This article constructs a regional industrial chain innovation chain integration development rating index system from three dimensions: the integration of innovation and production entities, technological innovation and industrial development, and the integration of original innovation and industrial application. It calculates the degree of industrial chain innovation chain integration development in 30 provinces (cities) in China from 1997 to 2021, and empirically tests the impact of FDI on the integration development of China’s industrial chain innovation chain.
