Objective:To investigate the behavior problems and self-concept of primary school students with underachievements.Methods:According to academic achievement and the teacher’s evaluation,34 pupils with learning difficu...Objective:To investigate the behavior problems and self-concept of primary school students with underachievements.Methods:According to academic achievement and the teacher’s evaluation,34 pupils with learning difficulties were sampled as the study group,and 47 normal students were sampled as the control group.The student’s hehavior problems and self-concept were rated by Conners Child Behavior Inventory and Piers-Harris Child Self-concept Scale.Results:The study group showed much more behavior problens,such as conduct problem,learning problem,psychosomatic disorders,compulsive/hyerkinetic problems,etc,and get significantly lower scores in self-concept scale than the control group.Conclusion:Underachievements in primary school students may result in low self-concept and high incidence of behavior problems.展开更多
