The result indicates that cold eddies (warm eddies) corresponding to the first baroclinic mode of Rossby wave can weaken (strengthen) the strength of the KFETW and narrow (widen) the width of this front. A frontal wave of the KFETW during January to February in 1991 is detected from the reanalysis data. And the trough (crest) of the frontal wave may weaken (strengthen) the strength of the KFETW and narrow (widen) the width and thickness of this front. It is found through the diagnostic analysis of the energy source of the frontal wave that the contribution of barotropic instability or that of baroclinic instability is more than that of Ketvin-Helmholtz (K-H) instability by 1 - 2 order of magnitude, and the contribution of the baroclinic instability is 5 times than that of the barotropic instability, thereby the frontal wave is basically driven by the baroclinic instability.展开更多

In its implementation, a data mapping algorithm is used to obtain offset-plane-wave data sets from the common-midpoint gathers followed by a non-recursive phase-shift solution with amplitude correction to generate common-image gathers in offset-ray-parameter domain and a structural image. Theoretical model tests and a real data example show that our prestack time migration approach is helpful for AVO analysis in complex geological environments.展开更多

Br.) Oliv., the effects of microwave power, ethanol concentration, solid to liquid ratio and extraction time on polyphenols extraction rate were investigated. On the basis of single-factor test, a four-factor and three-level orthogonal test was designed by response surface method to establish a mathematical model between the response value and various factors. The results showed that the intensity of effect of different influencing factor on polyphenols ex- traction rate ranked as microwave power's〉solid to liquid ratio's〉extraction time's〉 ethanol concentration's. The optimum microwave-assisted extraction conditions for polyphenols from L. chinense were as follows: extraction power 254 W, ethanol concentration 60%, extraction time 12.5 rain and solid to liquid ratio 1:17. Under the optimum extraction conditions, the extraction rate of polyphenols from L. chinense was 19.17%.展开更多

For the special geological features of the Takelamagan Desert area, we use the multi-channel analysis of surface wave (MASW) method to process multi-channel shallow surface wave records to determine the near surface velocity structure in the desert area. We also process, analyze, and compare the surface waves in many-trace records extracted from the oil exploration shot gathers in the area. We show that the MASW method can determine detailed shallow velocity structure in desert areas and the many-trace records can be used to get detailed deep geological structure. The combination of the two different datasets can obtain the exact velocity structure upper 60 m depth in the survey area.展开更多

The results show that there is a significant expansion of the northern edge of the WPWP in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This variation is mainly within 120°E-160°E by 8°N-20°N, we define this region (120°E-160°E by 8°N-20°N) as the core region. Furthermore, analyses on upper ocean heat budget show that the short wave radiation plays a key role in the northward expansion of the northern edge of the WPWP in the core region. It is proved that the northward expansion may be caused by the change of the mixed layer which became shallower in 1994-2006 compared with 1984-1993 in the study region. The short wave radiation flux distribution within the shallower mixed layer leads to a positive anomaly in seawater temperature, promoting the northward expansion of the WPWP.展开更多

Influences of the zonal winds in equatorial eastern and middle/western Pacific on the SSTA in the equatorial region and their contribution to the latter are diagnosed and verified with observations of a number of significant El Nio and La Nia episodes. New viewpoints are propsed. The methods of wavelet decomposition and reconstruction are used to build a predictive model based on independent domains of frequency, which shows some advantages in composite prediction and prediction validity. The methods presented above are of non-linearity, error-allowing and auto-adaptive/learning, in addition to rapid and easy access, illustrative and quantitative presentation, and analyzed results that agree generally with facts. They are useful in diagnosing and predicting the El Nio and La Nia problems that are just roughly described in dynamics.展开更多

Modeled seismic channels are established and the real seismic channels are classified. Thus, a distribution of micro-seismic facies having a high precision over a fiat surface was acquired. This method applied to existing geological data allows the distribution of areas rich in coal bed methane to be clearly defined. A distribution map of the micro-seismic facies in the research area is shown. The data accord well with measured methane con- tents, indicating that the analysis using micro-seismic facies is reliable and effective. A mass transfer control model is built by the theory of multiphysics, phase transformation and diffusion. The model contains continuity equation, energy conservation equation, movement equation and vapor diffusion equation. To gain the solution of the mass transfer model, the formulas are simplified to one-dimensional differential equations. And then a mathematical model of boundary conditions is established. The mass transfer velocity and dissipative energy are obtained in different moisture contents through simulation of asphalt pavements recycling. The result indicates that when initial moisture content is certain, mass transfer velocity is almost uniform in depth direction at the same heating time and enertrv absorbed by water i,~ descendino with denletion of moisture.展开更多

This paper presents the current status of ambient noise data processing and its development history over the past several years, with the intention to explain and justify this development through salient examples. The ambient noise data processing procedure can be divided into four principal phases: ① single station data preparation; ② cross- correlation and temporal stacking; ③ measurements of dispersion curves ( performed with frequency-time analysis for both group and phase speeds) ; ④ quality control, including SNR analysis and selection of the acceptable measurements. In addition, we provide a specific solution for a better use of the seismic station data to ambient noise study.展开更多
