The Senkin code of package is used to simulate the the Chemkin chemical kinetics combustion process of a porous medium(PM) engine fueled by n-heptane. The code is modified to incorporate the Woschni heat transfer co...The Senkin code of package is used to simulate the the Chemkin chemical kinetics combustion process of a porous medium(PM) engine fueled by n-heptane. The code is modified to incorporate the Woschni heat transfer correlation and heat transfer model within a porous medium. A detailed chemistry mechanism of NOx formation is coupled with the detailed chemical kinetics mechanism of n-heptane. The code is applied to a zero- dimensional single-zone model of engine combustion. Influences of operating parameters on the performance of the PM engine are discussed. With the increase in the intake temperature and compression ratio, or with the decrease of the excess air ratio, the ignition timing of the PM engine obviously advances. It is found that the porous medium acting as a heat recuperator can considerably preheat the fuel-air mixture, which promotes the ignition and combustion in the cylinder. And the initial PM temperature is a critical factor controlling the compression ignition of the mixture.展开更多
With the rapid development of economy,the conversion of cultivated land into nonagricultural land occurs more frequently and makes cultivated land sparser.This article based on the decoupling theory takes the situatio...With the rapid development of economy,the conversion of cultivated land into nonagricultural land occurs more frequently and makes cultivated land sparser.This article based on the decoupling theory takes the situations of cultivated land occupation by construction and economic growth in China from 1998 to 2007 as an example to evaluate and analyze the decoupling.The conclusions are drawn as follows.First,the article applies IU curve and gross method.The decoupling status by gross method,in contrast to that by IU curve,can express the pressure from cultivated land occupation better and is similar to the decoupling status based on the model of decoupling in this article.Second,in most provinces of China,the relationship between the cultivated land occupation by construction and economic growth has transformed from expansive negative decoupling to strong decoupling.In general,the transformation was firstly from economically advanced eastern municipalities under the central government directly,then to economically advanced eastern coastal provinces,and lastly to central,western and northeastern regions.Third,the decoupling status was relative to contemporaneous policies and laws on cultivated land protection and regional development planning.Their effect is obvious and positive.展开更多
AIM: To investigate genetic differences between Crohn's disease (CD) patients with a sustained remission vs relapsers after discontinuing infliximab while in cortico- steroid-free remission. METHODS: Forty-eight ...AIM: To investigate genetic differences between Crohn's disease (CD) patients with a sustained remission vs relapsers after discontinuing infliximab while in cortico- steroid-free remission. METHODS: Forty-eight CD patients received infliximab and were in full corticosteroid-free clinical remission but then discontinued infliximab for reasons other than a loss of response, were identified by review of an electronic database and charts. Infliximab-associated remis- sion was defined as corticosteroid-free plus normaliza- tion of clinical disease activity [CD activity index (CDAI) 〈 150] during follow-up visits based on physician global assessments. A CD relapse (loss of infliximab-induced remission) was clinically defined as a physician visit for symptoms of disease activity (CDAI 〉 220) and a thera- peutic intervention with CD medication(s), or a hospital- ization with complications related to active CD. Genetic analyses were performed on samples from 14 patients (n = 6 who had a sustained long term remission after stopping infliximab, n -- 8 who rapidly relapsed after stopping infliximab). Nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain 2 (NOD2)/caspase activation recruitment do- main 15 (CARD15) polymorphisms (R702W, G908R and L1007fs) and the inflammatory bowel disease 5 (IBDS) polymorphisms (IGR2060a1 and IGR3081a1) were ana- lyzed in each group. RESULTS: Five single nucleotide polymorphisms of IBD5 and NOD2/CARD15 genes were successfully analyzed for all 14 subjects. There was no signifcant increase in frequency of the NOD2/CARD15 polymor- phisms (R702W, G908R and L1007fs) and the IBD5 polymorphisms (IGR2060al and IGR3081a1) in either group of patients; those whose disease relapsed rap- idly or those who remained in sustained long term remission following the discontinuation of infliximab. Nearly a third of patients in full clinical remission who stopped infliximab for reasons other than loss of re- sponse remained in sustained clinical remission, while two-thirds relapsed rapidly. There was a marked dif- ference in the duration of clinical remission following discontinuance of infliximab between the two groups. The patients who lost remission did so after 1.0 years 4- 0.6 years, while those still in remission were at the time of this study, 8.1 years 4- 2.6 years post-discon- tinuation of infliximab, P 〈 0.001. The 8 patients who had lost remission after discontinuing infiiximab had a mean number of 5 infusions (range 3-7), with a mean treatment time of 7.2 mo (range 1.5 mo-15 mo). The mean duration of time from the last infusion of inflix- imab to the time of loss of remission was 382 d (range 20 d-701 d). The 6 patients who remained in remission after discontinuing infliximab had a mean number of 6 infusions (range 3-12), with a mean treatment dura- tion of 12 mo (range 3.6 mo-32 too) (P = 0.45 relative to those who lost remission). CONCLUSION: There are no IBD5 or NOD2/CARD15 mutations that predict which patients might have sus- tained remission and which will relapse rapidly after stopping infliximab.展开更多

A U-shaped emitter layout,selective wet etching,laterally etched undercut, and an air-bridge are applied in this process. The device, which has a 2μm×12μm U-shaped emitter area,demonstrates a common-emitter DC current gain of 170,an offset voltage of 0.2V,a knee voltage of 0.5V, and an open-base breakdown voltage of over 2V. The HBT exhibits good microwave performance with a current gain cutoff frequency of 85GHz and a maximum oscillation frequency of 72GHz, These results indicate that these InP/InGaAs SHBTs are suitable for low-voltage,low-power,and high-frequency applications.展开更多

Three mAbs, 1B8, 5El and 5E2, were then further optimized. The result indicated that prepared anti-FMDV Asial mAbs had no cross-reactivity with Swine vesicular disease (SVD) and FMDV O, A and C type antigen. Their titers in abdomen liquor were 1:5×10^6, 1:2×10^6 and 1:5×10^6, respectively. 1B8 was found to be of IgG1 subtype, 5El and 5E2 belonged to IgG2b subtype. In this study, the prepared mAbs are specific for detecting FMDV type Asia1, and is potentially useful for pen-side diagnosis.展开更多

The penetrated depth A and particle deposition were calculated theoretically. About 1/7 in- cident thermal electron flux was amputated and, A increased seven times. The previous simulation is not enough for the SMBI fueling mechanism research. Hence, further investigations, both in experiment and in theory should be developed.
