以获得高硬度Ni-TiB2复合镀层为目标,将神经网络与遗传算法相结合对电沉积Ni-TiB2复合镀层工艺参数进行优化。选择超声波功率、颗粒添加量、镀液温度、镀液pH值和电流密度作为因素,并以硬度作为评价指标,采用L16(45)正交表安排实验获取... 以获得高硬度Ni-TiB2复合镀层为目标,将神经网络与遗传算法相结合对电沉积Ni-TiB2复合镀层工艺参数进行优化。选择超声波功率、颗粒添加量、镀液温度、镀液pH值和电流密度作为因素,并以硬度作为评价指标,采用L16(45)正交表安排实验获取了训练样本和检验样本。构建了5-7-1型神经网络,经过训练和验证后可以比较准确的表达工艺参数与硬度之间的关系。用遗传算法对训练后的神经网络进行寻优,搜索到的最优工艺参数为:超声波功率160 W、颗粒添加量5.0 g/L、镀液温度55℃、镀液pH值4.0、电流密度5 A/dm2。重复实验验证了寻优得到的工艺参数是准确的,采用寻优工艺参数获得的Ni-TiB2复合镀层晶粒更细小且均匀性较好,平均晶粒尺寸为14.6 nm,硬度达到495 HV。 展开更多

Ni-TiN nanocomposite films were produced from a Ni plating bath containing TiN nanoparticles by using dc electroplating method. The structure and surface morphology of Ni-TiN composite coatings were analyzed by atom force microscope, X-ray diffraction, and trans- mission electron microscopy. Meanwhile, the anti-corrosion properties, hardness and ther- mostability of Ni-TiN nanocomposite films were also investigated and compared with the traditional polycrystalline Ni coatings. The results show that, compared with the traditional polycrystalline Ni film, Ni-TiN nanocomposite coatings display much better corrosion resistance, higher film hardness, and thermal stability. In addition, the hardness of Ni-TiN nanocomposite coatings decreases slightly with the increase of electroplating current density, which may be due to the synergism of hydrogen evolution and faster nucleation/growth rate of nickel crystallites. 展开更多

The effect of La2O3 or CeO2 particle size on the oxidation resistance of the electrodeposited Ni-La2O3/CeO2 composites in air at 1000 °C was studied. The results indicate that, compared with the electrodeposited Ni-film, Ni-La2O3/CeO2 composites exhibit a superior oxidation resistance due to the codeposited La2O3 or CeO2 particles blocking the outward diffusion of nickel. Moreover, compared with nanoparticles, La2O3 or CeO2 microparticles have stronger effect because La2O3 or CeO2 microparticles also act as a diffusion barrier layer at the onset of oxidation. 展开更多

Nano-CeO2 (RE) particles were co-deposited into Ni-P binary composite coatings by applying pulse current (PC) under ultrasonic (U) field. Morphology, chemical content and crystal microstructure were characterized by environmental scanning electron microscopy (E-SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDXA), XRD diffractometry and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Experimental results show that Ni-P coating reinforced with 15g/L nano-CeO2, in amorphous state and with compact structure, can be improved in the microhardness from HV0.2580 to HV0.2780 by annealing at 600 °C for 2 h. The highest content of codeposited Ce and deposition rate can reach 2.3% and 68 μm/h, respectively. Furthermore, the effect of RE adsorption and pulse overpotential on depositional mechanism was investigated. n-CeO2 particles or Ce4+ ions with strong adsorption capacity acted as the catalytic nucleus to improve densification effectively. During annealing at 600 °C for 2 h, n-CeO2 particles will uniformly adsorb on crystal grain to preferentially pad and heal up gaps of cracking Ni boundaries, promoting dispersion strengthening with refiner-grained structure. 展开更多

By way of bactericidal halo test, the antibacterial performance of various electroplated deposits (cobalt, zinc, copper, silver, gold, nickel, chromium, cobalt-containing alloy of nickel, and nickel-containing alloy of cobalt) were determined. The results of the test show that the electroplated deposits of zinc, cobalt, cobalt-containing alloy of nickel, and nickel-containing alloy of cobalt, silver and copper possess a distinct antibacterial capability against the growth of pathogenic bacteria tested, and that SUS304 stainless steel and chromium deposit have no antibacterial activity. The relationship between the antibacterial capability and the rest potentials of the deposits was investigated. It was found that the higher the antibacterial activity of the electroplated deposit was, the more negative the rest potential of deposit was. 展开更多

The nanostructured copper/microcapsule containing liquid core materials composite(copper/liquid microcapsules composite) was prepared using direct current(DC) electrodeposition method.The surface morphology and microstructure of composite were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results show that the microstructure of electrodeposited layer transformed from bulk crystal to nano structure because of the participation of microcapsules.The diameters of microcapsules and the copper grain sizes in the composite were 2?20 μm and 10?20 nm,respectively.In addition,the electrodeposition mechanism of composite in the deposition process followed electrochemistry theory,which was proved by the theoretical analysis result and the experiment results.Meanwhile,the co-deposition process model was presented. 展开更多

The results show that the Zn-Bi composite with the incorporation of Bi has a finer grain size than the pure Zn coating and improves the mechanical properties. The microhardness is increased by approximately two times simply by adding a small amount of Bi electrolyte into a Zn bath solution. A lower volume loss of the Zn-Bi composite coating compared with the pure Zn coating also indicates that the Zn-Bi coating has a better wear resistance. 展开更多

Zinc alloy coating attracted much attention due to its high anti-corrosive properties.Particularly,zinc alloy coatings containing magnesium was considered a promising metallic alloy due to a remarkable improvement of corrosion resistance.The proper magnesium content for Zn-Mg alloy coatings was studied.The samples were prepared using thermal evaporation method.The influence of Zn-Mg alloy coating on corrosion resistance was evaluated using immersion test,potentiodynamic test,and galvanic test in 3% NaCl solution at room temperature.The results show that the corrosion resistance of Zn-Mg alloy coatings is strongly dependent on magnesium content.Corrosion potential decreases with increasing magnesium content,whereas current density increases up to 15% magnesium content,and passivity region was found only in Zn-Mg coatings. 展开更多

Ni-Si nano-composite coatings with various silicon contents were prepared by a modified electrodeposition process using electrolytes containing ball-milled Si/Ni particles. The effects of the concentration of the ball-milled Si/Ni particles in the electrolyte on the silicon content, structure, microhardness and corrosion behaviors of the coatings were investigated. Scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry were used for structural characterization. Also, the microhardness and corrosion behaviors of the deposited coatings were evaluated. According to the results, the Si level reaches about 10 wt.% in the coating, which is a significant content of Si incorporation for electrodeposition. It was also found that the crystallite size of the coatings was progressively decreased and the hardness was increased, by increasing the content of Si. Typically, the crystallite size and microhardness of the Ni-10 wt.%Si coating were 0.39 and 2.1 times those of the pure Ni coating, respectively. Also, the results showed that there is an optimal content of Si to meet the best acidic corrosion resistance of the coatings. 展开更多
