Organic wastewater is characterized by its diverse origins, high toxicity, and resistance to biodegradation, posing significant threats to human health, animal life, and the natural environment. The UV/H2O2 photochemical technology is an advanced oxidation technology which utilizes light energy to activate hydrogen peroxide, generating highly reactive hydroxyl radicals. These radicals can effectively degrade organic substances in wastewater into CO2, H2O and inorganic salts, making it a green and environmentally friendly process. This paper reviews the progress in the degradation of dye wastewater, phenolic wastewater, and pharmaceutical wastewater using UV/H2O2 technology, and briefly summarizes the photo-oxidation mechanisms involved in the degradation processes. Finally, we provide a concise overview of the current issues associated with UV/H2O2 technology and future development prospects.展开更多
