Based on the research on the rural living standard in China in terms of annual net income per capita, we de-fine six types of village-level economy, i.e. "to be extremely poor", "to make a basic living&...Based on the research on the rural living standard in China in terms of annual net income per capita, we de-fine six types of village-level economy, i.e. "to be extremely poor", "to make a basic living", "to dress warmly and eat one's fill", "to try to enrich (to disengage poverty)", "to be well-off" and "to be affluent". The data of average annual net income of all the 292 villages between 1990 and 2004 in rural Gongyi City, Henan Province were collected, veri-fied and classified. By using standard deviation, coefficient of variation and regression analysis, it is found that the Gongyi's rural economy has boosted up remarkably from the relative-poverty and absolute-poverty stages in 1990 to the well-off in 2004. However, the absolute differences between villages present a trend of enlargement, while the rela-tive differences fluctuating. On the other hand, spatial analysis of village-level economy shows that most villages with relatively high economic development level were located along national expressway and most villages with abso-lute-poverty lay in remote mountainous areas in 1990. Since the 1990s, the rapid urbanization and industrialization have had strongly positive effects on rural economic growth. Initial economic foundation, natural resources and tradi-tional techniques also contribute to village economy. From the perspective of geography, villages with location advan-tages, such as near urban center or industrial parks, have more chances for their economic development and the "core-periphery" economic structure has been presented in the process of rural development.展开更多

In this paper, groundwater quality evaluation is carried out in the Balad district, Salah Al-Din Governorate, Iraq. A total of 28 groundwater samples are collected from shallow tube wells and analyzed for various physicochemical parameters. Groundwater suitability for drinking is evaluated based on the World Health Organization(WHO) and Iraqi standards, and suitability of groundwater for irrigation is assessed based on various hydrochemical parameters. The results reveal that the dominant types of groundwater based on piper diagram are mixed CaMgCl and CaCl. Gibbs ratio indicates that the groundwater in the studied area is affected by the evaporation process. The cation-anion exchange reaction in the studied area demonstrates that 54% of the groundwater samples indicate a direct base(cation-anion) exchange reaction, while 46% of the groundwater samples indicating the chloro-alkaline disequilibrium. Furthermore, generally all of the groundwater samples are unsuitable for drinking and irrigation. Cluster analysis reveals two different groups of similarities between the groundwater samples, reflecting different pollution levels in the studied area.展开更多

There are many heat damage problems with the increase of mining depth. The technology of using doublet wells, together with Heat Exchange Machine Systems (HEMSs), to store cold energy is a key to solve the heat damage problems in deep mines. Based on the geological conditions, thermodynamic and hydraulic parameters of Jiahe Mine, the isotherms in the period of cold energy storage and refrigeration and the volumes of cold water within different temperature ranges of the cold energy storage well were numerically analyzed. The results show that 1) with the same pumped and injected water volumes, the lower the temperature of injected water is, the larger the volume.of cold water in the cold energy storage well is. With the larger volume, the effect of cold energy storage is better. 2) the larger the volumes of pumped and reinjected water frigeration is better. And 3) without disturbance, the volume and temperature of cold water in the cold energy storage well can keep unchanged or have only a little change for a long time. Therefore the technology of doublet wells for cold energy storage is feasible and the cold energy storage aquifers can meet the requirement of the technology.展开更多

Simulation results revealed that the mining sequences had a significant influence on the seepage, dis- placement and failure characteristics of the overlying strata. In this kind of geological and hydrogeological conditions, the workface close to the outcrop of coal seam easily suffers from water inrush and quicksand during mining. In the simulation re- sults, the plastic zone, vertical displacement and pore water pressure in the overlying strata of the workface decrease more or less using the upward mining sequence than using the downward mining sequence. Therefore, the application of the upward mining sequence in the process of mining is preferential to prevent water inrush and quicksand.展开更多

The xanthan-based precursor (Xan-MA) was prepared by substitutin...A novel class of xanthan-maleic anhydride (Xan-MA)/poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) hybrid hydrogels was designed and synthesized by solution polymerization. The xanthan-based precursor (Xan-MA) was prepared by substituting the hydroxyl groups in Xan by MA. This Xan-MA precursor was then polymerized with a known temperature sensitive precursor (N-isopropylacrylamide, NIPAAm) to form hybrid hydrogels with a series range of composition ratio of Xan-MA to NIPAAm precursors. These smart hydrogels were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy for structural determination, differential scanning calorimertry for thermal property. And maximum swelling ratio, swelling kinetics and temperature response kinetics were studied. The data obtained clearly show that these smart hydrogels are responsive to the external changes of temperature as well as pH value. The magnitudes of smart and hydrogel properties of these hybrid hydrogels depend on the feed composition ratio of the two precursors. With the increase of the content of Xan-MA the maximum swelling ratio, reswelling ratio and thermo-sensitivities increase, and the feed composition ratio of Xan-MA/NIPAAm increases the maximum swelling ratio augment from 13.88 to 23.21. From XMN0, XMN1, XMN3 to XMN5, the lower critical solution temperatures (LCSTs) are 33.02, 36.15, 40.28 and 41.92 ℃, respectively. By changing the composition ratio of these two precursors, the LCST of the hybrid hydrogels could also be adjusted to be or near the body temperature for the potential applications in bioengineering and biotechnology fields.展开更多

The data were interpreted by pathway enrichment and target score calculation.Results This study:(1) Demonstrated the potential of monotropein to be a multi-target drug against colorectal cancer using a computational approach;(2) Discovered 10 candidate targets of monotropein, among which protein kinase B(AKT1)exhibited the highest relevance and importance to colorectal cancer and proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase Src(SRC),Bruton’s tyrosine kinase(BTK), and heat shock protein HSP 90-alpha(HSP90 AA1) also exhibited high relevance;(3) Observed 32 possible pathways related to the effects of monotropein on colorectal cancer, which might explain the mechanism of its action;and(4) Established a method to assess the importance of targets in the network.Conclusions This study offered clues for the mechanism of the bioactivities of monotropein against colorectal cancer by network analysis. Monotropein has the potential to be a multi-target drug against colorectal cancer, which lays the foundation for its clinical applications and further study.展开更多

Based on the actual process model, the operation optimization analysis of each plant(HAc dehydration column, decanter and NPA recycle column) was conducted using Residue Curve Maps(RCMs),sensitivity analysis and software optimization module. Based on the optimized parameters, the influence of feed impurity MA and the temperature of decanter on the separating effect and energy consumption of the whole process were analyzed. Then the whole process operation optimizing strategy was proposed with the objective that the total reboiler duty Q Total of C-1 and C-3 reaches the minimum value, keeping C-1 and C-3 at their optimized separation parameters obtained above, connecting all the broken recycle and connection streams, and using the temperature of D-1 as operation variable. The optimization result shows that the total reboiler duty Q Total of the whole process can reach the minimum value of 128.32 × 10~6 k J·h^(-1) when the temperature of decanter is 352.35 K, and it can save 5.94 × 10~6 k J·h^(-1), about 2.56 t·h^(-1) low-pressure saturated vapor.展开更多
Multivariate statistical techniques,such as cluster analysis(CA),discriminant analysis(DA),principal component analysis(PCA) and factor analysis(FA),were applied to evaluate and interpret the surface water quality dat...Multivariate statistical techniques,such as cluster analysis(CA),discriminant analysis(DA),principal component analysis(PCA) and factor analysis(FA),were applied to evaluate and interpret the surface water quality data sets of the Second Songhua River(SSHR) basin in China,obtained during two years(2012-2013) of monitoring of 10 physicochemical parameters at 15 different sites.The results showed that most of physicochemical parameters varied significantly among the sampling sites.Three significant groups,highly polluted(HP),moderately polluted(MP) and less polluted(LP),of sampling sites were obtained through Hierarchical agglomerative CA on the basis of similarity of water quality characteristics.DA identified p H,F,DO,NH3-N,COD and VPhs were the most important parameters contributing to spatial variations of surface water quality.However,DA did not give a considerable data reduction(40% reduction).PCA/FA resulted in three,three and four latent factors explaining 70%,62% and 71% of the total variance in water quality data sets of HP,MP and LP regions,respectively.FA revealed that the SSHR water chemistry was strongly affected by anthropogenic activities(point sources:industrial effluents and wastewater treatment plants;non-point sources:domestic sewage,livestock operations and agricultural activities) and natural processes(seasonal effect,and natural inputs).PCA/FA in the whole basin showed the best results for data reduction because it used only two parameters(about 80% reduction) as the most important parameters to explain 72% of the data variation.Thus,this work illustrated the utility of multivariate statistical techniques for analysis and interpretation of datasets and,in water quality assessment,identification of pollution sources/factors and understanding spatial variations in water quality for effective stream water quality management.展开更多

However, tradit...Mountain catchments are prone to flash flooding due to heavy rainfall. Enhanced understanding of the generation and evolution processes of flash floods is essential for effective flood risk management. However, traditional distributed hydrological models based on kinematic and diffusion wave approximations ignore certain physical mechanisms of flash floods and thus bear excessive uncertainty. Here a hydrodynamic model is presented for flash floods based on the full two-dimensional shallow water equations incorporating rainfall and infiltration. Laboratory experiments of overland flows were modelled to illustrate the capability of the model. Then the model was applied to resolve two observed flash floods of distinct magnitudes in the Lengkou catchment in Shanxi Province, China. The present model is shown to be able to reproduce the flood flows fairly well compared to the observed data. The spatial distribution of rainfall is shown to be crucial for the modelling of flash floods. Sensitivity analyses of the model parameters reveal that the stage and discharge hydrographs are more sensitive to the Manning roughness and initial water content in the catchment than to the Green-Ampt head. Most notably, as the flash flood augments due to heavier rainfall, the modelling results agree with observed data better, which clearly characterizes the paramount role of rainfall in dictating the floods. From practical perspectives, the proposed model is more appropriate for modelling large flash floods.展开更多

The bacterium was Gram-negative, rod-shaped, and identified preliminarily as Alcaligenes sp. according to its morphological and physiological properties and its 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. In the high concentration ammonium medium (400 mg·L 1 4 NH -N), the effects of C source, N source, C/N ratio and initial pH of medium on ammonium removal were investigated in order to determine the optimal condition for strain W1. The maximum ammonium removal was around 95% in 4 days in an improved medium. The production of N 2 gas was examined in a closed system that was full of pure oxygen at the beginning. N 2 gas was detected in the system after 4 days of cultivation, which further testified that strain W1 has heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification abilities simultaneously.展开更多

Stability solutions taking into account of water seepage were presented and compared with those without considering seepage. The comparisons indicate that the maximum difference does not exceed 3.7%,which proves the present method credible. The results show that stability numbers of shallow tunnels considering seepage are much less than those without considering seepage,and that the difference of stability numbers between considering seepage and without considering seepage increase with increasing the depth ratio. The stability numbers decrease with increasing permeability coefficient and groundwater depth. Seepage has significant effects on the stability numbers of shallow tunnels.展开更多
The C-H stretch vibrational spectra of the trisiloxane superspreading surfactant Silwet L-77 ((CH3)3Si- O-Si(CH3)(C3H6)(OCH2CH2)7-8OCH3)-O-Si(CH3)3) at the air/water interface are measured with the surfac...The C-H stretch vibrational spectra of the trisiloxane superspreading surfactant Silwet L-77 ((CH3)3Si- O-Si(CH3)(C3H6)(OCH2CH2)7-8OCH3)-O-Si(CH3)3) at the air/water interface are measured with the surface Sum Frequency Generation Vibrational Spectroscopy (SFG-VS). The spectra are dominated with the features from the -Si-CH3 groups around 2905 cm^-1 (symmetric stretch or SS mode) and 2957 ^-1 (mostly the asymmetric stretch or AS mode), and with the weak but apparent contribution from the -O-CH2- groups around 2880 ^-1 (symmetric stretch or SS mode). Comparison of the polarization dependent SFG spectra below and above the critical aggregate or micelle concentration (CAC) indicates that the molecular orientation of the C-H related molecular groups remained unchanged at different surface densities of the Silwet L-77 surfactant. The SFG-VS adsorption isotherm suggested that there was no sign of Silwet L-77 bilayer structure formation at the air/water interface. The Gibbs adsorption free energy of the Silwet surfactant to the air/water interface is -42.2±0.8kcal/mol, indicating the unusually strong adsorption ability of the Silwet L-77 superspreading surfactant.展开更多

The main characteristic of this process is that sludge and nitrified effluent can be recycled automatically, which simplifies the operation of system and is beneficial to get the high removal of organics and nitrogen. Based on the analysis of circumstance influence factors, it is recommended that water temperature of about 20℃, influent pH of 6 -7 and DO of 1. 0 mg/L - 1. 5 mg/L in the aerobic compartment. Under these conditions, COD, BOD5, NH4+ -N, and TN were removed effectively in HMBR and the average removal efficiencies were 94.5%, 99.3%, 99.4% and 84.7%, respectively. SS and coliforms were both below the detection limits in the permeate of UF membrane module, and turbidity was less than 1NTU. The treated effluent meets the Miscellaneous Domestic Water Quality Standard (CJ25.1-89), and can be reused multipurposely such as watering of green belts, cleaning and toilet flushing water after disinfection.展开更多

This study considered four factors and these included landuse t...The study identified spatial variations in flood vulnerability levels in Port Harcourt metropolis with the use of GIS (geographic information systems). This study considered four factors and these included landuse types, drainage, residential densities and elevation. The elevation data and drainage data were derived from the topographical map of scale 1:35,000, while the land use types were derived from the imagery of Port Harcourt metropolis downloaded from Google Earth, 2010 version. Both the topographical map and imagery were geo-referenced to geographic coordinates and geographic features were digitized in form of shapefiles using both ArcView GIS 3.3 and ArcGIS 9.2 versions. AHP (analytical hierarchical process) was adopted in this study whereby many flood factors were ranked and overlaid for decision making. The contour data was used to generate the DEM (digital elevation model) through the process called kriging in ArcGIS 9.2. Based on the ranking index, factors considered were reclassified to three levels of vulnerability namely highly vulnerable, moderately vulnerable and lowly vulnerable through ranking method and these reclassified factors were then overlaid using an addition operator. The analysis shows that communities like Eagle Island, Ojimbo, Kidney Island were highly vulnerable to flood while communities like Choba, Ogbogoro, Rumualogu were moderately vulnerable. Communities like Rumuigbo, Rumuodomaya etc. were lowly vulnerable to flood. The highly vulnerable places covered 98.18 km2, moderately vulnerable was 220.46 km2 and lowly vulnerable areas covered 330.77 km2.展开更多

In this kind of geological and hydrogeological conditions, the workface close to the outcrop of coal seam easily suffers from water inrush and quicksand during mining. In the simulation re- sults, the plastic zone, vertical displacement and pore water pressure in the overlying strata of the workface decrease more or less using the upward mining sequence than using the downward mining sequence. Therefore, the application of the upward mining sequence in the process of mining is preferential to prevent water inrush and quicksand.
文摘A novel class of xanthan-maleic anhydride (Xan-MA)/poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) hybrid hydrogels was designed and synthesized by solution polymerization. The xanthan-based precursor (Xan-MA) was prepared by substituting the hydroxyl groups in Xan by MA. This Xan-MA precursor was then polymerized with a known temperature sensitive precursor (N-isopropylacrylamide, NIPAAm) to form hybrid hydrogels with a series range of composition ratio of Xan-MA to NIPAAm precursors. These smart hydrogels were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy for structural determination, differential scanning calorimertry for thermal property. And maximum swelling ratio, swelling kinetics and temperature response kinetics were studied. The data obtained clearly show that these smart hydrogels are responsive to the external changes of temperature as well as pH value. The magnitudes of smart and hydrogel properties of these hybrid hydrogels depend on the feed composition ratio of the two precursors. With the increase of the content of Xan-MA the maximum swelling ratio, reswelling ratio and thermo-sensitivities increase, and the feed composition ratio of Xan-MA/NIPAAm increases the maximum swelling ratio augment from 13.88 to 23.21. From XMN0, XMN1, XMN3 to XMN5, the lower critical solution temperatures (LCSTs) are 33.02, 36.15, 40.28 and 41.92 ℃, respectively. By changing the composition ratio of these two precursors, the LCST of the hybrid hydrogels could also be adjusted to be or near the body temperature for the potential applications in bioengineering and biotechnology fields.

文摘Pulsed signal experiment was carried out to determine the hydrodynamic behaviours of lateral flow biological aerated filter(LBAF). With the analysis of experimental results, LBAF is viewed as an approximate plug flow reactor, and hydraulic retention time distribution function was derived based on LBAF. The results show that flow rate and aeration strength are two critical factors which influence flow patterns in LBAF reactor. The hydrodynamic behaviour analysis of LBAF is the theoretical basis of future research on improving capacity factor and developing kinetic model for the reactor.

文摘Objective To discover the pharmacological mechanisms of monotropein in colorectal cancer by network pharmacology methods.Methods The main-candidate-target network was constructed by the prediction of targets of monotropein, collection of therapeutic targets of colorectal cancer drugs, and construction of the target network and layers of screening. The data were interpreted by pathway enrichment and target score calculation.Results This study:(1) Demonstrated the potential of monotropein to be a multi-target drug against colorectal cancer using a computational approach;(2) Discovered 10 candidate targets of monotropein, among which protein kinase B(AKT1)exhibited the highest relevance and importance to colorectal cancer and proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase Src(SRC),Bruton’s tyrosine kinase(BTK), and heat shock protein HSP 90-alpha(HSP90 AA1) also exhibited high relevance;(3) Observed 32 possible pathways related to the effects of monotropein on colorectal cancer, which might explain the mechanism of its action;and(4) Established a method to assess the importance of targets in the network.Conclusions This study offered clues for the mechanism of the bioactivities of monotropein against colorectal cancer by network analysis. Monotropein has the potential to be a multi-target drug against colorectal cancer, which lays the foundation for its clinical applications and further study.
文摘The development of the recrystallization texture of the alloy AA3104 was investigated by analysis of orientation distribution functions determined by X-ray diffraction,supported by EBSD local texture analysis.A typical β-fiber with nearly 20%Bs orientation {011}211 was detected in the final hot rolled sheet.At the beginning of annealing at 350 ℃,the cube component{001}100 got a sharp increase.TEM results show that the growth of both number and size of precipitation appears to inhibit the advantage of Cube orientation {001}100 notably after annealing at 350 ℃ for 15 min.Finally,it comes out to be a random distributed orientation by full recry stallization.

文摘The simulated process model of the HAc dehydration process under actual overloaded condition was conducted by amending the model of standard condition in our previous work using the process data collected from actual production. Based on the actual process model, the operation optimization analysis of each plant(HAc dehydration column, decanter and NPA recycle column) was conducted using Residue Curve Maps(RCMs),sensitivity analysis and software optimization module. Based on the optimized parameters, the influence of feed impurity MA and the temperature of decanter on the separating effect and energy consumption of the whole process were analyzed. Then the whole process operation optimizing strategy was proposed with the objective that the total reboiler duty Q Total of C-1 and C-3 reaches the minimum value, keeping C-1 and C-3 at their optimized separation parameters obtained above, connecting all the broken recycle and connection streams, and using the temperature of D-1 as operation variable. The optimization result shows that the total reboiler duty Q Total of the whole process can reach the minimum value of 128.32 × 10~6 k J·h^(-1) when the temperature of decanter is 352.35 K, and it can save 5.94 × 10~6 k J·h^(-1), about 2.56 t·h^(-1) low-pressure saturated vapor.

文摘Multivariate statistical techniques,such as cluster analysis(CA),discriminant analysis(DA),principal component analysis(PCA) and factor analysis(FA),were applied to evaluate and interpret the surface water quality data sets of the Second Songhua River(SSHR) basin in China,obtained during two years(2012-2013) of monitoring of 10 physicochemical parameters at 15 different sites.The results showed that most of physicochemical parameters varied significantly among the sampling sites.Three significant groups,highly polluted(HP),moderately polluted(MP) and less polluted(LP),of sampling sites were obtained through Hierarchical agglomerative CA on the basis of similarity of water quality characteristics.DA identified p H,F,DO,NH3-N,COD and VPhs were the most important parameters contributing to spatial variations of surface water quality.However,DA did not give a considerable data reduction(40% reduction).PCA/FA resulted in three,three and four latent factors explaining 70%,62% and 71% of the total variance in water quality data sets of HP,MP and LP regions,respectively.FA revealed that the SSHR water chemistry was strongly affected by anthropogenic activities(point sources:industrial effluents and wastewater treatment plants;non-point sources:domestic sewage,livestock operations and agricultural activities) and natural processes(seasonal effect,and natural inputs).PCA/FA in the whole basin showed the best results for data reduction because it used only two parameters(about 80% reduction) as the most important parameters to explain 72% of the data variation.Thus,this work illustrated the utility of multivariate statistical techniques for analysis and interpretation of datasets and,in water quality assessment,identification of pollution sources/factors and understanding spatial variations in water quality for effective stream water quality management.

文摘Mountain catchments are prone to flash flooding due to heavy rainfall. Enhanced understanding of the generation and evolution processes of flash floods is essential for effective flood risk management. However, traditional distributed hydrological models based on kinematic and diffusion wave approximations ignore certain physical mechanisms of flash floods and thus bear excessive uncertainty. Here a hydrodynamic model is presented for flash floods based on the full two-dimensional shallow water equations incorporating rainfall and infiltration. Laboratory experiments of overland flows were modelled to illustrate the capability of the model. Then the model was applied to resolve two observed flash floods of distinct magnitudes in the Lengkou catchment in Shanxi Province, China. The present model is shown to be able to reproduce the flood flows fairly well compared to the observed data. The spatial distribution of rainfall is shown to be crucial for the modelling of flash floods. Sensitivity analyses of the model parameters reveal that the stage and discharge hydrographs are more sensitive to the Manning roughness and initial water content in the catchment than to the Green-Ampt head. Most notably, as the flash flood augments due to heavier rainfall, the modelling results agree with observed data better, which clearly characterizes the paramount role of rainfall in dictating the floods. From practical perspectives, the proposed model is more appropriate for modelling large flash floods.

文摘In the view of the problems existing in horizontal well,such as sand depositing and cleaning difficulty of borehole,a technology with rotating jet suitable to resolution of the problems was presented.Based on liquid solid two-phase flow theory,the analyses on the sand movement law and the swirling field influential factors were conducted.Results show that:1) With the increasing of displacement in horizontal section annulus,swirling field strength increases,and when the displacement is constant,the closer from the nozzle,the stronger the swirling field strength is;2) Head rotating speed and liquid viscosity have little influence on the swirling field strength,but the sand-carrying rate of fluid can increase by increasing liquid viscosity in a certain range;3) Rotating the string and reducing its eccentricity in annulus are conducive for sand migration in the annulus;4) The sand can be suspended and accelerated again and the swirling field strength is enhanced by the helix agitator.Hence,the research results provide the theoretical basis for the design and application of rotating jet tool.

文摘In a high concentration substrate medium, a heterotrophic bacterium with high removal efficiency of ammonium, named W1, was isolated from activated sludge of coking wastewater treatment facility. The bacterium was Gram-negative, rod-shaped, and identified preliminarily as Alcaligenes sp. according to its morphological and physiological properties and its 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. In the high concentration ammonium medium (400 mg·L 1 4 NH -N), the effects of C source, N source, C/N ratio and initial pH of medium on ammonium removal were investigated in order to determine the optimal condition for strain W1. The maximum ammonium removal was around 95% in 4 days in an improved medium. The production of N 2 gas was examined in a closed system that was full of pure oxygen at the beginning. N 2 gas was detected in the system after 4 days of cultivation, which further testified that strain W1 has heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification abilities simultaneously.

文摘Based on strength reduction theory,the stability numbers of shallow tunnels were investigated within the framework of upper and lower bound theorems of limit analysis. Stability solutions taking into account of water seepage were presented and compared with those without considering seepage. The comparisons indicate that the maximum difference does not exceed 3.7%,which proves the present method credible. The results show that stability numbers of shallow tunnels considering seepage are much less than those without considering seepage,and that the difference of stability numbers between considering seepage and without considering seepage increase with increasing the depth ratio. The stability numbers decrease with increasing permeability coefficient and groundwater depth. Seepage has significant effects on the stability numbers of shallow tunnels.
文摘The C-H stretch vibrational spectra of the trisiloxane superspreading surfactant Silwet L-77 ((CH3)3Si- O-Si(CH3)(C3H6)(OCH2CH2)7-8OCH3)-O-Si(CH3)3) at the air/water interface are measured with the surface Sum Frequency Generation Vibrational Spectroscopy (SFG-VS). The spectra are dominated with the features from the -Si-CH3 groups around 2905 cm^-1 (symmetric stretch or SS mode) and 2957 ^-1 (mostly the asymmetric stretch or AS mode), and with the weak but apparent contribution from the -O-CH2- groups around 2880 ^-1 (symmetric stretch or SS mode). Comparison of the polarization dependent SFG spectra below and above the critical aggregate or micelle concentration (CAC) indicates that the molecular orientation of the C-H related molecular groups remained unchanged at different surface densities of the Silwet L-77 surfactant. The SFG-VS adsorption isotherm suggested that there was no sign of Silwet L-77 bilayer structure formation at the air/water interface. The Gibbs adsorption free energy of the Silwet surfactant to the air/water interface is -42.2±0.8kcal/mol, indicating the unusually strong adsorption ability of the Silwet L-77 superspreading surfactant.
文摘Circumstance influence factors on Hybrid Membrane Bio-Reactor (HMBR) process for the wastewater reclamation in dwelling district was analyzed. The main characteristic of this process is that sludge and nitrified effluent can be recycled automatically, which simplifies the operation of system and is beneficial to get the high removal of organics and nitrogen. Based on the analysis of circumstance influence factors, it is recommended that water temperature of about 20℃, influent pH of 6 -7 and DO of 1. 0 mg/L - 1. 5 mg/L in the aerobic compartment. Under these conditions, COD, BOD5, NH4+ -N, and TN were removed effectively in HMBR and the average removal efficiencies were 94.5%, 99.3%, 99.4% and 84.7%, respectively. SS and coliforms were both below the detection limits in the permeate of UF membrane module, and turbidity was less than 1NTU. The treated effluent meets the Miscellaneous Domestic Water Quality Standard (CJ25.1-89), and can be reused multipurposely such as watering of green belts, cleaning and toilet flushing water after disinfection.
文摘The study identified spatial variations in flood vulnerability levels in Port Harcourt metropolis with the use of GIS (geographic information systems). This study considered four factors and these included landuse types, drainage, residential densities and elevation. The elevation data and drainage data were derived from the topographical map of scale 1:35,000, while the land use types were derived from the imagery of Port Harcourt metropolis downloaded from Google Earth, 2010 version. Both the topographical map and imagery were geo-referenced to geographic coordinates and geographic features were digitized in form of shapefiles using both ArcView GIS 3.3 and ArcGIS 9.2 versions. AHP (analytical hierarchical process) was adopted in this study whereby many flood factors were ranked and overlaid for decision making. The contour data was used to generate the DEM (digital elevation model) through the process called kriging in ArcGIS 9.2. Based on the ranking index, factors considered were reclassified to three levels of vulnerability namely highly vulnerable, moderately vulnerable and lowly vulnerable through ranking method and these reclassified factors were then overlaid using an addition operator. The analysis shows that communities like Eagle Island, Ojimbo, Kidney Island were highly vulnerable to flood while communities like Choba, Ogbogoro, Rumualogu were moderately vulnerable. Communities like Rumuigbo, Rumuodomaya etc. were lowly vulnerable to flood. The highly vulnerable places covered 98.18 km2, moderately vulnerable was 220.46 km2 and lowly vulnerable areas covered 330.77 km2.

文摘To improve the mixing efficiency in water purification or wastewater treatment process and understand the mechanism of mass transfer,and a suitable evaluation factor is introduced to evaluate the efficiency of mixing process.The diffusion mass transfer under turbulent condition is investigated based on dynamic and mathematical analysis.The results indicate that submicroscopic diffusion is the rate-limiting step in mass transfer,and the inertia effect of micro vortex causes the phase mixing.An excellent efficiency can be obtained by controlling the scale of micro vortex within millimeter.Furthermore,a new indicator named mixing factor(IH)is proposed to evaluate the efficiency of mixing processes,which is more feasible than conventional evaluation methods,because of its connection of mixing extent with energy consumption.
