To obtain the best possible combination of the impact factors (magnetic intensity, FAMC dosage, flocculant dosage, and feed speed) for minimum overflow turbidity, a response surface methodology test coupled with a four-factor five-level central composite design was conducted. The synergy mechanism of FAMC and flocculant was analyzed based on the potential measurement and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the flocculant dosage, overflow turbidity, and solid content can be reduced by 50%, 90%, and 80%, while the handling capacity per unit and efficiency of backfill and dry stacking can be promoted by 20%, 17%, and 13%, respectively, with a magnetic intensity of 0.3 T, FAMC dosage of 200 mL/t, flocculant dosage of 30 g/t, and feed speed of 0.6 t/(m^2·h). Therefore, synergy of FAMC and flocculant has obvious efficiency in saving energy and protecting the environment by allowing 70×10^6 t/a of argillized ultrafine tailings slurry to be disposed safely and efficiently with a cost saving of more than 53×106 Yuan/a, which gives it great promise for use in domestic and foreign mines.展开更多

Horizontal roof gap, as a key parameter of backfilling characteristics, may impact the backfilling effect from the aspects of control of roof subsidence in advance, support stress, backfilling process and the support design. Firstly, the reason why horizontal roof gap exists was analyzed and its definition, causes and connotation were introduced, then adopting the Pro/E 3D simulation software, three typical 3D entity models of backfill hydraulic supports were built, based on the influence of horizontal roof gap on backfilling effect, and influence rules of four factors, i.e. support height, suspension height, suspension angle and tamping angle, were emphatically analyzed on horizontal roof gap. The results indicate that, the four factors all have significant impacts on horizontal roof gap, but show differences in influence trend and degree, showing negative linear correlation, positive linear correlation, positive semi-parabolic correlation and negative semi-parabolic correlation, respectively. Four legs type is the most adaptive to the four factors, while six legs(II) type has the poorest adaptability, and the horizontal roof gap is small under large support height, small suspension height, small suspension angle and large tamping angle situation. By means of optimizing structure components and their positional relation and suspension height of backfill scrape conveyor in the process of support design and through controlling working face deployment, roof subsidence in advance, mining height and backfilling during engineering application, the horizontal roof gap is optimized. The research results can be served as theoretical basis for support design and guidance for backfill support to have better performance in backfilling.展开更多

Through thermodynamical calculation, the values of AG and relevant potential expressions were obtained. According to these thermodynamical data, the φ-pH diagrams of Se-H2O system at 298 and 373 K were obtained; Simultaneously, the φ-pH diagrams of SO2-H2O and SO2-Se-H2O systems were drawn at 298 K. With increasing the temperature, the stable regions of HSeO3, SeO2- and SeO2- in the φ-pH diagram of Se-H2O system become gradually large, but the limits of pH in the stable region become gradually small. The stability area of reduction precipitation in the SO2-Se-H2O system was finally determined. The results of oxidization leaching experiments of selenium residue indicate that when the mass ratio of selenium residue to sodium chlorate is 2, the concentration of sulfuric acid is 300 g/L and the residue is agitated for 3 h at leaching temperature of 80 ℃, the leaching rate of selenium could reach 97.76 %. The experimental results conform the calculated results by φ-pH diagram. The selenium reduction precipitation in oxidization-leaching solution was analyzed under the conditions of acidity of 150 g/L, the sodium sulphite concentration of 35 g/L at the reductive temperature of 23 ℃ for 120 min. The critical salinity concentration of 30 g/L, which resulted from the cooperation results of the non-halophilic bacteria and the halophilic bacteria, was drawn in bench-scale experiment. Pilot-scale studies showed that high COD removal efficiency, higher than 85 %, was obtained at low temperature when 30 percent seawater [ seawater/(seawater + sewage) ] was introduced. The salinity improved the settleability of activated sludge, and average SV dropped down from 38% to 22. 5% after adding seawater. Sludge bulking could be forborne effectively because filamentous bacteria couldn't subsist under high salinity concentration.展开更多

In this contribution, an experimental study was carried out to examine the release rates of major elements (Ca, K, Mg and AI) from the surface sediments in the Changjiang (Yangtze River) Estuary under the pH values of 4.0, 6.0 and 7.0. The two stud- ied sediments consist primarily of quartz, plagioclase, calcite and clay minerals, with the BET (Brunauer, Emmett and Teller) surface areas of 61.7m2g-1 and 23.1 m2g-1. Major elements of Ca, K, Mg and A1 show different release rates under different solution pH values. With the decreasing solution pH, the release rates of Ca and K increase obviously, while the release rates of Mg and A1 in- crease with the initial solution pH varying from 6.0 to 7.0. The different release rates of these elements are closely related to the original mineral composition of the sediments and the reaction kinetics. Based on the experimental observation, quartz and clay min- erals that have low dissolution rates may dominate the major element release to the aqueous phase. This study reveals that the en- hancing ocean acidification could cause considerable release of major elements from natural terrigenous sediments into the ambient marine environment, which has to be considered carefully in the future study on global change.展开更多

Based on field surveys, 28 samples from glacier-associated deposits(including glacial till, fluvioglacial, debris flow, river and lake deposits)were collected and tested in the laboratory. The results showed that the glacier-associated deposits can be differentiated based on particle gradation, particle size distribution and accumulated percentages. We evaluated the evolution of a former dammed lake in the Moxi basin based on glacierassociated deposits. The results of this study also indicated that the Moxi Platform was not formed by a single depositional process but is composed of both fluvioglacial and debris flow deposits. This research shows that the depositional style analysis is useful in identifying different glacier-associated deposits in high mountain regions. Moreover, the evaluation of the differences in particle sizes of the glacierassociated deposits is useful in reconstructing geohazard events in periglacial regions, and this information can help in identifying and reducing the potential risks associated with geo-hazards.展开更多

It is believed that the carbon-tritium co-deposited film produced by the erosion of carbon diverter walls has a high tritium concentration. However, no systematic evaluation for the tritium concentration has been conducted yet. In the present study, the carbon-hydrogen co-deposited films were prepared at the wall of pumping duct in Local Island Divertor experiments of LHD, in order to evaluate the tritium concentration of the co-deposited films produced in ITER. The hydrogen concentration was obtained by measuring the amount of retained hydrogen in the film and the mass density of the film. The hydrogen concentration of the co-deposited carbon film at the wall not facing to the plasma with a low temperature was extremely high, 1.3 in the atomic ratio of H/C. This value is triple times higher than the previous value obtained so far. The crystal structure of the co-deposited carbon film observed by Raman spectroscopy showed very unique structure (polymeric aC:H), which is well consistent with the high hydrogen concentration. The present study suggests that the tritium concentration of the co-deposited film in ITER depends on the wall position and becomes quite high as high as T/C-0.65. The results obtained contribute to evaluate the in-vessel tritium inventory owing to the co-deposited carbon films.展开更多

This work provides an efficient and eco-friendly method to protect bell-metal from oxidation when left in the atmosphere for a long duration which enables the bell-metal to retain its bright golden yellow colour. Titanium nitride thin film deposition by reactive cylindrical magnetron sputtering method is done for this purpose. Besides retaining the bright golden colour of the bell-metal, the deposited titanium nitride film also provides hardness and corrosion resistance to the bell-metal surface thereby providing durability to the material.展开更多

文摘In order to investigate the feasibility of biological treatment of bypersaline wastewater produced from toilet flushing with seawater at low temperature, pilot-scale studies were established with plug-flow activated sludge process at low temperature (5-9℃) based on bench-scale experiments. Sludge bulking could be forborne effectively because filamentous bacteria couldn't subsist under high salinity concentration.

文摘A kinetic model was proposed to predict the seawater fouling process in the seawater heat exchangers. The new model adopted an expression combining depositional and removal behaviors for seawater fouling based on the Kern–Seaton model. The present model parameters include the integrated kinetic rate of deposition(k d)and the integrated kinetic rate of removal(k r),which have clear physical signi ficance.A seawater-fouling monitoring device was established to validate the model. The experimental data were well fitted to the model, and the parameters were obtained in different conditions.SEM and EDX analyses were performed after the experiments, and the results show that the main components of seawater fouling are magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide. The effects of surface temperature, flow velocity and surface free energy were assessed by the model and the experimental data. The results indicate that the seawater fouling becomes aggravated as the surface temperature increased in a certain range, and the seawater fouling resistance reduced as the flow velocity of seawater increased.Furthermore, the effect of the surface free energy of metals was analyzed, showing that the lower surface free energy mitigates the seawater fouling accumulation.

文摘With the enhanced warming and acidification of global ocean, whether and to what extent the naturally-weathered flu- vial sediment into the sea can release elements and thus influence the geochemical process and ecosystem of global ocean remain to be resolved. This study reveals that the en- hancing ocean acidification could cause considerable release of major elements from natural terrigenous sediments into the ambient marine environment, which has to be considered carefully in the future study on global change.

文摘This study aims to understand the particle size distribution and depositional styles of glacierassociated deposits in the Moxi basin in southwest China. Moreover, the evaluation of the differences in particle sizes of the glacierassociated deposits is useful in reconstructing geohazard events in periglacial regions, and this information can help in identifying and reducing the potential risks associated with geo-hazards.
文摘In international thermonuclear experimental reactor (ITER), one of major concerns is an in-vessel tritium inventory from a point of safety. The results obtained contribute to evaluate the in-vessel tritium inventory owing to the co-deposited carbon films.

文摘We investigate experimentally the depositions of two contiguous debris flows flowing into a main river reach. The aim of the present experimental research is to analyze the geometry and the mutual interactions of debris flow deposits conveyed by these tributaries in the main channel.A set of 19 experiments has been conducted considering three values of the confluence angle, two slopes of the tributary, and three different triggering conditions(debris flows occurring simultaneously in the tributaries,or occurring first either in the upstream or in the downstream tributary). The flow rate along the main channel was always kept constant.During each experiment the two tributaries had the same slope and confluence angle. The analysis of the data collected during the experimental tests indicates that the volume of the debris fan is mainly controlled by the slope angle,as expected, while the shape of the debris deposit is strongly influenced by the confluence angle. Moreover,in the case of multiple debris flows, the deposit shape is sensitive to the triggering conditions.Critical index for damming formation available in literature has been considered and applied to the present case, and,on the basis of the collected data, considerations about possible extension of such indexes to the case of multiple confluences are finally proposed.
文摘Bell-metal, mainly an alloy of copper and tin has been in different uses since many years in the history of human civilization. Besides retaining the bright golden colour of the bell-metal, the deposited titanium nitride film also provides hardness and corrosion resistance to the bell-metal surface thereby providing durability to the material.
文摘Bridge pressure flow scour at clear water threshold condition is studied theoretically and experimentally. The flume experiments reveal that the measured scour profiles under a bridge are more or less 2-dimensional;all the measured scour profiles can be described by two similarity equations, where the horizontal distance is scaled by the deck width while the local scour by the maximum scour depth;the maximum scour position is located just under the bridge about 15% deck width from the downstream deck edge;the scour begins at about one deck width upstream the bridge while the deposition occurs at about 2.5 deck widths downstream the bridge;and the maximum scour depth decreases with increas-ing sediment size, but increases with deck inundation. The theoretical analysis shows that:bridge scour can be divided into three cases,i.e.downstream unsubmerged, partially submerged, and totally submerged. For downstream unsubmerged flows, the maximum bridge scour depth is an open-channel problem where the conventional methods in terms of critical velocity or bed shear stress can be applied;for partially and totally submerged flows, the equilibrium maximum scour depth can be described by a scour and an inundation similarity number, which has been confirmed by experiments with two decks and two sediment sizes. For application,a design and field evaluation procedure with examples is presented, including the maximum scour depth and scour profile.
