Hence we need to reduce it using basic models and solve the models using approximate methods. A non-linear model of the thermally and wind-driven ocean circulation is used in this paper. The results show that the zero solution of the linear equation is a stable focus point, which is the path curve trend origin point as time (t) trend to infinity. By using the homotopic mapping perturbation method, the exact solution of the model is obtained. The homotopic mapping perturbation method is an analytic solving method, so the obtained solution can be used for analytic operating sequentially. And then we can also obtain the diversified qualitative and quantitative behaviors for corresponding physical quantities.展开更多

It is a complicated nonlinear system. Its appearance badly affects not only natural conditions such as climate and environment, but also global economic development and human living, and brings about many calamities. Thus there is very attractive study on its rules in the international academic circles. Many scholars made more studies on its local and whole behaviors using different methods, such as self-anamnestic principle, Fokker-Plank Equation method, higher order singular pedigree and predictable study, rapid change on boundary, indeterminate adaptive control, multi-eogradient method and so on. Nonlinear perturbed theory and approximate method are very attractive studies in the international academic circles. Many scholars considered a class of nonlinear problems for the ordinary differential equation, the reaction diffusion equations, the boundary value of elliptic equation, the initial boundary value of hyperbolic equation, the shock layer solution of nonlinear equation and so on. In this paper, a class of perturbed mechanism for the western boundary undercurrents in the equator Pacific is considered. Under suitable conditions, using a homotopic mapping theory and method, we obtain a simple and rapid arbitrary order approximate solution for the corresponding nonlinear system. For example, a special case shows that using the homotopic mapping method, there is a high accuracy for the computed value. It is also provided from the results that the solution for homotopic mapping solving method can be used for analyzing operator for perturbed mechanism of western boundary undercurrents in the equator Pacific.展开更多

We propose an effective data structure called Round-robin Buddy Bloom Filters (RBBF) to detect duplicate elements in flows. A two-stage approximate algorithm based on RBBF which can be used for detecting service nodes from NetFlow data is also given and the perfonmnce of the algorithm is analyzed. In our case, the proposed algorithm uses about 1% memory of hash table with false positive error rate less than 5%. A proto-type system, which is compatible with both IPv4 and IPv6, using the proposed data structure and al-gorithm is introduced. The DFT approach for LJ fluid is simple, quantitatively accurate in a wide range of coexistence phase and external field parameters. Especially, the DFT approach only needs a second order direct correlation function (DCF) of the coexistence bulk fluid as input, and is therefore applicable to the subcritical temperature region. The present theoretical method can be regarded as a non-uniform counterpart of the thermodynamic perturbation theory, in which it is not at the level of the free energy but at the level of the second order DCF.the National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 20546004) and the Natural Science Foundation of Education Department of Hunan Province (No.04C711).展开更多

The numerical analogue of Duhamers theorem was used to describe processes of propagation of impurity in the atmosphere. Such approach allows you to count on essential increase of calculation accuracy based on mathematical models of reasonable complexity. The inverse problem of pollutants propagation in the atmosphere based on the measurements of the impurity concentration in stationary or mobile control points was solved by the sequential function approximation The solution was presented in the form of a digital filter.展开更多

To obtain these TFs a small-signal analysis is required. The CCM (continuous conduction mode) and the DCM (discontinuous conduction mode) analysis are different. When a circuit includes the loss resistances of the components, the number of parameters increases considerably, making manual nodal-loop circuit analysis techniques impractical to obtain the TFs. Moreover, these circuits are bilinear (non-linear) and it is necessary to linearize the equations at a DC operating-point (approximate linearization). Vorp6rian describes a PWM (pulse-width-modulated) switch model that includes all non-linear parts of the DC-DC switching converters. This model can be linearized and replaced on the switching converter schematic leading to a linear circuit. At this point it is possible to use symbolic analysis programs to obtain these TFs or to simply apply numerical values for either the Bode diagrams or the calculation of poles and zeros. Here we describe an application of Ekrem Cangeici's method on X DC-DC converter to obtain control to output and line to output TFs in CCM and DCM including loss resistances. The method presented in this paper is optimized to use in the online publishing platform OctaveRS. Also the control to output TF for PCC (peak current controlled) in CCM is obtained.展开更多

It was shown in the previous study that the temporal changes of vertical water temperature distributions during the cooling period between September and February can be reproduced by a simple 3D-CFD model. It was also pointed out that the spatial distributions of cooled water body sinking to the bottom due to water surface cooling represent similar features of forest gap distribution, which can be clarified by a stochastic model. The basic features of numerical experiments on thermal convection such as the spatial distribution of cooled water body are firstly shown with several cooling rates at water surface. Then, a stochastic model, which was originally introduced to explain forest gap dynamics, is shown with its MFA (mean field approximation) as first approximation of stochastic model. It is pointed out through the comparison of theoretical results by MFA with tuned model constants to numerical experiments that MFA with some refinement can be applicable to reproduce the basic features of simulated results to some extent, although further investigations are required to clarify the applicability of the model to more detailed mechanism of thermal convection such as size distribution of cooled water body, phase change of flow pattern, etc..展开更多

The results are obtained by transforming the governing system of boundary layer equations into a system of non-dimensional equations and by applying implicit finite difference method together with Newton's linearization approximation. Numerical results for different values of pressure stress work parameter, viscous dissipation parameter and Prandtl number have been obtained. The velocity profiles, temperature distributions, skin friction co-efficient and the rate of heat transfer have been presented graphically for the effects of the aforementioned parameters.展开更多
