The resultsshow that calcium-based additives can react with molybdenum concentrate to form CaSO4 and CaMoO4. The initial oxidationtemperature of MoS2 is 450℃, while the formation of CaMoO4 and CaSO4 occurs above 500℃. The whole calcification reactionsare nearly completed between 600 and 650℃. However, raising the temperature further helps for the formation of CaMoO4 but isdisadvantageous to sulfur fixing rate and molybdenum retention rate. Calcification efficiency of Ca-based additives follows theorder: Ca(OH)2〉CaO〉CaCO3. With increasing the dosage of Ca(OH)2, the molybdenum retention rate and sulfur-fixing rate rise, butexcessive dosages would consume more acid during leaching process. The appropriate mass ratio of Ca(OH)2 to molybdenumconcentrate is 1:1. When roasted at 650 ℃ for 90 min, the molybdenum retention rate and the sulfur-fixing rate of low-grademolybdenum concentrate reach 100% and 92.92%, respectively, and the dissolution rate of molybdenum achieves 99.12% withcalcines being leached by sulphuric acid.展开更多

In this study, we quantified the effects caused by the invasion of a noxious exotic plant, Kalanchoe daigrernontiana (Crassulaceae), on C and N mineralization and enzymatic and microbial activities in the soil of a semiarid locality in Venezuela. We compared soil parameters associated with these processes (C and N mineralization time and the cumulative values, fluorescein diacetate hydrolytic activity, and activities of dehydrogenase, β-glucosidase, glucosaminidase, and urease) between invaded and adjacent non-invaded sites. In addition, correlations among these parameters and the soil physical-chemical properties were also examined to determine if a positive feedback exists between nutrient availability and K. daigremontiana invasion. Overall, our results showed that C mineralization and transformation of organic compounds to NH4^+ were favored at sites colonized by K. daigrernontiana. With this species, we found the highest cumulative amounts of NH4^+-N and C and the lowest mineralization time. These results could be explained by higher activities of urease and glueosaminidase in soils under the influence of K. daigremontiana. In addition, higher amounts of organic matter and moisture content in invaded soils might favor C and N mineralization. In conclusion, invasion of Neotropical semiarid zones by K. daigrernontiana may influence the chemical and biological properties of the soils covered by this species, increasing nutrient bioavailability, which, in time, can facilitate the invasion process.展开更多

The relationship, between desulphurization efficiency and the parameters of thermodynamics and chemistry, was investigated basically. It is shown that the bed temperature and the vapor partial pressure in the bed are the important parameters that influence the desulphurization efficiency. The closer the bed temperature to the dew point and the higher the vapor partial pressure, the higher is the desulphurization efficiency. With increasing of Ca/S. the desulphurization efficiency ascends. Comparing with different operating methods, the optimum method has been found.展开更多

However, serious erosion of nozzles is common in motor firing operations, which could restrict the application of hybrid rocket motors. Usually, the serious erosion is attributed to the high concentration of oxidizing species in hybrid motors, while the details of flowfields in the motors are not paid special attention to. In this paper, first the thermochemical erosion of C/C nozzle is simulated coupled with the flowfields in a 98% H2O2/hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene(HTPB) hybrid rocket motor. The simulation is made on a typical axisymmetric motor, including a pre-combustion chamber, an aft-combustion chamber and nozzle structures. Thermochemica reactions of H2 O, CO2, OH, O and O2 with C are taken into account. Second, the change of flowfields due to fuel regression during motor firing operations is considered. Nozzle erosion in different flowfields is evaluated. Third, the results of nozzle erosion in the coupled simulation are compared with those under uniform and chemical equilibrium flow and motor firing test results. The results of simulation and firing tests indicate that the thermochemical erosion of nozzles in hybrid motors should be calculated coupled with flowfields in the motor. In uniform and chemical equilibrium flowfields, the erosion rate is overestimated. The diffusion flame in hybrid motors protects the nozzle surface from the injected oxidizer and high temperature products in flowfields, leading to a relatively fuel-rich environment above the nozzle. The influence of OH and the geometry of motor should also be considered in the evaluation of nozzle erosion in hybrid motors.展开更多

For comparison, the epoxy resin system with petroleum sourced hardener methylhexahydrophthalicanhydride (MHHPA) was also examined. The curing behaviour and mechanism were investigated by non-isothermal differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) analysis and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra. The results showed that the curing course of bio-based epoxy resin system containing RAM included two stages, which were the reaction between the free carboxyl group of RAM and oxirane ring under the acceleration of IMA, and the main reaction attributed to the reaction between anhydride and oxirane. According to Kissinger method, the reaction activation energy (E,) of two stages were 68.9 and 86.5kJmo1-1, respectively. The Eo of EP/MHHPA and EP/IMA resin system were 81.04 and 77.9kJmol-I. The processing property of EP/RAM/IMA system, i.e. the relationship between viscosity-temperature-time, was characterized by cone-plate viscometer aim to decide the processing parameter ofprepreg preparation. The effect of RAM content on mechanical performance and dynamic mechanical property was investigated. Noteworthily, compared with the laminates with EP/MHHPA as matrix, the laminates with RAM as hardeners achieved a 44%, 73% and 70℃ increase in bending strength, bending modulus and the glass transition temperature, respectively, due to the bulky hydrogenated phenanthrene ring structure incorporated into the cross-linking networks. When the fiber volume fraction reached 47%, the mechanical property of the laminates prepared with hot melt prepreg was superior or comparable to that of composites with pure petroleum sourced matrix. RAM as cross-linking agent of epoxy resin holds a great potential to satisfy the requirement of composites such as structure and secondary structure parts preparation.展开更多

The reaction mechanisms of desulfurization and denitrification by microwave irradiation were analyzed based on the measurement of reaction products. Thermodynamic parameters for desulfurization and denitrification by thermal-carbon reduction were predicted according to the principles of thermodynamics. The experimental results indicated that the desulfurization and denitrification reaction processes include three reaction stages: slow reaction zone, transitional zone and rapid reaction zone. In high temperature zone, activation energies for the reduction of SO2 and nitrogen monoxide (NO) are 30.69 and 24.06 kJ mo1-1, respectively. This study shows that microwave can effectively enhance the removal of pollutants through its heating effect and the induced catalysis.展开更多

文摘A novel process was proposed for synergistic extraction and separation of valuable elements from high-alumina fly ash.A thermodynamic analysis revealed that to achieve effective carbochlorination,it is crucial to conduct carbochlorination of the fly ash within the temperature range from 700 to 1000℃.The experimental results demonstrated that under the optimal conditions, the carbochlorination efficiency for Al,Si,Ca,Ti,and Mg exceeded 81.18%,67.62%,58.87%,82.15%,and 59.53%,respectively.The XRD patterns indicated that Al and Si in the mullite phase(Al_(6)Si_(2)O_(13))were chlorinated during the carbochlorination process, resulting in the formation of mullite mesophases(Al_(4.75)Si_(1.25)O_(9.63) and Al_(1.83)Si_(1.08)O_(4.85)).After the carbochlorination process,Al was accumulated as AlCl_(3) in the condenser, while SiCl_(4) and TiCl_(4) were enriched in the exhaust gas,and CaCl_(2),MgCl_(2),and unreacted oxides remained in the residue for further recycling.
文摘This work presents numerical optimization techniques for the design of a rectangular channel with inclined ribs to enhance turbulent heat transfer. The response surface method with Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes analysis is used for optimization. Shear stress transport turbulence model is used as a turbulence closure. Computational results for local heat transfer rate show a reasonable agreement with the experimental data. Width-to-fib height ratio and attack angle of the rib arc chosen as design variables. The objective function is defined as a linear combination of heat-transfer and friction-loss related terms with the weighting factor. Full-factorial experimental design method is used to determine the data points. Optimum shapes of the channel have been obtained in a range of the weighting factor.

文摘It has long been recognized that plant invasions may alter carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) cycles, but the direction and magnitude of such alterations have been rarely quantified. In conclusion, invasion of Neotropical semiarid zones by K. daigrernontiana may influence the chemical and biological properties of the soils covered by this species, increasing nutrient bioavailability, which, in time, can facilitate the invasion process.
文摘An experimental study has been performed systematically on flue gas desulphurization by using circulating fluidized bed. Comparing with different operating methods, the optimum method has been found.
文摘A hybrid rocket can be used in various applications and is an attractive propulsion system. The influence of OH and the geometry of motor should also be considered in the evaluation of nozzle erosion in hybrid motors.

文摘In this study, a novel bio-based thermosetting system has been developed from epoxy resin (EP), with rosin-sourced anhydrides (maleopimaric acid, RAM) as curing agent and imidazole type latent catalyst (two amino imidazole salt complex, IMA), to be used as matrix for hot-melt prepreg curing at mid-temperature. RAM as cross-linking agent of epoxy resin holds a great potential to satisfy the requirement of composites such as structure and secondary structure parts preparation.

文摘Sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) in flue gas can be removed by combining microwave induced catalysis and adsorption on activated carbon. This study shows that microwave can effectively enhance the removal of pollutants through its heating effect and the induced catalysis.

文摘Quantum algorithms have been developed for efficiently solving linear algebra tasks. However, they generally require deep circuits and hence universal fault-tolerant quantum computers. In this work,we propose variational algorithms for linear algebra tasks that are compatible with noisy intermediate-scale quantum devices. We show that the solutions of linear systems of equations and matrix–vector multiplications can be translated as the ground states of the constructed Hamiltonians.Based on the variational quantum algorithms,we introduce Hamiltonian morphing together with an adaptive ans?tz for efficiently finding the ground state, and show the solution verification. Our algorithms are especially suitable for linear algebra problems with sparse matrices, and have wide applications in machine learning and optimisation problems. The algorithm for matrix multiplications can be also used for Hamiltonian simulation and open system simulation. We evaluate the cost and effectiveness of our algorithm through numerical simulations for solving linear systems of equations. We implement the algorithm on the IBM quantum cloud device with a high solution fidelity of 99.95%.
