The differential equations of torpedo motion were presented based on hydrodynamics. The Fourth order Runge-Kutta method was used to solve these equations. Derived from sonar equations and Snell' s law, a simple virtual underwater acoustic environment was established for simulating the torpedo homing process. The Newton iteration method was used to calculate homing range and ray tracing was approximated by pieccwise line, which takes into consideration distortions cause by temperature, pressure, and salinity in a given sea area. The influence of some acoustic warfare equipment disturb the torpedo homing process in certain circumstances, including decoys and jammers, was alsotaken into account in simulations. Relative target identification logic and homing control laws were presented. Equal consideration during research was given to the requirements of rcal-timeactivity as well as accuracy. Finally, a practical torpedo homing trajectory simulation program was developed and applied to certain projects.展开更多

There is growing concern about whether PWS programs have achieved their original environmental goals of improving water quality and quantity, as well as the ancillary objective of increasing the welfare of local people. We start with an overview of PWS schemes and focus on their particularity and implementation mechanisms in China. We proceed to review 62 active PWS cases and examine their environmental performance in detail. The resulting findings show that PWS schemes have been able to reduce water pollution to some extent by establishing collaborative upstream/downstream watershed management policies, thereby improving water quality and quantity, as well as by making government officials more responsible for water resource management. In addition, their continued effectiveness in light of present challenges such as water-quality data availability is discussed. Chinese PWS schemes and their implementation mechanisms also provide information useful in monitoring environmental outcomes and guiding future designs of PWS programs in other regions.展开更多

However, the performance of TRP is degraded in an uncertain environment. A technique based on the Maximin criterion is pro- posed for enhancing the robustness of TRP in a waveguide with uncertain water depth. The relationship between the water depth and the focal spot translation is examined based on the waveguide-invariant theory. Then the time reversal transmissiou scheme with the Maximin criterion is performed to maximize the minimum transmission power on a target of interest. At the receiving end, coherent summation operation is carried out over the received data by a reception focusing bank. If it is neces- sary to enhance the target echo further, the iterative time reversal can be considered where the target echo corresponding to the first time reversal transmission is regarded as a secondary source. Numerical simulations and experimental results of the target localization in a waveguide tank have verified the effectiveness of robust TRP.展开更多
