It is proved that a sparse solution can be found under the assumption that the connected matrixes have range space property(RSP). The accumulation of generated chemical wastes posed a serious problem for the UP College of Pharmacy. The faculty from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry devised a scheme for the identification and segregation... The accumulation of generated chemical wastes posed a serious problem for the UP College of Pharmacy. The faculty from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry devised a scheme for the identification and segregation of the chemical wastes and created a system for proper disposal of future chemical wastes. There were a total of 1,142 of accumulated chemical waste bottles, 804 of which were subjected to identification and segregation procedures. The wastes were preliminarily tested for its solubility/miscibility in water and acidity or basicity. The identification was done by qualitative tests for cyanide, sulfide, halogenated, non-halogenated, oxidizing, nitro, and heavy metal compounds. The final segregation was based on the presence of the most hazardous component or on pH and water-miscibility. The Department then developed and implemented a scheme for the proper disposal of the chemical wastes generated in laboratory experiments done in the College. Laboratory experiments were also modified to use less toxic and less amounts of chemicals. 展开更多

It is well known that static seals are usually designed to be used once. In this paper, we discuss the reusability of a type of static seal called the spring energized metal C ring, which is required to be reused 4-5 times without maintenance during the lifetime of the pump. A theoretical analysis based on the nonlinear finite element method and an experimental investigation of the reusability of the C ring are carried out. The effects of the elastic modulus of the ring material, the ring wall thickness, the amount of assembly interference between the spring and the C ring, the operating temperature and the compression ratio are discussed. The parameter S, which denotes the reaction force difference percentage, is determined to measure the reusability of the C ring. The results show that the ring wall thickness plays an important role in the reusability. Although the normal force of a thick wall decreases after the ring is reused eight times, the value is still higher than the first normal force of a thin wall. In contrast, the elastic modulus of the material has the lowest impact. Here, a pre-compression ratio of 18.2% not only produces a larger first normal force but also leads to a smaller reduction in the normal force when the ring is reused. A simulated experiment is carried out to investigate the influence of the coating of the C ring on its reusability. The results show that when plastic deformation occurs on the contact surface, the contact state of the C ring coating becomes a major factor that affects the seal performance. Aging treatment at high temperatures (250℃) reduces gized metal C ring, which leads to the deterioration in the reusability the binding force of the silver coating on the spring ener of the ring. 展开更多

With the widespread application of radionuclide ^235U(VI), it is inevitable that part of U(VI) is released into the natural environment. The potential toxicity and irreversibility impact on the natural environment has become one of the most forefront pollution problems in nuclear energy utilization. In this work, rod-like metal-organic framework (MOF-5) nanomaterial was synthesized by a solvothermal method and applied to efficiently adsorb U(VI) from aqueous solutions. The batch experimental results showed that the sorp- tion of U(Vl) on MOF-5 was strongly dependent on pH and independent of ionic strength, indicating that the dominant interaction mechanism was inner-sphere surface complexation and electrostatic interac- tion. The maximum sorption capacity of U(Vl) on MOF-5 was 237.0 mg]g at pH 5.0 and T = 298 K, and the sorption equilibrium reached within 5 rain. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that the removal of U(VI) on MOF-5 was a spontaneous and endothermic process. Additionally, the FT-IR and XPS analyses implied that the high sorption capacity of U(Vl) on MOF-5 was mainly attributed to the abundant oxygen-containing functional groups (i.e., C-O and C=O). Such a facile preparation method and efficient removal performance highlighted the application of MOF-5 as a candidate for rapid and efficient radionuclide contamination's elimination in practical applications. 展开更多

The properties of the low-lying energy states for the l00 Mo isotope is investigated within the framework of the proton-neutron interacting model IBM2. By considering the relative energy of the d proton boson to be different from that of the neutron boson and taking into account the dipole interacting among like-boson Lπ·Lπ and Lπ·Lπ, the low-lying energy spectrum is reproduced well. Particularly, the relative position of the energies for 2+1, 0+2, 2+2 and 4+1 states shifted correctly fit the experimental data. The electromagnetic properties, including the key observable B(E2) reduced transition branching ratios and the E2 reduced matrix elements of the experimental data, are well described. Our calculations show possible shape coexistence in the l00Mo nucleus. 展开更多
