Cadaveric specimens of human mandibular canine were obtained from 4 adult donors, 16 transverse specimens were made from the sections of cervical margin, midroot and apex using the slow cutting machine. The prepared specimens were tested in different sections (along the longitudinal direction) and different areas (in the circumferential direction). According to the Oliver-Phair theory, the mean values of elastic modulus were calculated foreach area and the differences among them were compared. In the midroot section, the average elastic modulus is ranging from 0. 11 to 0. 23 MPa, the changing range of the cervical margin and apex are from 0. 21 to 0. 53 MPa and 0. 44 to0.62 MPa, respectively. Experimental results indicate that the average elastic modulus in the midroot is lower than that in the cervical margin and apex, and relatively small changes occur among them. However, there is a large change to the elastic modulus value in the cicumferential direction for the PDL.展开更多

Finite element method was used to predict final dimensions and decrease cost. The simulations of CIP of selective laser sintered parts were carried out by Drucker-Prager-Cap constitutive model with ABAQUS computer program. The property of metal powder was measured by CIP experiments. The results show the rubber bag and the friction coefficient have little influence on results of simulations. The parts only have uniform shrinkage and have no obvious distortion in shape. The results of simulations show a good agreement with the experimental results and the calculated results, indicating that the Drucker-Prager-Cap model is an effective model to simulate CIP process. The simulations could give a useful direction to forming process of the CIP of selective laser sintered components. K展开更多

This switch not only eliminates the nonlinearity introduced by gate-source voltage variation, but also reduces the nonlinearity resuiting from threshold voltage variation, which has not been accomplished in earlier low-voltage sampling switches. This is achieved by adopting a replica transistor with the same threshold voltage as the sampling transistor. The effectiveness of this technique is demonstrated by a prototype design of a sampling switch in 0. 35μm. The proposed sampling switch achieves a spurious free dynamic range of 111dB for a 0. 2MHz, 1.2Vp-p input signal, sampled at a rate of 2MS/s,about 18dB over the Bootstrapped switch. Also, the on-resistance variation is reduced by 90%. This method is especially useful for low-voltage, high resolution ADCs, which is a hot topic today.展开更多

The impact of real-time operating conditions such as ambient temperature and transformer MVA (megavolt-ampere) loading on transformer insulation life is studied in this paper. Portal vein pressure (PVP) was measured at four time periods: before ligation, 2 wk, 6 wk and 10 wk postsurgery. Portal venography, blood sampling and liver and spleen pathological examinations were conducted at 10 wk after surgery.RESULTS: The PVP was 9.15± 0.58 cmH2O before ligation, and increased to 17.32 ±0.63 cmH2O 2 wk after PVL. By repeat measurement of the PVP in each rat, it was shown to remain elevated for 10 wk. There were no significant differences in the pressure measurements at 2 wk, 6 wk and 10 wk. Varices were found mainly in the mesenteric vein 2 wk after PVL, which were more obvious later, while these manifestations were similar at week 6 and week 10. Portal venography demonstrated the varices and collaterals. There was no significant change in liver pathology. The volume of the spleen was enlarged 2-fold after ligation, and the sinus of the spleen was enlarged due to congestion. Significant sinus endothelial cell proliferation was observed, but no evidence of hypersplenia was found on hemogram and biochemical examination.CONCLUSION: These findings suggest that a satisfactory prehepatic PHT rat model can be obtained by partial ligation of the portal vein, and this PHT rat model was stable for at least 10 wk.展开更多
