonable structures. Furthermore, by amending the defined shapes and nodal distributions, it is possible to improve the mechanical behavior of the structures.

文摘As an essential lifeline engineering system,water distribution network should provide enough water to maintain people's life after earthquake in addition to working under daily operation.However,the design of water distribution network usually ignores the influence of earthquake,resulting in water stoppage in large area during many recent strong earthquakes.This study introduced a seismic design approach of water distribution network,i.e.,topology optimization design.With network topology as the optimization goal and seismic reliability as the constraint,a topology optimization model for designing water distribution network under earthquake is established.Meanwhile,two element investment importance indexes,a pipeline investment importance index and a diameter investment importance index,are introduced to evaluate the importance of pipelines in water distribution network.Then,four combinational optimization algorithms,a genetic algorithm,a simulated annealing genetic algorithm,an ant colony algorithm and a particle swarm algorithm,are introduced to solve this optimization model.Moreover,these optimization algorithms are used to optimize a network with 19 nodes and 27 pipelines.The optimization results of these algorithms are compared with each other.
